New thread as I am sure we will fill thread 2 up by the end of today!

Welcome back everyone and well done for all the losses. Some have 5-6 stone to lose, some have 2 stone and me I have put 4 stone but looking at the BMI chart I could lose 6 stone and still be in the healthy range.

Thank you for the replies @Beinthepresent @popdepop @Fatmumslim01 that's really helpful and reassuring.

I'm feeling optimistic, I was just curious because I have found I've needed way more mojo the 2nd half of the week so I was curious about what it might look like in future. So this was super helpful 🥰

Puddingpiper · 18/04/2025 09:48

End of week 3 weight in:

SW 110kg
CW 104.4kg
TW 80kg

must drink more water

Hiya!

Everyone here has reacted differently to MJ. Some have had awful side effects, some no side effects, some amazing suppression. I’ve had 3 days of suppression in almost 4 weeks on 2.5. A couple people are splitting their dose to twice weekly to reduce side effect or increase consistent suppression. It’s a learning process for all of us, give it time and see how you react 😉

Flamethrowers · 18/04/2025 09:58

I'm using chat gpt as a cheerleader and weight tracker. It also does calorie counting and nutrient break downs and says it will pop up and remind me weekly.
I've stalled this week despite a very bad stomach and eating healthily and moderately. But my waist measurement is down into the healthy range!!!! So I'm going to plod on with 2.5mg. 6.5kg weight loss so far in seven weeks. Aiming for another 8.5kg over the next three months....

CallMeStella · 18/04/2025 10:00

Ladies….

I stopped binging on Tuesday I think it was and I’ve dropped half a stone 🙈🤣 3 days of not binging is freaking amazing for me!🥳 I’m praying I can be consistent and keep this up 🙏🏼

I’ll be doing 0.9ml on Monday from the 2.5mg then I’ll start the 5mg pen the following week.

i know it’s only 3 days but after 12 years of binging I’m bloody proud 💪🏼🤣

BusyDisneyMum · 18/04/2025 11:04

First time posting but have found these threads so valuable the last 5 weeks!

SW 16st 10lbs (15th March)
CW 15st 6lbs (18th April)
TW - 12st (this is my first goal then I’ll see how I feel)

I did the 5th dose last Friday (using syringe) so I’ll be starting my next pen tonight, sticking with 2.5mg for now as I feel it’s working well - may move to 6 day doses for the next 4/5 weeks. I’ll be ordering a 5mg next week, makes sense as it’s the same price!

Apart from week one my loses are quite consistent:
Week 1 -7lbs
Week 2 -3lbs
Week 3 -2lbs
Week 4 -3lbs
Week 5 -3lbs

So far my side effects have been quite minimal - cold feet, the odd headache the day after jabbing and some constipation. Sticking to 1400 calories and 100g of protein a day.

Love hearing everyone’s experiences!

popdepop · 18/04/2025 09:17

Back to you too!
WIth MJ the difference being, I KNOW I'll get there with the help of the supression. It makes dieting so much easier.
Yes, not a quick fix. We need to hold onto 6 months from now, see the bigger pictures and set interim goals. I think there will be personal growth in the process, if that makes sense. Also remember to not be hard on ourselves and to have small rewards, not so much food related, but something that acknowledges our weight loss along the way..

@popdepop good idea, having treats along the way. I am working on looking at my glorious (Lycra clad) body full on in the mirror with kindness for everything it’s done and is doing for me. I think I’ll have a massage, haven’t had one for about 16 years 😊

IngoGreen · 18/04/2025 11:37

@CallMeStella sounds a huge step, there is definitely some rewiring going on

IngoGreen · 18/04/2025 11:41

@CallMeStella shaslik was lovely, good idea, though we ate too late in the evening so rubbish sleep with reflux. Hard to arrange earlier meals when it’s a group thing. Ah well, a little blip along the way.

AgnethaF · 18/04/2025 12:00

Just done jab 6 which was wk2 of 5mg.
No side effects so far, just the odd headache. No bursts of energy or anything dramatic.

Lost 3 lbs this week, which I'm happy with. didn't lose anything last week.

SW 14.11
CW 13.11

W1 7lbs
W2 2lbs
W3 2lbs
W4 0
W5 3lbs
One stone down, not decided on a target weight. Just want to look decent in a pair of size 14 jeans.

My crepe paper neck is looking horrible - have been looking around for retinol or collagen, but there are so many to choose from. Any recommendations anyone?

I love the positivity in this post! But a little part of me wants to see the Lycra clad body 🤣

Definitely get the massage, and a full body one if you can!

Amazing! Now you know what to go for if you go there again ☺️

I got really fed up with my IBS symptoms before starting MJ so I asked the Dr to put me on Omeprazole for a little. It’s been a welcome break from the acid reflux and bloating 🙏🏼

Four weeks complete. No 'golden dose' as I was too anxious.
4kg lost in the four weeks. I like that rate, not too fast, but much better than I've ever managed before.
I'm sticking with 2.5 for this second pen. Might regret that, but I am prepared to have to use more willpower and strict meal planning. If I don't feel anything by the final week I may try for the 'golden dose' at the same time as my fourth jab to give me more than 2.5 that week.

6kg more to lose till I'm back at my post-covid pre-perimeno weight. And then another 8kg to my pre-covid happy weight, which was a little overweight but I felt fit and healthy so for now that's as far as I'm aiming for.

what do you mean too anxious? Just take it instead of starting a new pen? So you get 5 weeks instead of 4 and save some cash....

