We’ve filled another thread already, with fantastic support as most of us reach week 3 or 4 and think about pen 2! Thread 3 now as we enjoy the unexpected early summer and move into our second month of Mounjaro, lighter in both scales and mood.

This week is the first time I've gotten hungry and my sweet tooth is coming back. I do think it might be time to move up to 5. Just a little worried about side effects

I would hope that doing all the extra weeks as the therapeutic dose would help with any potential SE's but obviously it's a personal choice.

Good luck whether you decide to stick or go up.

I'm so annoyed at myself for waiting "so long" to order my next pen. The provider I am with offers a price match. I found another provider who is doing 7.5mg for £125, so I have sent them all the info but they've said it could take up to 10 days to get back to me.

So my options are 1) I actually do move to a new provider or 2) I pay £170 when I could - in theory - have a massive discount.

I won't need to use my new pen until 20th June but I guess I've missed the window for the price comparison now?

I'll have to remember for next time. I don't actually want to move provider either as I like mine!!!

Sorry to quote myself (and sorry to post so much today)

Just wanted to say that my prescriber - Simple Online Pharmacy - have sent me a money off coupon for £44.99 to price match the lowest online cost I found already. Despite telling me it could take 10 days, it took less than 3 hours. I continue to be very impressed with them as a prescriber.

A different week 3 to me compared to week 2, suppression and fullness higher this week for sure than last week and hasn’t ran out yesterday or today like last week. So think my period definitely did impact that last week. Ready to take shot 4 tomorrow morning and will weigh then but think I'm down 10/11 pounds in the 3 weeks which is massive for me. If next week is same as this week I think I’ll stay at 2.5mg for another month and see how I go. As I get from a doctor I don’t have to order so have right up to the appointment to decide. So hard to know what to do! I have 3 stone at the very least to lose now to get into top of healthy bmi, seems a lot but know il get there!

I have just got my 2nd pen from my Chemist, and he suggested I went up even though I was doing well on the 2.5, but I had only lost 3.5kg which is around half a stone , but I was happy with that. I will see what the 5mg is like when I use it on Friday. I didn’t have any side effects with the first pen so hope I don’t now I have moved up a dose!

PoisonIvy89 · 10/06/2025 17:03

@Seahawk80
Please don't buy syringes from Amazon, they may not be medical grade or sterile. I'm all for breaking some rules and using the leftover liquid but do so sensibly and take all neccessary precautions, purchase from a pharmacy or medical supplier.

well done @Chunkysewist !

@PeachSnail oh that sounds horrible, hope you feel better soon

@Ricoletti ouch, feel better soon. yay for not wanting magnums!

@Hawkmoth I got new scales recently and they weigh me 0.4lb higher so I now weigh myself on both scales, the old one to track weight because I refuse to give up that half lb and the new one to track all the other stats

@RubyJuno sometimes cream cakes and magnums are medically required to heal broken bones and injured backs so in times of actual pain I think we can be forgiven for treating ourselves, but yay for not wanting to! How is your shoulder now?

edit typo

StartingApril2025 · 10/06/2025 18:39

@PoisonIvy89 oh no I ordered them! They do say sterile in description but you’re right no guarantee, il try to cancel and go with the other link😵‍💫 .
i am only planning to use these to give myself a little more than 2.5mg next week then will be getting my 5mg pen.

PumpKim · 10/06/2025 18:41

Sorry to hear so many people have been feeling unwell lately. Hope everyone is better soon!

Has anyone tried unflavoured electrolytes and any recommendations? I had the free samples from Vidrate and have paid for another bundle this month but I've totally gone off them after liking them last month🙈 I have no idea why but now they just taste overly sweet and fake and I'm having to psych myself up to drink them, the though makes me feel queasy. Tried some from SIS and they were horrible and fizzy, so thinking I want the benefit but just as plain water if anyone knows of any that fit the bill.

