@TC4 My little person is 22mths and he's FULL of energy.

@Potato1234 did you have gestational diabetes in your pregnancy? I did. It's why I'm determined to get my weight down before we start thinking about baby #2 within the next year (obviously not while on MJ)

Yeah I was on steroids for HG, which gave me GD. I was so ill following birth that I actually got down to my pre pregnancy weight within about 6 weeks. BUT I was heavy before I even got pregnant, years of infertility leading to depression and overeating. I’m not in that space anymore and want to start a new chapter in my life and be happy and healthy. Not sure I could/want to have any more children but if I did, I would want to be a lot lighter so I understand. I felt really judged being plus size and pregnant. I mean I was 20 stone the day I was induced, but still only a size 18. I would never want to feel that judgement again!

I'm ordering my 5ml from Med express, where I ordered my 2.5. Does anyone know if I have to go through all the questions again etc or is there a way to just order? Bit confused. Thanks.

I keep mine in the fridge, but wrapped in foil so it could just be cheese or something 😎

Mine is in the back of a box of fevertree 😂

Quite a few of us seem to have very little ones here.

how old are all of your little ones??

mine is 3 year old redheaded full of energy crazy girlie haha

I’m definitely enjoying some of my new found energy and ability to move around with her but she is taking full advantage haha

Dd 13, dd3 and ds almost 2 for me. Youngest 2 are much wilder than dd1 😂 so I’ve really got my work cut out for me!! Also diagnosed with gd in my last pregnancy. Have no intention of any more babies though.

I actually lost loads of weight after ds (4 stone) because he had suspected cmpa and I was breastfeeding so cut out dairy from my diet and lost a lot. But regained 2.5 stone after reintroducing dairy having done milk ladder. I stopped bfing very recently solely so I could start mj. My mental health hasn’t been great for the past 6 months and weight plays a bit part in that so on balance it felt like the right choice for me, luckily ds took it fine or I probably would have stopped taking it.

Sounds similar to be weight wise. I gained alot in the years prior to my pregnancy with my son. I had many miscarriages so my son is a miracle much like your little one I'm sure. I'm sorry to hear you had such struggles. It's an incredibly difficult journey.

We're hoping we will be able to convieve again and praying for no losses next time as we found out what was causing mine and we successfully managed that for my son but you never know. I just want to be healthier weight wise before I think about trying again. I was lighted 6wks postnatally that I was pre pregnancy too. But it all piled back on after I stopped breastfeeding/pumping at 6mths. Got to my heaviest weight outside of pregnancy then at 17st 2lb and joined slimming world (with some success but VERY painfully slow losses). So with that and now starting my MJ I'm -12lb total sonim feeling hopeful for a slimmer me going into another pregnancy (if I'm lucky enough) x

Reporting back after going up to 5mg yesterday

no additional SE. Just the usual fullness quickly when eating and lack of interest in food. Now to see whether it’ lasts longer than the 2.5 and then I’ll be happy sticking where I am

so for those concerned, it’s been ok for me :)

Good to hear. I’m starting 5mg tomorrow but was thinking of perhaps doing 3.75mg first. That said, I’ve had very little suppression and weight loss on the 2.5mg compared to others on here so maybe I should just got for it.

SausageRoll90 · 30/04/2025 23:32

@fox919 Wow what an incredible breastfeeding journey you've been on feeding as long as you have - amazing achievement. My son had tongue tie so it was a very difficult journey for me but proud we managed something at least (he was combi fed boob and bottle/formula). Sounds like our boys are similar age as mine's nearly 2 as well 🥰 although sounds like you've got more experience with this mum things than me haha. Tips welcome ahaha 😉

Fingers crossed that MJ will continue to work for both of us (and everyone else on this thread!!). And that you conceive in future with no
problems. The things we go through to have children! 12 pound is an amazing loss, congrats. Round where I live, slimming world is a bit of a cult, so I avoid. Think I’d find it a bit overwhelming balancing both but it’s clearly working for you!

I did this yesterday. You go to ‘my account’ then ‘order history’, click reorder on the first one of 2.5mg and then it does take you to the page with the questions but a lot of them are pre-filled for you to just check. You only have to change the dose to 5mg, your current weight and recomplete the most important questions (the ones about serious contraindications). It’s really quick. No additional photos. It says it has to go for approval as it’s a step up. Mine was approved within the hour.

I don’t need mine for almost 3 weeks, but it says on there delivery delay of up to 14 days which is why I did it so early. I’ve already had a Royal Mail alert it’s arriving this morning!

AdotHam · 01/05/2025 07:02

Good morning everyone! I have had almost panic attack symptoms of racing heart and insomnia the last couple of nights. I’m W2 D4 and been pretty lucky with SE up till now but this was a bit scary.
I’ve had health anxiety for years so not sure if my silly old brain is contributing and making things worse but definitely can’t keep going if this is going to be a long term effect… I’m so tired 😪

Doidontimmm · 01/05/2025 07:12

I feel old lol! My kids are early 20s!!

