1 year + counting...
Loss this week: -1 lb
SW: 263.4 lb BMI 42
CW: 147.2 lb
TL: 116.2 lb
TW: 143 lb BMI23, so 4.2 lb to go - so near, yet so far lol

Claudette7934 · 10/12/2025 01:43

It’s 1 year today. I can’t believe how far I have come.

SW-196lb
CW-112lb

I have lost 6 stone. I’m back to the weight I maintained from puberty to mid-30s.

More importantly I have

Reduced menopause symptoms
Got rid of heartburn and inflammation
Skin tags have disappeared
I’m running/training properly again
I’m looking forward to socialising
I have so much more energy
I enjoyed holidays this year

Thus drug has transformed my attitude to life and I am so grateful.

Currently titrating down and am on 5mg. Contemplating staying on a low dose forever.

6 stone is incredible. So many benefits to reap. Enjoy that feeling you so deserve it.

This week I am into my 2nd year of MJ.. and maintaining at a healthy BMI

Decided to stick, not twist and not try to lose any more. Im happy here at bmi 24 and have stayed at the same weight for 3 months now.. some people who see me every week are saying Ive lost weight - I havent.

Im taking 7.5mg now and would like to move to 5mg after Christmas.

Nonono18 · 12/12/2025 17:19

I think it’s my mounjoversary today. 1 year and 7 stone 4 lbs gone. To say it’s changed my life would be an understatement! From BMI 42 to 26 (still overweight!!) I am around a stone from my revised target. Last Christmas I saw a gorgeous outfit of a mini leather skirt, black polo neck and black tights and thought next Christmas I am going to wear that. Well this week I bought a similar outfit in a size 12, last Christmas I was a size 22.

ShrankLastWinter · 12/12/2025 20:16

@Nonono18 7 stone!!! That’s incredible! I just can’t believe how we would have all felt this time last year if we’d had crystal balls!

Enjoy your outfit!

Just over 1 year on MJ!

Loss this week: -1.8 lb
SW: 263.4 lb
CW: 148.2 lb
TL: 115.2 lb
TW: 143 lb

Only 5lb to go!

Slimwannabe · 17/12/2025 11:34

Not been much scale movement recently but after an afternon tea and shittonne of wine yesterday I thought I'd pop on the scale to assess the damage and was pleasantly surprised to be nicely in the 13s (at last!) 5st 9lb off so far, but mentally preparing for a little christmas hiccup!

OP posts:
MerryChristmasYaFilthyAnimals · 21/12/2025 11:33

Weighed today! Injected 4ml ish again yesterday (50 clicks of 5ml pen).

10stone 4lb. So close to 4.5stone gone. Everyone and suddenly realised I've lost weight! I went out last night wearing a size 12 skirt and knee high boots. I felt incredible! And have and tons of amazing comments on my pics!

I really want 9stone 9lb because that's 5 stone, but no idea after that. At 10 stone 4lb I'm just still in overweight category due to my height, but I can't believe how much I've changed.

My big thing now is I want to find a sport or activity to do. I used to love kick boxing when I was 13stone, but lost my love for it. I'm a bit lonely and want to go try something! But I've no idea what. I normally hate the gym, but seeing lots of vids of people at them and want to look more like them.

Slimwannabe · 21/12/2025 18:50

Amazing @MerryChristmasYaFilthyAnimals! Sounds like you have really found your confidence again, that's so brilliant!

Do you enjoy yoga or pilates? When I was younger I used to do a street dance class at the gym and loved it - was so much fun it didn't feel like being at the gym!

OP posts:
Slimwannabe · 21/12/2025 18:51

After a stagnant couple of weeks 3lb off for me, which takes me to 5st 10lb loss. If i don't go above a 3lb gain over Christmas then I'll be happy. Planning to keep the exercise up but not restrict too much - just not go crazy.

Goinghome25 · 22/12/2025 14:16

Just posting to wish you all a Happy SLIMMER Christmas wearing the new outfits, looking fabulous and enjoying yourselves!

MerryChristmasYaFilthyAnimals · 22/12/2025 15:10

I can't believe this time last year we were all just starting our journey and wondering if we were insane starting at this point! And look where we are now.

maybe if I get a little bored over Xmas I might total up our collective threads weightloss!

@Slimwannabe never really got on with yoga but wish I could. I still have slight issues on my right arm from the weights I did back in march. It's never quite recovered to full strength, but still need to do something. :)

TrinityWaves · 23/12/2025 09:11

Quick, usual Tuesday check-in!
Loss this week: -1.8 lb
SW: 263.4 lb BMI 42
CW: 144.6 lb
TL: 118.8 lb
TW: 143 lb BMI23, so only 1.6 lb to go!!!

MerryChristmasYaFilthyAnimals · 23/12/2025 12:59

Oh fuck. So I've got gallstones. Which I've happily denied for a year to get MJ. I've taken on board the stay low dose and lose reallllky slowly.

Medexpress and my drs have been in comms but Medexpress have never noticed it. Just ordered my next pen and they've asked if I've had my gallbladder out. The answer is no.

But I've not had a flare up in over 20 months and prior to MJ I had a few grumbles but since weightloss and overhauling my diet I've not had anything.

I've replied to the questions, but I assume they won't prescribe now.

so options are try and find one that will whilst declaring them. Or order about 8 pens from difference places all at once and by the time they chat to my Drs I'll have enough meds for another 13 months.

Failing that, my friend is just planning on coming off it so could get her to get a 5mg for me for a bit. Luckily I have two doses in this pen and a new one. But arggghhh

Oh no so frustrating.
Sounds like you have options to explore though.

What are the risks theyre worried about?

There's an increased risk of gallstones and therefore pancreatic issues with rapid weightloss. The fact I already have gallstones means they can get worse if I was to do rapid weightloss.

Medexpress have said not able to prescribe. I've now gone to Asda pharmacy as they actually didn't ask if I had gallstones. (Although did ask if I have any conditions I need to make them aware of, but I've had no issues in nearly two years, so didn't add it).

MerryChristmasYaFilthyAnimals · 23/12/2025 14:57

Asda have prescribed for me and bonus as now I'm not actually lying on my prescription. :) hopefully these will be fine for now :)

Oh that must be a relief! Have you had a chat to your GP about Mounjaro? Might be good to talk it through with them.

Mine was really supportive - and is now very positive about the improvements to my overall health losing weight has given.

My drs won't discuss MJ with you unless you meet all the other requirements for it. So they'd just say to keep going private (which then needs me to find someone to prescribe appropriately), I will see how I get on with Asda for now.

It's given me the kick to get to the gym in the NY (had already enquired at one or two) and then start the fitness journey too. Work on this last 8-12lbs and then figure maintenance. :)

Yeah mine doesnt prescribe it either, I have to pay too but my GP is very interested in the positive effects of me taking it.
