Welcome to thread 2 never thought we would be posting so much that we have to start a new thread.

I am still hovering around 12 and a half stone. I have been absolutely freezing to the point I have a duvet on the sofa.

I have had one NSV so far I can zip up my boots and they do not feel tight anymore.

Jab 3 today, 2 weeks in. I believe I've lost about 2kg, that's what our ancient scales showed on Saturday, but they have now given up the ghost!

Still, 1kg a week would be fine with me.

Whereissummer24 · 31/03/2025 12:09

W2D6 here - have been side effect free until now! i've been eating a brunch and then dinner each day. Just ate and feel so ill - rumbling stomach, watery mouth the lot. So bizarre

So we are very similar!
I am just a wee touch smaller than you in height with a starting weight of 11 stone

@MJMabel and @Christmashope19 I'm also 4foot11 (sometimes 5 foot depending on tape measure) and your starting weights are my goal weight 😱

I started MJ 10 days ago at 14stone7 and lost 3 pounds in the first week so I'm currently 14-4 🙂 my goal is 11-6 but really it needs to be 9-6 but that feels impossible ATM

@MJMabel I'm also wondering about oushk I'm currently with Asda and happy so far but I'm interested in the oushk maintenance plans. I looked online and it said it is £114 a moth for maintenance that sounds very reasonable!

SharpOpalNewt · 31/03/2025 12:20

Felt slightly queasy (for the first time since Saturday on 5mg) an hour ago after I ate two packets of Hula Hoops- go figure! Now I just feel quite full (started well with avo on toast!) and probably won't eat until late afternoon. I always feel like crisps on a Monday morning so just go with it.

I usually have something >two hours before yoga class, about 5pm - tends to be high protein granola, berries and high protein yogurt - and then one egg scrambled on one slice of toast after as it's 7.45pm to 8.45pm. Seems to work better than either full dinner before (bit farty and bloated in yoga class) or after (feel too late to eat properly). What I actually make the family for dinner (tends to be veggie pasta on Monday) I take into work for Tuesday lunch instead.

I'm still having 1400-1500 calories and losing steadily on that.

MJMabel · 31/03/2025 12:23

I agree @Fatmumslim01 it’s not too bad a price, and I am concerned about losing weight, coming off the injections, and then yo-yoing up again, so having the maintenance option makes sense.

So far so good with Oushk, I put in my application late last night and they’ve reviewed it and confirmed already, I should get it on Friday.

I'm planning on moving to these guys for maintenance. Reviews seem to be good. ( I am a long way away form maintenance at the mo!!)

Lollzi86 · 31/03/2025 12:27

W4 D7 and so far 6.9 kgs off in 4 weeks so very happy with that! Was my birthday over the weekend so had a few drinks but was still disciplined with food apart from yesterday at Mother’s Day lunch all starters were either something I was allergic to or sold out so I had to have pate. Well did I know about that last night!!! Sick as a pig 🐽. So back on water and chicken today lol. Going up to 5mg tonight but if it knocks me poorly I’ll do 3.75 next week.

So is it £114 a month? What dose are you on. I'm paying £180 with Asda for 2.5 but I like the fact I can collect on store whereas someone like oushk comes in tbe post and I won't want my kids seeing it in the post when they are home before me etc

MJMabel · 31/03/2025 13:06

I paid £113 for 2.5mg from Oushk, that was using a first time customer discount code. When my pharmacy2u pen arrived the packaging was completely plain, so I’d hope Oushk would be as well, although that’s no use if the kids will just see a package and be interested in what’s in it regardless!

Twinsandsome · 31/03/2025 13:36

My pattern seems to be I get a bad stomach on the Monday after taking on a Saturday night and feeling fine on a Sunday.

It’s rumbly and crampy and feels like I need the toilet but yet can’t go to the toilet. I’m a long time sufferer of constipation and when I used to take dulcolax for it I dreaded the days after as I had this feeling and that’s Excatly what I feel like on day one after jabbing x

28Spring · 31/03/2025 14:17

To all those suffering from bad side effects, particularly nausea meaning you can’t consume enough calories so have no energy etc, I was feeling like this and did a bit of research- first thing would be to decrease your dose, so if you’re on 2.5 then just do 30 clicks of your pen to get 1.25 and secondly, there has been some research to say the injection site can make a marginal difference, so in the stomach it’s absorbed into the blood stream quicker and can have stronger appetite suppression BUT can also have stronger side effects, particularly nausea. So try half a dose in the thigh and see how you get on…I found a PP’s link to Dr Kevin Joseph on YouTube so watched some of his videos (thank you whoever that was!) useful one on supplements too 👍
Good luck with all those having SE’s and hope they wear off soon, for me it’s been up and down but I’m determined to find my ‘sweet spot’ of where I’m having enough of the drug to lose 1-2lbs per week but also have enough energy to go to the gym and build muscle…so I think 1.25 is the answer for me at the moment…it’s still a bit of trial and error as we’re all just in Month 1 being March starters so keep the faith, persevere and it will happen for all of us I’m sure! Xx

I believe you can choose your delivery date with Oushk so you could chose a day you'll definitely be home.

I was dissapointed with injection number 2, 2.5mg which I took Friday, then yesterday morning suppression kicked in for around 4 hours, then went again 😭 running off will power at the moment and hoping it kicks in again. Another pound lost since Friday

Yes the suppression has been lower each week for me , only lasted a couple of days last week and today the day after jab 4 just slight cold fingers and toes and didn’t want breakfast but starving 2 hours after lunch 😩 missing week one jab and hope when I go 5mg next week it’s back !

Deadringer · 31/03/2025 15:31

First week done no major side effects, just 2 lbs down but a loss is a loss. Due to jab this evening and was quite hungry today but just had 2 slices of toast and greek yogurt and i am stuffed! (Muller vanilla and coconut light greek yogurt is delish btw)

I know we have to go through the process and be patient. It's just dissapointed when we know how we could feel! I hope this doesn't last for the next 3 weeks I have to wait until moving to 5mg 😏

Fairislesweater · 31/03/2025 17:32

I’ve got 5mg pen arriving tomorrow or wed. Is it more concentrated or will I be injecting twice as much liquid?

taylorswift1989 · 31/03/2025 17:43

I don't know for sure but I think it's more concentrated. Otherwise they'd have to keep making bigger and bigger pens!

Hello @Fairislesweater its more concentrated so you inject the same. I decided to do 3.75mg (45 clicks) last night as I was worried about side effects. I feel ok, a little nausea but able to eat normally, and apart from a vague craving for sugar, really happy with how I feel.

TryForSpring · 31/03/2025 17:55

Had no GI symptoms until I did a little burp and unexpectedly projectile vomited across the carpet! Thank goodness I was at home and not a restaurant... Think the trigger may have been fizzy water which I know is not a good idea.

Fine. It was just so bizarre. It took a while before it occurred to me that it was likely MJ-related.

Puddingpiper · 31/03/2025 19:05

Hope I’m not too late to join I took my first dose on Friday.

SW 110kg
GW 80kg

I can’t believe the difference we went out for a client dinner today where I managed a calamari starter and 1/3rd seafood risotto that was it. Since then I have eaten a biscuit.

definitely need to drink more.

Good stuff delighted there are a few of us that are small!
I used to be 8 stone which was perfect however after having kids that became 9 stone which was also perfect
Right now I feel huge
Stomach area and double chin are the biggest parts and I look out of proportion
let’s stick together and do this !
