@LillethCrane these days come. Focus on tomorrow.

I had scampi and chips from the chippy tonight. I enjoyed every mouthful. Stopped when I was full, and my body appreciated it. I could tell. Now onto the rest of the week and getting back on it. 💪

@MummyInTheNecropolis you inspired me to get my bum in gear last night, first treadmill activity for a while achieved. I don’t think I did anything in April because I was unwell and then felt under par.

Daily weigh in and I’m back to where I was two weeks ago which is my lowest weight since starting. Now I just need a 🚀downward trajectory.

@LillethCrane I think the odd day where things don’t go to plan is just part of life’s rich tapestry. When we’re no longer on MJ or at the weight we want to be we will have slip ups/celebrations/events.

Not right now as my appetite isn’t there, but as someone who has been counting calories for quite a while, I allow myself the odd day where I just don’t count anything.

Me and DC go out for an afternoon once a month, we usually go to a bookshop or museum and then onto somewhere really nice to eat. I love it, love the fact that my young adult kids actually want to spend an afternoon like this. I don’t count that day at all, all bets are off 🤣. ATM on MJ I can only eat a couple of starters.

Zempy · 06/05/2025 06:55

I’ve had a little whoosh! After resigning myself to one pound a week losses absolute max for the rest of my journey, I lost two pounds overnight!!

SW: 13:7
CW: 10:8
GW1: 10:5

So close to a three stone loss in five months. Amazing!

My plan was to get to GW1, top of healthy BMI, and reassess. However, I can already see that I will need to go lower to reduce my impressive belly fat and to reduce my ridiculous GG cup chest.

Feeling good today. Have a brilliant day losers. X

I was exactly the same, losing 1lb a week for about 3/4 weeks. Then this week I lost 3 1/2lbs! I imagine I’ll be back to 1lb a week now for a while. I’m waiting to break into the 10’s, hopefully next week

Grecianrainbow · 06/05/2025 07:47

WI after a weekend away and I’ve stayed around the same since before I left. Thats ok. I ate what I wanted and had a few drinks although I did eat eat a bit more than I wanted really as out in restaurants and felt rude /weird to leave so much on my plate. And I didn’t want questions from the people I was dining with. Back on it now though.

Hurray for a whoosh!

I'm with you on the ridiculous belly fat, mine is taking an AGE to reduce! 😠

asparagusfearne · 06/05/2025 08:39

Well done all on the NSV and SVs!

@Shirtyllama I've not had the leg ache as such, but definitely a mild reaction at the injection site in my thighs, and my left leg has kept a bit of a funny feeling, sort of tingly maybe in one spot? So I'm only jabbing in the right now. The only reason I could come up with for a difference between left and right was that I sleep on my left side so maybe the injected fluid was all in one place after an evening jab... maybe it's all in my head!

@LillethCrane I agree with the others, it's one day, and life will be full of them.

I stopped counting calories a month or so in. I knew I wasn't eating loads, and think that the more I worry about calories, the more I'm adding to my own food noise. If I'm keeping portion sizes sensible and prioritising protein, it's just snacks that have the potential to take me over and where I need to keep the discipline.

Saying that, we have had ice cream for pudding twice over the weekend. I'm not unhappy about that, but the scales have been teetering just above 11.0 for days now, so I'm going to keep on the straight and narrow this week to get into that next bracket.

Well done @Zempy, I'm in the same boat for body fat distribution!

BlueLimes · 06/05/2025 08:41

Great losses @Zempy @Laura7010
Thats a win after being away @Grecianrainbow

I lost 0.8lb this week, to be expected after my Easter egg and BBQ excess.

W16
SW 12.2
CW 10.37
GW 9.3 (but suspect need to be lower due to belly fat/small frame).
average weekly loss 1.6lbs although doesn’t feel like it!
Almost at the 2 stone mark and would love to be in the 9’s soon 🤞

HeavyHeidi · 06/05/2025 08:57

the extra kilo I've gained over the long weekend is still there. Official weigh day Thursday, so no panic yet, can't be a kilo of actual fat.
Good news is that skin does seem to be adjusting slowly, my face was initially getting quite saggy and kind of..foldy, not even wrinkly. But turkey neck, even if still there, is not as bad as before.

