Week 30
SW 15 stone
CW 12 stone
TW 9 stone
total loss 42 pounds!

finally made it! 20% of start weight, a lovely round 3 stone gone! Huzzah and hurrah I’m half way there! @MerryChristmasYaFilthyAnimalsstill twinning 😁😁 might have a burger to celebrate!

Yesssss! Go you! Three stone feels such an achievement doesn't it.

I ate a lot of crap this weekend. So ignoring the scales today. 🤣.

frogpigdonkey · 30/06/2025 19:20

Thanks all- last few weeks have felt like a bit of a crawl to get there so it’s very cheering to finally be there! Now just got to do the same thing all, over again 😂😂😂

shrinkingfi · 30/06/2025 19:23

That’s such a milestone! Amazing. Well done! Imagine how much hotter it would feel 3 stone heavier🥵

frogpigdonkey · 30/06/2025 20:15

@MerryChristmasYaFilthyAnimalsdunno if you feel this too, or whether it’s physical or psychological, but on Mounjaro I can have crap days and still not feel like I’ve burned it all down. It feels like on previous diets when I’ve had a crap few days that was the ‘fuck it’ trigger that went straight to binging. Whereas this weekend I went to a bbq, had a burger and a sausage and trimmings, then a light pudding, all of which I greatly enjoyed but felt no need to go further or feel like I’d destroyed my good work.

and yes I’ve been so grateful to be able to wear cooler and more comfortable clothes in the heat! That and the not totally filling a plane or train seat are my biggest NSVs to date. Bought some smaller pants this week!

OrangeDonald · 30/06/2025 21:36

I am grumpy as appear to have gained 2kg this week. Which isnt a lot, but as I'm averaging 0.5kg loss every week its like I've wiped out the last month. Although I'm telling myself its probably because I'm downing so much water and i just weighed myself at the wrong moment.

My NSV is slightly vain - i walked past the shops today, saw my reflection in the windows and realised that actually i have nice legs now. So I'm taking that as a win, even if the scales aren't my friend this evening

frogpigdonkey · 30/06/2025 22:35

@OrangeDonaldi can easily have a 2kg variance in a single day depending on how much I’ve drunk, whether I’ve eaten certain carbs and so on so I’m sure it’s just a scales blip. And good on you for appreciating your lovely legs! Mine is collarbones and shoulders. Can’t get over how nice they look even with more weight to lose. Sadly my tits are sagging for England but we take the wins we can get!

ShrankLastWinter · 30/06/2025 23:25

@frogpigdonkey whoop!! Fantastic milestone! Totally agree on the plane seats, it’s so much easier and more comfortable traveling now.

@OrangeDonald i also have that kind of variation depending on water balance and, err, toilet issues. Since I know I’m eating in a deficit, I just ignore all but the lowest readings. Though once I’m in maintenance I’ll have to pay attention to the fluctuations to make sure the trend isn’t up.

Saggy tits but greatly improved legs here too 😆 Gotta take the wins

WoT day!
W31D07
Loss this week: -4 lb
SW: 263.4 lb (BMI43), Size 22
CW: 184.8 lb (BMI30.5), Size 16
TL: 78.6 lb
TW: 11st (BMI25) or 30.8 more lb (and hopefully a size 12 ish!)
Current dose: 10mg
NSV: Obviously melting in this heat but it's so much easier this size than 5+stone heavier!

JunoRoma · 01/07/2025 10:38

@TrinityWaves you are close to leaving the obesity zone!

ShrankLastWinter · 01/07/2025 15:29

Wow Trinity that is so much off! We are here to cheer you over the BMI 30 line - getting closer!

TrinityWaves · 01/07/2025 15:52

Thank you both! (This week was a nice whoosh after staying the same last week, although I do average, overall, about 2 lb a week.)

Week 31

Sts
Sw 13.7
Cw 10.12
Gw 10

Still 8lb to healthy bmi
12lb to gw

In past 7 weeks Ive only lost 2lbs... is this a plateau?

I dont want to go up any higher dosage wise. Im on 10mg every 5 days, sticking to 1300 cal a day, exercising but the scales are not budging!

I have a maintenace call with my provider next Tuesday and it will be interesting to see what they advise I do next.

Got to say that if I can stay at this weight forever I will be more than happy, however, it would be soooo good if I could be in the healthy bmi range!

JunoRoma · 03/07/2025 16:06

@Goinghome25 I've also really slowed down in the last 2-3 weeks. I haven't been able to do much exercise (due to the heat) which can't be helping.

ShrankLastWinter · 03/07/2025 16:57

I keep slowing and then a bit of a whoosh and then super slow again. I don’t know if it’s a thing nearer goal. Hope you whoosh soon

Yes the heat, that could be a factor too.

Maybe I have to accept that after 6 months of losing my body may need to settle and adjust to its new weight?

A woosh would be good tho!

