New thread for those who started in January 25. 3 months in and we're still going strong 💪

@DGonMJ and 63.6 for me, we really are following each other.
What did you have ad GW and have you changed it from the original?

Initial GW was a bracket between 60-65kg. Once I got close to 65 I thought I may as well aim for a specific number so it’s 62.5kg, and then I checked my BMI at the weight and it rounds up to 23, but I need to be under 23 to be ‘healthy’ so I’m aiming for 62.4kg now. But then all it will take is 100g and be back to ‘overweight’ 🤣

Juniper (still using the app even though I order from Oushk now) automatically set my goal at 60kg which I always thought was too low. I’m happy with how I look now (despite no boobs and still with ample thighs), so I plan to slowly work on maintaining after this last kilo. And I’m trying to be less concerned about going over 1300 calories and actually letting the MJ do its thing. I want to build muscle once I’ve lost the last 2.2lbs of fat, so I’ll have to eat at maintenance which might be about 1750.

@Thelittlestranger and all those taking collagen in their coffee, do any of you drink black coffee? I don't like milk in my coffee so I'm wondering if it's ok in black coffee?

mince3point14159265 · 25/04/2025 17:43

I most definitely need to do something about my turkey waddle, it's far worse than @Zempy 's, so I bit the bullet today and bought some of Trinny's Elevator. I've taken photos and will see how things go over the next 2-3 months as to whether I feel brave enough to post them! 😬 Will use the sensitive image option if I do!

Zempy · 25/04/2025 18:01

Oh how exciting @mince3point14159265 !! Let us know how you get on with it!!

Grecianrainbow · 25/04/2025 19:55

SW 14st 7.5lb
CW 12st 12 -2.25 (-1st 9.5lb total)
GW 9st 4lb

17th dose for me today - still a slow and steady plodder, but the trend is downwards. WLI are still the gossip topic of choice at work and my mouth is zipped. No one has mentioned any weight loss to me so far, so I’m thinking it’s just not that noticeable yet.

I do, I take it in black cafetière coffee. It’s the marine one and there was a very subtle metallic after taste. But definitely not fishy. I’m used to it now and so I can’t taste it at all.
I’ve also had it in peppermint tea and couldn’t taste it in that either.

MananaPenelope · 26/04/2025 06:54

Well done @Grecianrainbow a steady loss, I think I’m still a plodder too. Someone I don’t know very well at work asked me if I was on injections last week. I said no! Cheeky thing, that’s my business.

ETA 2.5mg yesterday, no extreme side effects, acid reflux etc.. What a relief.

Thelittlestranger · 26/04/2025 07:12

I've definitely become a plodder. I also measured my height last weekend and found I'm 1.5 inches smaller than I thought I was - I've shrunk!! Which makes me the grand height of 5ft 1/4 inch!! No wonder I can't eat a lot.

@DGonMJ what a marvelous idea to drink it in peppermint tea. I'm going to try that.

@mince3point14159265 I wish I liked black coffee. Milk in my tea and coffee costs me 200 cals per day.

@Thelittlestranger how do you feel about plant milks instead? Some of them are very low calorie.

Jins · 26/04/2025 07:33

Morning all. We made a spontaneous decision to get away for the weekend and dragged our tourer to a favourite site so I’ve woken up with rabbits running around and ducks outside my door. Bliss!

There was exactly 0.6ml left in my pen yesterday so I’ve had a 7.5mg dose and I’m feeling the difference from 6.25mg. No side effects but definitely a bit more suppression. I start my 7.5mg pen next week and won’t mess with the doses. I’ll decide later in the month whether to go up or not.

Have a great weekend all!

Zempy · 26/04/2025 07:53

@Thelittlestranger I am sixty this year and I have definitely shrunk. I used to be 5 ft 5 but am now 5 ft 4. Bloody gravity!!!

No side effects from Thursday nights dose so I will probably go for the full 7.5 next week. I need to see if my body can tolerate it better than last time I attempted this dose. I’m off on holiday the week after so can’t be moping around NY whining about my headache.

Off to the theatre this afternoon with a lovely friend who had WLS about 18 months ago and has gone from size 18 to size 10/12. She’s been brilliant with dietary advice and encouragement. And I knew she wouldn’t be bothered about meeting up for “a nice lunch” beforehand!!!

Have a brilliant weekend Losers.

Thanks DG, no excuses now! I’ll have to try it. 🙏

Have a lovely time at the theatre @Zempy; great to have a friend that is so helpful & encouraging. Sounds like she’s done fantastically well losing weight too.

mince3point14159265 · 26/04/2025 08:05

And that sounds lovely @Jins, enjoy the bunnies! Our dog unfortunately finds rabbit droppings to be the equivalent of canine smarties 🤢😂

Thelittlestranger · 26/04/2025 08:23

@Jins love the waking up in the morning part when you're camping/touring like that. Used to love the bacon sandwich too....

