@SqueakyDinosaur I'm with Ashcroft Pharmacy. If you order before 2pm they deliver by Royal Mail the next morning in a plain white box, may be slightly longer first time obviously. Prices are competitive and, although there's no official maintenance policy on their site, I emailed them and had a reply saying their pharmacists "would work with patients individually to find a sustainable dose for maintenance and that weight maintenance often requires a lifelong commitment to the strategies that supported initial weight loss. Mounjaro can serve as one component of a broader maintenance plan that includes lifestyle changes and regular medical care.
Closer to the time, we can get in contact and discuss a more tailored approach"
I've been very happy with them

I have woken up way too early and with too much energy today. It’s 6.58am, I’ve done a load of washing and it’s in the dryer, dinner is in the slow cooker, cheesey twists are made and ready to go in the oven when DD wakes up so she can have them hot and fresh, kitchen has been scrubbed and floors cleaned. What the hell is this all about!

alwaysscared · 23/03/2025 09:32

Am officially overweight and not obese!! Whoop!

RobinEllacotStrike · 23/03/2025 10:57

that's amazing @alwaysscared - bravo!!!

Since getting the new scales I seem to be gaining and losing the same 2 kgs. My weight is up and down and I can be 2kg heavier on one day to the next. So I paused the daily weighing.

This morning though is showing a proper loss (I think). I know I am losing weight!!! I see it & feel it.

SW 124 kg / BMI 41
CW 94.8 kg / BMI 31.6

Loss to date: 29.2 kilos - google tells me that is nearly 5 stone. Is that right???

MFP records go back to 2011 - 94.8kg is the lightest I have been since I started those records and probably for a few years before then too.

I'm in the 14's now - 14 stone 13lb!!! So keeping the pace with WLISister @Darlinghag

Well done everyone for your ongoing losses & achievements!!!

I'm packing for a 3 week trip to visit family & friends in NZ - trying on clothes, putting together a nice wardrobe, with some new pieces & old favourites I can fit/wear again. Instead of a dreaded chore, I've thoroughly enjoyed spending time putting my holiday wardrobe together. I'm taking some of my lovelier "too big" dresses for my sister including a couple of one off dresses I made (I did ask her first and she was very happy I offered).

I am thrilled with the exercise aspect of this adventure. If you haven't heard me bang on about it already 😁 I have been doing hot yoga since mid-November. I started back with very gentle yoga/gym back in August and I was wanting to throw up everytime I bent forward. I progressed slowly but steadily as I was going to gym about 5 times a week. Then in mid November I switched gym membership for hot pod yoga membership as I decided I wanted to do more yoga and more intenstive yoga. Its been a life changing decision. I do 7-8 classes a week - some intense and some quite gentle. I have become incredibly strong and flexible (comparitively). The progress I have made has been amazing - turning up, being consistent, doing something I really enjoy - all really pays off. I can feel muscles all over my body now. And its very toning too. My B belly has dramatically reduced (though as if by magic it reappears in gigantic form in a shoulder stand 🧘🏼‍♂️🤣). The best thing is how good I feel now during and after a class and how strong my arms/shoulders/legs are and how twisty I've become. Every week my body can make new shapes previously unavailable. Its wonderful.

On the flip side I'm not doing enough walking. The upcoming holiday will involve a lot of walking and I'm hoping I can maintain new walking habits when I am back at home.

Off for breakfast 🥝🥝 and to make soup for this weeks lunches.

gimmemounjaro · 23/03/2025 11:37

Ooh I have gained this week for the first time since October 😱

SW: 241.2 lbs
CW: 178.7 lbs

So -62.5 lbs or around 4.5st
But +2.4lbs this week

I think I know why - a combination of an unrealistic loss last week (2.7lbs, so I’m still below where I was two weeks ago), and being away, living off Pret and Deliveroo, plus long days in a high-stress environment sent me back to my old ways of eating the wrong stuff for all kinds of reasons apart from hunger. So hardly surprising really. It’s a good opportunity to reset, back to basics, eat when hungry and just enough, when eating don’t do anything else, high protein, lowish carb, no crap, lots of plants, move after meals, ride out any urges or cravings, enjoy the process. These situations are always going to happen, it’s normal, and it’s good to practise dealing with them without panicking and spiralling.

