New thread as I am sure we will fill thread 2 up by the end of today!

Welcome back everyone and well done for all the losses. Some have 5-6 stone to lose, some have 2 stone and me I have put 4 stone but looking at the BMI chart I could lose 6 stone and still be in the healthy range.

Thanks for the new thread

Weigh day today

Age 40
Height 5'7

SW 18st 7lb
Week 1 -5lbs (2.5mg)
Week 2 -3lbs (2.5mg)
Week 3 -3lbs (2.5mg)
Week4 -2lbs (didn't jab as ill)
-13lbs lost

So I will probably wait one more day as I have a horrible cold and then do 30 clicks in my thigh. At first I was too ill to be bothered with food but the food noise is definitely coming back strong now so need the next jab soon.

@RuthEvershedforPM hope you're feeling better today I think low mood can be a side effect so just be kind to yourself it can be hard for us to adjust to the medication

Farmeci & we prescribe are both less than £100 for 2.5mg.
I ordered with Farmeci no issues and they said they will price match my next order if I send a screenshot.

@RuthEvershedforPM really sorry to hear you’re feeling low, hope things pick up for you soon. And congratulations on the loss, that’s amazing.

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 04/04/2025 09:08

Just checking in on the new thread , didn't realise we were here already! Loving all the support and chat, I've told no one in real life so this thread really helps.

I'm wk 3 d 6, snd have ordered 5mg but thinking I should have stuck with 2.5 actually. I suppose it doesn't make ant difference, I can still use 2.5. I keep feeling that tge suppression isn't working for done reason, yet my losses saying otherwise. So I will take half the 5mg dose if this carries on.

Really pleased with the weight loss. I can’t see it when I look in the mirror yet. Maybe soon.

I don’t know if it’s a side effect or just a rough week… but I have cried every day this week. It’s been tricky at work and a couple of other things just haven’t worked out and I feel like I have no resilience. Feeling really sad and lonely:(.

Try and keep an eye on yourself, low mood can be a side effect. Hopefully it’s just a bad week (daft sentence) and you begin to feel better but try and prioritise some things to take care of yourself x

I’ve used both Farmeci and IQ Doctor (who, I think issue a bigger discount code a bit further into the month) and both have been simple and efficient processes and great packaging. iQ Doctor’s ice pack was still completely frozen but that may be because it was delivered a couple of hours earlier than Farmeci’s.

There is a questionnaire with both, Farmeci wanted a photographic form of ID and a video showing you holding it. I wore a fleece and a pair of yoga pants. IQ Doctor wanted pictures of you in a close fitting top and bottoms.

Interesting that Farmeci price match - was that with or without a discount @Beinthepresent?

RuthEvershedforPM · 04/04/2025 09:28

Thanks all, feel a little better already for typing /saying it out loud. Am sure the weekend will help reset a bit :)

Pipsballoon · 04/04/2025 09:35

Almost at the end of week 5 for me (golden dose of 2.5mg) and I feel as though weight loss is stalling. Not suppression, that is still pretty decent, but although calorie intake is higher than previous weeks, it is still averaging 1300 and that should be enough for 1-2 pounds. I'm wondering if my body is protesting, and being resistant to the lack of sugar, and 5 weeks of restricted calorie intake. So I decided to have a day yesterday where I ate what I wanted and increased my calorie intake to around 2000, including a higher sugar intake (I've been keeping that very low). I'm hoping it tricks my metabolism into not conserving weight, and from today, a few days of closer to 1000 cals a day might get some momentum going again.

Am I nuts? Does anyone else think this can help, or have any other suggestions, when you've had a very small loss (probably around half a pound this week)?

taylorswift1989 · 04/04/2025 09:46

I think that having days of higher calories definitely helps. Your body adjusts to lower calories and also if its too low thinks you're in a famine situation so will put more food in reserve, I.e. fat. So very low calorie diets are really counterproductive.

taylorswift1989 · 04/04/2025 09:47

Dr Stacy Sims was on Mel Robbins podcast last week and she is brilliant on explaining exactly how to eat and exercise for weight loss and health.

Aboutmeabouttime · 04/04/2025 09:59

NSV - I had moved a button on my trousers to make the waist band more comfortable (hardly worked) but now I need to move it back 🤣🪡 a job for the weekend!

I'm not sure to be honest, I've just started week 3 so I want to wait until Monday to decide wether to go up to 5 or stay on 2.5 so I'll let you know if they do end up matching with a discount. If they say no I will just switch. So either way nothing to loose. I just sent an email to them to say I didn't intend to follow the plan as I wanted to shop around for the best price and they said send a screenshot of the price and they will see if they can match it.

Hey @RuthEvershedforPM i had a really low day yesterday, couldn’t shake it off, couldn’t focus at work, felt sad and lonely, ate some crap for the first time in 5 weeks. I’m pretty sure it was MJ related.

Fatmumslim01 · 04/04/2025 10:34

Hey @RuthEvershedforPM sorry to hear you are not feeling so good. I've had 2 mj jabs so far (due my 3rd this evening) and the each time Ive has my jab I'm really weepy the next day like baby blues, very odd!

Justformounjaro · 04/04/2025 10:38

@Pipsballoon It might not be the calories but what makes up the calories that is the issue. I listened to a podcast a while ago (might have been Zoe) about how our bodies process food. The more “whole” a food is the fewer calories we absorb from it as your body is doing more work to process that food - so, you may eat some almonds and your body uses more energy to consume them compared to eating ground almonds in a cake as an example.

Also, I can see that my weight fluctuates quite markedly when I eat salty foods.

I have previously lost steadily on a 2000 calorie a day diet - but I was exercising 3-4 times a week then. I’m not exercising as such but I am quite active (and heavy!) so with my Fitbit over the last year, I show an average calories burned of around 2300 a day. Eating a bit more to fool your body is a bit like intermittent fasting.

TheBossOfMe · 04/04/2025 10:48

I moved my jab day one more day ahead again - I can feel the suppression wearing off on about day 5 and peaking on day 2/3/4 so Thursday jab day it is if I want max suppression over the weekend downfall days. So yesterday was first 5mg jab - feeling fine so far, just a bit cold.

Chocolatecakewithsprinkles · 04/04/2025 11:04

Week 3 for me, jabbed right side stomach first 2 weeks didn't feel a thing switched sides yesterday was very painful which i wasn't expecting. Now I've had a few weeks to confirm them side effects seem to be ridiculously cold feet and hands within an hour and tingling lips and slight nausea but nothing crippling. These go after the weekend normally, i don't so much get suppression but feel i don't want to eat as there's something trapped going down (hope that makes sense) getting a bit of food noise so using will power there which is easier than before as i would crumble and inhale crisps or biscuits every night.
