Welcome to thread 2 never thought we would be posting so much that we have to start a new thread.

I am still hovering around 12 and a half stone. I have been absolutely freezing to the point I have a duvet on the sofa.

I have had one NSV so far I can zip up my boots and they do not feel tight anymore.

End of week 2 for me - 2lbs off, 11lbs total.
Really happy as I thought my body might be in shock from week 1 and my period started.
I’ll inject later and stick to my stomach - I think from reading threads some people find it makes a difference to them. My suppression is high and side effects low so sticking with it for now. I think I will also stay on 2.5 next month unless something changes this week. Feeling good, NSV my work trousers felt comfortable all day on Tues commuting in and out of London! Normally get home and can’t wait to whip them off for PJs 🤣

Sorry not to tags the names but-

I also have 2 teen DDs and am navigating family meals. Mid-week is not so bad as more going on (commuting, clubs etc) but weekends we sit down together and it’s more obvious. I’m trying to eat the same thing as them but smaller portion, different balance on my plate. I feel comfortable talking to them about eating healthy, wanting to take care of myself in Peri etc. so framing it that way. Not hiding the collagen and perimenopause supplements so makes sense.

Great photos posted! Hope you feel great seeing the changes! Thank you for sharing them to encourage us all!

Hope everyone has a great week and don’t forget to go to bed extra early as the clocks will change 🙄 just what we need!

👏amazing difference!

It's been a very interesting first week.

SW 118.6kg
Wk 1 -3.4kg
CW 115.1kg

I was terrified before taking the first dose. It sat in my fridge for about two weeks.

Barely felt the first injection. Only very mild side effects in the first few days (bit of nausea, light-headed one day). I worked hard to drink plenty of water and ate all my normal meals, but the desire to snack just vanished. And for the first few days, the weight fell off. I was feeling really good.

The last couple of days have been more difficult. I never stopped thinking about snacks; I would think 'do I want a biscuit? No? Wow!', whereas the past few days I couldn't stop myself from eating the biscuit. And I've actually regained a kilo. This has been disheartening and a realisation that a lot more still needs to change.

I took the second dose a day early. I had wanted to avoid side effects over the weekend so I didn't affect family time, but I think I will need the full effect. A bit less positive going into second week.

Don't be disheartened! The drug slowly builds up in your system, there will be much less left in your system by day 5 or 6 and the effects can wear off.

I jab Sunday pm as do very long walks at weekends and want to be able to eat more to furl for the walks, as I have a history of blood sugar crashes if I don't.

Wow some amazing progress photos!

Sourdough123 · 29/03/2025 10:21

Hello everyone, 1kg down exactly for me at the end of week 3, which I'm pleased about. Hoping for a mini goal of another 2 kg by Easter 🤞🤞

SW - 94.4kg
CW - 88.8kg

Well done to everyone else keeping going, I didn't find it easy this week and am already worried about how I keep this going long term! Need to remember just to take it one day at a time....

Honeybea15 · 29/03/2025 10:23

Joining in as I started 21/03! Took my second jab last night and lost 7lbs in the first week, pretty unbelievable and I was sceptical as I don’t look any different but the scales don’t lie!!

Curious to see if anyone has experienced the following:

I vape and because I work part time I find myself with it in hand almost all day, however the last week it’s made me sick to my stomach to the point I only use it once every few hours, has anyone else experienced this with smoking or vaping?

Another one is when I take the jab, the next day I have cold/flu symptoms and my ears are so blocked up it really bothers me! (Not as much as being overweight bothers me so I’ll deal with it 🤣)

The food suppression for me is absolutely next level, to the point that I physically cannot eat for the first 3/4 days, I’m drinking slimfast milkshakes to get calories in and then having a small dinner with meat and veg (that I have to force down) does anyone else feel so full that they get the feeling they have a lump in their throat, even when not eating? I’ve woke up this morning and I’ve not eaten anything but I honestly feel like if I do I’m gunna burst 🤢

Curious to see if anyone else has experienced these types of things, apologies if it’s already been spoken about I did try and read through the threads but there was a lot of information!

FeetZelet · 29/03/2025 10:39

Well done to everyone getting the losses, so impressive. Not that positive here and feeling very disheartened. Third jab just done.

SW 14-1
CW 13-12
3lb loss over 2 full weeks.

Have experienced a lot of constipation and haven’t got to grips with it fully. Day 6&7 for the end of week 2 were zero suppression & I reached for junk & volume 😢
The constant heart burn has been difficult also. Feel like I’m failing at this. Going to try chat gpt for meal ideas from PP experiences. Dreading feeling exhausted and just off agin for the first. 5 days of this week 3 but will keep trying. Using the thread for inspiration to keep going.

MrsMariaReynolds · 29/03/2025 11:26

Wow, those progress photos are amazing! Well done to all 👍

@Honeybea15Interesting situation with going off your vapes. I think there are reports that MJ helps to curb all sorts of addictive behaviours, not just food/weight loss. MJ is some interesting stuff!