Trouble is I have another stressful week ahead but at least I’ll be sleeping at home most days. I have a plan for lunches and dinners I can take with me and will be prepping today.
On we go 💪

Looking for some advice from a bigger girl who has skin folds and been on mJ a while.

i have developed a painful spot/pimple… gosh I am scared to write it or think it.. could it be a boil!!!
It’s on my lower tummy (not near injection site) and is red/purple like spot that is swollen and sore but not pussy. Skin around bit red too. It grew and is swollen/painful near my bikini skin folds. Yuck, hate the saying FUPA.
I wear my pants high to disguise skin folds and oh no.. more horrid words/descriptions…. I have a pendulous/ apron tummy. I think with weight loss the area has got, yes smaller but also much softer/squidgy with worse deeper folds?

has anyone else developed a infected like spot or boil? Is this a MJ thing or a weight loss/squidgy skin impact.
i am washing regularly and applying warm compress and antiseptic but It is sore. Really don’t want to go to the doctor and have to ‘lift my tummy’ for them to see it 😭😭😭😭😭
Any advice?

You can send it pics with the e-consult if your GP does this, perhaps?

SqueakyDinosaur · 22/03/2025 12:22

Right, lovely peeps, I need to change suppliers (currently with MedExpress). What's the best combination of decent price, discreet packaging and sensible maintenance plans, in your opinion, please?

I think I will go for the Simple online pharmacy as they price match and do maintenance, have found them good in the past. Or Oushk (but they seem busy) Have also heard good things about Pharmulous.

SilenceInside · 23/03/2025 13:12

@alwaysscaredjust wanted to congratulate you on dropping into the overweight category, that’s such a great result! Hope to join you there in a few more weeks.

QueenOfHiraeth · 23/03/2025 14:16

@alwaysscared Well done! I hit that point last week too and it is a real milestone!

SpunkyKhakiScroller · 23/03/2025 16:26

Hello. I hope it's ok to join this group. I injected for the first time today and am feeling all kinds of scared, worried, guilty. I hope to gain inspiration from those further along the road.

CW/SW: 106.6kg (16st 11lb)
GW: 65kg (10st 3lb)

65kg is at the bottom of the overweight BMI for my height. 62 would take me to a healthy weight but I haven't been 65kg since I was 16 so that will be enough for me! I'm 45 now.

Darlinghag · 23/03/2025 17:29

@RobinEllacotStrike glad to still be twinning - well done, you! It actually helps when I think things move slow - its not, its realistic!! Wild how different our BMIs are though - you must be quite tall? Or am I just very short?

@alwaysscared congratulations!!

Loving the bra talk and am hoping against hope that I too will one day be needing to buy smaller ones!

I converted to Molke bras several years ago and never looked back - even if my boobs shrink, they will always be housed in Molke bras 😄

I definitely need smaller pants now - I do wear big granny pants, but my current ones reach up to my bra now, which my other half finds hilarious.....🙄😄

I am playing catch up on this chat and I was going to add in my love for Molke bras - gone down one size already and think I might need to go down another one...

Hi!
Yes when I did my first injection I was so anxious. I got it into my head I'd instantly die and leave my kids motherless because I was trying to lose weight!
All that happened was I felt ill the next day for a few hours, bad heartburn because I ate too fast..
I'm now 3 injections in. I'm absolutely fine and I've lost 10lbs!
X

Reginaphalangeeeee · 23/03/2025 23:53

Thank you all for you advice about my skin infection/boil.
its not worse but also not better so will see GP, maybe antibiotics needed and hope do t upset me & my tummy..

