New thread for all of us.
Thank you for allowing me to rant, share our ups and downs. Our group blows my mind of how we are so supportive of each other.

Some of us are now hitting the 12 week mark, some of us are nearly at their goal, some halfway and some still have a way to go, but we are all losing even if it’s half a pound a week. We have all come so far and are making a difference to our health.

@Amjam2025 @TheBossOfMe I'm also thinking of splitting the dose as every Wednesday and Thursday the food noise Is loud in the final 48 hours before Friday jab day. I'm on 5mg at the moment so still fairly low. Also debating going up to 7.5 on next pen but don't want to rush up the doses too soon and also the cost is a jump to 7.5

DH says not to mess around with it too much (I'm already doing golden dose against guidelines) and that weds and Thurs are good chance to "practice" using willpower for when (if) I eventually come off mj. I see his point but I don't ever want to come off it, the benefits apart from weight loss are too good to give up, the pelvic adhesion and adenomyosis pain ive had for years has completely gone among other benefits.

@Fatmumslim01 I think quite a few people do it successfully - for the food noise or suppression reason. I would go up to the 7.5mg pen if you can and then you have the freedom to count clicks and dose as you wish for the next month or potentially longer. I went from 5mg (mild SE) to 6.5mg but unfortunately the SE were far too much for me so I plan to start again and work my way up to 5mg, see how I get on and then potentially gradually go slowly up from there.
I totally get you on practising willpower, at moment mine is almost non existent!
Hope it works for you!

Weigh in this morning and jab 12
SW 13st 3lb
CW 11st 5lb
GW 9st 7lb
half way there, slow and steady, hoping to get the whole way on 2.5mg, we’ll see.

Has anyone noticed a disappearing bum? Wish it would disappear off my doughy belly and stay put on my juicy glutes.

GameOfJones · 06/06/2025 16:15

@Flamethrowers I am 100% with you on my image of myself not catching up with my amount of weight loss. Because I was already trying to lose weight since last year and then starting taking Mounjaro has sped that up I've gone from over 15st to 12st. But I struggle to see it for myself.

I was speaking to someone at work yesterday that commented on my weight loss so obviously it is noticeable to others. I was saying my goal is to get into the healthy BMI range and they said they were surprised I wasn't already. I think in my head I still think of myself as being the fat girl.....as that is what I have been for most of my adult life. But realistically, that isn't what other people see. I'm not even convinced that they saw a "fat girl" when they looked at me before I lost the weight, I think they just saw me and most if not all of this self criticism is in my own head.

LilyLondon · 06/06/2025 16:30

@Ingangoolie yup, welcome to the disappearing bum club. I’ve lost everywhere but the bum seems disproportionately affected. So now I look like a log, with no boobs (post-kids) and now no bum.

Might need to start doing targeted glute exercises in addition to my current reformer pilates routine, but I don’t think they would cause the glutes to grow if not coupled with a lot of extra calories, so not sure how to tackle it now…

Amjam2025 · 06/06/2025 18:32

@TryingMJ wow you look fantastic....huge well done!!

needtolose70lb · 06/06/2025 18:39

SW 17st 4lb
CW 13st 12.9LB !!!!!
TW 12st 4lb but would really like 11 something.

Wow, some amazing losses and nsvs this week. Congrats! To those who are struggling or having a blip, just keep plodding on. It always seems to get bad and then suddenly better. If you can keep following the plan then it will work, even if it doesn't feel like it right now. This is for life. Bodies do weird things. A blip for a day, a week or a month is still just a blip. YOu've done amazingly well to get to today from wherever you started.

Now just remind me of all of the above when I have a bad day/week/month!!

Weigh in day yesterday and I am now in the 13s for the first time in a very very long time. Loss has definitely slowed down and I tend to spend a few days at the same weight but lose something in the week. Sometimes I go up before I go down. But I know it's ok.

Struggled with lots of parties this week and have had more alcohol then I have done up until now. Unfortunately it hasn't affected me too much so I will need to make sure that doesn't undo the goood work so far. I still don't crave it at all, which is great, but I am not saying no in social situations.

I am also seeing some differene in the mirror but not as much as the weight loss should show. Until I saw a photo of me and a colleague yesterday and I couodln't believe how slim my face looked. No more bloated puffer fish. That was a very nice shock. Just need my brain to catch up.

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 06/06/2025 18:44

Thanks everyone, I've also been reading less here which I don't think helps.

@TheBossOfMe I'm going to jab day 6 this week, which will be back to my "usual" day. I've definitely been less organised around food, and more chaotic.

@Bipaloss the contraceptive thing us interesting, I've been on the mini pill for a year but ran out a couple of weeks ago. I wonder if that's made a difference? I'm wondering whether to do 5mg again or skip up a bit to 6 maybe. The 5mg doesnt seem to be having an impact at all. Weird because I'm on week .....11 I think and this was my first 5mg having had great results on 2.5 and 3.75.