Ricoletti · 10/06/2025 19:33

@PumpKim I’m interested in this too. The vidrate are really effective but SO sweet!
others in my household are drinking these too, and they don’t think they are sweet or sickly… must be our new MJ tastes!

Yes I'm thinking it has to be linked to MJ and possibly the fact I've consumed very little sweet stuff, other than fruit since starting. I had a burger in a brioche bun and also found that too sweet. I don't recognise myself 🤣

Icebreakhell · 10/06/2025 21:57

PeachSnail · 10/06/2025 09:38

W8 D1

SW 87.65kg
CW 78.1kg
GW 65kg

3.6kg lost since last week

So, a massive loss -- but not something I'm celebrating as I've had severe diarrhea for 4 days and awful side effects. I've been feeling really poorly, being barely able to eat.

Sorry to be a bit of a downer, as I know this is a space for support and encouragement... But I wanted to share my experience as it may help others if they go through something similar.

(Thanks to @Icebreakhell for sharing your experience - it was good to know that I wasn't the only one)

I'd done 4 weeks on 2.5mg, 1 week on 3mg and then 1 week on 3.75mg (which went well), before doing my 2nd injection of 3.75mg. So I was assuming all would be fine... But I guess the accumulation of MJ in my system proved too much and my body reacted really strongly.

So it's given me a big scare...

I definitely won't be doing my usual jab today. I'm not quite sure when my next dose will be or how much I'll do, but it certainly won't be more than 2.5mg. I think I must be fairly sensitive to this drug and will need to be super careful moving forwards.

For now, I'm trying to focus on rehydrating and getting my body used to little bits of food again.

Hang in there, it’ll wear off. Waiting until it does (10 days for me to feel on safe side) then dropping down a dose worked for me. Touch wood it hasn’t returned. But I remain very sensitive to the drug.

Sorry to hear the ups and downs of this week, but 👏 for the losses and NSVs!

Had my own mini up and down this week with twice losing a lb then putting it back on the next day, but have ended up with a healthy 2lb loss, making it 24lbs in total 🎉.

Looking forward to reading everyone else’s Wednesday weigh-ins as I think there’s a few of us. We’ve got this!

Well im annoyed as my body has done that this week too....and bloody ended on weigh day on the higher lb so im gonna be grumpy while I sit and have my cuppa and then forget about it... lol!

Coventree · 11/06/2025 07:27

Oh no @Sheldon4k! But it’ll hopefully give you bigger losses for next week and then you can dance on the grave that bloody lb 🤣

violetmondays · 11/06/2025 07:38

Haven’t posted for a couple of days but have been reading the posts, well done to all those who have lost - some big losses out there! Sorry @PeachSnail and @Icebreakhell and anyone suffering unpleasant side effects, hope it passes soon.

@PumpKimand @Ricoletti I’ve just recently bought the Vidrate electrolytes and agree, they taste so sweet and artificial. I was using Humantra before and they were better, not too sweet and nice flavours so might go back to those. The lychee one was nice.

I am considering changing my provider. I’ve been paying top whack with Boots but started thinking about how much this might cost if I’m on them longer than expected. I’m not sure if I’ll get accepted though as my BMI is now around 27.5. Anyone swapped and been accepted with a lower BMI?

wlinewbie0425 · 11/06/2025 08:40

Re electrolytes I have these ones as it’s what DP already had at home in bulk from Amazon! I have the cola ones which do have added caffeine too to warn you. Initially I wasn’t sure of the flavour but have grown to really like them.

i started taking them after getting bad headaches at the very beginning and have been ok since - could be coincidence but have kept taking them as part of my vitamin routine.

I’m one of the Wednesday gang too 👋🏻 well done @Coventreeis that 2stone all on MJ?

