Ordered my second pen from Medexpress - stupidly did it on a bank holiday weekend so hoping it arrives before next Friday. For anyone who has blue light, the discount worked out cheaper for me than the £40 off 😊

Yes it’s a 30% discount on the first order, but those codes can’t be shared.

StrikeForever · 20/04/2025 16:36

iamsoshocked · 20/04/2025 12:10

Please can someone use my MedExpress discount code!!!
PM me.

Me too 😂🤣 there are just too many around!

I'm taking my 4th injection today & have lost 7lbs so far & 2 inches off my waist (the only place I measured).

I was hoping to have lost a bit more weight but my mind feels so clear & free that I'm still very happy.

I've received my 5mg pen & will be starting that next week.

I felt nauseous once at the very beginning but no horrible side effects since.

Edited

That’s brilliant. I will be delighted if I have half a stone in 3 weeks 🎊🎉

ymemanresu · 20/04/2025 16:13

Do you all keep it in the fridge after you have used the first dose? My instructions say room temperature is fine but i’ve read keeping it cooler increases it efficiency?

That’s interesting. I’ve been keeping mine in the fridge. Although I know it’s not necessary.

TC4 · 20/04/2025 16:56

So roast dinner all done, I had more veg than other bits had 2 roast potatoes but could only manage one - that’s unheard of 😂😂 - I had such a small portion compared to usual and I couldn’t eat it all and had no desire to even try!!

I am hoping to have a bit of Easter egg later as you can’t beat Easter egg chocolate but I just can’t even face anything right now!!

ymemanresu · 20/04/2025 17:28

TheNinthLock · 20/04/2025 15:17

Well done! You've got this xx

Thanks, this was a massive deal for me even though the needle was tiny.

Potato1234 · 20/04/2025 17:41

Fatmumslim01 · 20/04/2025 15:49

@Potato1234 how do you get the blue light discount please? And how much is it please you say it's better than the £40 off?

Edited

Just go on your blue light account. It’s 30% off so for a £150 pen, you get £45 off, or maybe save it for a more expensive dosage later down the line. First time orders I think though

cherrymaoam · 20/04/2025 18:07

I’m on W1D4 and today is the first day I’ve eaten over 1,000 calories. I’m nearer 1,500 today I think. That’s definitely the least I have eaten on an Easter Sunday ever!

My top tip for anyone experiencing constipation is to try prune juice. This was my failsafe pregnancy/post partum cure for being bunged up and it’s working for me post Mounjaro too! Thank goodness as I was starting to feel a bit frustrated.

How much prune juice? I’ve tried senokot, 3 litres of water plus coconut water and still pretty bunged up. It’s a bit frustrating especially once the constipation belly ache starts

Summerbay23 · 20/04/2025 18:26

Just taken jab 2

SW 16st 9lb
CW 16st 6lb (taken on Friday as I’ve been away from home since then so tricky to weigh).
Loss 3lb (in not a full week but don’t want to do a proper weigh in again until next Sunday/Monday.)

GieYerselPeace · 20/04/2025 18:56

SW 16st 6lb
CW 15st 11lb
TW 13st 7lb (for now)

Im week 4. Took 3.85mg 2.5mg + bonus dose. Leaves me with 0.3ml left but think that will have to get binned. 5mg pen arrives this week. Hoping the 3.85mg dose will mean the 5mg doesn't feel too much of a shock with side effects.

9lb loss over 3 weeks not as much as some, but I'm delighted to see 15 on the scales!

SausageRoll90 · 20/04/2025 18:58

Hi guys lovely to see some weight losses and some new joiners! Welcome!
Also Happy Easter!!! 🐣

W2D2 for me and while the lack of hunger isn't as much this 2nd jab, feeling full quicker and staying full for longer is definitely there. The food noise is definitely diminished tho so it makes it so much easier to manage everything when you don't really fancy anything lol.

I'm glad people enjoyed their roasts today. I definitely did and while I had a reasonable portion it was much less than usual. I had 1 profiterole for dessert as that was all I fancied and Ive not eaten any chocolate 😲Unheard of for me haha I'm a big chocolate lover usually.

