4 weeks into my journey. Yesterday was a more challenging day because I had a family lunch with my sister and two cousins, pub Sunday roast, which isn't exactly a light calorie option. I stuck to eating a chicken leg, the green veg and mahoosive Yorkshire pudding - left the roast potatoes and root vegetables, but that took real willpower, as did saying no to pudding!
It was a huge wakeup call for me to see them - all three of them are diabetic, and reminded me that all of our three fathers were as well, T2 diabetes. And all three of them have real health issues as a result. That's what I need to prevent - it was a bit scary listening to them talking about how diabetes and their weight is really impacting their life.
SW 10st 4.6lb/144.6lb BMI 25.7 (prescribed MJ because of diabetes risk and hideous waist measurement)
CW 9st 7.8lb/133.8lb BMI 23.7 - 10.8lb down, 40.6% of target achieved. (Still overweight because of ethnicity)
GW 8st 6lb/118lb (26.6lb total target loss, 15.8lb to go) BMI 20.9 (low BMI advised as target by doctor)
Loss by week:
W1 5.5lb
W2 1.3lb
W3 0.7lb
W4 3.3lb
Super, super pleased with that, it's a week when I had several meals out and busy at work so grabbing food on the go a bit, which can be a bit of a downfall. Moving my jab day to a Thursday definitely worked better though, I know a lot of people want least suppression at the weekend so they can enjoy a social life, but for me it's the opposite, I need max suppression on Fri/Sat/Sun so I don't undo all the good of the week.
First proper NSV. I have a beautiful pair of satin backed crepe white trousers - absolutely love them and look really elegant in them (so vain!). Last summer I couldn't even get them on, let alone do them up. I'm wearing them today for a formal work event this evening. Teeny tiny bit tight on the waist, but OMG it felt so good putting them on and zipping them up!!!!
