Just starting up a new thread!

OP posts:
Goinghome25 · 16/08/2025 11:01

@Slimwannabe it is an investment in yourself and we are all worth every penny!

Just weighed this morning and I have finally made it! To my 3 stone loss🙂
And my initial target weight of 10.7.

I am so so so so happy!!!

JunoRoma · 16/08/2025 11:11

@Goinghome25 congratulations on losing 3 stone! 🥳

Goinghome25 · 16/08/2025 11:16

Thanks @JunoRoma
Could not have done it without the support of this group.

Back in December, nervously taking the first dose I really couldnt have imagined this, and yet... here we are! Here we all are!

Slimwannabe · 16/08/2025 13:51

Congratulations @Goinghome25, that's fantastic! I hope you've planned a treat for yourself to celebrate!

I reached my goal a couple of days ago: height:waist ratio 0.55, which for me turns out to be at 69-70kg (11 stone).
I still have a bit of a tummy, but some of that is my womb (which is the size of a 20 week pregnancy).
My BMI is 25.5 and I'm happy with what I see in the mirror. I can now fit comfortably into size 14 jeans, which I'm very happy about.

My plan now is to continue on 5mg for the remainder of this pen, which gets me to early September, when I'll be able to return to my term-time eating and exercise routine. Then I'd like to try tapering down slowly (as I did titrating up).

Goinghome25 · 16/08/2025 16:02

Sounds like a good plan @JunoRoma

Thanks @Slimwannabe the treat is being able to walk around wearing shorts and feeling happy 🙂

Slimwannabe · 16/08/2025 18:10

Congrats @JunoRoma, that's amazing. I'm so pleased for you! Looking forward to hearing about your maintenance journey!

Congratulations @Goinghome25 and @JunoRoma! This is fantastic news!!

CountryVic · 17/08/2025 11:12

I’m struggling so badly with fatigue, im on 5mg and take on Saturday after work, approx 5pm, and typically Sunday is a write off, literally sleep till 9, do a few small jobs then nap from 2-5 and back in bed by 8. I work 6 days a week, overtime in an admin roll, nothing physical, and I miss my Sundays, im just feeling so off.
My nurse suggested more protein, but I struggle to eat Sunday to Tuesday, I’ve upped the water and having electrolytes too, just a bit over it all.

OrangeDonald · 17/08/2025 13:00

@JunoRoma and @Goinghome25 massive congratulations to both of you on reaching your goals.

JunoRoma · 17/08/2025 16:06

@CountryVic that sounds difficult. You've already taken the steps I would have suggested (drinking enough water, making sure you're eating enough).

When I struggled with (different) side effects on 5mg I took 4.5mg every 8 days for a month before moving back up to 5mg every 7 days, but you might want to discuss with your nurse and/or prescriber.

CountryVic · 18/08/2025 10:15

I sat on 3.75 for 8 weeks, but wasn’t really loosing. And with the cost of it all, I need to keep going, although I’ve now come down with a cold 😣

Have you checked your iron levels @CountryVic ?

Goinghome25 · 18/08/2025 13:38

Or does this only happen on Sundays after injecting?

MerryChristmasYaFilthyAnimals · 18/08/2025 19:46

@CountryVic I find 5mg wipes me out too. I'm back at 4mg and finding it a little better.

im still bloody stuck on 11stone 2. However massive NSV. I went shopping this weekend for jumpers/cardigans. I had one last year and that was it, it's now massive on me. The clothes I got at the weekend ranged from 2 sizes down from my current wardrobe to 3 sizes (although was oversized to begin with). I had a little cry of happy tears I could walk into all shops and just fit in the normal clothes section. I've now got 5 gorgeous new tops and some new work trousers. And still keep debating a gorgeous red leather jacket from Joe Browns (although have the blue one already)

I've had my friend over tonight and I've gone through everything in my wardrobe. It all got tried for fit/size. I've now got over 30 things to list on Vinted!

id say yes, the fatigues usually gone my Monday, I can work all week no issues, but I think I will look at getting a blood test, thanks for the suggestion. I’m off work today, cold has morphed into a sinus infection 😣

Loss this week: -2 lb
SW: 263.4 lb
CW: 171.8 lb
TL: 91.6 lb
TW: 11st

ShrankLastWinter · 19/08/2025 11:05

Nice progress @TrinityWaves!

But sorry you’re ill, @CountryVic. Iron seems to be a problem for me, especially since the MJ is making my have periods (well, breakthrough bleeding on mini pill) again. Have been getting tired and headachey in a way I recognize as been low iron. I’m taking a liquid iron supplement now.

A week or two ago I also decided to try eating more carbs, having largely cut them out, and that immediately meant I felt less tired and faint. I had started getting distinctly woozy standing up suddenly. I need to be quite low carb, because they make me gain weight like nothing else, but apparently I do have to eat some.

NotMeNoNo · 19/08/2025 18:40

Well the good news is I passed the 70kg milestone this week (which is also 11 stone), after a very long plateau. (SW 85 kg,/ GW 64kg). Hopefully can shift the last 6 kg before Christmas.

The not so good news is I had a really bad reaction to my last 10mg injection on Friday, couldn't keep anything down until Sunday night. It's been a month or so since I had any real nausea so hopefully a one off.

I'm resigned to probably having to stay on WLI long term. I would think I won't have to eat quite as little to maintain as opposed to losing weight. But it seems like any increase of daily food goes straight back on as weight.

JunoRoma · 19/08/2025 19:19

@NotMeNoNo sorry to hear about the adverse effects last weekend, although it's good news about the 70kg milestone.

CountryVic · 20/08/2025 13:18

I’ve perked up again, dreadful head cold set in so maybe that was part of it all.

I feel for you @NotMeNoNo nausea and vomiting is horrendous 😔

Goinghome25 · 20/08/2025 14:14

@NotMeNoNo hope you feel better soon. Well done on getting to 70kg.

Did you eat anything leading up to feeling that way that you dont normally?

When I had bad nausea/ sickness back in July it was the build up of a few weeks on 10mg coupled with a small amount of rich food. I had a day of mint tea, water and banana and then was ok again. It only happened once. Maybe youll be the same.🙏

mjjourney · 21/08/2025 14:49

Hi all! Crikey I haven’t posted on this thread in what seems like months! I’ve been lurking though :)

so I’m on week 37 of my mounjaro journey (how?!) and currently at a 51 loss and currently at 11st 1lbs.

the lowest weight I’ve recorded for myself in my adult life is 10st 5lbs and that was in 2016 so that’s my initial target for now!

currently on 10mg which is good for me - have gone back to calorie counting to ensure I’m meeting my protein goals. I’ve got 2x 12.5mg in fridge but I’m nervous to increase for some reason!

hows everyone been after the news about the price increases?

Hello

Well done on your great progress!

Cant comment on the 12.5mg as 10mg has been my highest dose and I actually lose best on 7.5mg. Not sure why!

Thats good you have spare pens. I wish Id done that now.

Im on 2nd dose of my only pen. My provider initially did a live telling customers to order 3 pens. I had 3 maintenance codes so used them. Then they asked if we could stagger our delivery dates. So I moved mine to delivery at end of next week for a single pen with other 2 pens for a Sept and an October delivery.

There is lots of panic around just now re supply chains and orders being cancelled so who knows what will happen next. I have 3 weeks (with 5th dose) left so hopefully things will have settled down by the time I run out.
