Good luck over the next few weeks. Loving all the ongoing support and encouragement.

Is anyone using medicine marketplace for their mounjaro? I’m tempted to switch from medexpress as I really need to move up to 7.5mg and it’s so much cheaper but it seems a hassle to switch

I'm with simple online pharmacy because they price match to medicine marketplace but simple's postage is cheaper.

It's not a faff at all, just a front and side picture and a picture of the last box to show you're already on it.

Morning lovelies, weigh in day for me. Still following the pattern of dipping down lower in the week, then coming back up for weigh in! All going in the right direction though.

SW: 15.5
CW: 14.1
TW: 11.5

Average loss after initial ‘whoosh’ is 2 lbs per week so that seems a good rate of loss to me. I’d really like to see the 13’s this week - that would be amazing!

3rd 5mg jab due tonight. I think I’ll be going up to 7.5mg next - I’m tolerating 5mg really well, and notice that by day 6, the effects are wearing off. Definitely ate more (although well) yesterday.

I hope everyone has a good week! 🌷

Weigh in day and decision time
SW 16st 2
1st dose 15st 9
2nd dose 15st 0
3rd dose 14st 9
4th dose 14st 6
CW 14st 3
So I’ve done my four 2.5mg doses and need to do a 5th dose today. I’ve got a 5mg pen sitting in the fridge and I’m not sure whether to do the full 5 or do something lower. Lost 3lbs this week so still moving in the right direction. Would love to see a 13 at the start - maybe next week. But nearly 2 stone off (7lbs was from pre mounjaro dieting) is great to see

billysboy · 23/03/2025 08:47

Weigh in day and second 5mg dose
I have lost about half a stone which has been great but not looking forward to the nausea which hangs around for a couple of days

Ohsoverytired11 · 23/03/2025 10:24

Week 7 starts today. Taken my second dose of 3.75mg.

2.6lb off this week! 16.2lb in total. I got past the 1st mark!

SW (9th Feb) 14st 2.6lb
CW (23rd Mar) 13st 0.4lb

Delighted with the loss so far. I feel so much better for it. Hoping to make it into the 12s next week!

getthingsdone · 23/03/2025 11:58

I went swimming this morning, 1km in a very relaxed pace. The pool was wonderful: not crowded, warm enough. I'm feeling great, but starving!

ctrlaltdelete1 · 23/03/2025 12:25

First 5mg taken last night. Not feeling great today. Tummy is unsettled and very burpy. Really hoping it settles!!

Only a pound off this week so:

SW: 263
CW: 254.8

A gazillion more to go…

So took my fifth dose last Thursday, I stuck with 2.5 mg as I get huge suppression and get full so fast.

But this week despite still getting good suppression the scale hasn’t shifted at all. I have been calorie counting the last few days and actually ended eating some fruit to up my count as I am struggling to eat tbh. Could I be eating too little? Drinking plenty of water, veggies, fruit fish etc.

I have read on here, possibly on another thread people talking about a Whoosh? Could I be on a plateau and my body will catch up next week?

Anyone else had this, don’t want to go higher as I am struggling to eat as it is. Got up today with have zero hunger. had a light lunch and now feel full to busting its mad really.

I am not constipated either so no clue why things have stopped at the mo

Are you due your period? That's my guess. I wouldn't worry. Often people find they lose inches during a plateau as their body is redistributing.

I not longer have periods as post menopause, but I think it must be some kind of plateau I hope

Warmautumnbreeze · 23/03/2025 15:41

I only lost a lb last week despite feeling slimmer and lighter. I measured myself today and have actually lost 5cm off my waist and 1cm off my hips and upper arm in 10 days.

Feeling really hungry today, even though been out for a carvery with the family so thought I'd feel full for the rest of the day. Starting 5mg tmrw night (prob gonna do 3.75 for the first one).

buffyangel · 23/03/2025 15:42

Just a thought for those like me who have days they don't feel like eating at all.
I have a few go-to options for days like these:
Apple with 2 teaspoons peanut butter
Cereal - any cereal really if that is all I can face - with skimmed milk
Porridge made with water and some blueberries or apple on top
Scambled egg or omlette made with water
Plain or vanilla Greek 0% fat yoghurt
I have a few others if anyone is interested.
And for days when I miss chocolate I have discovered:
Sweet Freedom Choc Shot. Made from natural fruit extracts it has a rich chocolate taste and can be used to drizzle over fruit, porridge etc or stirred in to make a hot chocolate drink - 13 calories per teaspoon.

