New thread for all of us.

Thank you for allowing me to rant, share our ups and downs. Our group blows my mind of how we are so supportive of each other.

Give hubby a jab and he might change his mind 🤣

Hope all goes well with your procedure tomorrow! Have you got a little reward for after?

TheSpoonyNavyReader · 23/04/2025 22:14

@CallMeStella I hope the procedure goes well tomorrow.

I braved a 5 this week after 3.75 last week. So far the only SE is bouts of tiredness - so relieved. Hoping to stay on this dose for a while

That’s good to hear! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I might do the 5mg next week but I’ll see how this week goes first. I’m sure there was a small group of us increasing this week but I can’t remember who

Bipaloss · 23/04/2025 22:28

I’m on my third week of 5mg and no SE on 5MG other than a bit of cold hands and feet’s first couple of weeks and a bit of enxiety few hours after jab all is going well

i delayed my jab a day and suppression is a bit odd this week Tuesday less suppression able to eat a bit more not as thirsty etc today is a mixed bag sort of hungry (or my brain is) but as soon as I eat it something I’m super full, completely different to the last two weeks where my brain was full but could sort of eat. Maybe I’m out of sync due the delay I don’t know

decided today to order a 7.5 pen as I’m switching provider and if I don’t feel I need it when due in 11 days time il reduce the clicks and make the jab last longer instead (don’t feel I need it at the moment)

if anyone need a ZAVA code for 25% please let me know (I get the same if used)

Namerequired · 23/04/2025 22:37

Hi all. I’m on my first week for 5mg. Didn’t have any effects on the 2.5mg, good or bad (other than feeling cold), so hoping the 5 helps. Injected Monday evening and the sulphur burps started last night and have continued. Is there anything that gets rid of them or do they go away? They really are bad.

Lolliz87 · 23/04/2025 23:27

CallMeStella · 23/04/2025 20:57

Hi loves

Just checking in, D3 of 0.9ml of the 2.5mg dose and the past two days have been a struggle. Headache and nausea yesterday and today fatigue and nausea so I had to call in sick to sleep.

I take the same as another poster for nausea which helps and I’ve been using it to make sure I’m eating something regularly. Otherwise I’ll have a ginger drink which helps.

I can’t wait for bedtime, hoping I feel better tomorrow as I have a hospital appointment to have a camera up my pee hole which I’m not looking forward to 🤣

Thinking of moving my jab day back slowly so the side effects peak over the weekends

Oodie, slippers and heating is on!🥶🤣

Hope the appt goes well x

I'm using a combo of small portions, peppermint oil capsules, root ginger tablets and Gaviscon tablets.

I’m so so unwell! I don’t know if it’s something I ate as in food poisoning or if my stomach has just rejected the food due to MJ but have been up for hours this evening but with bad D&V. The V has gone off now but my stomach is still cramping 😭😭😭. This week was going so well too!

Paulahoust · 24/04/2025 07:14

Weigh in day and lost 1.5lb

SW 13st 4lb
CW 12st 5lb
GW 10st 6lb

I hope it's a bug and not MJ, and hope you feel better this morning 💜

IngoGreen · 24/04/2025 08:00

@CallMeStella anything like that and I’d be feeling rubbish before I even got there with anxiety, MJ or not, hope it’s ok. @Lolliz87 that sounds like a crap night, no pun intended, hope it eases today

I found changing my diet helped including no eggs and dairy. Basically I became the blandest eater in the world

So sorry to gear. Im just (fingers crossed) coming out the other side. I've been on the dehydration sachets and electrolyte drinks like crazy. What dosage are you on?

Flamethrowers · 24/04/2025 08:39

I've had a grim week. Had what I thought was mild food poisoning last Wednesday followed by days of explosive watery poo. No nausea or stomach paij but very weak. Triggered by anything especially dairy. I think it was mid food poisoning and then post infection distress all consolidated by the Mounjaro. I've been fine for 48 hours but I've only had two bits of bread a chicken sandwich (with literally nothing but chicken) and a bowl of rice and a banana smoothie. Weightbkoos has now stalled for nearly two weeks at 68kg besides exercise and low calorie intake. I'll give it a few days and fingers crossed I'll whoosh.

