New thread as I am sure we will fill thread 2 up by the end of today!

Welcome back everyone and well done for all the losses. Some have 5-6 stone to lose, some have 2 stone and me I have put 4 stone but looking at the BMI chart I could lose 6 stone and still be in the healthy range.

Afternoon everyone, fourth weight in today. I’ve lost -3lbs, taking my total loss to -20lbs.

Wk 1: -12lb
Wk 2: -4lb
Wk 3: -1lb
Wk 4: - 3lb

The difference Mounjaro has made is unbelievable! My mind feels so much calmer, without the constant food noise battle going on. I’m moving up to 5mg, and will jab later. 2 bottles of Pepto Bismol on hand, just incase. Have a lovely weekend all.

has PP has said that’s a huge first week loss but also good losses each week on 2.5 (personally I lost around 10 lb in total the 4 weeks)

don’t be too scared of 5MG I haven’t had any SE at all and seen many of us have not

I do get cold hands and feet’s and get occasionally dizzy but this is more related to water/food intake due to the strong suppression I have on 5mg

RuthEvershedforPM · 18/04/2025 18:30

No loss for a few days here so hoping for a whoosh soon!

still same main side effect - always seem to be be freezing! Just had a warm bath as cold was in my bones

NSV ish - a bit of a double edged sword. We have no Easter plans and can’t really fix that for annoying reasons. I am a little bit sad about it - BUT ordinarily I would comfort eat my way through that - take aways, chocolate filling the void with both eating by myself or just suggesting eating out to beat the boredom. Today I have instead had two big salads for lunch and dinner and no snacks.

@PS5Gamer my mind is so much calmer too, not just relating to food noise but I find myself being less anxious.

For example I hate driving a certain route and will always take the long way to avoid it but since being on MJ I've done it twice and didn't feel anxious about it!

I'm moving up to 5mg tonight, I'm a bit apprehensive about side effects, but I ate 3 cadbury creme eggs today so i think I need to increase my dose!!

To be honest I'm impressed that I stopped at 3, there were 5 in the pack !!!😀

Crikeyalmighty · 18/04/2025 20:18

@cmh18 a real bonus for me this time of year as I don’t like chocolate or sweets

SmallSoupcon · 18/04/2025 21:24

NSV! I used a YouTube video to do a sewing hack and take in the waistband of my jeans. It's a bit bodged, but they now stay up!

I've just done mine too!! I did 3.75 last week and the side effects weren't as a bad as they were on 2.5 so fingers crossed this will be the same

taylorswift1989 · 18/04/2025 22:14

Another nervous Nelly here! I jabbed about 3.3mg from 5mg pen this morning. Zero probs so far, good suppression. I definitely feel it has built up now after week 2 and 3 on 2.5mg where really I just white knuckled through it!

I bought myself my fave chocolate bar from M&S today. After dinner (a cheese omelette) i thought i fancied a bit. Broke off two squares, ate one and put the other one back in the packet. What have I become?!

Weigh in day
SW 194
CW 179
Goal was to get to not be obese but I've only got a couple of lbs to go for that so I need to rethink
Is anyone else struggling to 'get' their weight - it's been over 20 years since I was below 180lb and it's like my brain doesn't believe it - I'm still thinking of myself being somewhere around 200

SpottyUnicorn · 18/04/2025 23:34

I had my first 5mg injection on Sunday and I’ve regretted it terribly!
Spent 2h in a car on Monday and my poor husband couldn’t believe the smell that was coming out of my mouth due to eggy burps. He really deserves a medal for surviving that journey!
It’s been going downhill since then- was up all night on Tuesday due to severe nausea and headache; all day in bed on Wednesday and Thursday. The only thing I’ve been able to eat is toast and some fruit.
Woke up this morning and feeling normal again- nausea is gone and so are my awful headaches.
I am not sure what to do on Sunday, shall I continue with 5mg and hope that my body is now used to it or lower the dosage. 2.5mg didn’t work for me- I was more hungry than I was before MJ (even though I did end up losing some weight).

AintNobodyHereButUsChickens · 18/04/2025 23:35

Last July DH bought me a diamond eternity ring, I haven’t really taken it off since… Until tonight, I’ve just had to put it away back in its box because it’s already loose enough to easily slip off my finger! I’m shocked my rings are getting loose after not even 4 weeks on MJ!

May be try 3.75 for a week and see how that goes I believe it’s 45 clicks..(?) , you might also have less SE a second week on 5mg who knows..

I didn’t have any issues first week of 5mg but I had some spillage so I think I had around 4mg took my second dose last Sunday and managed all and no SE either weeks (did only 4 doses on 2.5

I’ve been the same on all 3 of my 5mg after having no side effects (apart from constipation) on 2.5. I’ve had nausea, migraines, sickness, suppression massively!, and the burps and heartburn! So I’m sticking to 5 next month too and hope I can get used to it. I have lost weight but I’m not surprised really bearing in mind went for an Indian tonight (day 4 of jab) and managed 1.5 poppadoms, about 6 chips and 2 bits of chicken

GameOfJones · 19/04/2025 07:12

@SpottyUnicorn personally if your side effects are that severe I would go down a dose and do 3.75mg on your next jab and see how that goes. This is the conundrum I've got.... I'm in my second week of 3.75mg and think I have the right balance of suppression but no bad side effects. The plan was always to increase to 5mg but now I'm not sure!

popdepop · 19/04/2025 07:18

Morning everyone took my first 5mg injection last night, was quite panicky as when I took it , I had a feeling come over me, then the numbness/pins and needles. It's gone now. So far so good, but im very prepared this time with meds after my last bout of diahorrea. Really hoping all is OK..

MateusMeMe · 19/04/2025 09:00

as there can be delays in stock order as soon as you can. it keeps in the fridge...

Aboutmeabouttime · 19/04/2025 09:07

Morning! End of week 5 for me:
SW 13st 7lbs
CW 12st 4lbs

Almost 10% loss, BMI 28.7 now dropped from obese to overweight :) I’m sticking with 2.5mg this month as it seems to be working for me and don’t feel the need to go up (yet?).

I’ve had some chocolate and will no doubt have some more tomorrow 😬
Hope everyone has a good weekend x

I have this every time I take , I don’t feel the needle but feel the liquid going inside (probably because it’s cold) and then have a weird feeling for a bit.
as I’m a bit panicky when I do it and had some leakage two weeks in a row (probably took out pen too quickly and once I pierced through)

last week I decided to sitting down and do it (was standing every time) and that made a huge difference, barely felt it go in and no odd feeling. Deffo gonna be sitting moving forward

so if you usually stand when going it try sitting

I think the odd feeling numbness is most likely cause of Adrenalin

SpottyUnicorn · 19/04/2025 09:51

@Lolliz87 you poor thing! This sounds absolutely horrible. One week alone with these symptoms was unbearable, I can’t even imagine what it’s been like for you for three weeks. Have you tried Pepto Bismol? I read that it can minimise some of the symptoms. I bought some yesterday in hope it will help once I take my next dosage.

thanks so much for the tip. Yes, I normally stand, will sit next time!