Squiffy01 · 01/05/2025 07:21

Weigh in and jab day for me today.

week 1: didn’t weigh (on holiday)
week 2: loss 11.9lbs
week 3: didn’t weigh (still on holiday)
week 4: loss 4.4lbs

On one hand I’m very happy with that as for the first three weeks I was on holiday. I have never not gained weight on a holiday. Just stuff my face with everything I have been missing from home so that is obviously foods. But I am a bit disappointed with 4.4lbs over two weeks of it continues as 1.2lb a week that will be slowwww going.

Due to have my last dose out of my first pen. So last 5mg I’m a bit confused for the golden dose. Are people taking that as an extra week so I would take it next Thursday or are they taking it as a bigger dose for last jab so I should draw it out and take it for today?

Newmum110 · 01/05/2025 07:23

I'm absolutely delighted to be down 4lbs today
Wk 1 (2.5) -6
Wk 2 (2.5) -2.5
Wk 3 (2.5) -4

I have moved up to 5mg as of last night, used my normal Wk4 dose & topped up with extra from the golden dose, no issues doing the golden dose.

Had a terrible night's sleep last night but not sure if that was from the MJ or because I was waiting on important news this morning. Feeling a little bit shaky this morning so will see how the SEs go.

For me MJ is hopefully life changing but it isn't magic, I'm putting in a lot of effort with exercise etc but it definitely is a big big help. Very expensive (in Ireland) but I'm hoping I'll retrain myself & eventually come off it. Probably saving a fortune not buying junk or food everytime I leave my house.......

Squiffy01 · 01/05/2025 07:26

My little one is 6.5 ( the half very important to him 🤣).
I never wanted only one but it is looking like that will be the case after having no luck trying to conceive for a few years. I did have cancer and chemo 5 years ago so not sure if that has played a part or not.
I was JuST in the healthy weight range when I conceived and didn’t gain a huge amount when pregnant but gained it all after and living off sugar to try and stay awake in those first few months.
Then I gained even more having to go on a beige diet with cancer diagnosis and with the chemo/steroids.
no excuse after that I’ve just been stuffing my face and getting bigger and bigger 🤦🏻‍♀️
my meals are mainly healthy as we eat with LO it’s just the snacking while he is at school and I’m the evening but MJ has wiped that out completely so that a positive.

TC4 · 01/05/2025 07:47

We definitely have a mixture of aged children don’t we!! I hardly gained anything in my pregnancy probably because I was sick every day, i definitely didn’t have HG but was sick once every day for the entire time!! But I just yo yo’d so much after and BF for over 3 years didn’t help the weight like it does for some and I gradually just got bigger and bigger until suddenly it hit home that I ached and couldn’t move around as easily as I should be able to so that’s when I decided I needed to do something properly and effectively so here we are!! And we are also just under 2 weeks away from a holiday to Las Vegas so definitely needed to be done now!! Official weigh day is tomorrow but so far the higher dose seems to be working well and I’m seeing brand new numbers on that scale and heading back to pregnancy weight and hopefully well below that over time as well

Thank you! That's the process I was doing but wasn't sure if there was another way as I'm a subscriber anyway. Will order today.

Hi everyone.

Wk 4 D6
SW 13st 7lb
CW 12st 8lb

GW 9st 13 lb

total lost 13 lb

so tomorrow is jab day for me. I’m taking my bonus dose and then picking up another 2.5 mg pen from Asda. I’ve actually been worried by how rapid my weight loss has been - but I see a lot of people posting similar or larger losses for this time period too so I guess it’s ok. Hoping it will slow down to 2lb a week from here on as I don’t want to lose hair. My suppression is still strong - I’ve had a few more snacky feelings and I’m hoping I might be able to manage my Thursday night beer tonight but I don’t think going up to 5mg would be a good idea when I’m losing at this rate. Hopefully it won’t wane halfway though this pen!

loving hearing about everyone else’s kids. I’ve got four - 15, 13, 6 and 3. It’s a busy house!!

must head off to work now - not looking forward to my uphill cycle - it’s already hot outside!!

QS90 · 01/05/2025 08:37

Hello!

Good to hear about the losses. I have also lost around 3kg in the past two weeks. Bit faster than I anticipated. Have gone ahead and ordered a 5mg pen but may take 2.5mg doses from it for the first few weeks if I find I'm still doing well on 2.5. I deliberated between which pen to order and decided to move up to give myself some options.

So after a few days of battling the bastarding cold from hell I felt well enough this morning to take my 3rd dose bang on schedule.
But I think I fudged it slightly as a large amount was on my belly when I pulled the needle out?
Slightly annoyed with self.
