New thread as I am sure we will fill thread 2 up by the end of today!

Welcome back everyone and well done for all the losses. Some have 5-6 stone to lose, some have 2 stone and me I have put 4 stone but looking at the BMI chart I could lose 6 stone and still be in the healthy range.

Weigh in day. Starting week 4 today.
SW 16 stone 11
W1 16 stone 3
W2 16 stone 1
W3 15 stone 13
Total 12 pounds lost

no SE now and not a lot of supression. I'm tempted to do 2.5 plus get an extra 1.25 from the golden dose on this last pen with the hard twist. Any advice?

popdepop · 11/04/2025 18:05

ok, so I did a hard twist following my last 2.5 mg and got some more out, maybe 1mg then left it. Hopefully it will bring back some supression this week before going up to 5mg next week 🙏

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 11/04/2025 18:24

AgnethaF · 11/04/2025 14:34

Just taken 5th jab. Tried, and failed to get the golden dose from my first pen. Have moved up to 5mg. Have noticed my hunger/saiety has decreased this week.

plus no weight loss this week, so a bit disappointed as have been sticking to approx 1200 Cals per day. I’ve not “been” since Wednesday. Any natural laxative or softener recommendations?

my turkey neck is looking extremely wrinkly. Any thoughts on lotions and potions? Or possibly collagen?

I've just bought collagen from Nutrition geeks, who knows if it helps??

The best thing you could use to help ‘wrinkles’ is retinol, you have to start on the weakest one and alternate days at first then slowly build up as your skin tolerates it. You also HAVE to use SPF every day which all ladies should be doing anyway 👀🤣 I use SPF 50 every day, even in winter. I’m 41 and not a wrinkle yet 🤞🏼🙏🏼 I use retinol on my face and neck.

NSV...weve just had a Chinese takeaway, I had about a third of my pre mounjaro portion and really enjoyed it....and this is the nsv...I'm sat here after dinner with it on the table next to me and I'm not picking at it! I seriously believe mounjaro is changing something in my brain to make me not fussed about food. Ive had a small portion of takeaway, I really enjoyed it I'm sure my taste buds have come alive more on MJ, and now I'm satisfied and not needing to secretly pick at leftovers.
If this is how normal people feel about food it's no wonder so many people don't understand obesity!

Christmashope19 · 11/04/2025 19:35

Week 3 day 5 and I have had a sicky feeling since yesterday
Also feeling a bit emotional and tired so going to have an early night and hope I wake up tomorrow feeling better
1st time I have felt sick since starting

Amjam2025 · 11/04/2025 19:47

@Crikeyalmighty yeah, I'd like to initially get to 9 stone 4lb to put me at healthy bmi and then go from there (maybe then aim for the 8 stone something) but those 10lb I've got left to loose seem impossible at the mo!

Went to the pub these evening, ordered cheese sandwich and fries but only ate half of it , didnt feel full but just knew i had to stop😬

Love this group btw, so supportive and motivating :)

I weigh everyday because I find it helpful to see how daily intake/exercise affects my weight. But the weight day that I actually record is a Monday am, so after the weekend, which was always my downfall. I jab on a Thursday evening for max weekend suppression. So weigh day for me isn't jab day.

I weigh every day too. It's quite interesting to see it fluctuate. But it did worry me when I gained so much during TOTM. Thankfully it seems to be back down again and now I know for next month

cmh18 · 11/04/2025 20:41

My weight loss has definitely stalled, so I've done my 6th dose tonight and done 3.75mg, all my previous ones have been 2.5. Hopefully this will get my weight loss gping again, fingers crossed the side effects don't come back!!

Choirgirl699 · 11/04/2025 21:36

CallMeStella · 11/04/2025 09:57

You’ve just changed my mind about my next order, I was going to stick with 2.5 but with the 5mg I can either dose for twice as long or slowly increase as needed.

I keep my pen in the fridge and there’s nothing I’ve seen about it being less effective if open for 2 months, I may do a little googling now however to be sure

Look at the risk associated with piercing the red bit multiple times and the greater chance of sepsis. Every time you inject a tiny bit of blood can go into the pen. MJ has preservatives in it tested to 30 days to counter any risk but this reduces.

I wouldn't risk keeping it for 2 months, 35 days maybe....

BeaTwix · 11/04/2025 21:44

Ok I'm Week 5 Day 2

@Twinsandsome I had very little MJ effect in weeks 3 & 4 and was ravenously hungry. I did lose weight but really not very much. Gone up to 5mg and things are better. I was sick this AM - lots of undigested food. Went for dinner last night and probably didn't make good choices.

Appetite rubbish today - I ate about two mouthfuls of my lunch.

I really want to shift the last 300g of my first stone loss (don't you love mixing two measuring systems!).

Oooh I didn’t consider that aspect of it, I’ll have a look into it but when I think of those dosing twice a week the risk must be similar. They’re of course only using the pen for 30 days instead of potentially 60 which I suggested 🤔

Thanks for bringing it to my attention though ☺️

soupforbrains · 11/04/2025 21:52

I decided to ‘creep’ my injection day earlier. Originally I am a Saturday jab day. The last 2 weeks I’ve done split dosing, so injected a half dose on Saturday and Tuesday. Since the 3 day gap was working well and I’ve not had the side effects I injected my next half dose today as I’d like to eventually go back to a once a week jab and move it so that IF the SEs come back it won’t be ruining my weekend. So ultimately I’m going to half dose every 3 days for a little and then stick to a Thursday and Sunday jab pattern (eventually going back to a weekly Thursday jab day).

I can’t really decide how to do my weigh ins. Because it will mess up the pattern but I guess I started my new ‘week’ dose wise today so I’ll bring my weigh in forward a day too.

