Didn't want to lose you all, so have started a new thread.

Roll up, roll up!

NSV - with my previous G-cups, I liked to wear those built-in bra tops for nightwear, as liked to have a bit of support. But had never found anything supportive enough to wear in public. Also because you need them quite tight for support, and I didn't feel comfortable with tight clothes when I looked like a sausage in them. But just ordered the top I'm wearing in smaller size, and wow, I'm going to live in them in the summer!

DareDevil223 · 30/03/2025 08:06

I hit my 9 stone loss this morning. 7.5.g seems to have kickstarted my weightloss.
I'm now 11st 1.6lbs, BMI 24.4 from 20st 2lbs, BMI 44.4. Total loss 126.4lbs or just over 57kg.

I'm aiming to get to 10 st 7 because I really want to be 10 stone something. I haven't been that low since my 20s!

HeavyHeidi · 30/03/2025 08:15

@DareDevil223 that's amazing! You must find everything so much easier now that you don't need to carry an entire person on your back any more.

I don't know how I managed. Tbh, I didn't really. Everything hurt all the time and I'd panic if I had to walk for more than a few minutes I look and feel like a totally different person.

Pandora71 · 30/03/2025 08:41

Hi everyone, looking for advice.

I’ve had some bad side effect this week, for the first time. Stomach pain and feeling sick in the night, very lethargic and low energy. It’s not a bug, I’m sure it’s the MJ. My suppression is very high. It’s my 4th week on 5mg.

On Monday I leave for a holiday of a lifetime for a few weeks. I’ve been thinking about reducing or even pausing completely while I’m away. I don’t want side effects to ruin it and I need my energy to enjoy it. I don’t see any reason why I can’t restart in a few weeks, perhaps reducing the dose again. This isn’t about being a glutton on holiday but I guess it’s likely I’ll maintain or put on a bit. It’s about not feeling crap.

Thoughts?

Thelittlestranger · 30/03/2025 08:47

@Pandora71 I think you need to do what's right for you - this isn't a race. It's about sustainable weight loss - it's ok to press pause.

@HeavyHeidi exactly the same thing happened to me two weeks ago. Similar boob size. I finally see a world where I can not only wear a vest, but wear one without bra straps all over the place.

DGonMJ · 30/03/2025 08:54

Congrats @DareDevil223 another incredible milestone for you!

@Pandora71 If you’re feeling ill and suppression is too high for you to get enough nutrients, from what I’ve read of others’ experience, I think most prescribers would support a week’s break from it and/or reducing the next dose. Maybe check in with your prescriber?

TicTac80 · 30/03/2025 09:02

@DareDevil223 that is absolutely amazing! Huge huge well done. I don’t know you IRL, but am cheering you on!! I’m 4kg heavier than what you lost in weight.

I think this month I’m going to need to look at getting resized for bras and so on. I quite fancy buying some nice skirts too, and maybe some tailored cotton shirts. I’ve spent the last years in oversized baggy stuff! In my slim years, I had a really nice wardrobe: not expensive designer stuff, but lovely quality things that worked well for lots of occasions. I got shot of a lot of it when the weight piled on.

MananaMananaPenelope · 30/03/2025 09:32

@Pandora71 , I’d pause, holiday of a lifetime and feeling under par don’t work do they. You can come straight back to it once you get back.

I’m holding onto my weight gain, 0.8kg since seven days ago. Hoping it is hormonal, there is a pattern according to nutracheck, this happens every 21 days, so 🤞🏻. I have eaten in calorie deficit every day. For the first time since I started I am now behind losertown. Annoying.

Thinking about whether I go up to 3.75mg tomorrow. Not sure as I am not eating loads. I ended up staying in last night and ate half a one person’s Thai green chicken curry and rice thing from M&S, h a l f. I was stuffed.

MJalltheway · 30/03/2025 09:47

I would probably pause too @Pandora71 , but be prepared to have to start again on 2.5, I'm not sure what the gap is before you're recommended to drop down to the start again.
where is your holiday? I was just chatting to a friend yesterday who's planning her holiday of a lifetime next year when she retires, travelling all around the Caribbean - sounds wonderful!
Must confess to being slightly envious of all of you dropping cup sizes, that's one thing that never changes no matter my size. I'm always a GG/H cup. It's much less noticeable when it's balanced by a big fat tummy! Quite seriously considering a reduction once I get to goal weight (and realistically, once I retire, so I can recover in peace).

