Don’t beat yourself up @TheFunkyDuckling . At some point in the next year surely we’re all going to over indulge?

RhaenysRocks · 19/04/2025 19:12

Really interested in the golden dose too.. any info much appreciated.

Oh, and I've probably drunk a bottle of prosecco myself 😭

It’s Easter weekend, it’s fine, you won’t ruin anything by behaving “normally” for a day. I did have a fair bit of white wine yesterday and I woke with absolutely horrific reflux at 2am, I’d probs take some cautionary rennies up to bed with!

Ooh good call, I'll take an omeprazole x x x

It’s crazy isn’t it, I’m considered as obese as I’m 11 and half stone and 5ft tall if I lost 2 and half stone I would look haggard and ill , my bust is the same since I was 15 a double 36 EE that surely must be taken in to account.
I know I look good at 10 and half which is my aim .

I’d love to know what my E cup boobs weigh on their own 😂

feeling guilty - just eaten a hot cross bun

@Crikeyalmighty @TheFunkyDuckling
Don’t feel guilty! If you average your calories over the week I expect it will make hardly any difference.
There are probably days you’ve under eaten.
We need to be able to have treats sometimes or it won’t be sustainable!
Enjoy your Easter weekend! 💕

I’ve tried on the kitchen scales 😂

Crikeyalmighty · 19/04/2025 20:22

@tc4. Mine are F - I’m sure they are probably 10lbs of my weight !!

Pepperwaggytail · 19/04/2025 21:09

Lostfirsttimebuyer · 19/04/2025 13:57

Just thinking way ahead to the future and what my goal weight should be. Because of my ethnicity, I am considered overweight at BMI 23 instead of BMI 25. Because I'm 5 ft 2, this means that 9 stone 0lbs will still be considered overweight for me - it's only 8 stone 13 that I would be considered JUST into the healthy weight range.
Anyone else short in height out there a bit dismayed at just how much weight you need to lose just to be considered a healthy weight? I can't remember the last time I was ever 8 stone something!
I am going to have to continue to overhaul my life in order to maintain that weight when I get there - no more daily bacon sarnies for me!!

I’m 5ft 2 and have a BMI of 27.something (down from 30 now) and yes I could easily drop to 8stone and be at a healthy weight. 😬 I think I prefer to go by dress sizes, I’m currently just under 11st and mostly now size 12. I could easily be an 8 or 10 though and not look skinny! The really annoying thing about being very small I find is that every bloody pound on shows! A stone on is 2 inches all over.

TheNinthLock · 19/04/2025 21:21

Mine are JJ. (🙈) I think that’s one of the reasons my bmi is so high.
I don’t think I’m as overweight as my bmi score thinks I am (but possibly I’m really deluded!)
In other news - dh and I have a habit of enjoying two squares of dark (72%) chocolate every evening with our cup of tea.
I have just given my portion to dh after one bite as it tastes vile and my brain went ‘nope’.
What is this witchcraft?

SurreyGirl69 · 19/04/2025 18:15

Really interested in how you find this @TC4 . I am also medically/ pharmaceutically trained so don't be concerned about influencing me. I am also due to go away 9th may so cautious about navigating a dose increase around then. Also did my 3rd jab of 2.5mg yesterday morning and feeling that I am relying on willpower a lot more than I have before.

I will definitely keep you posted and you can obviously decide what to do yourself. But so far so good just a bit of a dry mouth and i definitely haven’t drank enough today, and im feeling a bit cold tonight which is how i have felt with earlier doses. I go away on the 12th May so definitely want to be settled on a dose by then don’t want any side effects on a 10 hour flight lol

I have ate some Easter bits today (although actually thinking about it I’ve not had any chocolate lol) but ive had a few picky bits at a gathering I was at earlier and a crumpet this evening and i had half a cider earlier (now I’ve just written this down I actually think I’ve not eaten much at all today - but I’m not grabbing all the Easter chocolate that is just across the room from me 😂😂)

Tomorrow’s plan is a lamb roast but il go more for the veg than the roast potatoes (I will have some though!)

PinkCatInATree · 19/04/2025 21:33

Small portions being satisfying is a revelation W1D4
Or perhaps because I am paying significantly I am paying more attention too
I suspect my GP was overjoyed to see me paying for it so they can prescribe to someone else off the waiting list.

Potato1234 · 19/04/2025 21:33

I ended up taking my third injection a day early last night. I can’t stress enough how it’s like a switch for me, it’s absolutely not a placebo. Today I’ve had to have a nap and now I’m back in bed ready to sleep for the night. I’ve noticed I’ve been really snappy, but putting this down to lack of food and I’m probably dehydrated. I never sleep well but I’ve noticed the past couple of weeks my sleep has been worse than normal, on par with pregnancy sleep, where I need to get up every 1.5 hours for a wee. Hope this wears off. I’m on maternity leave at the moment, well done to everyone working and having to put up with unwanted side effects!

