Oops - posted on the old thread before seeing we had a new thread, so reposting here.
Morning all, midweek accountability weigh in.
SW 10st 4.6lb/144.6lb BMI 25.7 (prescribed MJ because of diabetes risk and hideous waist measurement)
CW 9st 1.9lblb/127.9lb BMI 22.7 - 16.7lb down, 73.9% of target achieved.
GW 8st 10lb/122lb (22.6lb total target loss, 5.9lb to go) BMI 21.6
Loss by week:
W1 5.5lb
W2 1.3lb
W3 0.7lb (ate out loads)
W4 3.3lb
W5 0.5lb gain (ate out loads)
W6 3.8lb (Post Easter weekend plus period)
W7 2.6lb
W8 1.5lb gain (BH weekend away, ate out loads)
W9 1.1lb
W10 0.4lb so far
Got rid of the gain weight from W8 now, which is good, although it takes a lot longer to get it off than it does to put it on 😂
Oddly feeling not that much suppression on 7.5ml - nowhere near as much as I felt when I first started MJ. Maybe that's just my brain getting used to what not wanting to giant portions feels like and adjusting to a new (actually old) normal for me? Either way, it's probably good because I'm eating enough to keep nutrition levels in a good range without having to force myself, hopefully that'll help with maintenance when I get there.
Tonight is going to be a challenge though - I'm going to a retirement dinner at Hakkasan and it's a set menu in a private room, with a stupid number of courses. I got the menu from the lady who is organising it, and even if I pick at the food, it's pretty calorie dense, and the sheer number of courses is going to make it really hard. Plus Chinese food always makes me retain water. So I'm expecting a bump tomorrow even with a lot of willpower.
I'm realising how much my job is a bit of an issue when it comes to diet! Typically in a work week I'll have two or three client/supplier lunches, and then one or two dinners on top. That's a lot of eating out - lunches aren't so bad, because they're alcohol free and nobody blinks if you just have a salad with dressing on the side as a single course (long lunches are a thing of the past in my industry), but the dinners rack the calories up pretty quickly. And then at least one social dinner as well. I've started taking my own food in for lunches in the office - I usually have working lunches, but in London a lot of people bring food in Tupperware and we don't order in for it, so they're better than NY working lunches. I did a really rough calculation of total calories consumed across the week - and eating out for three dinners and two lunches is a large percentage of my overall calories for the week!!! I think it's fine so long as I'm really mindful of that, and balance the rest of the week out well though.
@SharpOpalNewt Love how casually you slipped into the 11s! Well done.
@Bipaloss I think a lot of people will need surgery - skin is elastic but it has limits to how much it can shrink back. Nothing wrong with giving it a helping hand.
@TheSpoonyNavyReader Thanks for repeating those super motivating words in the OP, love reading it every time I load this page.