BlueLimes · 06/05/2025 09:06

Ah that is good new at @HeavyHeidi I’ve a new serum to try in the meantime.

DGonMJ · 06/05/2025 09:12

Morning losers - some great news of whooshes this morning! @Zempy 3lbs off goal 1 is v exciting. What do you think you’ll aim for next?

After eating the most calories so far on MJ on Sunday, I realised at the end of the day yesterday that I hadn’t got enough in. So suppression is still doing its thing 24 hours after jabbing.
@LillethCrane don’t know if you’ll experience the same today - but I try to look at overall weekly calorie intake rather than focussing on one day.

@BlueLimes a loss after bbq and Easter eggs is a win!

@MananaPenelope that’s my dream, that my DSs will want to spend time with me when they’re adults. You must be doing all the right things!

Scales back down to 63.2kg this morning after a fluctuation up on Monday. Feeling good after 20min yoga on the peloton app. Also need to tighten up my core and fix my posture…so I might start looking at the Pilates classes on the app. Having lost quite a bit of fat across my top half and RIP boobs it’s really emphasised my concave chest.

JoanCollinsDiva · 06/05/2025 09:50

Same here LillethCrane - I've still been feeling a lot hungrier and chocolate/bread/crisps are creeping in. A bit worrying when I'm so close to goal - I had pancakes, bacon and maple syrup for breakfast yesterday after not having breakfast since I started. Just really, really wanted it and then chocolate in the evening too. I'm not going to beat myself up about it - it just worries me as I'm still about 4lbs away from goal and I'm supposed to be titrating down after this next 7.5mg pen. But instead feel like I should've maybe gone up a dose.
So I jabbed last night and did an extra half dose from my leftovers in my other 7.5mg pen. I took 20 units from it so along with the shot of my new pen I make that 10.mg. Will see how I go this week (have already had to run to the loo so it seems to be doing something!)

I am concerned that titrating down to 5 or 2.5mg won't work for me but il just have to see how it goes.

Zempy we have very similar stats - I'm almost at a three stone loss too. It's remarkable in the timeframe really!

0ncemorewithfee1ing · 06/05/2025 10:20

People who are losing a stone every two months: this is great! Think of the difference overall. This was my goal but my loss is 2-3lbs a month. I’ve been going 15 weeks and I’ve not lost a single stone yet - and I have plenty to lose! Will be on here for ages and it’s good to know there will still be some company! And those who are already there, we can learn from the maintenance experience.

I seem to have confused lots of people about dose cumulation - apologies and thank you for trying to reply. My question was about build up in your system when just taking the specified dose. I have just taken dose 2 of 10mg and have been surprised at how little difference there is in terms of suppression - or the elusive food noise disappearing. I wondered if I have to just accept that’s it for 10mg or whether it may yet make a difference.

Finally applause for @MummyInTheNecropolis I did Couch to 5k (whilst doing Lighter Life!) and really wanted to catch the running bug but hated it. The closest I got to a runner’s high was the relief when I didn’t have to do it the next day! Really hope it’s positive for you.

And loving all the NSVs - v inspirational.

Zempy · 06/05/2025 11:10

Is anyone else experiencing issues opening their phone with their face?

About 10% of the time my phone just isn’t recognising me. I am only three stone lighter but it can’t be a coincidence can it?

Also, I am bloody FREEZING 🥶🥶🥶

HeavyHeidi · 06/05/2025 11:56

there was an old funny Swedish ad for low fat spread, where passport control could not recognise the guy as he was a lot fatter on his photo, so he had to blow out his cheeks, maybe that would work on the phone as well? 😂

mince3point14159265 · 06/05/2025 12:10

Finally catching up after a lovely holiday.