this week was a ‘stay the same’ for me. First one since starting I have not lost weight.
its really evoked that feeling of failure as have made some bad food choices this weekend while away. I recognise some old eating habits returned, especially when out for meals and making easy choices while on the road (McDonald’s) to please kids too. This point is definitely the feelings & attitude for when I normally would give up and eat in sorrow/pity for myself. I can see it and I feel so full of shame about my choices and poor motivation this week. Infact, this stupid skin infection has also got me down & added to bad choices 😢

it’s jab day & hope for some better choices next week. The ‘stay the same’ on weight is fine as I have had big losses, but the thing I am so sad & fed up about that I want to loose is the tummy hanging down & resting on my thighs while I sit, it gets in the way when I walk up stairs.. I just want that gone.

hope for a positive week for you all & trying to be kind to myself, wish for a good week for me too!

RobinEllacotStrike · 24/03/2025 05:50

I’ve packed for my trip.

there is a large suitcase weighing about 21 kg in my room. I’ve lost 29kg. I keep picking the suitcase up. I really can’t fathom how I was carrying around that suitcase on my body plus some, every day, for years. It’s difficult to grasp that I need to lose the suitcase all over again to hit the top of the BMI healthy range.

i feel like I’m living a thought experiment

RobinEllacotStrike · 24/03/2025 05:57

@Reginaphalangeeeee
this is where the beauty of MJ really reveals itself to us. Instead of a no loss/post McD’s weekend triggering throwing the towel in & giving everything up, we continue.

Hope you’ve had a good sleep & are refreshed. In this brave new world we don’t give ourselves a hard time, feel unworthy & give up. We drink more water, prepare healthier foods and we persist.

InfoSecInTheCity · 24/03/2025 06:24

@Reginaphalangeeeee Good idea to see the doctor, and focus on water for today and tomorrow to shift any accumulated salt, I’ve stayed the same and gained a few weeks, it’s just part of the process.

@RobinEllacotStrike I felt the same last month when I was lifting the suitcase up steps and into the car. I couldn’t believe I’d been walking around with all that weight on me.

Weigh in day for me and lost 3.1 lbs this week. Have hit 4 stone lost now.

MooBaggage · 24/03/2025 07:20

Random weigh day for me and I've lost 4lbs 😊 So my stats are:

Week 1 SW 20 stone 3 lbs BMI 44
Week 10 CW 18 stone 4lbs BMI 38.9

Yay!! Am sooo pleased and just one more lb for that 2 stone loss!

Slightly confusing though, because this week has felt extra hard, with much less suppression, wine gum dreams and I've been very low too, so found everything difficult - so I was going to move to 6.5mg today, thinking I needed to slightly increase my dose 🙄

I think I'll still increase to 6.5mg and see how this week feels - am not in a rush to keep increasing, but could do with an easier week this week!

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 24/03/2025 08:30

Oh very well said @RobinEllacotStrike!! I had wine with lunch out yesterday and pre-MJ would have come home and opened more. Didn’t even cross my mind!!

@Reginaphalangeeeee off to the go with you and stop beating yourself up about one weekend. One of the MANY things I have learned on the last 9 months is to be a lot kinder to myself and to my body. We all get it wrong occasionally but the power of MJ gets us back up on our feet to try again.

I've lost 2 packets of 🥝🥝🥝🥝🥝in the house.
I've searched high & low - where on earth can they be?

I've lost 2 packets of 🥝🥝🥝🥝🥝in the house.
I've searched high & low - where on earth can they be?

This is one of those situations where I have to recreate the scenario. So you bought them in the shop, and put the bag
a) boot of car
b) back seat
c) passenger seat

check these first.

then you walked into the house and put the bags down
a) just inside the front door
b) on the kitchen counter
c) on the kitchen table

Check there

…………

and that’s how I discover that I’ve done things like left my new shoe insoles on the bathroom floor next to new bottle of toilet cleaner.

Of course there’s also the option that someone else in the house decided over the weekend they wanted to try making kiwi sorbet, kiwi juice, kiwi smoothie etc and didn’t tell you they had decimated your supply.