JunoRoma · 03/07/2025 21:27

@Goinghome25 - From December until mid-June I had been steadily losing 0.5kg to 1kg a week . Even my 'plateaus' were still a downward trend, just less steep.

My rational mind realises that rate of loss is not sustainable indefinitely, especially now that I've lost more than 30% of my starting weight.
However, I had got used to seeing the trend line always going downwards, and I'm finding it quite psychologically uncomfortable when it doesn't.

That feeling of satisfaction from seeing the numbers go down is sort of addictive.
I realise I need to address this, especially as I'm getting closer to goal / maintenance.

Thats it! you have described it perfectly. Its IS addictive! I think its so easy to keep on increasing the dose to chase that high!

Its hard to accept that the bulk of the weight is actually gone now and it will be small incremental changes from here on in.

i think my head needs to catch up with my body. I honestly still feel fat but realistically at 25bmi I am not really that big anymore.

When I was 19 I was 1.5 stone lighter than I am now.. i ate 800 cals a day and my Dad had to have stern words with me. IVE JUST REALISED that is my mental benchmark of me being slim!

Another 8 or 9lbs off ... no more! Its just hard to believe where I actually am now.

Have you got a maintenance plan in mind?

OrangeDonald · 04/07/2025 11:11

@JunoRoma i think in the clinical trials after 72 weeks on MJ the average loss was 22% of body weight. So your 30% total loss smashes that average - especially as you've stuck to relatively low doses. If you look at what you've achieved already maybe that will help with the 'panic' of a plateau?

Im at 15% lost, another 5% to get to goal weight but i am also experiencing a stall. However, its too hot to exercise, I'm enjoying a few too many pina coladas, ice cream has entered my diet, etc. I'm giving myself a bit of breathing room whilst the weather is so hot. My 2kg gain the other week got me in a bit if a flap, but it melted away overnight.

MerryChristmasYaFilthyAnimals · 04/07/2025 11:59

Some great losses still trickling through the thread.

@frogpigdonkey i don't really consider myself on a diet, so I just eat what I want. Some days that can be very bad calories wise (a few protein shakes and a bit of chicken). Some days more balanced and some days just crap. As I don't consider it a diet as such I just don't feel like I've failed and then switch to blow out. I just eat as I have been doing.

I saw an 11.7 on the scales this week, but a few things on before official weight day on Sunday so we shall see if it sticks around.

frogpigdonkey · 04/07/2025 14:27

@MerryChristmasYaFilthyAnimals that must be why we are twinning because it’s pretty much exactly my overall approach! I’m somewhat conscious of overall calories but on a loose basis (sadly the Bridget Jones thing- I think most women know what calories are in most foods!). And nutrients- was conscious I felt crap when I’d only eaten crap, even in a calorie deficit, so I’m making sure I get a reasonable balance there as well. But if I want a drink I have a drink, if I want an ice cream I’ll have one, and if all I can stomach is instant ramen I’ll have them and enjoy them!

ive really upped fruit intake in the last few weeks and that helps a lot, with the odd sugar craving but also the constipation and overall vitamin intake. Plus the strawberries are amazing at the moment!

JunoRoma · 04/07/2025 14:27

Once I reach my goal I'd like to continue taking Mounjaro for at least another year or two.

There's evidence that significant weight loss causes changes to hormones (leptin etc) which increase appetite and encourage weight regain, and that this effect lasts for at least a year after losing the weight.

I'm hoping to just continue on 5mg for the time being. If I need to reduce the dose then I'd want to titrate down as slowly as I went up (which was very slowly indeed).

frogpigdonkey · 04/07/2025 14:46

@JunoRoma I feel the same. Based on current progress I’m going to take at least 6 months to get to target and have no intention of cold turkeying then. I’d like to drop down doses slowly or look at less frequent jabs but I’m not going back to my old ways and weight.

Lindy0070 · 04/07/2025 16:41

Jab day and weigh in is tomorrow but I just wanted to share my results today as I had to have a Google Meet dispenser consultation today. Anyone else had to do this? I thought it was a bit pointless and I think I’m going to be relying on my bonus dose tomorrow.

SW 213lbs
CW 182.6lbs (13 stone 0.6lbs!)
TW 161lbs

Total loss: 30.4 poundsI’m nearly into 12 stone territory!! The last time I remember being in the 12’s was back in 2004 when I did a tandem skydive in NZ. They put 81 (as in kgs) with a sharpie on my hand. I’ll never forget that. I was gutted back then!!! It’s taken a long time to lose this weight and I’m determined to keep going. I’ve got about 21 pounds to lose to get to target weight. WHEN I get there, I think it’ll take a few more months with my slow but steady progress, I’ll review it then to see how I feel.
Quick question…… I feel lighter and I can tell I’ve lost weight but my stomach is like soft pastry! It looks doughy! Does my skin need to tighten up? Can anyone advise please.
Have a lovely weekend all xx
