Another one who's been MIA!

Went on holiday over Easter and indulged in a few treats 😋

Anyhow weighed last week and another 6lbs off. So 26lbs since mid Jan, slow and steady but happy with that! Still on 3.75mg with good suppression and minimal side effects

Others are starting to notice a difference which is nice, even tho I still have a looooong way to go

Still reading along even tho not posting often, you're all inspirational 👏

QueenOfHiraeth · 02/05/2025 20:10

I need to get new bras too. I've been buying the T-shirt bras from Asda and have reduced by guessworkfrom a 42E to a 38DD but I'm sure it's not right and I think I'll be rolling them up before tucking them in soon. I'm not sure I'm ready to face the horror of a dangling measurement yet though.
Went shopping today and bought myself some white jeans - feeling very glam!

Thank you! This why I shouldn't be trying to do things in the middle of the night- I'll arrange for a day there should be someone in but hope they've just been unclear. I do have that code thanks - I just miss the Facebook ones I think.

i was also confused by the RM shipping being cheap!

Oushk have just said on their Facebook the £2.99 price for postage was wrong and fixed it, but anyone who ordered with the cheaper price will get it. Not sure if the recorded delivery option is back or not.

QueenOfHiraeth · 02/05/2025 23:53

@WeAllHaveWings Has the FB group changed? I was in one that was adminned by Oushk for any MJ users but it has suddenly vanished from my groups and the only one I can see now is for Oushk customers only. I don't know if I missed a change of some sort?

Woohoo bargain!
so pleased I just got on with it & ordered rather than faff about like I usually do

The group was closed down by Facebook after someone reported a post from last year with prices on it which meant they were promoting POM. They have had a few, what they called, “attacks” to get the group closed down and anon posters bragging on Reddit they were winding up the “Oushkers” 🤦🏻‍♀️ so have reopened a new one for customers only. So less entertaining and lots of vomit inducing I ❤️ Oushk/Hira cult now, they are all so pleased the riff raff have been ejected 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

Well, I weighed myself this morning and have stayed the same for a second week. Feel surprisingly upset by that.

Took my last 2.5mg last night and wish I’d gone up to 5mg sooner. I started my journey on the 14th March and since then have lost 14lbs so this stall is very frustrating. I have such a long way to go and at the moment it feels like I won’t get there 😞.

InfoSecInTheCity · 03/05/2025 08:11

@RainbowConnection1you won’t lose every week, it will be up and down and it will take time.

What does your daily diet, exercise and water intake look like? If you lay it out for us we might be able to spot some easy changes you could make that would be likely to help.

MooBaggage · 03/05/2025 08:41

@RainbowConnection1 I'm sorry - it's so frustrating when this happens.

But you definitely will get there - it's just settling down a bit - you've lost a stone in 6 weeks which is brilliant.

I've always said that this is more of a psychological battle than physical - for me anyway. Accepting it will be OK, it will come off, but will take it's own sweet time and our job is to keep going and keep an eye on what we're eating and drinking.

I like what @InfoSecInTheCity often advises on these threads - have a re-set in terms of the basics. Up the water, review your food - increase protein, decrease carbs and up the exercise.

My top tip is don't weigh daily/weekly! Weigh randomly - leave it for a couple of weeks and try not to think about it (so much easier said than done!). Take the pressure off the scales. But I know others feel like daily/weekly weigh ins keep them on track - so whatever works...!

Keep going - it's a tiny part of the rest of your life and weight loss - keep telling yourself things are different now - you're totally going to get there! 😊

Meanwhile, I need to give myself some motivational words!

I went out last night with friends, for the first time in months and had 5 x gins (2 x doubles, 1 x single). This was hardly anything for the pre-MJ me - wouldn't have touched the sides - but I feel really guilty... 🙄

Am trying to tell myself it was in the context of a lovely night out and not to stress about it - and I have no desire to drink today, for example, but just feel daft that I didn't replace one of them with a soft drink - didn't even occur to me!

So am not bothered about slipping back into drinking lots, because that desire has still gone, thankfully - just cross about the calories!!

