The extra dose is pretty easy to do, (and I’m a squeamish wimp!) the dose is 0.6 on my syringes it’s 60 (equivalent to 0.6) I did link a video which was quite helpful quite a while back. I will see if I can find it for you.
Im also still on 2.5, sounds like a very similar journey to yours.

Thanks. I started mounjaro 6th Feb and have lost 1 stone 11.4 which I'm over moon with.
Iv been watching what I eat and exercising too. The problem I'm having now is because I'm now at 27.9 BMI I'm struggling to find a pharmacy that will let me buy the pen, even though I'm still classed as overweight. I managed to do the 5th dose and no side effects so far ( did it this afternoon )

ivegotthekeyivegotthesecret · 13/04/2025 20:37

Sharing this clicks by dose table for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.
Look away now anyone who strictly follows the rules.

Have you tried one of the pharmacies that have clear maintenance plans (Ouskh, pharmulous, Cloud etc) they may be more receptive. I'm sure I've read of people switching even when they have a BMI under 25.

sweetpickle2 · 13/04/2025 22:14

Have been feeling quite trim and confident all week- then today someone took a candid photo of me and I felt I look horribly bloated and chubby! Objectively I know I look slimmer than I did 2 months ago because I’ve lost weight and my clothes are too big, but it’s a) made me realise how big I must have looked before and b) really hardened my resolve to have a good week!

sc0ttishlass · 13/04/2025 22:27

@SweetPeaGirl I'm thr same today funnily enough. We are on holiday and I had some pics taken when out on a walk and how I looked in the photos isn't how I've been seeing myself in the mirror for the last few weeks. I've still got a long way to go and I'll get there, was just a momentary downer that I still didn't look slim and more importantly healthy in the pic x

MissionToSize10 · 13/04/2025 22:30

Week 4 of 5mg and took it Friday but feeling so full. Im struggling to eat! When i do i just feel sick 🤢

Nicecuppatea2025 · 13/04/2025 22:59

@sweetpickle2 I had the same too. Looked at myself in a recent picture and realised I look so big still in comparison to my friends. And that’s with the 2.5 stone loss! I would really like not to look the odd one out anymore!

To MJ users in Ireland it is much cheaper to buy it in a pharmacy in Northern Ireland. They will accept an original script from a GP or hospital. My 5mg pen was approx €170 (when converted from sterling) the previous MJ pen in Dublin was €315!!!

PandaPeacock · 14/04/2025 06:27

Just did my first 5ml jab and the sulphur burps are intense! Otherwise no side effects so far but can anyone please explain why the sulphur burps are happening?

Morning, aren't they grim?! For me, Ive had them twice, and always close to jab day and due to dodgy food choices. Since digestion slows down the bacteria and gases can build up in the digestive system I believe?
Pepto bismal definitely helped!

CallIpswichNow · 14/04/2025 07:12

I had the burps yesterday too for the first time, after eating a mini version of the cooked breakfast others here were having. I was okay for a few hours but couldn’t eat anything else all day, and the burps started in late evening. Cracked open the Pepto-Bismol — it’s foul stuff. But it did help.

Won’t be doing that again!

MynameisJune · 14/04/2025 07:56

Morning all!

Jab day today, 5mg has been fine for me so far just taken my 3rd 5mg and no side effects apart from constipation but I’ve suffered with that all along and have it controlled with lactulose and magnesium supplements.

SW - 187lb
CW - 173lb
GW - 147lbish
height 5’8

Totally still feel the pain of seeing yourself in a picture and it not matching up to the image in your head.

Also I can’t remember the poster further up who is struggling to find a pharmacy under BMI of 27. Mine is now 26, when I switched I had to lie on the initial consultation forms on the websites and then when the pharmacy messaged me I sent proof that I’d been on MJ since Feb. Plus what my BMI was then as I have kept my original pictures I sent to my first supplier and they had the date on them.

You should be okay to switch if you’ve been on MJ since before 27. My BMI when I started was 27.9 but I do have PCOS.

Zibb · 14/04/2025 08:00

I had a really bad week last week. Bad food choices, no exercise, barely slept, didn't drink enough water, just not taking care of myself. Been down and very overwhelmed.

So this week is a maintain for me. Disappointed but obviously not surprised.

Woke up with stomach cramps, feel like I'm being ripped in half if I try to stand up straight. Gross burps too.

So I need to draw a line. Get back to looking after myself now because I feel rough right now 🤢

Off to work now but I'll be going for a walk after and maybe I'll do a short workout from YouTube as well. Then something light and nutritious for dinner.

SW 13st 11lb
CW 12st 2lb (bmi 28)
total loss = 23lb over 10 weeks

I took my first 7.5mg dose yesterday after stalling last week and gaining a couple of pounds. I don’t calorie count. I rarely have breakfast so naturally fast from about 8pm until 1pm the following day. My best results are when I have 2 meals a day and zero snacking in between. Fortunately, I don’t get the dreaded sulphur burps or any other side effects apart from constipation which is just about manageable.

