Mounjaro Feb 2025 starters (thread 4!)

Has anyone seen a badger? I’ve lost one!

@HangryGreenGoose @Hangryfastjo Me too. I’ve felt completely uninterested in food on 5mg. Full all the time and even swigs of water has left me feeling nauseous. I’ve just taken my 3rd 5mg jab two days late as I didn’t want to be feeling sick in work at the weekend and I’ve noticed that the full feeling has definitely lessened as the week has gone on. I’m considering sticking with 5mg for my next pen.

@WelshRarebit18 @HangryGreenGoose I've only had the one 5mg jab, (2nd tomorrow) and I've already decided to stick to 5mg for my next pen!

The bubble under the skin is perfectly fine, the liquid will just absorb slowly into the fat layer.

@LawMR I think it was you that asked about the sertraline. I'm on that too, 100mg , and now on week 7 of mounjaro and been fine. If anyhing I've felt calmer and less anxious. I also have propanalol to take when going to a stressful situation and haven't taken it once since I started this mounjaro. It really is a wonder drug.

For those feeling rubbish on week one of 5mg, I did too l. Really out of sorts but 2nd week on 5 felt totally different. Back to 'normal' :)

Just to jump on this, I am also on 100mg of Sertraline and have been absolutely fine mentally so far. I’m on W4, and no negative side effects in that area.

@Slowrunning I will try counting clicks to 3.75 for my next dose. I won't be able to feel this rubbish next weekend.

After 2 pretty dreadful weekends I have felt fine today, not able to eat much (and probably a bit anxious about feeling sick) but the 3.75mg has been good for me. Fingers crossed it is better for you too 🤞

I've been introduced to sulphur burps this morning. Oh man 😫

Weigh day for me, starting W5 6th jab later as forgot this morning. Probably going to do 3.75mg for two weeks as 5mg gave me a lot of side effects.

SW - 187lb
CW - 177lb
TW - 155ish

10lb in 4 weeks, I’m happy with that. Feel so much better than I did 4 weeks ago. Loving life again.

I’m halfway through week 6. I injected 4mg this week ( 3mg last week, 2.5 mg all before that) in hopes of working my way up to 5.

This weekend has been difficult on 4mg. I’ve had all the side effects, but the nausea is the worst. Barely managed 1000 cals a day, and none of it enjoyable.

Yesterday I was so light headed, I had electrolytes and have been drinking protein shakes just to get something in me.

I’m going back down to 2.5 mg next jab. I had good weight loss and actually good suppression but I was still hungry enough to eat healthy food. And I’m moving my jab day from Friday to Monday as I’ve been useless the past few weekends and my weekdays are quieter.

Morning all! An observation! I put my birkenstick sandals on this am and they feel too big! You know how they kind of mould to the foot! I'll try tightening them later but I didn't even think of my feet reducing in size!
Also I'm finding bending doen to put socks on etc so much easier already!

Only a 1lb this week. A little gutted as I wanted the stone 🤣🤣

I've been thinking this morning I need to change my language around "only 1lb" going forward. Try and re set my brian. It might be 1 lb but it's 1lb gone!

I'm also trying to focus on nsv too. Clothes are definitely looser, I can zip up and sit down in my big winter coat, my once a week workouts are getting easier and I can bend now without my knees screaming at me 🤣

I'm about to go up to 5mg and I'm little apprehensive after some of the stories on here but hey ho, onwards and downwards.

I can get my eternity ring on!! I haven't been able to get that on in well over 10 years!!!

Gastro-resistant capsules help with the sulphur burps for anyone else with them. Took one and hour ago and they've stopped.

I'm due to take dose 9 tonight, still on 2.5

So 1stone 3 in 9 weeks, I'm happy with that. Will take my golden dose of 2.5 next week then starting on 5. I'm a bit apprehensive about going up to 5 so if it disagrees with me I might just take 3.75. will play it by ear. I get the sulphur burbs for a couple of days after injecting and apart from that I've had a pretty easy ride.

Got back from my foodie break in Cornwall last night.

Weight-wise, I've maintained, which makes me happy!

I did enjoy some delicious food whilst away as well. Generally only two meals a day, plus a couple of glasses of wine on two of the days. A couple of times I had two starters rather than a starter and a main course. No puddings and no extra side dishes. I felt full quite easily but not to the extent that I couldn't enjoy some of my favourite restaurants. Probably did help that it was almost exclusvely fish dishes!

Hey I have just seen this thread. I’ve been on it since 3rd Feb and Im about to order 3rd pen - 7.5mg.
I’ve gone from 12st 10 to 11 st 8 so am really pleased as I usually struggle like hell to lose. Im only 5ft 2.5 so I want to lose another stone at least and am panicking about how much it’s costing me.
I had a referral for medexpress and can refer people of there is anyone who wants a code so we both save money - or does anyone have tips on how I can save money off my next injection?

Late to the party….

I am on week 6. 5mg now and tbh I still don’t feel the appetite suppression is there apart further about 24 hours after the injection.
ive lost a bit of weight but not much. It’s really frustrating to to see the numbers stayed depressingly stable.

Has anyone regretted sticking at 2.5 for a second pen? I felt good at 2.5 so decided to do a second pen at that dose, but suppression has definitely weakened and I'm starting to wish I'd just moved up as expected. I haven't fallen completely off of the rails but the urge to snack has been creeping in and I haven't seen much of a loss as a result.

Don't know why I'm complaining as it's too late now, just need to practice some restraint and get through the next three weeks!

Ah great thank you. Thats really useful to have. Maybe I’ll see if medexpress will price match …

It's worth an ask- I'm with Juniper and when I went to cancel after my first pen as it was too expensive for the second they offered me a discount.

I have ordered 3 pens and have changed suppliers for each one, it’s super easy. I use that chart and access the best discounts.
