Is there actually any threads where people that have lost weight with these injections, once they stop using them maintain that weight without putting weight back on?? Just curious as haven’t seen any myself so does that mean this is for life?

SilenceInside · 20/03/2025 13:24

alwaysscared · 20/03/2025 13:03

So, here I am again, back in a gaining and losing the same 3lbs again 🙄 it’s so frustrating.
I’ve started having an omelette for my tea every other night, 3 eggs, mushroom and sweetcorn with a bit of Fry light. Since I started having it I’ve been feeling rough, surely a bit of Fry light wouldn’t affect me?? Also in that same time frame I started electrolytes so don’t know if it could be them. Anyone else suffered with fried food? It’s literally a little bit of fry light, but could the act of actually frying something affect me??

I wouldn't have thought that the Fry Light would be an issue. I make scrambled eggs and always use a small knob of butter and don't have an issue with that at all. Nor just frying things, especially not an omelette which isn't fried really, just pan cooked. It could be the eggs themselves, maybe?

Could you try a week with a different meal instead of the omelette and see if it makes a difference? Or try a week without the electrolytes instead?

Welcome to the thread @cosmicbabe. We probably aren't the best people to ask as this thread is for people with a lot to lose, so most of us are on very long journeys and not yet at goal. @SilenceInside I’m going to stop the omelettes for a bit and see. And the electrolytes, as my doctor said that my blood test for electrolytes was fine so I don’t really think I need them

SilenceInside · 20/03/2025 13:34

@alwaysscared Agree about the electrolytes, I would only take them if I had bad diarrhoea/vomming that was ongoing and I was struggling to eat anything.

InfoSecInTheCity · 20/03/2025 13:45

Was wondering why all my very well behaved calorie counting and extra exercise wasn’t motivating my scales to give me good news. Then I looked at the calendar and realised my period is due in a few days so all bets are off this week. Ah well, at least I should have a better showing on the scales next week, and can chalk it up to ‘those damn hormones’.

Eggs too often always upset me. I stick to twice a week only. They can also slow your digestion.

Bras are a nightmare! I really struggle as I live in a "shopping desert" so my only options are a, not particularly big, M&S (where I've never had much success) or supermarkets, most of which don't have fitting rooms so I have to buy a load and return them.
There are 2 independent shops within driving distance but neither have much in my size and are unwilling to order stuff in as they are stuck with it if it doesn't fit me so my choice is often something I don't like or nothing at all.
My boobs are like tennis balls in socks these days so I don't even know how I'd measure now!

My J cup boobies mean I have to shop online in places like brvissmo and Curvey k*te.
That said… think I will get lost on measurements as I loose weight as my current bras and stretched out so ordering down may be too tight.

however, always found good return options and exchange of sizes with them.
I think a moulded cup like a T-shirt bra great to give shape (I like satin) but just find something that makes you feel good.

QueenOfHiraeth · 20/03/2025 23:03

@Reginaphalangeeeee At least with a J cup you'll have some volume in your boobies! Pre-children, before I gained weight I was a pert, little B so mine have looked good but always just been made of fat while I've been bigger so, now, they are just hanging like deflated balloons.

I buy the moulded T-shirt bras too as I can stuff them in and have a good shape. I've been great with Asda ones while bigger but am struggling to get the right size now as it's difficult to measure spaniel's ears. Thanks for the recommendations

@alwaysscared I also think it's unlikely to be Fry Light causing you to feel ill although it is evil stuff. It ruins your pans and is really not good for you, a little bit of oil is much better, I have an avocado oil spray which is excellent and adds very few calories

alltablenochairs · 21/03/2025 06:40

This is what a Simple Online Pharmacy parcel looks like. I've scrubbed out the bits that had my address on though, and no, the cooker wasn't on at the time, I was using it as a rest.

After seemingly stalling got a few weeks it's all go now. 2 days ago I was wearing a size 18 dress that I absolutely wouldn't have fitted into not that long ago. It's hard to believe that I am coming close to my next target which is the weight I was when I was pregnant with my now 11 year old. I would have miserably failed at any and all other diets by now.

Hi everyone!

I am seriously starting to mourn the loss of my once magnificent G/H boobies.
Yesterday I decided to sort through my stupidly huge bra collection. Everything 42 and 44 has been boxed up and after trying on way too many I have kept out a few 40s ranging from FF to GG and all the 38s F and Gs.
When I looked in the mirror as I leant forward jiggling and wiggling trying to make my deflated and wrinkly balloons look acceptable back in their small cups, I felt so sad.
At my last breast check the Dr mentioned how dense my boob flesh was, this lulled me into a false sense of security thinking that, if they are mostly flesh not fat then losing weight shouldnt affect them too much.
How wrong was I!
I think I have to accept that losing 4 stone at 56yrs is very different to losing weight at 45yrs, which is the age I was last ths weight.
Not only are my boobs evaporating before my very eyes but my peri induced meno-middle is still firmly coating my ribs in a thick coating of jiggly flab which didnt exist pre early 50s.
I am starting to object to all this getting older rubbish!