😂😂 I feel like they would be more than 10lbs of weight, mine have got to be a stone on their own surely 😂😂😂😂

GieYerselPeace · 19/04/2025 23:58

Some tips for new starters!

1. Prioritize Protein (90–120g/day)
Helps with muscle retention and keeps you fuller longer.
Great sources: eggs, chicken, fish, tofu, Greek yoghurt, cottage cheese.

2. Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate (2–3L/day)
Prevents dehydration and constipation (common side effects).
Add lemon, mint, or sugar-free squash to make water more exciting.

3. Embrace Healthy Fats
Keeps you satisfied and helps digestion.
Good fats: avocado, olive oil, nuts, seeds, full-fat dairy (if tolerated).Watch portions since fats are calorie-dense.

4. Track How You Feel (Not Just Calories)
Monitor appetite, mood, hunger, and fullness.
Adjust meal sizes, food choices, and exercise based on how you feel. Stay connected to progress beyond the scale!

5. Stay Active & Engaged
Mounjaro is a tool—not a magic fix.
Keep moving (walks, workouts, yoga, etc.), and prep simple, balanced meals. Focus on long-term mindset for lasting results.

Im only at week 4. 9lbs down and 3 stone to go!

I just had a BBQ with friends, and although I didn't go as over board with the food as I would have done pre MJ, I've deffo over eaten in a "normal person's diet" sort of way.

Fell really ashamed of my self for falling off the wagon at it were r especially so early in.

On the plus side, my son has loads of Easter eggs, and I'm not tempted by them, so they're is a bit of a positive x x x

No need to feel ashamed. You haven’t done anything immoral and it’s just one day. The occasional day of eating more with family or friends is just part of normal life. MJ will help us to lose weight anyway. I visited my daughter in another city today. I knew she was planning an Easter afternoon tea, with various delicious home baked cakes and mini flans, plus sandwiches. I didn’t eat excessive amounts, but I had every intention of enjoying the food and I ate stuff that I wouldn’t eat at home. It was one day. It doesn’t matter. No guilt for me. Life’s too short!

I think I’ve found my tribe! Another shorty here (5’2”) and I’m aiming for 11 stone as an initial goal as I think anything less would
make me look haggard. Also large of nork
and I genuinely think I have a large frame for my height going by things like wrist circumference. 11 stone would be a size 10-12 for me.

Mounjarogirl25 · 20/04/2025 07:54

Hi Everyone 👋

4th jab last night and I have just hit 1 stone loss! Still 5 and a half to lose to hit my initial goal (ideally I will lose another 6 and a half) but amazed at initial loss.

Week 1 -7lb
Week 2 -2lb
Week 3 -5lb

I felt more hunger last week so more willpower was needed but I stuck to plan, I have a 5mg for my next pen but will either try the golden dose or just have a half dose of the new pen next week as flying a few days after my jab and don't want to risk SE from moving up a dose.

SugaCane · 20/04/2025 08:01

Hi everyone! 😊

Hooe it’s ok to join? I’m just waiting for my delivery, which should be next week.

Slightly anxious about injecting myself but really excited to get started…

Reading all of your comments and successes has been really inspiring!

GRCP · 20/04/2025 08:19

@SugaCanei was really worried too - I have been unable to give myself injections in the past but I was amazed at how easy it is! Tiny needle and hardly any pressure needed. It was in before I knew it and I didn’t feel it at all.

Galadali · 20/04/2025 08:23

Going into week 4 and another 3lb down. I might stay on 2.5 as it's working so well. No dip in suppression at all over the week. It was fish and chips night last night, I managed about half of a kids portion and then had the tummy wobbles for the first time since starting mj. Still feeling stuffed this morning!

BMI is a load of rubbish really to put people into neat categories. I've been told I have heavy bones/huge joints as I'm nowhere near the size my BMI suggests.

SW 14st 12.5 (5ft3, 54yo)
CW 14st 2
Loss 10.5lb (W1 6.5lb, W2 1lb, W3 3lb)
GW 10st

Try an electrolyte drink, I have one a day, usually after dinner, I’ve noticed I’m not back and forth the toilet all night when I do.
They sell them in the supermarkets near the medicine aisles.

Tocktik · 20/04/2025 09:45

Start of week 4 for me

week 1 - 7lbs
week 2 - 3lbs
week 3 - 1.5lbs

I am going to try and get the golden dose.

I was planning on moving to Oushk pharmacy but forgot to order and the delivery times would have made me late for my next dose, so panic ordered from medexpress yesterday.

I’ve ordered another 2.5mg but worried the suppression won’t be strong enough for another month, I injected last night but during the day I ate the most I’ve eaten since I started, went over my calories allowance of 1482cals, I am due on though.

The needle is really small, it hurts more to pluck my eyebrows than do the jab.
I think my stomach cushion helps a lot 😅

I’ve just been accepted onto SheMed so will be starting this week too! So glad I found this thread, I agree it is really inspiring and reassuring.
unfortunately my brain has told me to binge eat all the things I won’t be able to enjoy after the injections start 😩