Ive noticed that I always get a significant drop the day after I weigh in. I'm not a daily weigher usually but I do weigh probably 3 times a week. So I had weigh in Friday - 92kg. Weighed yesterday, 91.7kg. Weighed today, 91.2kg!!

mince3point14159265 · 30/03/2025 10:13

That’s awesome @DareDevil223, you’ve done brilliantly! 👏

myladyjane · 30/03/2025 10:28

@DareDevil223 what an amazing achievement. Super well done.

@DGonMJ urgh to periods and hormones. You too @MananaMananaPenelope. I suspect I am in the same boat and am not planning to weigh in until mine has been and gone. I am eating in a deficit, I am moving much more, I am sleeping better so fuck the scales if they are not going to show a loss because of period bloat I say.

@Pandora71 I would say take a break too. Have a fantastic holiday and come back ready to start again. A few weeks in the scheme of things is nothing.

@MJalltheway mine don’t do much for ages then deflate like week old balloons.

yesterday I had lunch with my mum in a John Lewis cafe and had the kids portion of veg curry. It was the perfect size. I know some places wont do kids sizes for adults so it was great, no food waste, no paying for something I knew I wouldnt eat.

had a lovely Mother’s Day tea in bed (I primed dh to say no breakfast in bed), flowers and a golden monkey ornament (this is a good thing btw). Off to cook lunch for my mum and am treating myself to a Lindor egg later. Let’s see how that goes as I’ve mostly not fancied any chocolate…..

Jins · 30/03/2025 10:44

Blimey @DareDevil223 9 stone loss! That’s absolutely incredible. Well done!!!

@Pandora71 if i were you I’d have a break for your holiday. I think that after two weeks you have to start again at 2.5mg but presumably you’ve already ordered your next pen if you’ve taken your 4th dose? In which case make your mind up after your holiday. Have a fantastic time!

Week 12 for me and I’m feeling great. I’ve lost a chin! Nobody has noticed that I’ve lost weight at all and I can’t understand why as it’s becoming really obvious. I must have disguised it well with clothes choices but how can they not see that my face has changed?

I’ve been through my summer clothes to see what needs to be altered before my holiday and there isn’t much to do which is great. A couple of tops need work but the rest should be ok. My shorts are a bit looser but I quite like how they look. Swimwear is ok but I wouldn’t trust one of my bikinis.

Accurate measurements taken this morning for dressmaking purposes and quite the NSV. Since the start I’ve lost 2.5 inches off my waist 🥳 and two inches off my hips 😒. Full bust measurement is 2” down but upper bust is 3” down and underbust 2”. So no change to cup size and the overall change is likely due to shrinking underarm and back fat. Technically I’m a size smaller, whether that translates to shop bought I have no idea.

MananaMananaPenelope · 30/03/2025 10:48

I don’t even have periods very often @myladyjane. Just the bloat and the symptoms. 😩

We are going out for a curry tonight. Not sure how that will look but I’m imagining one main course and two starters between three of us. Portions are big and if I’m there with just one DC I have a starter and a bit of their main which they never manage to eat.

Zempy · 30/03/2025 11:05

Well done @DareDevil223 that is amazing!

My boobs are very slightly smaller, down to GG from H. Should really be more loss given I am over 30 pounds lighter.

I am not feeling much suppression this week. Second week of 7.5. I do have side effects though, dizzy and lethargic. Headache. Generally like a hangover. It’s the worst of both worlds and I really hope it gets better soon.

Grecianrainbow · 30/03/2025 12:21

With holidays approaching I was looking at the advice for if you miss a week.

So am I right in thinking that if you miss one week you can carry on as normal so for example you take normal dose on 1st of month, would be due to take next one on 8th but miss that one as you’re on holiday, you can take your normal dose again on 15th ?

But if you had a bigger gap than 1st to 15th then you should drop to 2.5mg and build up again?

MananaMananaPenelope · 30/03/2025 13:07

No idea on the higher doses @Grecianrainbow as I was only on 2.5mg when I sought advice about missed a week. Can you ask your supplier?

2025istheyeari · 30/03/2025 14:01

Sorry for the long post, catching up after a few days absence!!

@DareDevil223 wow! That is incredible, massive well done, you’re an inspiration!!!