Justformounjaro · 29/03/2025 12:00

Weigh in day for me today and my stats are:

Pre Start Weight: 15st 6.5lbs
Start Weight MJ: 15st 0lbs
Goal Weight: Undecided
Current Weight: 14st 5.7lbs
Loss on MJ: 8.3lbs
Total loss: 14.8lbs
Week 1: 3.1lbs (2.5mg)
Week 2: 2.1lbs (2.5mg)
Week 3: 1.5lbs (2.5mg)
Week 4: 1.6lbs (2.5mg)

This week, I’ve gone below a BMI of 35 as well as losing over a stone since I started cutting out snacks before Christmas so I’m feeling happy. DP hasn’t commented that I’ve lost weight but he knows I’m cutting out snacks and exercising - however to tell him how much I’ve lost would be to give him an idea of how much I weigh, and that’s something between me and my scales (and you lot too!) 😀

Tonight I’m going for my golden dose on 2.5mg, although I’m considering putting it off till tomorrow as we’re out for an Italian later and I might want to let that get through my system first to minimise any side effects.

CFCmum · 29/03/2025 12:52

@TryingMJ Wow you can really tell a difference well done

MrsAlwaysRight · 29/03/2025 14:58

I've just taken the bonus dose. Was worried about injecting with syringe rather than the pen but it was fine and didn't hurt. Think I ended up with just under 0.6 as kept squirting it to check for air bubbles!

I've gone for a 5mg pen for next time but plan on starting with 3.75 and see how I get on.

I've lost 7 lbs so far. 2 lbs each week for first 3 and only 1 this week.

RuthEvershedforPM · 29/03/2025 14:58

Been reading rather than posting due to stupidly busy week

good progress though

sw 82.6
cw 78.4
gw 54

(next target 76 for Easter Sunday :))

I love seeing the progress photos - though I can’t imagine taking them never mind posting!

nsv - today I thought about going to a ball next year. My friends have been going to this thing every year for years and I haven’t been because I was terrified of the photos. Which is silly because I would love it! Anyway today I thought ‘ooh I’ll be able to go next yeah’

RuthEvershedforPM · 29/03/2025 15:02

On a side note my daughter is home from uni and has lost weight since I saw her at Christmas. She was slim to start with and I asked her about it ‘I just only have meals in the house mum, no treats’ and she walks everywhere. She was just matter of fact about it. And the no treats is because she wants to spend her money on other things. She’s even crap today at home! I am stupidily proud of her. Not the loss but the attitude. I have been on a diet all my life - even when I was slim :(

RuthEvershedforPM · 29/03/2025 15:05

*eaten crap

Oldbutnew · 29/03/2025 15:09

Ok, so I've just done my first dose !
Went into my stomach easy peasy.
I feel a bit anxious now but that's me, not the jab.
Starting weight - 11st
Current weight - 11st
GW 9.5 St
Fingers crossed.

I'm 50 and experiencing lots of flushes and headaches from peri at the moment, plus I've been binge eating a lot and drinking too much. So I'm hoping this will help with that !

Any tips to avoid side effects?

Menopants · 29/03/2025 15:11

Hi all. I took my second injection yesterday. The first week was great with suppression etc and lost 2lbs but could definitely feel it wearing off so was looking forward to my second injection. I'm not sure it has had any effect. I injected into my tummy fat instead of leg. Has anyone had similar?

Furryfeline · 29/03/2025 15:25

3rd week (jabbed Thursday), I'm finding it hard this week, the suppression is still there and I'm not eating any more, but not losing either, didn't have much side effects either apart from a bit of nausea. I'm now constipated and weirdly irritable, I think it's because the first weeks were so uplifting, and I lost really quickly, Hey ho , keep going have eaten prunes🤢 so fingers crossed 😂

Fairislesweater · 29/03/2025 16:08

has anyone tried Huel or protein works meals? (Not the shakes, but the instant noodle type things) Quite like the idea of it for work, got a really busy period coming up so not having to prep lunch would be good. But it might be rubbish, would be interested to hear from people who’ve tried it.

PoundsLost · 29/03/2025 16:53

I am so not suppressed. Sigh. I’m trying to stick to protein and low calorie stuff when I’m at home but we’re out quite a lot at other people’s houses and I can’t obviously choose what to eat. I HOPE that when I go up to 5mg, something will happen. It feels like such a waste of money.

taylorswift1989 · 29/03/2025 17:29

I had my second 2.5 dose this morning and don't really feel it. Disappointed, because last week was so good. I did inject in a different place (stomach rather than thigh) but not feeling anything. Surely if I felt it last week, I should feel it more this week, as it builds up in my body?

Feeling a bit dejected! I've still stuck to my calories but could easily have eaten much more.

SmallSoupcon · 29/03/2025 17:30

Wk3 d5 and I've had a rough week with diarrhoea every morning from 4am, very low calories and lack of sleep. It's messed up my mood, my work and my progress. It's not the way I want to lose weight, my face is thinner and my clothes looser but it's not healthy and I've been so tired I haven't been able to do resistance training.

I bought some Imodium yesterday which has stopped things for the time being, and I'm back to a normal eating pattern today, although way off my protein goals.

I'm really hoping this is just a temporary blip. Things were going well, but I'm so disheartened now 😔

I have found the M&S protein meals good ... reasonably high in protein good size and low in calories, also very different from many of the protein ready meals you can buy in supermarkets which all tend to be similar things. They are a little expensive at £5,50ish but if you are near one then I am often able to buy them reduced after 3pm. Handy to have in the fridge/freezer when you don't want to make something.....
