Yey!!! Well done. You are there really..
it would be so cool if you hit target on Christmas day!

Fabulously, I was another lb and a bit off this morning and weighed in at 143.2 so 0.2 lb off goal!!!!! I'm now moving to be a maintainer, woohoo.

Merry Christmas all!

Best Christmas pressie!! Woo hoo 🥳

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas xx. I’m off on holiday tomorrow for 4 nights. 42 pounds down in weight. Hopefully I won’t feel so self conscious using the hotel pool 😬
I hope we’re going to continue this thread in the new year, I feel like I know you 😂😂.

OrangeDonald · 26/12/2025 21:46

Just had a few weeks of endless Christmas parties and my weight hasn't massively increased like i feared it would (combo of rich food & titrating down doses).

Im back down to 5mg, thinking of staying on this dose for another 3 weeks and then maybe creeping down to 3.75 on my next pen.

Similar here. I do worry about going down further (also currently on 5) but it appears to still work well on the lower doses.

I wonder how low I can go.

MerryChristmasYaFilthyAnimals · 27/12/2025 09:42

Well done @OrangeDonald. I'm still only on 4mg and losing, I think I'll eventually aim for 2.5 but maybe every 10 days.

@Lindy0070 I'll be here, I've got another 1stone ish I'd like to go. :)

Goinghome25 · 27/12/2025 14:59

I will be here too. Keep me on the straight and narrow!

Lindy0070 · 27/12/2025 15:53

@MerryChristmasYaFilthyAnimals Ive got at least a stone to go too!!! See you on the other side of the Christmas festivities 🥳 😂😂

Lindy0070 · 27/12/2025 15:55

@Goinghome25 Thank you so much 🇲🇹🌅🍹

TrinityWaves · 28/12/2025 19:55

I'm sticking around too 😁
Maintenance is a whole new era and titrating right down, I'm now doing 5mg a week. I have 145mg in total in a few pens in the fridge (including the 'fifth dose') and plan to microdose 5mg for a while, then 2.5mg, then off. I'm injecting Tuesdays but weighing all the time, if I go over 10st 3 (143 lb) I go straight back onto 1200 calories.
I'm also trying to work out how to slowly work my way up to maintenance calories too (which should be 1600 sedentary).

JunoRoma · 29/12/2025 17:25

I'll be checking in occasionally for a little while yet. On 3.25mg at the moment, planning to try going down to 3mg when I start the next pen.

I've maintained in the healthy weight range for 3 months now, and celebrated by getting myself properly fitted for new bras.

Goinghome25 · 29/12/2025 18:25

Congratulatiions on the maintainance @JunoRoma

TrinityWaves · 29/12/2025 22:34

Those of you on maintenance what sort of weight range do you allow? I.e 10 stone - 10 stone 3 type thing

I've decided to try +100 calories each week, increasing every two weeks until I get to maintaining TDEE but I'm so aware of how weight can fluctuate.

shrinkingfi · 29/12/2025 22:39

Still have two stone to lose (just over 4 gone) but lost my way a bit as my FIL has been on end of life path over Christmas. I’ve just been fire fighting keeping it together and maintaining on a reduced dose of 7.5mg to minimise side effects. New start in the New Year, hope there are a few left here with a bit to lose: you maintainers have done great. Inspirational!

My healthy BMI goal weight is my upper limit.

When 10mg started feeling too strong, (I lost another 4lb below goal) I lowered my dose to 7.5mg.

Stayed around the same give or take 1-1.5lb for 10 weeks so planned to drop to 5mg after Christmas.

However I just weighed and thanks to Christmas I am back at goal weight. So now I will stay on 7.5mg and track for a bit.

Maintenance has been pretty dull so far so I am secretly enjoying this drama! 😂

JunoRoma · 01/01/2026 01:20

Goal weight was 67kg
Current weight is 65kg, I don't want to go below this.

I'd like to stay below 70kg

Goinghome25 · 23/12/2025 21:22

Yeah mine doesnt prescribe it either, I have to pay too but my GP is very interested in the positive effects of me taking it.

Ditto, the NHS guidelines for prescribing will rule most of us out, but I had a chat with my GP before starting and recently had a catch up. She has been v supportive and impressed by health gains — no longer prediabetic, off high blood pressure meds and breathlessness vastly improved. Interestingly, she also said Mounjaro has fewer side effects than Wegovy

Sorry to hear about your FIL :-( When big life events happen, weight loss is the lowest of priorities and you have to focus on your family.

TrinityWaves · 02/01/2026 20:31

I've decided to maintain 140-143 lb (or 10st - 10st 3). As I'm slowly increasing calories, hopefully I'll drop to the lower end of this to kick start maintenance with a bit of a buffer.
I'm certainly hungrier on 5mg but my ideal dose was really 10mg until I dropped to 7.5mg at the end of the summer, as I decided to work through the stash and not buy any pens at the higher cost. So, it makes sense. I think this is a good way for me to titrate down and off.
In the end I've lost 8.5 stone (BMI was 42, now 23), generally a size 22 when I started now down to a size 10 mostly (I say this because we all know how much sizes can vary but I mean on average!). I've lost 13" off my bust, 13" off my waist and 14.5" off my hips/bum. MJ is fabulous and life changing.

Lindy0070 · 02/01/2026 23:09

That’s amazing. Well done on your achievement 🙌🏻🙌🏻👏🏻

Slimwannabe · 04/01/2026 22:43

@shrinkingfi so sorry for your loss. Absolutely prioritise you, your partner, and the rest of your family - the lbs can wait!

Have had a 5lb jump over Christmas - not yoo worried, no way I ate that, it's all water and ovulation weight.

Wishing you all a very happy new year!

Hi everyone, good to read all the updates although I haven't been able to reply for a while. @TrinityWaves that's AMAZING! You must feel fabulous!

@shrinkingfi I'm very sorry to hear you're going through that.

Very relieved here to find I have maintained over Christmas break despite carb and ice cream-laden Mediterranean holiday. In fact scales think I've increased muscle slightly. We were very active, walking loads, so I suppose that's the key.

Do any of you try and incorporate fermented foods? Tim Spector seems to be almost evangelical about them and is on lots of podcasts saying we should aim for 3 different ferments a day (yoghurt/ cheese/ sauerkraut/ kombucha/ kimchi/ sourdough /coffee /chocolate/etc).

I like listening to his podcasts, and a lot of stuff he says about UPFs and healthy gut microbiome make sense to me. But i cant quite wrap my head round why he thinks fermented foods are so super incredible.
