I went to a boot camp workout class tonight I had a jacket potato when I got back with a bit of butter on it, I had thought I’d have a bit of Easter egg after but i forgot to have it hahaha who forgets to eat a bit of Easter egg haha and also who only thinks they need just a bit of Easter egg - old me would have had a whole Easter egg but nope I just completely forgot and went to bed 😂😂😂

Okay, maybe taking back what I said last night about no side effects or suppression after taking the bonus dose. This morning I’ve had a bit of an upset stomach and nausea. Nothing too bad but definitely making me not want to eat much.

I am like you today, first day I've woken up hungry and jab day tomorrow. Friday evenings are my nemesis!!! I will have to occupy myself this evening and keep the willpower up until tomorrow :(

@Fingerscrossed25see photo attached (when it’s been approved). Sorry you’re struggling, I know it’s so frustrating when you see others losing more and in less time! @TC4is right though, a loss is a loss, but that doesn’t make it feel less disappointing, especially when you’re working really hard. Congratulations on the exercise 😊 I haven’t got myself back into that yet, I did a 10 minute workout a couple of days ago and found it so hard!

I feel somewhat hesitant to advise as I’m obviously not qualified to, I only feel safe to say what I would do if it was me. If it was me I’d increase dose, you’ve already done a month of 2.5 so could have increased your dose safely
within the standard treatment plan anyway. I’m not sure about how extra clicks will affect a 2.5 pen. I think it has a limited number of clicks? Might be a good idea to ask on one of the longer running threads with people who have a lot more experience.

W4d1 jab done. I still feel nervous every time I have to jab, not because I’m worried about the needle but because I struggle with health anxiety and am always like ‘what if something crazy randomly happens this time and I’m not okay?!’ 🙄 silly brain.

I’ve been hoping that I might make it to a stone lost when finishing my first pen. Still an attainable goal with how much I’m losing on average per week (and including bonus dose week) 👍 hope everyone has a good day

End of Week 3 (2.5mg)
CW: 16st 3.5lb
W1: -4lb
W2: -1lb
W3: -1lb
Total loss: -6lb

(Although -12.5lb from my original start weight when I joined SW a year ago, which I have to remember because it all counts)

I feel slightly frustrated at the slow loss the last 2 weeks but in any other context I'd be pleased with that loss over 3 weeks so I need to remember that.

My only real SE is constipation/sluggish bowels. And honestly I think it is effecting the scales. I've taken a senakot the last 2 nights so will carry on with that for a bit to see if it helps. I drink about 3ltr water a day so I know that's not the issue just MJ slowing things down.

I'm going to be doing my last 2.5mg tonight plus a top up of 1.25mg from the golden dose to get 3.75mg before starting 5mg next week.

How's everyone else doing? Any plans over the weekend?

So official weigh day today and jab later on.

start weight 99.3kg
weight today after 5th jab 92.7kg
total loss 6.6kg - I think that takes me to the 1 stone lost mark 🙌🏻🙌🏻

I initially felt a bit disappointed with todays weight as it has been lower during the week (I weigh daily) especially as I felt possibly slight side effects and I thought stronger suppression with the higher dose. But then I looked at the overall picture and also I’ve had a period this week and exercised on Monday and yesterday. I’m enjoying movement so much more and I’ve tried on some summer clothes and feel a lot better in them and actually have options for my holiday packing 🙌🏻🙌🏻.

I really need to work on my water intake I hardly drink anything and that’s not going to help me!! I might think about getting some senna as I’m definitely not the same in that area as before, do they cause you any stomach cramps or anything?

I’m reluctant to use laxatives too much in case my bowels get reliant on them. I thought I already ate plenty of fibre - 30 different plants a week, seeds, legumes etc. But I’m trying fibre supplements. Couldnt face massive horse tablets of the husk stuff, so trying gummies instead. They’re UPF though, so that’s a compromise. So far, so good.

Weigh day & Jab day for me!

Wk 5 golden dose. Was hoping to get 0.9ml for a 3.75 dose but only got 0.7ml out so it’s a bit more than 2.5 anyway.
New 5mg pen next week and will do 3.75 then.

SW 15st 10lbs 4th April

I'm just coming to the end of week 5 and feeling a bit deflated. 10lbs off in the first 2 weeks and just 1.5lb since then. (A pound ON this week!) Plus, I have the heavy bleeding after 5 years of menopause :(
I'm sticking under 1200 cals per day and very low carb so I was hoping for a bit more off tbh. Maybe I should increase my cals to give my metabolism a kick? I've done this in the past and it's worked temporarily but I just don't feel like eating more (very unlike me).
The initial rush is definitely wearing off but I can see benefits elsewhere - blood pressure down, blood glucose normal, rhr significantly lower and even my rosacea has calmed down. Long-range goggles definitely needed at the moment.

Very happy with loss so far. Was going to do golden dose but realised I had only ordered needles and no syringes 🙈. So took 5th dose from new pen. Am sticking on 2.5mg as working for me and still have to be mindful about food without becoming overly reliant on the MJ.

Medexpress just messaged me, so I’ve just ordered my third pen and gone to 7.5mg. I’m hoping this is my last pen, but I’m going to titrate back down with bigger gaps and smaller doses once I’m at goal weight, which I’m hoping is in around 10lb time. I’m losing less than 1lb per week, which I’m not unhappy about. I’ve taken 3.5mg this week (W5D5) and not having significantly better appetite suppression. So unless I have over 1lb loss by Monday, I’m planning on doing 5mg next week and then staying there for the rest of that pen - 3 weeks.
Here I was six weeks ago hoping I’d be able to stay on 2.5mg 😬

Hi Everyone,

I took my ‘bonus dose’ this morning and weighed in officially. Annoyingly the scales have gone up a pound from my mid week low but I am a bit bunged so I’m trying not to stress about it. I’m 2lb off a stone loss so will hopefully get there before I start my new pen.

I picked up a 2.5mg pen from Asda today. Suppression is good for me so felt ok sticking with this but now feeling nervous as I read about suppression wearing off mid way through the second pen. I’m going to try and change supplier this time so might request a 5mg when I do that. It’s hard to predict where my body will be in 5 wks time!

just picking up my daughter from school - we always go for lunch after and I’m having my secret weapon of porridge for lunch - hopefully that will get things moving and the scales too!!

The senna hasn't upset my stomach at all. I mean I've only taken 1 tablet for 2 nights and you can take up to 2 a night. I'll report back if I do get any SE but so far it's ok. Seems to have helped a bit too so 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Is it a bad idea to store my pen at the back of the salad drawer? I saw somewhere else that it shouldn’t be kept at the back of the fridge as it could freeze but wasn’t sure if that applies to the drawers.

Have you tried glycerin suppositories? They are available everywhere (pharmacies, supermarkets etc). They just soften the stool and make things easier. There are times for laxatives and times when a suppository will do the job. As far as I’m aware, laxatives only cause issues if we are using them several times a week (most problems are in people using them daily. Once or sometimes twice a week should be fine. I’m not a doctor though!
