New thread as I am sure we will fill thread 2 up by the end of today!

Welcome back everyone and well done for all the losses. Some have 5-6 stone to lose, some have 2 stone and me I have put 4 stone but looking at the BMI chart I could lose 6 stone and still be in the healthy range.

Morning Everyone

I just did my W5 injection, I used 0.9ml from the 2.5mg pen but I had a lot more left, maybe another 0.3ml. I’ve binned the pen now as I have my 5mg in the fridge. So half a dose increase this week, let’s see what happens 🤣

I lost half a stone last week 😯 total loss is 8lbs.

Ps I had the melt in the middle chocolate pudding last night and it was delish 😋

Good luck to everyone this week and anyone increasing ❤️

CallMeStella · 21/04/2025 11:42

@Wouldratherbewatchingmafs

Hiya, yep my SE are intermittent. I’ve had the headache and neck pain after most jabs. Then the occasional random days of complete suppression. Freezing cold at times too. None of which have been consistent.

Keep going girlie 💪🏼

Got awful awful bubble guts again my own fault as I know fried food is a trigger and what did I have last night….salt and pepper chicken from the Chinese! Luckily for me I only had a starter size and half that went in the bin as my other half misheard me…..I was fumed at the time but now so thankful as god knows what would be occurring if I’d had it all!

Same here with fried stuff, and I can't eat anything with the tiniest amount of chilli or hot spice in it. It reminds me of when I first developed IBS 15 years ago and had to cut out loads of trigger foods. I'm using lemon juice, garlic and herbs as flavourings and marinades for chicken, but eating out is harder.

Yeah as I say my own fault but when everyone was having Chinese I didn’t want to look mardy….should have just had something not fried though 😂. Yes to lemon/lime juice and herbs but too much garlic gives me the sulphur burps 😂. Trial and error I guess! And to add insult to injury I’ve out weight on today….probs water retention from salty takeaway! But still annoying x

Bipaloss · 21/04/2025 14:04

I have to have moan. Is it just me who is really annoyed at paid influencers claiming to have lost xx stones in xx weeks on social media ?

I follow a few real ones who never mentions who their provider is eg Peaches on Mounjaro who realistically has lost around 5st in 6-7 months , he talks mainly about food habits nsv and side affects etc and the followers has almost become like this group supporting each other etc

then you have other who instantly mentions or shows who their providers is eg one guy claimed he had lost 7 stones in 12 weeks and mentioning Voy several times in his video’s . On all the videos the comments are turned off clearly because people must have grilled him as it’s not realistic to have lost that much weight in such a short period of time

it angers me that some companies are using “fat” influencers to market something that MJ does not do, making people expect a magical loss . Eg there is another thread on here where the person expected a 12lb loss the first week and was super disappointed that they had “just” lost 2lb in 4 days

sorry had to have a moan and to remind myself to stop wasting time watching reels 😂

Crikeyalmighty · 21/04/2025 14:20

@Bipaloss this is what I referred to earlier - it seems to have become a bit of a money making racket - rather too cultish - yes it can work and does for many but it still requires a stringent calorie defect regime- that is medically aided by suppressing appetite and increasing satiety . It isn’t going to literally melt fat away with no changes and not everyone feels fit and well on it.

BeaTwix · 21/04/2025 14:54

Weigh in day today! And my plateau appears to be over.
I'm W6 D5

SW - awful
CW - 119.5kg (under the 120kg mark!!!)
GW - 73kg

I've now knocked another two targets off my list - first stone off and below 120kg.

NSV - tried on some gym tops that I've not been wearing as they were too tight. Now fine and can go back into the rotation.
I also made myself a wearable toile of a top at the end of last summer and it was a bit neat around the hips so I didn't make the second one in my brand new expensive fabric as it was going to need quite a bit of pattern tweaking and I'm quite new to dress making. It now fits well. In fact there is probably an inch of spare room on each side. Still not completely convinced the duvet cover pink suits me (as I said wearable toile so made from an old duvet cover) but it is probably worth seeing what some machine dye will do to it. I just hope I used cotton thread as polyester doesn't take dye....