I've tired to track my calories and it's definitely a higher calorie meal but I have no issues with this. I enjoyed every mouthful 🩷

Scousebloke · 20/04/2025 19:25

Hi all. Been reading this thread as i plan to start on moujaro very soon. Ive asked my gp as i have type 2 diabetes but i dont think i will get on NHS as my bmi is around 34 and needs to be 35+ i think. Anyway, if i can not get via NHS does anyone know of people being rejected by inline pharmacies and if so what for ?
Thanks in advance

Strange that senokot hasn’t worked, that’s usually brutal for me and has me running for the loo 8 hours later. Have you tried the max strength one? Or the liquid one? I’m taking lactulose which is a stool softener as opposed to laxative. Definitely not as regular but it’s not as painful… if it gets really bad I would contact your pharmacy or GP as they could recommend/prescribe you something

Im getting anxious about having given myself more than the final 2.5mg dose. I take it I can't do any harm? I used insulin needle to extract the remaining medication.

i wouldn’t panic, as there are higher doses available and people are using 3.75mg a lot. It’s just how your body will react as in any side effects. Obviously this isn’t suggested by the prescribing doctors as we are supposed to complete the 4 x 2.5mg but if you make your own informed decision to move up earlier then that’s ok for you.

GieYerselPeace · 20/04/2025 20:06

You're right. Thank you for the reassurance. Eek next time I'll just stick to prescribed dose and keep anxiety at bay.

SugaCane · 20/04/2025 20:47

Tocktik · 20/04/2025 09:47

The needle is really small, it hurts more to pluck my eyebrows than do the jab.
I think my stomach cushion helps a lot 😅

My sister is on it and she’s been trying to calm me about the needle size and said, just like you have, that it’s a tiny one. I think I just have to give the first one a go.

I’m just imagining myself sweating and holding it over myself for ages, stopping and starting to put the needle in and breathing heavily 😂

I’ve just been accepted onto SheMed so will be starting this week too! So glad I found this thread, I agree it is really inspiring and reassuring.
unfortunately my brain has told me to binge eat all the things I won’t be able to enjoy after the injections start 😩

Yes!! 😂Me too!
I do enjoy the taste of food - of course, it’s why I’m here! But I’ve been thinking about all the things that I won’t probably have the taste for anymore and using Easter as an excuse to eat all the yummy things that I usually do but without the guilt. Probably not the best way to approach this but we all have our own journey…

My sister told me earlier today that it’s not really like that - in that, whether you have a carb blowout or not, it won’t make a difference - in her experience. For her, she just doesn’t feel hungry AT ALL and doesn’t feel she is missing out on anything. I’m hoping that will be me too!

Mels2025 · 20/04/2025 21:03

Just place setting as I do lots of research and learning before I start in May!

GieYerselPeace · 20/04/2025 21:11

@SugaCane, yes it is strange. It massively quietens any food noise I've had previously, so I don't find I'm craving the usual bad stuff. Because I'm not having sugar crashes I'm also not craving high processed foods and genuinely want to eat cleaner. It's made me lots more conscious about what I'm putting in my body.

GieYerselPeace · 20/04/2025 21:12

Good luck for May, @Mels2025!

Your sister is right. It’s not like a diet where you feel deprived all of the time. For me, it’s a switch - I don’t feel like I’m missing out because the feeling of craving foods just isn’t there. When I eat, I get full quick. I force myself to eat because I rarely feel hungry. I’m sure we’re all here because we’ve tried every diet under the sun, and willpower and exercise only gets you so far (or nowhere in my experience), hence why MJ is revolutionary. I’ve read a lot of negative posts about WLI and those fortunate people who hate on them and don’t understand them must naturally have the suppression that MJ gives! I felt similar to you but honestly once you start taking it and feel the full effects, you’ll understand what your sister is talking about… good luck!!

fox919 · 20/04/2025 21:20

W2d3 here. Feel like I’ve done really well today 👍 I had a crème egg earlier, but other than that just bbq lunch (2 chicken skewers, half a sausage, 2 potato wedges and some salad) which I was plenty satisfied by. Have had a couple of drinks though, so some extra calories there. Had kind of hoped I’d be one of those people that had bad effects from alcohol that would put me off it but unfortunately that has not been the case!

About to watch a film with dd as it’s the last non school night of the holidays, and I have a small egg I was given that I’m going to let myself have. Hoping that maybe today will be the day that I can’t finish it 🙏 but I’m okay with it if it’s not, I’ll let myself enjoy it without guilt on this occasion. Wishing everyone the best for the coming week, and happy Easter 😊
