Sorry you had a rough day @potato1234 Well done you, for recognising it, and doing something positive for yourself. Now you know you can say no, it will be easier next time too I imagine, same as anything else x

@fox919 this was me today! I’m W2 D5 and felt really lightheaded all day. Eating helped a little, but didn’t solve the issue completely. I’m wondering if I’m a bit dehydrated. Will get a good sleep and see how I’m doing tomorrow!

@GreenSalon2 I am also with Superdrug and about to reorder. Can't believe I have to go through it all again. So am also looking at changing supplier

I’ve ended up ordering with MedExpress. Superdrug’s platform was way too laborious.

Was quite straightforward it seems and looks like order was approved. I did need to upload photo but just used the one I took for Superdrug as that was within the 30 day limit.

StrikeForever · 21/04/2025 11:43

I use Med Express, as do several friends. It’s been straightforward and easy, with fast delivery for all of us. I have a code that will give you £40 off your first order. Feel free to message me if you would like it.

I ordered with them today thank you (and used a code supplied by a friend, sorry!).

muser123 · 21/04/2025 23:43

Placemarking as I hope to start tomorrow! Will add my SW and other details too

How do people break the pen to get the '5th dose' out? I dont fancy trying to buy and use separate syringes and thought if it was fairly easy to use the existing one would try that but not sure if its possible? I have perhaps foolishly bought another 2.5 pen and am now wishing I had got the 5- I just got scared and bottled out..

People say to twist really hard, I’ve heard people using pliers to hold it in place and then unscrewing that way

GRCP · 22/04/2025 06:26

2nd dose this evening - nervous that SE will hit again.

SW - 11st 12lbs
CW - 11st 8lbs
GW - 9st 12lbs

4lbs down - not bad.

Mounraine · 22/04/2025 07:03

@GRCP I felt nervous after my first experience. After consulting with my supplier I dropped to 1mg for jab 2. Jab 3 (5days later) last night was 1.25mg. Next jab I’ll go to 1.75mg. Then a 2.5mg pen. I’m not sure how effective this is but wanted to try building my confidence before quitting completely.

I took my bonus dose yesterday. Used a syringe, which already had a "microfine" needle built in. Got it on Amazon, the syringes work out less than £1 each. I put the needle through the red, rubber stopped on the MJ pen. I'd heard there can be a vacuum effect in the pen, which makes extraction hard. I pulled the syringe back a bit (do there was air at the top), to counteract this, but not sure it was needed. Was a doddle to get out, if a bit slow (took about 3 minutes for the liquid to flow in). Obviously got rid of air in syringe before injecting. Honestly, the process was really easy. No ill effects this morning, just the desired appetite suppression.

First period on MJ, I’ve read that some have had rough experiences and can vouch for that.
Im always heavy the first few days but can normally go about my day fine, yesterday I was on the floor with tiredness, really cranky and irritable, really struggled to get up this morning too!

Icebreakhell · 22/04/2025 07:57

I’m a few days into week 2 of 2.5mg. Haven’t felt nauseous this time, also the indigestion has settled. Only having bowels open every few days but not sure if this is just the consequences of eating less. Went to cinema last night, DH had the usual nachos and dips and I sat there with a small pouch of nuts and dried fruit, not at all bothered! 3 kg down so far.

I got mine this morning, first one since giving birth too 😐 maybe explains my emotional breakdown yesterday 😆

That’s a shame - I got mine during my first week and it was lighter than my usual perimenopausal blood bath! It did last longer though.

Tocktik · 22/04/2025 08:20

Ive not had many other SEs so if this is the worst of it then I can cope with that!

Hello :)

SW- 16st1
CW- 15st8

wk1- 5 pounds
wk2 - 2 pounds

When do people move from 2.5mg to 5mg? I am unsure what to do as ideally would like to see what next week weigh in does before deciding but with oushk I think I need to order around about now to make sure it arrives in time (had 3rd dose yesterday). Also does anyone buy a 5mg pen and do smaller doses from that? Sorry if that’s a stupid question.