@SmallSoupcon

Ladies try Asofoetida as a replacement for garlic and onions or leeks instead of oniom

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 21/04/2025 15:10

@Justformounjaro I've only ever jabbed in my left thigh so very odd. I can still see last week's reaction too.

BeaTwix · 21/04/2025 15:24

@Illbefinejustbloodyfine you are meant to rotate injection sites or you can get a injection site reaction.
It's obv more common in diabetics who inject multiple times a day but I would seriously consider rotating your injection sites.

Fatmumslim01 · 21/04/2025 15:31

@Bipaloss I really like watching " babbling by the brook" on YouTube she's lost 24 pound in 24 weeks and I like her videos.

Also "my life's toil" on YouTube. Again he's quite relatable

Always looking for YouTube recommendations!

Yellowsubmarine55 · 21/04/2025 15:47

I watch lady mawa and she's done loads of videos.

Anyone who’s had delays with medexpress, how long before you received your order?

I was going to order with a different pharmacy this time but forgot that it was Easter weekend so panic ordered from medexpress on Saturday but have just had an email to say they are experiencing delays at warehouse, it’s just the 2.5mg pen.

im due next jab on the weekend, I’ve got a golden dose but wanted my next pen incase I don’t manage to get the golden dose out!

@Tocktik I was the same although not with medexpress I panicked ordering incase I couldn't get the golden dose out but it was so easy, actually easier than doing the usual clicks etc!

SmallSoupcon · 21/04/2025 16:27

NSV! I don't know whether it's because I'm lighter, stronger, or a mix of both, but I just did an hour's brisk walk around my area - no stopping or dawdling.
I was angry walking so went at a pace! I had bags of energy, no knee pain, felt strong the whole way, and didn't want to stop at the end.
I feel fantastic and it's given me a much needed mood boost. This is the kind of feeling I've been hoping for - able to exercise without pain and frustration, just because I enjoy it. And I'm not angry any more 😂
My daily strength exercises must be paying dividends - I'm now able to hold a proper plank for a whole minute 🤯

TheBossOfMe · 21/04/2025 16:43

@SmallSoupcon Well done, that’s amazing! It’s all of those health impacts that make this worthwhile.

My MJ is almost paying for itself with the reduction in food and wine bill 😂

RuthEvershedforPM · 21/04/2025 17:00

Oh what a great update @SmallSoupcon! Pleased you’ve had a well earned boost and three cheers for channeling the rage x

Crikeyalmighty · 21/04/2025 17:25

@SmallSoupcon if ever you want to think about progress - pick up a bag of sugar - lkg only and yet it feels quite heavy - sometimes1kg down really feels like nothing on a long journey but you pick it up and realise it’s actually quite substantial!!

soupforbrains · 21/04/2025 17:54

@BeaTwixyes you have to change injection SITES but you don’t have to change locations. The guidance specifically states that you don’t have to use a different body part each time you inject so long as you don’t inject in the actual same place. For example it’s fine to always inject in your right thigh, just make sure you’re moving around and not using the specific same location.

IngoGreen · 21/04/2025 18:03

@SmallSoupcon bravo 👏

I did not know that! Thank you.

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 21/04/2025 18:17

Oh just read your post @soupforbrains . I do change the actual site but use the left thigh.

I agree to this I only inject in tummy as I don’t feel comfortable doing thigh or arms (I have huge belly in proportion to my body so rather inject where I have most flab) but I rotate clockwise around my belly button (5-8 cm away)

one week I forgot I had done bottom left previous week and by mistake did it very close to the last one and it actually leaked some though that hole also got some minor bruising because of it now I rotate clockwise and make note in my app so I remember it

Justformounjaro · 21/04/2025 19:14

I’ve only ever used my tummy to inject but I use the site that Shotsy recommend. I went from lower right to upper left (first reaction) to upper mid (second reaction). I think I might rotate a bit between thighs and tummy in the future to see if that improves things.