@Puddingpiper it was my first dose at 5mg so I'm unsure about what to do next. The habit/addiction thing is a real problem.

@Fatmumslim01 the cup of tea is a good point, I have previous been very conscious of drinking plenty of water, having a tea to tide me over etc but that's all gone out the window for some reason.

Soooo. Do 5mg again and on the correct day? I think I probably should

We have both lost 3 stone! Who would have thought 14 weeks ago we would be here just in time for summer.

@TryingMJ and @TheSpoonyNavyReader 3 stone is a huge loss since March! You must feel great! 👏🏼

Ingangoolie · 06/06/2025 20:14

@TryingMJ and @TheSpoonyNavyReader yes, wow, and those photos are phenomenal 🤩

Puddingpiper · 06/06/2025 21:07

@TryingMJ wow that must make you feel great looking at that progress picture.

@Illbefinejustbloodyfineit is hard I’ve just upped to 3.75 today as the suppression was much lower I also really wanted a cigarette which I stopped about 4 weeks ago.

Wow what an absolute transformation in such a short space of time and what a huge loss! Congrats and well done

you are just below my bmi target weight and if i look like that at goal I would be over the moon (apple shape and already loose skin with 2st off 4 st to go so will need skin removal )

good luck with the last Lb but you are beach ready as it is !

Hormones deffo play a part

I was on a stall on last 3-4 weeks as I was doing 6mg on average and limited suppression . Played around with the doses that I have moved from Sunday to Wednesday (during 3 jabs , 6 days intervals) that didn’t do anything for me until I moved to 7.5 mg this week (which is again giving me hope), although TOM started Monday and ended yesterday and this is normally when I lose the most and but have complete suppression and a whosh in loss last 48 hours , hoping it either remains or continues until Sunday when I complete week 12 🤞🏻

deffo going up to 10 mg next jab but then hoping to hang around there for 8-12 weeks considering I have another 4st I want to loose

RuthEvershedforPM · 06/06/2025 22:55

Wowsers 🔥 @TryingMJ

JudgingJudy · 06/06/2025 23:22

I'm starting week 13 today - 12 weeks done. No loss for me this week.

I was out for breakfast this morning and finished my plate (post injecting 5mg) whereas I remember being unable to finish the same meal when I was on 2.5. It was only 2hrs post injection... if that means anything.

My total weight loss is 15lbs and at 5ft 8.5in and 167lbs my BMI is exactly 25. My TW when I began was 160-165lbs. I got down to 165 after a low carb diet about 8 years ago,With high cholestrol this is probably not the best diet for me and 18lbs had crept up. I think I will try to get closer to 160 and then go back to 2,5 pens for maintenance.

My NSV is that my clothes fit! And I really have a lot that were too tight. 15lbs is definitely a clothes size. I am not thin but I feel a lot less hefty!

I exercise a lot - Parkrun, swimming cycling weights.

Congratulations to all the losers and for those of us who STS (or gained) - we'll have to be patient.

Spondoolie · 07/06/2025 08:00

Morning all

loving the vibes in here this week!

I have now lost 33lb which is great.

5’1 and 48

SW: 14
CW: 11.09
TW: 8.10

I just can’t believe I’m not binging. That’s the main freedom for me. No loss of control and the self hatred that comes afterwards. Its amazing

Flaitch · 07/06/2025 08:37

Morning,

catching up with the thread. Well done everyone on their losses!

@TryingMJ Wow! What a change!

after weeks of bouncing up and down I’m slowly going down.
SW 13.4.4
CW 11.6 week 14
following everyone’s advice started on psyllium husks taking 2 a day. Started well and “got things moving” 😂 but back to being over a week before I “moved” again!
has anyone any tips how to keep regular? I eat lots of fibre and protein and drink 3l of water a day?
I really wanted to be at target for my holiday at end of July (9.7) but decided to change to 10.7 after a long stall as knew it wasn’t realistic. But at this slow rate of roughly a 1lb a week think I’m gonna be lucky if I get into the 10s😖
Taking the positive that the last time I was this weight was 4 years ago!

Ingangoolie · 07/06/2025 08:46

@Flaitch dried dates are my friend

TryForSpring · 07/06/2025 09:04

The thread might be useful, @Flaitch .

I had to take magnesium in addition to psyllium. Also are you taking capsules? You may need to take more (with a huge glass of water at the same time)

Anybody got very constipated on lowest dose of weightloss injections and managed to resolve it? www.mumsnet.com/Talk/weight-loss-injections/5335649-anybody-got-very-constipated-on-lowest-dose-of-weightloss-injections-and-managed-to-resolve-it

Morning all, just want to say thanks again for your support it really helps, I feel in a much better mindset this morning. Going to set aside sone time to plan my weeks meals and get so e exercise in today.

@Puddingpiper I was drinking a LOT of wine pre MJ. Pretty much cut it out over the past couple if months but this week I've been awful with it
