@BlueLimes, I started MJ on January 3rd...and if I count that day as W1 D1, then I guess yesterday was 13weeks.
Rant coming up: I do find it really rude for people to be commenting on my weight like that. Many have known me well since I was 18, all know that I'm a complete foodie (I LOVE cooking, trying/sharing new recipes, bringing in things for people to try etc) and that I do like to stay healthy/fit. Particularly as I'm almost back down my post-DC and pre-menopausal weight (ok I was 55-60kg then, but I'm now not over that weight by much!) - and they have known me and worked with me at that time! Some of them have known me since I was late teens/early 20's (when I was 50-55kg*), so this weight and size really shouldn't be a surprise or shock to them at all.
What also really annoys me is that in the past 5/6yrs, since peri hit, my weight has gone up by 15-20kg - a huge amount, but only a couple have commented on that (only in an "are you ok?" way, which I didn't have a problem with). I don't understand why, when the weight piled on, the ones who now make the rude comments said nothing (I was very overweight/obese for my height/frame, and we're HCPs so know only too well the health risks of being overweight/obese), yet now, they make comments about me looking like a skeleton or that I've walked out of a POW/concentration camp. Some others have commented and said that I look like my old self again (and that's fine), or "crikey, you've shed the weight quick - was that on purpose? Are you ok?" and that's also fine. I think expressing a concern/comment about weight gain/loss for health reasons is fine...saying rude stuff is definitely not ok!
I think I'd better get some clothing/uniform in my actual/current size, and then maybe it'll look more fitted and not hanging off me, and the comments might calm down. Or I might ask the rude ones why they didn't see fit to comment on my weight gain, but think it's fair game now.
*the reason I know my weight from late teens/early 20s was because I used to do a lot of sailing and windsurfing (I taught it as well as raced, so I needed to know my weight, as well as obviously staying "boat/board fit" and having tip top nutrition/diet).
Sorry, rant over.
@DGonMJ, suppression at 7.5mg is very good. I am trying to get myself to eat a bit more but I know that without fail, if I overeat, I am sick (or feel vile/nauseous as the food seems to sit in my stomach for ages). So, I dosed yesterday morning before work (I always take my MJ first thing on a Friday morning), I ate a small supper last night (after treating myself to a panini from Costa for brunch at work yesterday) and still feel somewhat full now!!
I ordered the new pen yesterday and got a message back from the Zava doctors yesterday afternoon - they want more photographic proof of weight etc. So I will sort that out today for them. It looks like they want people to stick to a BMI of around 22-23, which is sensible. I'm not sure if they will take into account the different BMI values for BAME people. Hopefully they'll let me carry on at least with maintenance doses!!
