I’ve been thinking of giving Mounjaro a go, have done a lot of research and not sure who to go with? Any recommendations?

Thats amazing. I was 22 stone now I'm 18 stone. I started May 12th & stayed on 2.5. When I raised the dose to 5 it was then I started getting pains so I went back to 2.5. But following a routine gastroscopy for my Hiatus hernia they found Gastritis so my GP advised I atop buying Mounjaro. They also found multiple stomach polyps probably caused by 17 years of Lansoprazole even so the report sent yo my GP stated what was going & advice was continue with Lansoprazole & Gaviscon if needed. Since then I'm suffering dreadful stomach pains hence GP advised to stop Mounjaro which I wanted to stay on till I lost another 3 stone. 😪

It is brilliant, but sadly I lost more hair than weight, so I stopped!

I lost quite a lot of hair during the first phase of my weight loss, I was really upset about it, but I now firmly believe its because I lost too much, too quickly. MJ worked like a dream for me and I lost two stone in two months, but I wasn't paying enough attention to my nutrition.

During the second phase of weight loss, I made sure I ate more, lost a bit more slowly, and I haven't had the same problem.

I’ve lost 4.5 stone. Life changing. Not easy though. The side effects can be hard going sometimes.

In April I had very thin hair and was a tight size 18. I now have very thin hair and am a loose size 12. The impact on every aspect of my health and life has been huge and my hair is no worse … I was willing to risk it. There are amazing not too expensive wigs available these days.

I cannot bear my hair becoming thinner than it is now, and I don’t want to wear a wig.

I really don’t think it’s common for people to have to wear wigs, it is just the hair sheds more during the weight loss phase, and then it comes back when it stops and not everyone gets it. I think if it was so bad people had to wear wigs the drug would not be used by many and it would be all over social media it was that bad, it’s not. I lost 6 and a half stone, yes my hair thinned a little, it it fine anyway but only detectable by me, and it’s now growing back it really wasn’t a big deal.

i genuinely think if it was commonly so severe people had to wear wigs it would be all over social media. In addition, there are so many befor and afters in Reddit, and you can see people’s hair is fine.

i think some drama on here really.

I think because I have been taking Biotin vits for a good few years now I didn't have or notice hair loss. Tbh, my hair has always been fine so I think I'd have notice if I'd started losing hair. If it wasn't for the Gastritis found after my Gastroscopy I'd still be on Mounjaro. I wanted to lose enough to be at least 16 stone which us still too heavy but walking would be so much easier. I'm have CT + Contrast this Wednesday if all is clear & Gastritis is less I'll go back to Mounjaro. Although, my GP suggested Wegovy as it's easier on body apparently 🤷‍♀️

Hi everyone - just jumping on here as there’s lots of people who can hopefully help answer me. I have been on M for nearly 3 weeks and have lost 8lbs. I am not obese but have health issues that I won’t go into here. What I have noticed is that the weight seems to be coming off strange places - I am continuing to weight train and eat protein. Did anyone else have this and did it eventually kind of balance out?

I was on it from May until November & lost just under 4 stone. I lost weight from my face first then neck, boob's, hips. But my face was really noticeable first.
I do think it's worth but it's expensive & eventually I was diagnosed with Gastritis. It was too painful to carry on & my appetite is creeping back. 😱

Hi - oh really sorry to hear you had that experience! Did you have those side effects from early on?

The first two weeks I had diarrhea but it settled after that & I was fine until in October (month 5) when I went up to the 5mg injection & that caused the Gastritis. If I had stayed on the 2.5mg I don't think I would have got the Gastritis. A few friends have had problems with the 5mg dose. A couple have gone to the 7mg dose & were better on than than the 5mg. It's strange. If I hadn't got Gastritis I would have carried on even though money was tight but Gastritis is very painful.

19lbs on 9 weeks and I've given up smoking.

Be aware of the med express touters. There is an official place to post discount codes. They get £40 off, you get £40 off. There have been numerous complaints about med express recently.

I'm on 7.5 but I think I'll change supplier next month. I've got 2 stone to go but want to think about maintenance - and cost!

Fyi its £50 off each 😊

I’ve seen quite a few people say they wish they had stayed on the 2.5. For me the appetite suppression was really strong in the second week and not as much this week so I can see why people go up. However what I am noticing most is that food has become a bit of a nothing to me I can take or leave it even when I feel physically hungry whereas before I would always want to snack. I’ve definitely had side effects being tired, nausea and a sore throat.
