New thread for all of us.
Thank you for allowing me to rant, share our ups and downs. Our group blows my mind of how we are so supportive of each other.

Some of us are now hitting the 12 week mark, some of us are nearly at their goal, some halfway and some still have a way to go, but we are all losing even if it’s half a pound a week. We have all come so far and are making a difference to our health.

A slice of Colin the caterpillar for me this evening before weigh in & jab day tomorrow 😊
I’m going to be working backwards in the week doing 2.5mg jab every 6 days for few weeks to work around trips away and holidays coming up.

Puddingpiper · 05/06/2025 20:59

from what you have said it sounds like you need the increased dose, everyone responds differently and has different philosophies around the dosage. If you are not feeling the suppression then for me it is time to go up, a lot of people only do 1 pen at 5mg as they don’t see good results.

we do need to address the habit and addiction elements as well but if you still have plenty to lose then there is time.

I was just thinking this evening about the habit and addiction.

told someone w3 I was on MJ as I was acting a bit odd at the time (odd eating , cold etc) that it could be easy to be addicted to it

after no suppression for 3 weeks on avg 6mg I’m absolutely loving the absolute fullness I have 24 hours into 7.5 mg . Although I was dizzy in middle of a very important work meeting today where I had to focus to the side in one spot to not let my legs fail , horrendous but love the feeling. Why? When I have eaten limited calories in the past I get the shake, the I’m starving myself now I’m not I’m just full pressing my body to the max . Really unhealthy if this was put into words without the jab context but I know it will last for 2-3 days and only this week and maybe next until I increase, or at least that’s how it’s been so far .

today I put on a suit that is by now 2 sizes too big and a flowy top that is more like a dress compared to start of the year , well sideways in the lift I still see me , the old me . Got 2/3 of journey left and today was awakening that this is such a brilliant tool and together with this group I will make it to where I am happy to look at the reflection. The suppression I have today makes me fight even harder - I can do this, with no MJ I probably drowned myself in crisps, cheese and drowned my sorrows of the reflection etc.

we just have to keep going and support each other beyond as we climb, reach, maintain and adjust!

mumofmanydaughterofone · 06/06/2025 07:00

Weigh in day!
SW 195 (beginning March)
CW 171.6
GW around 147

I've got a holiday in 4 weeks and hoping to get below 12 stone by then - genuinely think the last time I was 11 stone something was when I got married 28 years ago! So mini goal of 4lb in 4 weeks should be achievable

popdepop · 06/06/2025 07:20

Morning, weigh in day here too!
SW 21.3.25 16 stone 11
CW 06.06.25 14 stone 6
GW initially 11 stone
mini goal - into the 13s by end of the month.
Have a good day all

northernlight20 · 06/06/2025 08:06

Morning, weigh in this morning
sw 114.4kg
cw 101.3kg and bmi has gone from 45.3 to 40.0. A long way to go yet, but slowly getting there. Hope everyone has a good day.

LilyLondon · 06/06/2025 08:56

Weigh in day and after doing a little math, turns out I’ve lost 10% of my SW!

SW: 13 st 3 (84.1kg)
CW: 11 st 12 (75.5kg) - total loss 8.6kg
GW: 10 st 10 (68kg)

I’m already feeling good at my current weight, it’s below the “set weight” that I’ve been at for most of my life so I feel small despite being in the overweight bmi. Mini goal is to fit into all my clothes and I think I’m about two pairs of shorts away from that. And from there, I’ll mostly continue to allow my body to get used to the new habits and food choices.

Amjam2025 · 06/06/2025 09:25

Morning everyone, feeling a bit low this morning.

