do you guys also occasionally panic that OMG what is that lump??
Bones. Those are bones.

2025istheyeari · 04/04/2025 18:12

Argh, after eating my first ‘normal’ meal last night in a week, the diarrhoea and cramps are back today 😳. I’m wondering if 7.5 is too much, even though I’ve had 5 doses🤷🏻‍♀️. My previous provider was a bit rubbish and on the fence on whether it could be MJ. We’ve ordered sushi from Little Fish tonight as an end of term treat, and I don’t think I’ll be eating any. I started reading about pancreatitis and panicking but while I do have some pain, it’s not constant or ridiculously so. My stomach is super gurgly and as for the sulphur burps 🤢. I’ve downed the peppermint oil capsule and gallons of mint tea, I’m tempted to go for the immodium next. Any other suggestions oh wise ones?? Thank you!

Zempy · 04/04/2025 18:36

What was your “normal” meal?

2025istheyeari · 04/04/2025 18:50

Zempy · 04/04/2025 18:36

What was your “normal” meal?

Good question! It was pot roasted chicken with a covering ( tiny) of cinnamon, paprika and olive oil, with some softened onion, celery salt and stock, then added in wholegrain cous cous and dried cherries. Nothing spicy or too rich I don’t think 🤷🏻‍♀️

MananaMananaPenelope · 04/04/2025 18:50

Poor you @2025istheyeari . I have no words of advice, only sympathy 💐.

Will catch up with the rest of today’s posts when I get to a larger screen 🤓.

2025istheyeari · 04/04/2025 18:52

Thank you! Oh and I had a handful of blueberries.

herinthehill · 04/04/2025 19:02

I keep getting gastric issues at the end of the week on MJ. Not sure if it's the dose dropping in my system. Usually feel very fatigued at the end of the week too. I thought it was food related but I've eaten well, so not sure it is.

HeavyHeidi · 04/04/2025 19:22

No words of wisdom unfortunately. Hope the peppermint helps!

RosaBaby2 · 04/04/2025 19:32

Hi all3, it's my 3rd week on 7.5mg today (week 14 all together I think)

Lost 2lb total loss 39lbs after staying the same last week (CW 16st2)

7.5mg has loud food noise, the temptation is bad, I'm really having to tell myself no.

I am still fuller quicker but only if I eat decent food. I ate what felt like a tonne of cake on Thursday and I could've carried on eating but I've just had a chicken kebab and am stuffed.

Would like to shrink my thunder thighs but lipedema making things tricky and I still have no desire to exercise.

Zempy · 04/04/2025 19:46

Yes, I am getting worse food noise on 7.5 which is annoying. Taking my third dose from 7.5 tonight.

My friend was lovely about me not coming for dinner tonight. I’m very blessed with fabulous friends. Going to have a really quiet weekend. Will deep clean bathroom and just potter.

discov · 04/04/2025 21:07

That is interesting re more food noise on 7.5. I did my first one yesterday so will see how I get on.

myladyjane · 04/04/2025 21:08

@2025istheyeari I can react really badly to onions. I did have a tendency pre MJ - not all
the time but occasionally. I had my worst gastric effects after something with onions in which was Perhaps worth avoiding?

I have my sulphur burps back today which I think is too much wheat.

need to buck up my food ideas actually - my food quality is a bit poor at the moment and protein low so need to get on that. TIL the season of massive salads and I need to get on the lettuce train.

2025istheyeari · 05/04/2025 08:10

That’s interesting @myladyjane, thanks. I’ve never had a reaction to onions before but I’ll def avoid for a while I think. I’ll try anything!!
hope the horrible burps go for you soon, they’re just awful aren’t they? I’ve had a dreadful night so I’ve emailed Oushkk for advice, think the 10mg pen I ordered from them which arrived yesterday was slightly premature and wondering if I need to go back to 5mg.

@Zempy, glad you cancelled and that your friend understood. Take it easy.

Well done on the losses everyone and for those who are finding it hard/ on a plateau/ not losing, I’m sorry, wishing for a whoosh for you all. Enjoy the sunshine!

Jins · 05/04/2025 08:39

Morning all. Here’s to the weekend!

I’m a bit fed up with myself today as I did a stupid thing. I saw some gorgeous looking dates on offer, bought and ate a fair number of them. Now I know you’re all imagining that they’ve gone in one end and out the other but dates are on my absolutely banned list and this morning I’m completely bunged up and the scales aren’t being kind. I know it’s not fat, it’s 100% an inflammatory reaction and water weight but still….

It’s my own fault and seems like a spectacular act of self sabotage when only a fraction of a pound would have tipped me into a normal BMI.

In case anyone is interested they were Tesco Finest Zamli dates and they were absolutely bloody gorgeous.

MananaMananaPenelope · 05/04/2025 08:44

I find everyone's different reactions fascinating. Sorry for those with side effects/feeling poorly.

@Jins sorry to hear that, I absolutely love dates but I have avoided them because I am calorie counting and I could eat my own body weight in them.

You can call Ouskh @2025istheyeari if you would like to speak to someone, they are there on Saturday (not sure about Sunday but definitely on Saturday.

9.5kg lost here today, almost halfway there to my first target at the end of June, back on track with losertown after my blip last weekend.