SW:19st10
CW:18st3
GW:11st7

I lost 2lb this week. Which brings me to the mini milestone of another half stone lost. So I’ve lost 21lb/ 1.5stone now. In 6 weeks. Granted it’s not the astonishing 6lb a week I had at the very start but I never expected that and so long as the scales keep trending downwards I am happy even if it’s only 1-2lbs a week. ESPECIALLY when it hasnt felt hard at all.

love hearing all the NSVs congrats to everyone.

Wow that’s an incredible amount to lose in such a short time! I hope you start to notice it soon in how you look and your clothes!

well done girlie 💪🏼

Our goal weight and amount we need to lose is very similar so it’s nice to follow how you’re doing

Sloelydoesit · 12/04/2025 00:43

NSV. I went out tonight to the local pub. I am still fat obviously but I didn't feel like a lump. Also current clothes feel a bit looser.

Timescale - I am on week 4. Going up to 5 next week. Jab day Monday

Choirgirl699 · 12/04/2025 08:54

End of wk6 weigh in.

SW 12st6lb

Wk 4 -2lb

Well, there's definitely a pattern with my weight loss, a steady and maintainable 2lb loss every week-ha! So close to 1 stone loss since starting!

If I carry on at this rate then I'll be 10st7lb when I go on holiday in May (lowest weight in 8 years)and GW by the summer holiday! Fingers crossed. Will be into see body shape as I've had a c-section since my lowest weight.

Jab day (7) moved to Thursday and I increased to 3.3mg. I'll inject 3.75mg this Thursday.

CFCmum · 12/04/2025 08:59

Well done on all the loses and NSV’s

Week 6 d1 jab last night. I have moved on to a 5mg pen but only doing 3.75
sw 14st 12.4 lbs
cw. 13st 5.2lbs

very happy to have lost 1.5 stone in 6 weeks but fear I may have to stop! The last three times I have injected I have been getting injection site reactions that are very itchy and are red for about 3 days before going to what looks like a bruise. I can still see the one from 3 weeks ago!
changed to my thigh this week and been taking antihistamines but it’s still happening.

MrsAlwaysRight · 12/04/2025 09:47

Morning everyone,

Jab number 7 for me today. Did 3.75 last week so will do same again today as suppression has been excellent.

SW 1st March 13.10
CW 13.1

Really hoping to get into next stone bracket next week 🤞

Fairislesweater · 12/04/2025 10:06

How long do you think would be reasonable to do between injections? I did eight days last time as I still had good suppression. Took my first 5mg, am now on day 8 and due my second but don’t feel I need it yet. How long is too long? Anyone gone longer?

Wouldratherbewatchingmafs · 12/04/2025 10:47

Omg I decided to change my mind and do a first week at 5mg, and wow, the suppression is strong. The idea of food is making me feel ill. Really hope I don't regret this decision 😕
I suppose I can go back to 2.5mg/3.75mg next Friday if needed.
Hope everyone is enjoying this amazing April weather!!!

Week 8:

Whilst I’m really pleased that I’m now under 200lbs and I’m still not really tempted by snacking or overly affected by side effects, recording my weight on a Saturday morning means that I’m usually going to have a higher weight from our Friday night takeaway/meal out carbs but it all evens out early next week. Daily weighing helps me recognise that this is normal and not to be disheartened.

For me, being on Mounjaro doesn’t feel like a diet to lose weight; it does feel like a diet to improve eating habits as I spend much more time focusing on protein, fibre and water rather than thinking about calories (but I’d still love to see greater losses 😀).

TheBossOfMe · 12/04/2025 11:48

Annoyingly small amount of weight loss so far this week - which is entirely because I've eaten out a lot again (super busy work week with lots of client events). I'm trying to think about it being a victory that I haven't gained rather than anything else - last night was a super lovely dinner at Ivy Asia on the King's Road, and usually I'd have really troughed everything in sight, but I found it really easy to leave food untouched (including the rice, which is a miracle, I normally can't say no to rice!). Plus I have my period and am a bit puffy with water retention, so maybe just that. And another NSV - I wore a dress last night that I wouldn't have even contemplated wearing last summer because it clings to every lump and bump on my stomach. I needed a shapewear slip, but it looked great on and I felt amazing in it!

SW 10st 4.6lb/144.6lb BMI 25.7 (prescribed MJ because of diabetes risk and hideous waist measurement)
CW 9st 7.4lb/133.4lb BMI 23.6 - 11.2lb down, 42.1% of target achieved. (Still overweight because of ethnicity)
GW 8st 6lb/118lb (26.6lb total target loss, 15.4lb to go) BMI 20.9 (low BMI advised as target by doctor)

Loss by week:
W1 5.5lb
W2 1.3lb
W3 0.7lb
W4 3.3lb
W5 so far (weigh day is Monday) 0.4lb

I need to keep focussing on those NSVs as well as the scales because it can be disheartening to have smaller losses or a plateau

Chocolatecakewithsprinkles · 12/04/2025 14:14

Week 4 here apparently put on 1lb hoping it's just totm because i haven't snacked or overeaten. Jabbed Thursday feel starving and cold, could gladly eat anything (i won't) part of me had considered using another 2.5ml out of the golden dose on Monday as if i micro dosed 5ml but it's probably a bad idea so i won't just think i will move up to 5ml this week instead of doing the golden for an extra week. Well done to everyone still going strong!

I agree with this about the change in eating habits
Previous calorie counting diets just involve me saving calories for chocolate and crisps.

This time it feels like I am actually fuelling myself with good for me food.

Also o take into consideration that as you are on the lower end of BMI that the weight loss might be smaller as a 1% of a twice as heavy person is much more than 1% of your weight as such I would focus more on the % towards your goal and by the looks you are doing amazing despite the odd big meals ☺️