Back in Feb I set myself a goal of 12 stone for the end of April when I’ve got a big family wedding; I’m definitely on target for that and it would be great to be in the 11s by then even by just 1lb. The weird thing is that not one single person has noticed that I’ve lost weight even though I’ve dropped at least 1-2 dress sizes.

Probablyawake · 14/04/2025 08:41

Morning!
Just done my first 7.5mg jab. Fingers crossed to continue with no side effects😬
1st 12lbs down after 10 shots so feeling good. First time putting my weight on here 🙈...
SW 23st 2lbs
CW 21st 4lbs
Long way to go though. Down a dress size or two to 20/22 from size 24.
Hope everyone else is feeling ok 😃

Hangryfastjo · 14/04/2025 08:51

Does not drinking enough slow down the weightloss? Mine has slowed down and I'm aware I'm not drinking enough. I suppose all I need to do is up my fluid intake and see 🤣

Well done, Probablyawake! I'm also doing this with a high starting weight (132,5 kg = almost 21 stone, now down to 121 kg = 19 stone). It will take me a while to reach a healthy weight, I know, but I'm already feeling so much better already.
Hope to read more about your weight loss experience!

SW 16 st 4
CW 14 st 1
GW 12 st

week 10 for me. Second 7.5jab over the weekend and still feeling fine. Weight loss slower but definitely not drinking enough water…

Ashabeth · 14/04/2025 10:34

Oh the nausea! 😩
I did my first 7.5mg jab yesterday afternoon.
Before it had taken effect I had a roast chicken dinner (still much smaller than my usual portion 7 no trimmings)… Overnight I had some indigestion which I could live with but this morning I woke up feeling soooo sick! I have a light lunch and dinner planned (small chicken salad lunch and fish with spring greens dinner) so hopefully I'll be feeling more comfortable by then and will stomach them ok.

I was disappointed by the food noise creeping back in on 5mg so I guess there's a blessing in there 😅

hennybeans · 14/04/2025 10:44

Week 9 for me.
SW 124.5
CW 113.8
TL 10.7kg (23.5 lb)

I’m working my way up to 5mg. Injected 4.17 mg ((50 clicks) today. Taking it slowly because of side effects- nausea and fatigue mainly.

I’m happy with my weight loss. Shotsy tells me I’m 23% through to my goal weight of 78kg. I reckon I’ll get there roughly around Christmas time.

skyscrapersinging · 14/04/2025 11:52

Jab day no.#11, still on 5mg.

SW 89.2kg
CW 79.3kg
GW 72kg

Have had both NSVs and SVs this week. Only small loss (600gm), but this takes me to JUST under 10kg lost (missed it by 100gm!). Have had to buy new trousers, one size smaller and new bras- a cup size and a band size smaller.

I have a phone call with my provider this afternoon though, as am about to be under 25 BMI. They’ve already prescribed one more pen at 5mg, but I’m wondering what they will do after that. (Numan), not sure if they’ll support me all the way to 72kg, which would be BMI of 23 for me. Anyone else thinking/worrying about next steps?

Contact one of the providers who offer maintenance and swap (Ouskh, Pharmulous, Cloud etc). Pretty certain all that I've listed will.take people inder 25 BMI with a view providing maintenance dosing. There are other maintenance providers out there, monj.co.uk has a maintenance section, well worth a look.

@ExplodingCarrots I got these ones — I think I was following someone else’s rec on these threads. medbasic.co.uk/bd-micro-fine-30g-1ml-syringes-needles/?attribute_pa_quantity=10

Thank you . Think I'll have a go at the end of this pen because I'm going to stick with 7.5mg for a while .

strongermummy · 14/04/2025 16:00

Jab 7 was lastnight, 2nd on 5mg
Sunday 14 April
SW. 79kg (BMI 30 obese)
CW 72.7kg (BMI 27.4 overweight)
Total loss 6.3kgs (8%)

GW 60kgs (BMI 23 healthy / total loss would be 19kgs = 24%!)

@skyscrapersinging
I too am considering which pharmacy to use for maintenance. please keep us posted on where you end up.
I am Currently using pharmacy2u and I have a delivery from Zava in the fridge (they were much cheaper but took too long to arrange last time so made an emergency dash back to P2u!)

In other news suppression has kicked in and I just had a sandwich and could not finish it. Did not have breakfast today so this is a surprise!

On the fitness front…..
have completed 10 weight training sessions with a PT today. Considering whether to rebook for a further 10 or try to go it alone with Apple Fitness for Company or trying the C25K again…. C25K made a huge difference to my fitness levels when I did it in lockdown hence considering it!

what are other people doing?

TBF its a bit of a win not to have put anything on after a bad week, onwards and downwards on the scale lol