I have had a short break from MJ for a round 2 weeks (due to family holiday and horrendous side effects) prior to the break I was taking 6.25mg but had the worst stomach cramps, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea i've ever experienced.
Tues night i re-strarted MJ and jabbed 2.5mg as the advice says to go back to starting dose but i have absolutely no suppression at all. I was expecting this result as it was such a short break and my body is already used to MJ but i didn't realise I would feel so miserable about it! I feel like i've really messed up my MJ journey.
I was really happy with my weight losses before the blip and the 2.5lb gain from the holiday hadn't initially bothered me but for some reason i just feel completely de-railed today. Think part of it is knowing I need to stay on 2.5mg for another 3 weeks and my willpower just seems non existent at the moment - think I ate over 2000 calories yesterday :(
Wondering whether I can gradually build up my dose over the next few weeks ie next week take 3mg then 3.5mg etc which may help, or even split doses (i've not done this before). My provider is Superdrug so all appointments are face to face but my prescriber likes to follow things to the letter and I feel like if I ask her, she will tell me to follow the 'proper route'. Just want to get back to where I was before...slow steady losses, being positive and not feeling like shite.

tryingtobesogood · 06/06/2025 09:51

Friday weigh in for me this week:

SW: 17 st 4 (109.8kg)
CW: 15 st 9 (99.65kg) - total loss 10.15kg
GW: 12 st (76kg)

I'm so pleased to have moved in to the 99kgs! I have an average loss of 1.6lbs a week, which is great, nice and steady. Chatgtp says I would get to my target by the end of January, which I would be very happy with.

I am away for 2 weeks next week, and I am going to swim every day and do lots of walking so hoping that will help to keep things going while I'm away and hopefully kick start me being more active because I haven't had the energy to exercise yet.

Being so big (and only 5 2'') I have found exercise to be really difficult, which has surprised me as in the past I have loved to exercise. I find this much extra body weight just too much to haul around an exercise class etc. But here's hoping 2 weeks of walking and swimming will give me the boost in fitness I am looking for. And also tone things up a bit, help with the saggy bits lol.

I'm not much of a rule follower to be honest so I would say go for it. It's only been 2 weeks, so you should still have a lot of MJ in your system, and you are only bringing it back up to where you were, its not like you are going straight to 15mg!!

I do play around with my doses, which others would not. I am away next week so am skipping a dose. I am thinking about having only a half dose before I go, and a half dose when I get back, then moving back to my normal dose.

TheSpoonyNavyReader · 06/06/2025 10:04

Good morning all

I am excited and thrilled, it’s week 14 for me and I have had a woosh, probably as I have not had any wine since the wedding.

Today I weigh 10st 4lbs which is a 3 stone loss or 42lbs or 19kg but more importantly I have slide into (just) a healthy BMI 24.7 which is amazing. My brain has not caught up with my weight loss. I can finally fit into the skirt that has been hiding in my wardrobe unworn for years.

Week 14
SW 13st 4lbs
CW 10st 4lbs
TW 9st

@tryingtobesogood thanks for this, I am defo seriously considering playing around with my doses, just need a bit of advise from people who have been successful - I am so scared of getting the nasty SE back lol.

Have you dont split doses before? I've seen some people on the thread do 2.5mg then a few days later do another 1.25mg etc. Not sure how many days to leave in-between though. OR I could just wait til next Tuesday and go up to 3 or even 3.5 even though i've only done 1 week on 2.5mg.

tryingtobesogood · 06/06/2025 10:09

@Amjam2025 yes I have done that, I took the larger dose on sunday (I wfh monday so felt like a good time) and then the smaller dose thursday. This worked well and stopped me having side effects moving up to 5mg. I am now on 7.5mg and am finding the appetite suppression overwhelming at times, hence having a half dose before I go away rather than a full one.