I’ve lost 2lb this week which is great but I was secretly hoping for a whoosh after maintaining last week. However I’ve had a word with myself already about looking at the bigger picture, and will be carrying on with my 3.75mg jab today as my suppression is plenty high already and I don’t want to risk not being able to get in nutrition by jumping up to 5 in an attempt to speed things up.

so for me on W8D1 my total loss on MJ is now 20lb and total loss since January is 29lb

and we keep on going! This week’s focus for me is being more consistent with strength exercises. Dropped off a bit last week due to busy time at work but need to get back to it to keep muscle!

oh dear, sorry to hear people have been feeling poorly and suffering with sore backs etc, but well done on resisting the urge to make yourself feel better via sweet treats - that's a NSV

I have a huge black/purple bruise on my stomach where I injected my first 5mg on monday, its a bit sore to the touch too, I recall this happened to some others recently, so that gives me a bit of reassurance but does anyone know why its suddenly bruising, 2.5 and 3.75 injections were absolutely fine 🤔

No real increase in SE for 5mg so far apart from extreme tiredness, I literally could fall into bed at 7pm and sleep but obviously can't as I have things to do, anyone have any tips for getting over the tiredness 😴

good luck to all the weds weighers

Coventree · 11/06/2025 09:59

Sorry @violetmondays I’ve got some way to go before I’m below 30 bmi and have that dilemma! Maybe one of the threads where people started earlier than us might be helpful to check in on - I’m sure they’ll have some good insights to share?

Well done @wlinewbie0425, a good steady loss this week 👏 (but understand you hoping for more!). My 24lbs total loss includes 6lbs pre-MJ in April, so 18lbs since starting MJ 🎉

@dozywelshbird hope the bruises aren’t too bad ☹️

PeachSnail · 11/06/2025 10:08

@violetmondays I've ordered from a different supplier with a BMI less than 30. It's absolutely no problem. As long as you can show proof of your previous prescription (i.e. email or photo of previous pen box) then you're fine. They just need to confirm that you're continuing rather than starting at that BMI

Crunchymum · 11/06/2025 10:19

Well done on all the losses - people will soon be joining the 2st club 🎉

I have only just limped past 1st.

Have ordered my first 7.5mg pen and it will be here this week, have one more week at 5mg first though.

I need to go up - food noise is high, suppression is low and weight-loss is now very close to what I could do without WLI, if I were being very disciplined (I am currently averaging less than 2lb a week)

Coventree · 11/06/2025 11:03

Hope 7.5mg works for you @Crunchymum🤞(and achieving over 1st loss is still brilliant- whether it’s MJ-fuelled or willpower-fuelled or a combo of both 👏)

Ricoletti · 11/06/2025 11:04

I’m here to talk about poo again, natch!

so, I was convinced I was ‘constipated’ as hadn’t pooped since Friday…

had a laxido and 2x magnesium on Monday night… nothing.

had another laxido and x2 magnesium last night…. Send help!!!! 🚨 💩

so, I think the take home from this saga for me has been that my gut transit is very slow, and if laxatives don’t work within 24 hours don’t then take more 😲

Flowerchild547 · 11/06/2025 11:48

Well done those with losses this week!!
I’m also a Wednesday weigher and lost 2lbs this week and 19lbs now since starting MJ.
I’ve started my second 5mg pen today, I’m hoping to continue losing 2lb a week for a steady loss and would really love to get to a 2st loss by the end of June.

Hopefully the nice weather coming means lots of lovely salads!

Hawkmoth · 11/06/2025 13:16

@Ricoletti sympathies. However, having left it 48 hours after a failed dose once, that's worse 😬

Banana34 · 11/06/2025 13:26

-4.7lb this week. 23.7lb down so far!

Well done everyone

Nearlyhadenough · 11/06/2025 15:45

I had an HRT review with my GP today (at my request). I have been on a combined tablet for years and am being charged to a oestrogen gel and a progesterone tablet.

The guidance says to take double the progesterone when starting or going up a dose, but I’ve been told I can take double all the time if I feel ok.

Anyone had to make changes?