Sorry @workingbalance, I had a v similar thing this week and I’m also w12, not had it before but really severe diarrhoea, no vomiting thankfully. Hope you feel better soon.
@zempy Hope you’re ok too.

Well done on the losses and nsv all, and Jins, so glad you had your woosh, some
incredible inch loss too, you must feel fab!!

sorry for those who are sticking, it will go, bloody annoying ( I was there last week!) but trust the process, MJ is the first time ever that I have been able to so I know easy to say, sending support and weight loss vibes!

@Pandora71 I think I’d leave it too, you really don’t want to be feeling ill on a holiday of a lifetime, you want to enjoy and soak in every single second, have an amazing time! I’m already thinking of leaving it for the 2 weeks I’m away in the summer, we’re moving around so keeping the pen refrigerated will be a challenge and my son doesn’t know so will be easier all round. I’ve just swapped to Oushk so will speak to them nearer the time, hoping I’ll be at or near goal by then too.

I gained a pound last week and was so miffed, you were all so kind about it, thank you! My friend who I was away with couldn’t understand it either as saw what I ( didnt eat!) and how far we walked. Anyway 2 days after the dreaded diaorrhea and I seem to have lost 6 pounds! I think some of it obv due to that but keeping 🤞🏻crossed that it’s caused a woosh! Weigh day Tuesday or Wed so let’s see.

Like Jins, I measured myself today and in 12 weeks have lost 3.5 cm off my waist, 6.5(!) off my chest, 2.75 off my thigh and 2 off my upper arm. I’m wearing some
old, smaller bras, not sure of the size but def smaller! Don’t really want to buy new yet so hoping they’ll last!
I am lighter than I’ve been for 9 years!!

have a lovely, sunny day all and enjoy your various meals out!

Thelittlestranger · 30/03/2025 14:10

WI day and jab for me and 1/2lb off. It's definitely slowing down for me as I head towards a 'normal' BMI. But, over 3 weeks I've lost 3.5lbs, and suddenly you realise it all adds up. Also cognizant that I've been out a lot recently and am nearer 1300 cals a day rather than 1200.

Goes to show you that just 700 cals a week extra does make a difference.

Hearing all your measurements, I wish I'd taken mine!!

OP posts:
AmythestBangle · 30/03/2025 14:54

Am into normal BMI now and consciously slowing down the loss to about a lb a week. I have only got to 5mg and Mybmi have asked me to now go back to 0.25, which I am happy to do (I only want to lose another half a stone or so, have lost 2 stone so far). Hoping however that I can stay on this dose as maintainance. I have lost any desire for alcohol, and my menopausal symptoms, especially night sweats and feeling hot generally, have completely disappeared after ten years of failing to respond to HRT. I am also really scared of the weight coming back again. I am a healthy meal eater but before MJ loved my chocolate, red wine, biscuits, puddings etc (no interest in these things now).

Thelittlestranger · 30/03/2025 17:18

@AmythestBangle well done you!

My plan was to start upping my calories, but would like to get another half a stone off to get into 'normal' BMI only to give me a buffer. Which would equate to a total loss of 32lbs.

Then will up the cals until I find what I can eat to maintain. I've never done that - it's always just been on a diet or off it.

I’ve been following these threads since I began on MJ on 1st January, I’ve been lurking rather than contributing but I love reading everyone’s posts about how much weight has been lost - I’m down 17lbs myself and am thrilled, however, the constipation I’m experiencing for the last few weeks is getting me down. Nothing seems to help, whether I eat all bran, salads, vegetables etc etc it’s like my bowels have just stopped working. I’ve just begun taking Fybogel which I’m not at all keen on, but if it works it’ll be worth it. Is anyone else in the same boat, or can give some ideas on what I can do please? I would give anything for a bout of the runs to clear me out !

HeavyHeidi · 30/03/2025 20:28

I eat a lot of prunes - according to some studies, also good for bone health. Guess you've already tried that?

Hiya

I guess you’re drinking lots of water? On the odd occasion I’ve suffered, I’ve found an increase in fluids really helps. Like @HeavyHeidi I eat prunes, also chia and flax seeds and broccoli and pulses. Sounds painful, really hope you manage to get it sorted soon.

Yes drinking plenty of water and eating lots of fruit …it’s just as though my body isn’t making poo anymore (sorry TMI) Haven’t tried prunes yet though, I’ll have to give them a go, did you have canned or dried prunes ?