TheBossOfMe · 06/06/2025 10:12

@Amjam2025 I do a split dose, 5 on a Thursday and 2.5 on a Monday. It works really well for me and avoids the SEs that I had on a full 7.5 dose. Like @tryingtobesogood I'm not that much of a rule follower!

tryingtobesogood · 06/06/2025 10:18

@TheBossOfMe I am considering this when I come back from hols. I get wicked suppression at the beginning of the week then it falls off a cliff at the end. Maybe spreading the dose out might help to even it out a bit, and help with the constant low level side effects I have.

and nice to know there are other renegades out there 😂

TheBossOfMe · 06/06/2025 10:26

@tryingtobesogood That's exactly the problem I had, at the beginning of the week on a full 7.5mg dose I felt so full after eating, for hours, well into bedtime, and struggled with sleep as a result, plus was freezing and nauseous, but then by Day 5/6 I had no real fullness, but continued SEs. Doing the split dose has evened out the fullness so I can sleep ok, and has taken the SEs down to a manageable level of feeling cold.

tryingtobesogood · 06/06/2025 10:30

That's good to know, I don't want to drop back down to 5mg as I wasn't losing as much, so this could work. Thanks @TheBossOfMe

Puddingpiper · 06/06/2025 10:42

It has been a myeh week on the scales here I have basically stayed the same between 0.5kilo up or down from last week all week. I’ll take it though as due to the pups I’m running on between 4-5 hours sleep a night and food has not been as structured as normal but this is real life.

I have drunk a lot more fluids this week which is good and none of it has been alcohol!

seasidehunter · 06/06/2025 10:53

Heading towards the end of another week and still no movement on the scales. Was 11st 1.5lb on 26th May and when I did a sneaky weigh in this morning I was still the same. I don't weigh daily - aim for once a week and then step on the scales occasionally in between and when I do it keeps popping up a lb or two and then coming back to this same weight. Very frustrating! Official weigh in is sunday/monday so its got a couple of days to change I suppose.

Planning on bring jab day forwards this week. Normally its Sunday night/monday morning, but I go on holiday 4 weeks today (woohoo) and I want to jab before I go and then not while I'm away. So, will bring it forward to Saturday evening this week and then to Friday evening in a couple of weeks.

Amjam2025 · 06/06/2025 11:04

@tryingtobesogood @TheBossOfMe Thanks! How many days do you leave in between your split doses? I'm thinking.... if I do 2.5mg on Tuesday, I could then do another 1.25mg maybe Saturday which is 4 days in between.
Would I then repeat this again on the following Tuesday/Saturday or always keep 4 days in between jabs?

MrsMariaReynolds · 06/06/2025 11:06

Morning ladies!
Had another rubbish weigh in this week, up a pound from last time, so that's put me in a mood. Took my last dose of 7.5 yesterday and despite another month of slow loss and very little suppression, I've gone and ordered another 7.5 pen because I'm afraid of "maxxing out" before goal, if that makes any sense.

Still chasing that overweight/obese threshold, now 4kg away. It seems like it's taking forever 😞 I'm thinking of stepping away from social media for a little bit so if I don't check in for a few weeks--best of luck to you all, ladies ❤️

tryingtobesogood · 06/06/2025 11:09

@Amjam2025 the advice is 72 hours between doses. So you can stick with Tues/saturday

TheBossOfMe · 06/06/2025 11:24

@Amjam2025 That sounds like a good split and yes keep to the same jab pattern every week, it's easier to remember and not accidentally re-jab too soon! I do 5mg on Thu (helps contain my weekend gains) and then 2.5mg the following Monday, then rinse and repeat.

I've shifted a grand total of 0.7lb so far this week, it's definitely faster to gain than to lose, even on MJ 😂I'm holding onto water a lot though - my face looks a bit puffy, which is always a telltale sign. And still no period. So hoping for a whoosh when that finally makes an appearance.

@tryingtobesogood I'm only 5 foot so similar to you and weigh 13-5 at the moment so very obese and I find swimming really good exercise. Sometimes I do a gym workout but it's just so hard as I'm carrying so much weight whereas in the pool you are weightless. I wear a "burkini" style modest swimsuit so feel confident walking to and from the pool etc. I cover collarbone to elbow (ish) to knee in public anyway for personal modesty reasons 🙂

Amjam2025 · 06/06/2025 11:32
