I’m feeling rather dizzy today lads. Don’t quite feel able to go out shopping as planned.

Weird because I have eaten properly and am hydrated.

Sofa day for me I guess, which is frustrating when the sun is shining.

mince3point14159265 · 29/03/2025 11:30

Sorry to hear how unwell you're feeling @workingbalance ; I do wonder if DGonMJ's email regarding norovirus is the answer. Fingers crossed you're feeling better soon.

And sorry to hear you're not feeling great either @Zempy , hope not the start of something like an ear infection? Think there might be a nasty cold bug going around too.

TicTac80 · 29/03/2025 11:48

I’ve uploaded and sent pics :) I’ll keep you guys posted about things. I CBA to get dressed or do much today as I’m tired from work, but really got to get on and do stuff!

Polkadotdash · 29/03/2025 11:55

Weigh in day for me. 2lbs off. And not gained any of the 6lbs mega loss last week either. So that means I’ve finally lost a stone. Only another two stone to go. Argh.
I was pondering to myself about measuring in stones and how I think about getting under 13, getting under 12, getting under 11 etc. if you weigh in pounds or kilos only, does that change how you perceive your weight and your goals?

mince3point14159265 · 29/03/2025 11:56

My weekly weigh in time:
W14, D1 7.5mg 4th dose
SW: 15.13.0
CW: 13.5.0
Loss this week 1.8lbs

Not much showing on the scales but do feel somehow smaller this week, if that makes sense?!
A possible NSV was putting on my watch this morning; I like the solo braided loop for my apple watch and had recently had to go down a size. New one felt loose this morning already (they do stretch a bit over time but this one is only a few weeks old).

I do both, gives extra milestones which I like. I do the same thing when I’m running with miles/km.

TicTac80 · 29/03/2025 12:25

I use both units too, just give an idea of what is what. I like metric as it gives me a clearer idea of where I am/progress, but I like converting the measurement to get an idea of where I am in "old money" so to speak.

HeavyHeidi · 29/03/2025 12:38

I can only use metric and yes certainy, you have 'under 80' or 'under 70' milestones in your head, while being x stone or lbs doesn't mean the same for me.

Jins · 29/03/2025 14:03

I’m happy with both tbh despite being an old gimmer who still remembers old money. I use metric for everything but for some reason during weightloss attempts it’s stones and pounds.

0ncemorewithfee1ing · 29/03/2025 15:09

Great news @Polkadotdash ! And on a selfish point, really, really hope I follow your trajectory and am just a couple of weeks behind. I’m still just 8lbs down for nearly 11 weeks. Jabbing at 7.5mg on Sunday night though.

sociallydistained · 29/03/2025 17:10

After a pretty rubbish week I've lost 3lb wahoo stayed the same last week and this happened to me the 2 weeks before. No loas then a bigger loss.

I went up to 6.25 this week midway through my second pen of 5mg. Probably should have just done the whole 7.5 as haven't noticed much difference. I had a small Easter egg today. Still craving chocolate is bothering me. I'll do 7.5 next week and see how I go.

I've got a whole 7.5 to start but I already ordered 10mg from IQ doctor because the discount (I am a current customer) makes it £135! Bargain. I figure I can always dose down.

sociallydistained · 29/03/2025 17:11

Also today's WI means I broke the 2 stone barrier today!

SW: 15.10
CW: 13.9

HeavyHeidi · 29/03/2025 17:50

I know what you mean @TicTac80
People were not worried when we gained weight, but suddenly they are sooooo concerned we are getting too skinny.

Polkadotdash · 29/03/2025 18:35

@0ncemorewithfee1ing oh I really really hope you have some joy with the 7.5mg. It’s frustrating to lose so slowly week after week when others are racing ahead. I know you’re not supposed to compare yourself to others, but it’s inevitable.

Polkadotdash · 29/03/2025 18:37

And I have only had one side effect for going up to 7.5mg and that’s stomach ache. Not every day, but a couple of days this week my stomach has been really sore. Not sure what causes it or what to do to make it better. Anyone had this?

BreezyPeer · 29/03/2025 18:54

Just want to share 2 nsv I've had in the last couple of days. The first one is my big coat does up. Even with a fleece under it! It hasn't done that for years.
The second is I bought a new belt for my jeans about a month ago, bit gutted I had to get the large but the medium would barely do up. Today, I am all out of little holes and it's loose! So pleased!!