HangryGreenGoose · 23/03/2025 16:45

I took my first 5mg dose on Wednesday, I have not had any side effects. But have struggled as I have had no appetite at all, been drinking plenty of water but have also had a few protein milkshakes to get something into me. Has anyone else notice full suppression?

LawMR · 23/03/2025 16:49

Hi everyone,
About to start my first dose.
Anyone else taking sertraline?
Thanks

Fairyflaps · 23/03/2025 16:55

2 weeks of no weight loss, and feeling all the side effects after taking my first 5mg dose yesterday - can't get warm, tired and wiped out, and nauseous, and eggy burps.
Next weekend I have a long car journey as well as a day's cookery course. I will struggle with both those if I feel like I do now, so I'm toying with not taking the full dose that week.

Slowrunning · 23/03/2025 17:12

I took my 9th injection yesterday and after 3 weeks of increasing nausea on 5mg I decided to count clicks and take 3.75mg out of the 5mg pen.

I am so chuffed to report that I have had no issues at all this weekend. The last 2 Sundays I have been completely wiped out and I was quite anxious about that happening again.

I had no side effects on 2.5mg (apart from the ubiquitous coldness and some manageable constipation) so the nausea at 5mg was a nasty shock!

sweetpickle2 · 23/03/2025 17:18

I’m debating moving my injection up a day. Has anyone done this? How risky is it?

Do you meaning having it one day early? If so, as a rare occurrence, my doctor has said it’s fine

HappyPie82 · 23/03/2025 18:15

Had an awful first week on 5mg. Liquid bowel movements from day three onwards.
improved only today by taking fybogel for the last two days. Was googling fecal impaction it’s been so bad.
sulphur burps were hideous too.
just taken second jab into thigh. For some reason decided to stab into our thigh rather than fat inner thigh and it’s now made a bubble under my skin, maybe accidentally intramuscular 😬 hope it still works as 1stone down since mid Feb I don’t want to go backwards

You had 4 days of liquid bowel movement which only improved today and yet you took another 5mg dose today? That’s brave. You know every week the max amount in your body increases due to the drug having a half life of 5 days.

Of course it could just be a coincidence you have been ill this week and it was just a regular bug but I wouldn’t have taken anything higher than 3.75 this week and would probably have delayed a day or two before taking this week’s dose.

If you read the instruction leaflet it says you can move the injection date by 3 or 4 days. Taking it 24 hours early is fine.

sweetpickle2 · 23/03/2025 19:05

Yeah I mean starting to take it on a Monday rather than a Tuesday- thanks for confirming this would be okay!

aylis · 23/03/2025 19:31

First 5mg yesterday and I've been so out of sorts today. I don't know whether it's the jag or if I'm coming down with something but I've been so, so tired that I got up after 9am this morning and went back to bed for a nap at 2pm and didn't get up again until 6.30pm. Had some toast and fruit and now going to get my daughter showered for school in the morning and get back into bed. Feel absolutely gubbed and very much feeling that digestion has slowed right down. First day I've not hit my 10,000 steps in weeks.

No other real side effects to report except that my resting heart rate is back up again, it's currently at 91 and all I'm doing is sitting here. I've been quite lucky with side effects and have continued to inject into my thigh for that reason.

Hangryfastjo · 23/03/2025 19:49

@HangryGreenGoose I took my first 5mg last Monday. Felt like complete suppression and it didn't feel great. So much so I've just eaten what I fancy when I fancy it. Stopped having my morning/afternoon coffee as this filled me and prevented me from eating food, which then left me nauseous. On Friday I made an effort to eat little and often and few extra carbs and this seemed to sort me. Felt better quite quickly.
However still getting full very quickly.
2nd 5mg jab tomorrow. I'm going to do the 5 and hope that the side effects start levelling out, if not I feel a little better prepared.
I had none on 2.5, and went up as I was using willpower over food noise.