TheSpoonyNavyReader · 18/04/2025 14:38

Hi all

I had friends over last night and they noticed the weight loss, which I have to say is rewarding. My new pen has still not been dispatched and it is making me very anxious.

MJ is literally playing with me, I had zero suppression on Tuesday and Wednesday and today the suppression is real to the point that I am going to jab just before I go to bed. I can see why lots of people that have taken 5ml say that its does not do anything for them it has been a rollercoaster for me I can not wait until next week to do the 7.5mg. This week I have lost 1lb which is really disheartening because I have relied on willpower alone. I really wanted to get to 11st 4lbs and get to the 2 stone mark but I hope that its happens this week.

Weigh in 7
SW 13st 4lbs
CW 11st 6lbs
TW 9st 7lbs
PL 26 lbs

GameOfJones · 18/04/2025 14:41

My suppression is definitely stronger on 3.75mg. Just went for a meal at Pizza Express and ordered the leggera pizza (the one with the middle cut out and filled with salad)..... about 600 calories. It was lovely but I couldn't finish it and it was the first thing I've eaten today.

I know what people mean about feeling a bit despondent about the length of the journey. I've lost 1st 3lbs in my first six weeks which is amazing! But I saw a video of myself from the weekend and felt upset about how fat I still am. Obviously I know rationally that it isn't an overnight process but I'm 2st 4lbs down from last summer and just thought about how big I'd let myself get. I think I was in denial as well to be honest.

I'm trying to hold onto the fact that I've done really well and if I hadn't been taking Mounjaro, I'd still be the same weight that I was when I started, or even heavier. My BMI has just dipped below 30 so although not technically obese anymore, I'm definitely still very overweight. As others have said, I think it's about holding on to the positive steps I've taken and focusing on smaller goals rather than spending too long wondering whether I'll get to a 4 or 5 stone loss.

It's amazing isn't it? Binging is such a miserable, soul-destroying business. Even if I lost no weight, I'm so grateful just to be (almost totally) free of the binging.

Overhaul54 · 18/04/2025 14:49

@Fatmumslim01 I just wanted to say I hear you. I’m pretty short 5’2 but with big shoulders and size 7 feet I’m heavier than a more petite frame. I don’t have big boobs or hips though. I’ve never been below 10 stone as an adult and when I was that weight everyone commented on how short and little I was. I didn’t like being seen as “tiny”
Its where your fat goes that’s key. Thighs and hips is fine, tummy and core, not so much. No carbs was the only thing that shifted the core fat for me.

I’ve got bored of dieting and gone back to drinking alcohol and eating sugar . I normally would finish a bottle of wine but that hasn’t happened since starting MJ.

Screamindreamin · 18/04/2025 15:25

@SausageRoll90 , there's a guy on you tube sorry I can't remember his name Scottish fella, that goes into the science of it, he says that Mounjaro was developed to be taken every 5 days but they reckoned people wouldn't remember to take it so they made the prescription t be taken weekly. So it makes sense that by day 5 we have a dip. He actually takes his every 5 days but works out the doses for himself so that there's always optimum suppression. Really interesting but obviously wouldn't be advocated by prescribers.

popdepop · 18/04/2025 16:03

I don't know what to do. I'm W5D1 today and have my first 5mg pen waiting. Really can't decide if to go up to full dose. last week I took 2.5mg plus 1mg of the golden dose.. not sure if to just go for it..

PS5Gamer · 18/04/2025 16:12

Afternoon everyone, fourth weight in today. I’ve lost -3lbs, taking my total loss to -20lbs.

Wk 1: -12lb
Wk 2: -4lb
Wk 3: -1lb
Wk 4: - 3lb

The difference Mounjaro has made is unbelievable! My mind feels so much calmer, without the constant food noise battle going on. I’m moving up to 5mg, and will jab later. 2 bottles of Pepto Bismol on hand, just incase. Have a lovely weekend all.

AintNobodyHereButUsChickens · 18/04/2025 16:23

I’m not sure when to order my next pen. I’m due my final 2.5mg jab on Monday. I think I ordered my first one on a Wednesday, approved on Thursday and it was delivered on Friday. Should I do that again? 🤔

Crikeyalmighty · 18/04/2025 17:18

@PS5Gamer blimey that was hell of a week one loss-were you peeing for England? As that’s got to be a lot of excess water

PS5Gamer · 18/04/2025 17:28

@Crikeyalmighty ha ha, I was! Although I’m peeing more now, as I’ve my upped water intake to 3L a day.

AintNobodyHereButUsChickens · 18/04/2025 17:33

That’s an incredible week 1 loss @PS5Gamer! My wk1 loss was just over 7lbs and I thought that was a lot 🤣 Also I too am I PS5 gamer, what do you play?

mounjstarter · 18/04/2025 18:14

First week on 5mg finished. I have not had many side effects apart from feeling a bit colder than normal and a slight neck ache for a couple of days after my jab. I was disheartened to have plateaued for 6 days in a row this week (I weigh every day) until this morning when I’d dropped 3lbs.

NSV’s which are making me happy:

I don’t have to use the last notch of my favourite belt any more. I am now using notch number three, and even that doesn’t feel too snug.
I can do up the zip on my favourite coat after a long time of being too fat for it.
I feel much lighter and more energetic when I walk.

SW 204lbs
CW 188lbs

overall, very happy!