@Ethela thanks for the grubby recommendation. I am vegan and have never heard of that company but will try that out after we use up all our plant hood ones :)

fox919 · 22/04/2025 09:26

Period just started for me also, curious to see what effect that has on the scales as I usually find I have a little weight increase just before my period and drop again towards the end. Slept better last night at least (had a couple of nights waking really early and struggling to get back to sleep).

yesterday was the first day where I felt like I had no food noise at all. It was the weirdest thing in that it felt ‘normal’ almost? I’m not sure how to explain it. I have food noise every single day and it was gone and it just seemed like that was a normal thing. It was only when I was thinking about it in the evening that I really thought about how different it was to every other day of my life in that particular area, but while experiencing the day I just didn’t even realise it wasn’t there.

I’m also on WK3 and wasn’t sure if I will want to move up to 5 for my next pen.
I ordered the 5 anyway as it was the same price as 2.5 but I will see how I am doing.
Hoping to get the bonus dose out of current pen. Then if I’m still doing ok I will stay on 2.5 and just give myself a half dose of the 5.
But at least I know if I need more I can up it & will probably start with 3.75.

ymemanresu · 22/04/2025 10:53

W1D3, eurghh i’m one of the unlucky ones. 2.5 is way too strong for me. Forcing myself to eat anything .

Heart racing, trembling and panic attack last night. Didn’t sleep at all. Phoned my Dr for urgent appointment this afternoon to get low dose diazepam.
Yes i have been on antidepressants for a long time and suffered from panic attacks in the past. Dragged myself into work on the train as i wasn’t fit to drive.
it’s going to be a least 10 days before it’s out of my system. Any advice 😢?

Samilaa99 · 21/04/2025 18:06

Oh no,Hope it eases off

Thanks feeling better today

Crikeyalmighty · 22/04/2025 10:55

@ymemanresu I was the same but with nausea and acid reflux - I switched to1.25 twice a week - this was better

IndigoSkye · 22/04/2025 10:59

MsJJones · 21/04/2025 18:40

Hope your day hasn’t been too bad. I had an awful first week especially on days 3-4 but it settled again and my week 2 is going much better - just a slightly unsettled tummy and some burps - if that gives you hope!

Peppermint tea and sticking to plain foods in small quantities has been the best thing for me, although I still had a few Easter treats.

Thanks, ooh, peppermint tea is a good shout I like that! I am feeling better this morning but not 100%. I took this week as I thought I might feel rough! Going it settles down.

Crikeyalmighty · 22/04/2025 11:21

@IndigoSkye peppermint tea is my go to for nausea and to be fair I feel pretty nauseous on this stuff even at very low doses 70% of the time so have drunk a lot of peppermint tea!!

alsohappenedoverhere · 22/04/2025 12:03

I have just done my third jab, have some suppression I think. No significant side effects and I have managed to avoid chocolate over the long weekend entirely!! Not sure how much I have lost, definitely feel less bloated - weighed myself for the first time this morning and I was 260lb which is the heaviest I have ever weighed (although I guess I must have been heavier 3 weeks ago). I want to get down to 140lb so have a long way to go. Think I need to meal plan a bit as I never know what to eat - am avoiding sugar, upf and bread/pasta/rice. I have Pcos although am probably also peri. Have spent much of my life thinking there is something wrong with my thyroid, although it is always within the upper limit of range. Was thin in my 20’s mainly through not eating very much, have never got back to my pre pregnancy weight but was only slightly overweight. I have gained all of the weight now in the last 4 years not helped by eating a massive bar of chocolate every night for the past year. I have to do this now as feel fat and invisible and I think it is holding me back socially (I never want to go anywhere) and professionally (I don’t really want to be seen).

SugaCane · 22/04/2025 12:22

Samilaa99 · 21/04/2025 17:46

Please let me know how you get on. This past year I've tried so many "diets" starting the milkshake replacement tmw 🤦‍♀️

I will!

I’ve just got the notification that it’ll arrive today - eek!! 😅