Similar to the Oushk branded packaging (who have now back tracked to free plain packaging after complaints). They say it is unbranded yet put both their brand logo and "refrigerate on arrival" on it. It simply (excuse the pun) does not align with their website promise -

"Your privacy matters. At Simple Online Pharmacy, all orders are shipped in plain, unbranded packaging, ensuring complete discretion."

Confused

Another 56yo here! If only Mounjaro reversed our ages too! 💗

Wrinkly balloons is a good description. I am finding scooping my underarm boob into my bra cup in the morning now results in a very wrinkly cleavage 🙈 which then needs smoothed back into the cup.

Might need to start investing in some polo neck sweaters soon. Just as summer approaches 🤣

Oh wouldnt that be lovely, think of all that collagen!
Yes, the wrinkles and smoothing, its just not on is it!
If only MJ redistributed excess fat to act as a filler in areas that needed a bit of a boost, now that would be good!😁

MooBaggage · 21/03/2025 09:17

Also 56 here!

I measured my boobs for a bra soze yesterday (via the Molke method) and they are 40K 🙄 and that's having reduced quite a bit! But I can see that they seem to have dropped over the past 10 weeks somehow, as I've lost some upper boob fat - they no longer bump into my face when I lie down 😄So I think they might also go saggy...😔

SilenceInside · 21/03/2025 10:18

Week 37 weigh in for me.

Starting Weight: 139kg (21st 12 lbs)
Current Weight: 91.4kg (14st 5.5 lbs), was 92.4kg (14st 7.7 lbs) last week
Goal Weight: 90kg (14st 2 lbs) fourth interim goal.

Current pen is 7.5mg, 27 weeks on this dosage.

Another 1kg down, pretty standard for me at the moment, so happy with that.

QueenOfHiraeth · 21/03/2025 12:42

You lot are all spring chickens! I'm 65 and very wrinkly and saggy all over now but the worst bits are my jowls, boobs, bingo wings and thighs which means pretty much all over.
I've just had a coffee with a friend who is also on MJ and she asked if I felt I had lost upper boob fat as she said she has suddenly sagged so it must be similar for all of us.
On the plus side I hit a target this morning and am now overweight instead of obese! First time for over 10 years Smile

MabelSpan · 21/03/2025 12:51

Congratulations on hitting such a fab target, well done @QueenOfHiraeth

Thisshirtisonfire · 21/03/2025 17:50

Just ordered my second pen and have decided to move up to 5 as I'm getting a lot of food noise now. I'm still sticking to calories but it's hard as though I'm not on anything. I had good suppression the first week and some of the second week.

SW: 16st 7lbs
CW: 15st 9lbs
GW: 9st 7lbs

Oh that's amazing well done!! I'll be so happy when I'm just overweight instead of obese. I've been obese a fair few years now. That's a big interim goal for me. You must feel so happy!

InfoSecInTheCity · 21/03/2025 18:20

Happy dancing for you @QueenOfHiraethVery well done indeed!

NewbieMJ · 21/03/2025 22:55

@QueenOfHiraeth - that is brilliant, well done! Long to be overweight and not obese!

Inspired, as always, by everyone's amazing achievements.

I am still plodding on and have, at last, lost 3 and a half stone! Woo hoo. I am a slow loser (averaging half a stone/7 pounds a month, but was 18 stone 11 (now 15 stone 4). I have to say, I eat very well and love the way of life MJ has allowed me to live, so I will take the slow but steady loss.

My boobs are still scoopable into a bra, buy my poor thighs are dreadful - my thighs have always been the worst bit about me, and loose under my upper arms - AKA great bingo wings. Loads of lovely bits too (thin and defined face being the best bit and shapely legs - albeit below the knee😂)

I stupidly ventured onto another MJ thread there and it made me despair. I try to avoid most of them as I hate the disordered eating advice and the ridiculous dietary habits - dangerous and disheartening, so back to my safe place on here. Saw you both giving your usual brilliant advice @InfoSecInTheCity and @SilenceInside It is no wonder that some people are worried about gaining weight post MJ. How the hell are they going to live on noodles and coffee for life?

Thanks again everyone. I apply all of the great tips and really have learned so much from you all and check in most days x

QueenOfHiraeth · 21/03/2025 23:13

@NewbieMJ I have just been reading an article in the Daily Mail about a chap in America who was employed by a medical insurance company and became their poster boy for GLP1 treatment. He is now suing them, claiming all sorts of long term health issues caused by being "overmedicated" and losing weight too fast. There was also an article linked online from The S*n about a woman who developed gallstones and pancreatitis after living on 400cals a day.
It makes me wonder if the idiots living on noodles and coffee will run into bigger problems in their rush to get thinner