Beinthepresent · 24/04/2025 08:52

Morning, my end of week 5 weigh in, stayed on 2.5 and lost 1.1 kilos. Really pleased with that as my scales had gone up earlier in the week and I had terrible reflux and feeling full. For anyone else with this might be worth stopping any supplements to see if it helps as I realized when the reflux started I had just started biotin that day, didn't take it yesterday or this morning and I feel so much better I'm pretty sure it was the biotin.
Total loss of 6.6 kilos/14.5lbs.

I upped to 5 on Monday after being largely trouble free on 2.5. It's been a bit rough since Tuesday night TBH. Major sulphur burps and D without the V but definite nausea. I took immodium yesterday morning and things seemed to be improving. I even survived a trip to Ikea 😜but last night I was up and down too, so took another immodium. Feel exhausted this morning and not like eating at all.

I don't have any work this week - I'm freelance - but it would be a real problem if I was like this when I did as I can't really call in sick (joys of self-employment) and my work is very interactive and not desk-based. Wondering if I should use clicks and reduce my dose on Monday.

@Namerequired I would love to know if anything can calm the sodding burps down too. 😖I really don't like peppermint tea or gingery drinks.

TheBossOfMe · 24/04/2025 09:17

Lovely people who are struggling with difficult side effects, I read something on another earlier starter thread by people being really helped by taking a daily probiotic tablet. I take one anyway (I rattle with supplements!) so no idea if it helps with SEs but thought I'd mention since a few of you seem to be struggling.

Long day at the office followed by fish and chips with the team at 10pm. I barely ate half the fish and just a small handful of chips, but I felt super full last night because it was all still sitting in my stomach by the time I went to bed. And annoyingly but unsurprisingly scales bounced up again today. To be expected, but I didn't even enjoy the food so pissed off that I sacrificed the calories on something so crap!

Furryfeline · 24/04/2025 09:38

Hope you're feeling ok @Lolliz87 , I brought my jab day forward to yesterday as I had stayed on 2.5 for another 2 weeks and suddenly it wasn't working, was hungry and irritable wanting to snack and actually feeling like I could. Upped to 3 .75 and feeling suppression today no se so far, although I'm not only stalling but the scales have gone up , despite being really careful even over Easter😠 I know it's part and parcel and I'll have a metabolic adjustment and they'll start to go down again but FFS it's really disheartening when they go up. The automatic response for me is to cut back more but I know a refeed is the best way to reset. Whoever said mounjaro was a quick fix eh? Still a bumpy ride.

Oof, I can just imagine how eating late would go down, as it were, on MJ. How frustrating about the gain as well.

I've jumped down to 16st 4.75lbs as of this morning (from 16/7 on Tuesday morning) which is too fast and I'm sure it'll go back up once these SE recede. But technically I've lost a stone as of now.

Just managed some rye sourdough toast with marmite, PB and honey and things seem calmer....

TheBossOfMe · 24/04/2025 09:51

@GiveMeWordGames It was more that it didn't go down! I still feel ridiculously full this morning, forcing myself to drink water!

However all of the lessons being learnt on this journey are lessons that are registering in my head and hopefully changing my eating habits long term. Before injury I would have thought nothing at all about having dinner, and then some buttery toast about 30 mins before bedtime - because I could. I can't now, and even once I hit goal weight I won't be able to afford the calories I used to consume just because I won't ever be able to run for those kind of distances or frequency again, and that's always been the weight burner for me. So it's about changing habits, not just relying on appetite suppression.

So the odd evening that teaches me a lesson is maybe a good one!

GiveMeWordGames · 24/04/2025 10:04

@TheBossOfMe I really admire your positive way of thinking about all this.

Thanks for the tip about probiotics, BTW I meant to say. I also rattle with supplements so one more won't hurt. 😁
