Thought I'd kick start a new thread for this oh so supportive little group, as the last thread was reaching it's limit.

Of course you can, the last few threads have been very inclusive and I hope we can continue on this thread too.

Well done on your weight loss so far!

Well done & welcome @LordJohnGrey

CosmicCuppa · 04/05/2025 19:01

Can I join you please?

I started four weeks ago and have lost 9lb. I lost 2 and a bit stone beforehand.

SW: 24 stone 6
CW: 21 stone 6
GW: 14 stone

I’ll still be classed as overweight at 14 stone at 5ft9 but it’s a far cry from where I’ve been so right now that’s the big goal.

I'm 4 weeks in too, jabbed my 5th dose yesterday and chose to take 5mg.
Well, I say chose, I messed up the golden dose and got all in a pickle so just went for it!
10lb down here.
I've weighed in kg...
SW 133.7
CW 129.1
I've set lots of little goals, from 1 stone, 10%, right down to healthy BMI, but my 1st big target is 100kg.

NSV today, I'm very pear shaped and have managed to get down to size 20 bottoms but needed some smaller t-shirts as my size 22's are looking a bit too baggy now. I got a bundle of size 18 tops from vinted and they all fit and they actually look nice!

That's amazing!! Well done you.
I've never stuck with a diet long enough to get into smaller sizes, and I think it's what throws me off the diet.
Keep googling pictures of the amount of fat I've lost, and reminding me that pts probably coming away from around my internal organs - which is obviously a good thing.
Bet you're buzzing to be dropping the dress sizes

NSV today. Wearing shorts today (hardy allotmenteer). Normally they ride up my inner thigh. Today, no riding up.

Blood tests last week and my blood sugar was in the normal range, not even in the pre-diabetic range. I am diabetic. This isn't a cure, it means my diabetes is being controlled.

I would like to join, please! I took my first dose today, after the box had lingered in the fridge for days. It was trying on a dress yesterday in M&S that galvanised me. I looked hideous.

SilenceInside · 04/05/2025 20:14

Hello to all the new joiners, and thank you to @TheFunkyDuckling for the new thread.

MummyInTheNecropolis · 04/05/2025 21:01

Just checking in, thank you for the new thread Flowers

TheFunkyDuckling · 04/05/2025 21:03

Awww @HandsFaceTeeth I'm sure you didn't!! But I also reckon we've all had those moments!
I daren't even go shopping on the high street cos so few places stock my size in store.

Thanks for the new thread. Loving everyone's NSVs - honestly can't even imagine ever wearing shorts, love that @GnomeDePlume ! And obviously the blood sugar levels 👏

SilenceInside · 04/05/2025 21:07

@HandsFaceTeeth I have a bit of a fear of high street changing rooms, having had so many times where nothing fitted or hating what I looked like in whatever did fit. I can’t bring myself to try again even though I’ve lost about 2/3rds of the 12 stone I need to lose.

peppercornrent · 04/05/2025 21:18

10 stones seems an insane amount of weight to lose, and yet here I am, almost a year later and 7st down without even having to think about what I'm eating and/or counting calories. It's amazing stuff, how can such a tiny quantity of active ingredient make such a difference to your life? Magic!

peppercornrent · 04/05/2025 21:18

And yes, still more to go, but it seems possible now.

Bibulous · 04/05/2025 21:18

The really good news is that I'm now six stone down and only a couple of pounds shy of half way to my goal weight! And I can cross my legs properly!

The bad news is that I've suddenly developed hyperthyroidism as a side effect of medication I was on last year. I've just started some tablets to hopefully control it but I'm waiting to hear back from the pharmacy if I should stop the MJ until my thyroid is under control again. I've been put on the endocrinology waiting list but it could be months before I see a consultant 😟

TheFunkyDuckling · 04/05/2025 21:20

So lovely to hear the success stories, cos being only 4 weeks into my journey and 10lb down, it feels like a massive undertaking at the moment.
Struggling to believe i could be in your shoes this time next year x x x

You got this

Break down into 1- 2 stone goals

Seems less daunting

The time flies trust me

Lola3034 · 04/05/2025 21:59

I decided to check in as well. Still loosing, however very slowly. Just moved to 10mg and i hope that it will speed up the weight loss.

lifeisaronancoaster · 04/05/2025 22:00

Hi all, looking at starting this month. Currently over 160kg (how did that happen 😳!) So a lot to lose at 5ft 4in. Which pharmacy would you recommend? Thanks and great to hear some inspiring stories.

Check out monj.co.uk
Some pharmacies just offer the pen, some are subscription models which offer more support in theory.
You can chop and change pharmacies each month to get the best deal too.
I've chosen to stick with one with cheaper prices across the board.
Lol out for discount codes too x x x