@HeavyHeidi I like almond milk in porridge, not in tea. The consistency isn't quite right...now if I were to cut out caffeine entirely, I could cut out the milk and the sugar. Maybe I might give that a try...but what would I drink instead? I think I might be miserable...

@Zempy at 47, I may even shrink some more 😱

I drink cows milk in tea but I started making almond milk cappuccinos and after a while I couldn't drink a normal cappuccino and then the move from almond milk to just a long black coffee was easy (and made for price reasons)

asparagusfearne · 26/04/2025 08:51

Morning all and happy weekend!

On collagen - I've tried hunter and gather and then intelligent health. Much preferred the H&G so have now reordered that- ondisoint on Amazon prime rather than having to subscribe on their website to get the cheaper price.
It dissolves well in tea and I've been having it in earl grey to cover the (minor) taste, but now I'm used to it I'm sure I won't notice it in breakfast tea.
Will give peppermint a go as I drink lots of that, thanks @DGonMJ

Currently on 4.2mg and had a mixed week, a couple of days of everything wooshing through me 😳 not sure what prompted that. Then a lovely meal out last night to celebrate 3 months until our wedding day, we shared small plates and I had one delicious cocktail and a small wine, then came home both absolutely stuffed!

A hen afternoon for a good friend today which will definitely feature cake but I will hold back in the bubbles as they'll make me a bit uncomfortable.

-2lb this week but attribute that to the aforementioned whooshing, expect that to average at a -1.

Have great days, @Jins the site sounds idyllic, enjoy!

DGonMJ · 26/04/2025 09:03

Went to a neighbours for dinner last night. Got past the awkward ‘I’m not drinking’ convo and had a lovely meal of steak and homemade oven chips. They made a beautiful flourless chocolate cake which, despite braving the no-alcohol convo, felt too impolite to decline as she served me up a thick slice (so much easier to say no to dessert in a restaurant!). Luckily no bad side effects, but I felt nauseous getting into bed as it was so rich. I’m back up to my Thursday weight this morning, but feeling good to be able to participate in things like ‘dinner at a friends house’ without being too calorie obsessed.

DGonMJ · 26/04/2025 09:16

@asparagusfearne 3 months till your wedding! How exciting! Are you hoping to get to a certain goal by then? Are you having to alter your dress?

MananaPenelope · 26/04/2025 09:37

There are some lovely plans on this thread, much better than my reading, gardening and dump trips. I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.

@Thelittlestranger we drink a lot of oat milk. I always buy whichever brand is on offer weekly. I think This one is the best of the lot. Not too sweet, or bitter. Nice in tea and froths up amazingly with the steam wand on my coffee machine. DC has a latte as a Saturday morning treat if they’re here.

asparagusfearne · 26/04/2025 10:22

@DGonMJ Well I first went dress shopping back in Feb, which some people were a bit horrified about, but I knew I wouldn't be spending thousands on a boutique dress which takes six months to order. Tried on in wed2b which is a large off the peg shop, and fit comfortably in their size 14.

Then had a look on Vinted ... of course... and there was an older version of the dress I liked in a 12. I preferred a couple of details about the older version so took a punt and bought that one. It certainly didn't do up 8 weeks ago, but I'm now at about 1cm left of the zip!

I'm trying to hold back from trying it on every week, which takes restraint, but I'm going to wait now until mid May and fingers crossed I will be there.
I have a seamstress appointment late May for length/bustle so she can pick up anything extra if needed but I think the body should be just right by then.

asparagusfearne · 26/04/2025 10:26

And weight wise, another stone in the three months would be ideal and that's what I'd be looking to maintain at... I'm not sure my body is capable of getting any lower than 10st!

Randomusernameforcode · 26/04/2025 11:17

Morning all!
I am very excited today as I have FINALLY hit two stones lost and the number on the scales now (only just) starts with an 11!
This has given me a huge boost, not seen an 11 in many years.

SW: 13st 13.8.
CW: 11st 13.6.

17 weeks in. Another 4/5 to go and then I'm on my own 😬.
Hoping to hit GW1 of 11st 7 over the next few weeks.

HeavyHeidi · 26/04/2025 11:21

went to gym, now have to usual taxing DC all over the place (we live in a village, otherwise lovely, but public transport is abysmal). Then later we have a village party to celebrate the opening of a new path - no, seruously, it really is like a 200m path, not a road. Highlight of the month. 😂
And dinner with friends - luckily none of them are heavy drinkers, so if I only have a glass or 2, it won't raise any eyebrows. But one of the couples has not seen me since January, so there will be questions.

@asparagusfearne want to show us the dress?

MJalltheway · 26/04/2025 13:10

Ah @HeavyHeidi , we live somewhere like that too! It's fabulous, I love the community. I was doing goat yoga at baby goat day at the local farm a couple of weeks ago 😂
2 out of 3 kids have now passed their driving test so taxi duties have dropped off quite a lot.