First my condolences to @cloudjumper & @0ncemorewithfee1ing , those are most unwelcome losses. Love & hugs to you & your loved ones. 💐

Great to hear that we're all sticking with it no matter what the results; definitely one of the positives of this drug. You'll get there @0ncemorewithfee1ing , just taking a more leisurely journey! And I totally agree with you about C25K. Did it 5 years ago and didn't lose any weight so the pressure on my knees was horrendous. 😫 May try again but I'm definitely not a runner & I've had a subsequent foot injury that may make it impossible. All that said however, @MummyInTheNecropolis well done for starting! What I would advise though is if anything hurts it's ok to take a break and then even repeat weeks until you feel able to move on with the program. It does work, and you will be so proud of yourself when you get to the 20 min continuous run. Sounds horrible but the program really does get you there in baby steps!

Did my week 19 jab on Saturday but couldn't really weigh accurately, as the scales in our hotel room were more random than Trump's tweets! Weighed this morning at 12.10.4 so have stayed more or less the same this week. Little disappointing as I did try to be quite active and eat moderately, but the cocktails and wine were too tempting! sorry, not sorry!

Wishing all you lovely losers a great whooshing week!

cloudjumper · 06/05/2025 12:14

Is anyone else considering getting some shapewear?! I have serious doubts that my stomach flab will disappear anytime soon, and there is an increasing downward tendency now 😫 I guess this might be some kind of NSV, but I’m not sure…
Any recommendations for decent shapewear? And also chub rub shorts, while I’m at it?!

HeavyHeidi · 06/05/2025 12:47

I have a lot of shapewear, mostly in the form of shorts, so also help against chub rub. Even when slim, they just make clothes in thin summer fabrics hang (or cling, as the case may be) nicer. Spanx is a good option, but TK Maxx always has a ton of all kinds.

Polkadotdash · 06/05/2025 13:12

@cloudjumper i recommend Conturve. The only shapewear I’ve found that stay up, no roll and no digging.

Polkadotdash · 06/05/2025 13:14

I weighed yesterday and I’m back to 13st 3lbs which is where I was before a starved myself for a week and put two lb on. Feeling like I will never lose any more at this rate!

asparagusfearne · 06/05/2025 13:18

For chub run shorts my favourite have been ones labeled as 'menopause shorts' from primark - a really thin slightly shiny fabric which are super light and not suffocating. They don't have them anymore so I'm on the lookout for something similar too, will check out the mentioned suggestions.

discov · 06/05/2025 13:52

MN seems to hate the company but I like the Snag chub rub shorts.

I’ve just bought two lightly shaping bodysuits as my stomach is a mess. I wish I could post a photo here but worried it would be too identifying! I can’t tell if it’s loose skin and I’m going to be stuck with it or if it will improve within the next stone when I hit my final goal. I’ve always had a lower belly pouch since I hit puberty, but I also have fat pockets under my boobs (where my ribs are) and it just looks awful. The fat has reduced a bit but left me with a line down the middle from my boobs to my belly button and everything just seems to be hanging there and going further south. I am 34 so not super young but thought maybe I was young enough to avoid it being so bad. It actually looked better when I was fatter!

HeavyHeidi · 06/05/2025 14:03

you're young @discov, I'm sure it will improve. Yes I have the flared rib fat pads too - lot smaller now though, which is nice.

discov · 06/05/2025 14:06

Thank you, I am really hoping it will as it’s getting me down quite a bit. I have bad loose skin on my upper arms too which I think I’m stuck with. I was 16st at my heaviest but that was early twenties after I had dd, and I’ve yo-yoed between 11st 7 and 14st since then, so I don’t know if years of going up and down a couple of stone constantly has done some damage.

cloudjumper · 06/05/2025 16:11

Today has reminded me of the fact that no all clothes sizing is equal 🙄
Trying to find a funeral outfit (I realised that I don't really own any formal black clothes other than a sparkly sequin top and top, not really suitable). Size 14 from Next is comfortable and appropriate, whereas size 14 from French Connection doesn't fit well at all. So annoying!