Lots of water today 🙄😬

InfoSecInTheCity · 03/05/2025 09:42

Don’t beat ourself up about a few drinks as an occasional event @MooBaggageyou’re allowed to go off plan sometimes and just let loose, as long as you don’t start doing it every night it’s fine. Make sure you get plenty of water and low salt foods this weekend because the booze will cause retention and dehydration. If I remember my Weight Watchers days correctly clear spirits were zero points, I used to get trollied on vodka and Diet Coke or vermouth and diet lemonade for a zero point night out 😂 Never worked well when the drunk me would stop for cheesy chips and mayo to soak it up in the way home!

Morning everyone, weigh day for me!

Today is a great day, I have lost 2.2lbs!! Tbis means I AM IN ONDERLAND!!! I now weigh 14st 3.4lbs!!! So, just sliding in at 199.4lbs but good enough for me 🤪

I am also very close to getting my BMI under 35 - class 1 obese! I have 3 weeks for my next target of getting to under 14st, so fingers crossed I get it done.

Some things of note this week:

  • the heat has been so easy to manage with less weight, barely any sweating for me!!
  • sizing of clothes remains wildly inconsistent and mildly infuriating. I am still an 18 mostly for trousers, 16 where less structured and more forgiving, but tops are just all over the place, i think my shoulder area needs a 14, but the rest of me is not there yet!!
  • summer sandals from last year are too big!! I am still wide footed but my feet are definitely smaller, so thats more new things to buy.

I’d mentioned suppression had been a bit iffier last week, this week its back to normal, which I am glad for. But it does mean I have a new challenge to navigate, as this bank holiday I have an event to go to, with food. Mondays are usually really difficult as I am suppressed from a sunday jab. I’m thinking I may jab tonight instead, as I had already wanted to move to a saturday later this month for my trip. Hoping it doesnt mean a risk of increased nausea due to more medicine in my system?

SpunkyKhakiScroller · 03/05/2025 12:24

I chose to take a second 2.5mg pen because it worked so well and unfortunately it has had minimal effect after the first week or the secobd pen. Also, the first week of my 5mg pen will be when I am about to go on holiday so I am concerned about increased side effects. I have had minimal side effects on 2.5mg.

Wk3 of my second 2.5mg pen will be tomorrow. So my plan is to inject 3.75 tomorrow from my 2.5mg pen. I have ordered my 5mg pen a week early so it should be here in time for me to inject 3.75 from it next Sunday.

I am a rule follower so I haven't been using golden doses and I have accepted I will lose some from the 2.5mg pen as well but I wanted to check with the hive mind that it's ok to do what I have planned?

MooBaggage · 03/05/2025 13:02

@Darlinghag CONGRATULATIONS!!!! That's incredible! Am so pleased for you 😍

Hope you're going to celebrate getting to Onederland - very well deserved!

Well done @Darlinghag 🤩 I'll meet you at the 'Onerland ferris wheel and we can have a spin together!🎡🎢🛝

Mounjaro scales targets 🎯mega hat trick all happening today for me - entering 'Onderland, reaching 100lbs total loss, 1/3 body weight lost, BMI < 30 and no longer obese, "just" overweight now. 😁

End of week - 45 (5 x 2.5mg, 40 x 3.75mg)
SW - 21st 5lbs BMI 44.8
CW - 14st 03lbs BMI 29.8
Losses (2024) - 10,2,2,4,1,3,3,3,1,3,2,2,3,3,2,3,3,2,1,4,0,2,3,3,1,4,0
Losses (2025) - 0,3,2,1,3,1,1,0,2,3,3,-1,3,2,2,1,2,2
Total loss - 7st 02lbs (100lbs), 33.4%
Next Target 🎯- 13st

Add to that the NSV's of stopping blood pressure medication and being able to do up the size 16 jeans without lying down this week. I've been out in them once and got a nice unsolicited compliment from my SIL, but they were a bit tight so straight back into comfy 18's when I got home 🤣

It taken a long time to get here. Not just 45 weeks of Mounjaro which have felt short, but, 20+ years of failed diets. 🥲 Can't believe my next target is 13st which will take me to a BMI of 27.3 and, with your guys support 💗, it feels achievable!