MJalltheway · 05/04/2025 08:49

Don't worry about it @Jins ! This process is about more than just the number on the scale. You ate some delicious, healthy food and enjoyed it - nothing wrong with that. The magic number will happen in due course.

looking forward to some nice weather this weekend. My kids are all home (plus extras!), it's so nice when we are all under the same roof again.
I'm picking up a rowing machine today which I'm very excited about, I've wanted one for months. Absolutely no excuses for missing exercise now!

Jins · 05/04/2025 09:00

Thanks @MananaMananaPenelope and @MJalltheway. It’s not just the weight gain which is annoying but will resolve itself it’s more that I’ve been fool enough to eat something that i really cannot eat without causing difficulties. I’m not going into detail on either the condition or the management but I’m in for an unpleasant few days ☹️

I’m allowed a very occasional banana! What was I thinking?

MJalltheway · 05/04/2025 09:00

No plan yet @MananaMananaPenelope so I'll take a look at that, thank you!
It's a second hand one from FB marketplace, it has built-in training programs so was just going to use those to get started. 🙏

Thelittlestranger · 05/04/2025 09:11

Another who enjoyed a few glasses of fizz, very little curry and woken up to the need to remove it all from my system!!

Off to get some weights in now, then dog walk, son's football and hopefully a relaxing rest of the weekend. Also got a full house again, which I'm delighted about.

Lovetoridemybicycle · 05/04/2025 09:18

Its been a while since I posted but I'm going through a 'i thought I would be dramatically different by now' stage. I'm at the first stage of unpeeling the large onion, while others are talking of being near healthy BMI. I knew it would be a long haul but hey 8.5kg is still 1-2lb a week.
Strange one through, I bought Ancient and brave collagen powder, which is supposed to be taste and odour free. It's okay until added to something but then all I can smell is raw meat.
It may be just me as when I was pregnant each time, the first I knew was throwing up at the sight/smell of raw meat.
Maybe a marine based one will be better. Any suggestions?

2025istheyeari · 05/04/2025 09:53

Oh @Jins I hope you’re ok 💐.
good work on the rowing machine @MJalltheway !
thanks @MananaMananaPenelope, I’ve just called Oushkk and super impressed!! He reckons my body is fighting against something I’m eating, went through my whole food diary ( which wasn’t great last week, following GPs orders it was pretty much brat- bananas, toast etc so high carb). He’s told me to cut out mint tea ( high in acid apparently!), most carbs and go back to high protein, no bananas, just full of sugar and MJ working hard to reduce sugar levels and I’m essentially adding loads in! Makes loads of sense, and just shows that GPs still learning. Ultimately I have been doing completely the wrong things this week! He said if it gets worse to call them but carry on with my 7.5mg this week and review whether to stick there or go back to 5. Off to look at what high protein meals I can have that I can stomach. Any ideas gratefully received, I’m eating lots of chicken and green veg so thinking of some nice salads. He also said that Keto type eating the most aligned with WLIs.

sorry, that was long! And sorry feel like I’ve derailed the thread a little, but hopefully helpful for everyone xx

myladyjane · 05/04/2025 10:03

Ohhh @2025istheyeari that is interesting. I have been up on and off all night with nausea and gurgling tummy (if I may be allowed a rare softie moment, you know you have a keeper when they sit up at 2 in the morning rubbing your back as you drink your pepto). I have had more carbs and sweet stuff over the past couple of days than I usually have - we are talking bananas and pasta not ice cream sundaes or anything but still. Will up my protein.

@Jins ah mate but we are human. And health conditions are tough. So have a manly pat on the back for me and hope the bumpy days pass as easily as they can.

@MananaMananaPenelope yay! Good going.

i seem to have settled a bit after my bad night and am off out with the grumpy one. I shall wear my NEW JEANS and look quite the funky monkey.

myladyjane · 05/04/2025 10:20

@Lovetoridemybicycle I understand and am quite often where you are. If it helps I’m nowhere near a non obese bmi and have a good 3 stone more to lose if not more. Sometimes it really does bother me and sometimes I am sanguine and figure I’ll get there when I get there, it’s not a race. But it is really hard for sure - mj makes the physical process easier but not the mental one I find.

i don’t eat meat (do eat fish) so only take marine collagen (have some gummmies from Amazon). My friend gave up on ancient and brave as she hated the taste and it did nothing for her. I keep it going as I have a tendency to tendon/ligament issues and it’s meant to help but can’t say I’m convinced….

MananaMananaPenelope · 05/04/2025 10:26

Brilliant @2025istheyeari , that's good advice for all of us isn't it. I am pleased you were impressed, worried I was sounding like some sort of groupie 😂. I think Ouskh is amazing/have got it right and their support is first rate. I've never shopped anywhere else though so have nothing to compare it to.

New jeans 😍@myladyjane , fabulous. I am just working my way down through my smaller sizes.

I tried on a couple of really tailored work dresses last week and the sausage roll effect has definitely reduced. I can wear two of them now, three more in the pipeline. It just shows you how much sizes can differ from the same store though, all Hobbs which is my go to for formal work, all this sort of lark. All the same size in label terms, all very different!

I am not sure if I've said that I have had to give up on Mag Citrate - it is giving me cystitis.

@myladyjane I forgot to say earlier that your stats look fabulous, you must be really pleased, I remember you being disappointed a thread (or two) back. 🏆