DGonMJ · 29/03/2025 19:17

Have had quite a busy and productive day today and still managed to eat well. Had a Gail’s avocado on sourdough with smoked salmon breakfast; egg curry and rice for lunch and looking forward to roast duck leg for dinner!

Met up with a friend today who’s also on MJ, she’s lost so much weight and is so happy about it.

NSVs - I could see a big difference in the gym mirror today. Wore a size small t-shirt I haven’t worn for about 5 years. Last picture of me in it was when I was running daily during the first lockdown. Push ups were easier today, I think because I’m lighter rather than because I’ve gained much chest & shoulder muscle 💪

Thelittlestranger · 29/03/2025 19:24

I am loving all these NSVs!!

My one today was I ordered a new trench coat in a size 12 and it was too big. I picked it up from Next, gave it straight back and went to M&S and bought a different one. Also a size 12, but it fitted over my hoodie. I'm a shorty.

I had another person ask if I was 'on ozempic' the other day - from work too. Clearly my team have been gossiping as one asked that, and the other asked me how I'd lost the weight. When I said from eating less - she was like 'it cant be just that.' I responded that it could - eating 1200 cals per day and over 3 months is less than 2lbs a week. I mean, it is technically that - just with a little help. Didn't feel I had to share though.

Busy day today sorting things in the house. Now lying in the bath with a G&T. Lovely.

HeavyHeidi · 29/03/2025 19:40

@DGonMJ yes I have found this as well, pushups are not my favourite but so much easier without all the extra weight.

@Thelittlestranger that's what I say when people ask - and that's why I'm losing, I'm eating less, drinking less and exercising a little more (not massively so for the latter though). Yes. it's easier, but we would not be losing weight if we stuffed our faces.

mince3point14159265 · 29/03/2025 19:43

I'm a little torn about denying being on anything if asked as I feel that it clearly isn't as simple as just eating less or we all would have done this years ago. But on the other hand, obviously it's none of their business what medication we are on.
I think I've been hiding away from most friends & family so I don't have to deal with anyone else's thoughts on WLIs that might scupper my progress. I felt happy being all bundled up in winter clothing so that no one would notice; unfortunately/fortunately the weather is starting to improve! ☀️

UnderandOverwhelmed · 29/03/2025 20:01

It's been a funny week and my diet has been all over the place as I've had some time off and been out for breakfast twice and had several lattes, which is normally just for a treat. I am absolutely starving right now and for the first time I've thought about ordering a takeaway 😫. I think because the other days I've had my calories earlier in the day so my body doesn't know what's going on. I'm 2lbs down since my Wednesday weigh though, which is fab, just need to not blow it now!

MummyInTheNecropolis · 29/03/2025 20:55

I’ve been really open and told anyone who’s mentioned my weight loss that I’m on MJ. I’ve not had any negative comments at all (not to my face anyway)! I wonder if it’s because I am clearly very visibly obese? Perhaps people are more understanding of the fact that I might need medication to help? If I were only a couple of stone overweight to begin with perhaps people wouldn’t be so understanding? Not that that’s any excuse for judging or being rude about it of course!

TicTac80 · 30/03/2025 00:48

I’ve not told anyone about using MJ. I already get told - by some! - that me using HRT is unnecessary (apparently I’m not old enough), so they’ll probably think I’m some sort of junkie for adding this to the mix!

TicTac80 · 30/03/2025 00:51

As an aside…this evening, I treated myself and DC to Wagamama takeaway. The Thai beef salad is lovely, balanced and filling, but also light in calories. I really recommend it. :)

DGonMJ · 30/03/2025 08:04

WI day for me and I’ve gained nearly half a kilo since Wednesday 😩 Hoping it’s my period that’s due that’s causing the fluctuation.

Week 13, Day 1 - due to jab 3rd 5mg later
SW 79.6kg
CW 66.9kg - 0.5kg loss this week
GW 62.5kg (decided to just go for middle of my bracket)

Happy Mothers Day to you all 💐🪻🌸🌺🌷
I have a brunch booked later this morning. Looking forward to not overeating like I normally do!