Darlinghag · 03/05/2025 18:37

Thank you @MooBaggage ! Business as usual here, although i’m still buying holiday clothes and had to pack some back to ight as the 18s are too big on some!!

and @WeAllHaveWings thank you and congrats!!!! How exciting!!! So many targets met!

i’ve been umming and aahing about jabbing tonight all day, and then realised next saturday i have plans with alcohol so deffo dont want to jab then either. Uch. I never normally ever have issues with the schedule and all of a sudden its a problem 😂😂

CanIGoHomeNowPlease · 03/05/2025 19:22

I messed up yesterday and didn’t eat properly all day so was lightheaded and really hungry by dinner time. I was all by myself last night so treated myself to a Thai takeaway. I went over my calories but I enjoyed it.

Back on it today and did a 2 mile dog walk early this morning and then did my first open water swim of this year!

30 mins in the water and just over 750m. Properly pottered but got in without a wetsuit. It was fresh but really lovely.

In case anyone was wondering the M&S high protein Bang Bang chicken is really nice, but the Bang Bang cauliflower is quite possibly the worst creation known to man.

Thank you so much for your wise words. It is most definitely a psychological battle more than anything else! I may well stop weighing weekly too, it’s really not helping.

I had that the other day, I concur... properly horrible!! 😂

QueenOfHiraeth · 03/05/2025 20:27

@RainbowConnection1 I was getting hung up on the scales so I now weigh randomly. It seems odd but if my brain cannot think it's a week or a fortnight, etc. it doesn't seem to bother me as much so I might weigh after 4 days, 10 days, 6 days, etc and that works for me.
My other strategy is to weigh in kg. Maybe it's my age but kg are just numbers for me where stones or pounds carry a lot of judgement.

I do, however, measure myself on the first of each month (and, yes, I use cm instead of inches for the same reason as above). That can be really useful because I do sometimes lose size rather than weight. Over the last 4 weeks I have only lost 1kg but I have lost 1cm bust, 2cm waist, 2cm hips and 1cm thigh in that time, so am quite ok with that. In the olden days I wouldn't have measured and would have been in a tailspin at "only" losing half a pound a week!

@MooBaggage is right that this is a real inner battle at times!

Zebracat · 03/05/2025 21:56

Wk2 day 1 for me. I lost 2.5 kgs in my first week. This is particularly extraordinary because I spent 2 nights in a hotel with a friend, lots of gin, a 3 course meal , afternoon tea and full English breakfasts. I was really careful though, despite my skinny friend attempting sabotage ( why?). She gained a kilo hah!
I actually feel better on Mounjaro. Im even tempered, sleeping well, regular bowels, good skin.I wonder If I had tipped from prediabetes into diabetes?
starting weight 105.9.
current weight 103.3.
First target is under 100 kilos.

eleanorwish · 04/05/2025 06:38

Week 12 Day 2 for me. I’m mow in the 13’s! I can’t remember the last time I was under 14st, probably just after I had my DS 18 years ago.
SW 15st 3lbs
CW 13st 12.5 lbs

one interesting fact I found was that for every pound of weight loss, you reduce the pressure on your knees by 4lbs, which for me is a big incentive to keep going!

InfoSecInTheCity · 04/05/2025 07:56

Well done on the scale and non-scale victories ladies, and for those feeling frustrated by a stall just remember it will end and often stuff is happening that isn’t reflected on the scales so take a look back through the pictures you’ve been submitting to the pharmacy take your measurements or try on an old pair of trousers and see if that gives a different side to the story.

i spent a few frustrating hours trying on sports bras in various shops yesterday and finding that the selection of sizes was so bloody rubbish that every time I found a style that nearly worked they didn’t have it in the size I needed. I seem to be about a 36D now with the obvious variations for manufacturer and whimsy because god forbid they should be consistently sized 🤬 I have one I’m going to order on the M&S website once they figure out their cyber attack issue and in the meantime I’ll just keep going with what I have and accept the risk of black eyes from flailing knockers.

velvetseven · 04/05/2025 10:00

Hello all!
I’m now less than a stone away from my goal of healthy weight bmi. I don’t know if I’ll aim to lose more or stay there, let’s see.
i’ve gone up to 10mg, first dose today. Like someone upthread I’m having larger portions and am eating with both definitions of relish. It’s a far cry from when I started and felt overfaced by a yogurt.
but even so I’m feeling relaxed and confident I’ll get there, am enjoying not carrying the extra weight around with me, and looking forward to summer instead of dreading it.
