I was anticipating the same @WeAllHaveWings but the "new bra" angels are smiling upon me

SqueakyDinosaur · 19/03/2025 15:40

Another one who's freezing here! MJ definitely hasn't helped with that, but it started when I had chemotherapy, which caused peripheral neuropathy, meaning that my feet are permanently cold (I thoroughly recommend merino wool socks and cashmere bedsocks!). I'm hoping it may make me a bit more able to tolerate heat in summer, because I'm normally suffering at anything over about 25 degrees.

dimples76 · 19/03/2025 17:16

A good day here. I think I posted a few weeks ago about a worrying CT result which suggested potential cardiac problems. Any way I had the other test results back and all were normal, nothing to indicate heart failure. I think that there may be issues in the future but it has made me more determined to shed more pounds and get fitter.

I also need new bras but the thought of bra shopping does not appeal.

InfoSecInTheCity · 19/03/2025 17:20

Bloody hell @RobinEllacotStrike feeling exceptionally jealous, I’ve always found bra shopping to be the thing I’d rather pull my own toe nails out than do. I live in the Sainsburys zip up crop top thinks, have gone from xxxl to XL 😂

I weigh less now than I did when I was 11, so going into bra shopping I was in a 42 band which basically made bra shopping impossible 30 years ago. It hasn’t got much better since and I have no clue what size I’d need now. Should probably tackle that at some point…………although I might just pull my own toes nails out instead…….

RobinEllacotStrike · 19/03/2025 17:28

yes I feel the very same about bra shopping @InfoSecInTheCity
I do have a very nice dress that I will be wearing to a special occassion in 3 weeks and it just doesn't work with the soft stretchy yoga bra style I usually wear. So I was forced into bra shopping and took a (very wishful fingers crossed) random shot at ordering something.

The Blessed Bra Goddess smiles upon me now.

I’m just about at the end of my first week and will be weighing myself on Saturday morning. Have found the food noise is gone and my appetite is much less - all amazing! However, every night I have a headache. Does this happen to anyone else?

Not something I’ve experienced but some common reasons for headaches include:

Dehydration
Sugar withdrawal
Lack of sleep

Are You drinking plenty of water? Around the 2lts a day mark? If not, try to get in the habit, your body uses water for the process of Lipolysis so if you want to break down and expel fat you will need to have plenty of water on hand to do that. It’s also used to heal damaged muscle fibres, so if you plan to increase/introduce exercise you risk water retention if you get dehydrated.

Are you getting enough sleep and have you drastically reduced your sugar intake?

Sleeping well thankfully! I’m drinking lots of water but could probably do better and my sugar intake has drastically reduced.

I did wonder if it could be the sugar thing and I’m having withdrawal symptoms. Have massively reduced my carb intake too so I guess I could be all combined. Hopefully the headaches will pass.

Yes me too! They're particularly bad for the first few nights after injecting and then ease off towards the end of the week.

I'm drinking at least 2 x litres of water a day and have cut out sugar and carbs pretty much completely, so I have no idea why I'm getting them, as it doesnt seem to be a common symptom. I'm tending to take a couple of paracetamol when I go to bed. They're not terrible, just annoying!

Loving the bra talk and am hoping against hope that I too will one day be needing to buy smaller ones!

I converted to Molke bras several years ago and never looked back - even if my boobs shrink, they will always be housed in Molke bras 😄

I definitely need smaller pants now - I do wear big granny pants, but my current ones reach up to my bra now, which my other half finds hilarious.....🙄😄

snoopymcsnooperson · 19/03/2025 21:41

I just injected this morning. Keep waiting to feel… something… but so far so normal 😂

claudiawinklemansfringetrimmer · 19/03/2025 21:55

Weigh day and I’m down 3.5lbs this week, which nicely makes up for last week’s nil loss. Plus a friend at work noticed my weight loss so that was nice. However unfortunately I’ve been struggling with nausea and tiredness the past couple of weeks, not sure why it’s ramped up when I’m on my 6th week of 5mg.

Re: headaches I got some dissolvable electrolyte tablets and they definitely help, I had terrible ones at the beginning too.

QueenOfHiraeth · 19/03/2025 21:59

Bras are a nightmare! I really struggle as I live in a "shopping desert" so my only options are a, not particularly big, M&S (where I've never had much success) or supermarkets, most of which don't have fitting rooms so I have to buy a load and return them.
There are 2 independent shops within driving distance but neither have much in my size and are unwilling to order stuff in as they are stuck with it if it doesn't fit me so my choice is often something I don't like or nothing at all.
My boobs are like tennis balls in socks these days so I don't even know how I'd measure now!

InfoSecInTheCity · 19/03/2025 22:15

Just putting this out there for anyone noticing tiredness, general lethargy, muscle aches and general shittiness feeling over the last couple of weeks that hayfever season has started!

Thats right folks, spring is coming, the sun is starting to poke its head out and the tree pollen has a-started to fly.

i go through this same cycle every year where I get ‘a cold’ in February, wonder why it’s not going away and then realise it’s the fucking hayfever starting again for the year. Add an anti-histamine to the ever increasing daily pill collection, and get ready to shake, rattle and roll with every step,

Yes i got bad headaches the first week.. I had to drink loads of water. I haven't had them in the second week but I'm making sure to keep on top of drinking enough water.

The increase up to 8.75mg has made the world of difference and I've lost 3lb this week and finally broken into the 17s having been stuck in the 18's since the middle of Jan. I'm 2lb off my mini goal which was 4st by today. Hopefully I'll hit it next week and then my next big mini goal will be another 2st off which will have me at my lowest weight as an adult.

I've dropped down comfortably into size 20 clothes and can even do up my size 20 jeans now. Everyone keeps commenting on my weight loss which I find a bit awkward but it's lovely that people notice. I've picked up some size 20 things on vinted to keep me going and had to buy new bras dropping from 44GG to 40F and a size 20 swimming costume, im still kind of amazed that these thing fit. I'm trying not to buy too much as I am too lazy to resell it and don't want to waste money knowing that I'll drop lower.

That's brilliant! I'm also buying bits and bobs on Vinted and also crap at selling, so trying not to go too mad on it..!

Roll on the next mini target 😊

Hi All. Just catching up on the thread as work has been manic this week. I brought my weigh day forward a day as DH and I are going away for the night and I like to weigh in the morning - I’ve lost 4lbs, which I’m really chuffed with as I seem to be going fairly steady. One thing I do need to be careful with is just making sure I’m eating enough as I want to form long term healthy habits. I actually got told off by MyFitnessPal one day! I’m going to try protein shakes, as I’m finding it difficult to get enough protein as a vegetarian. If anyone has any tips I’d love to hear them.

SW: 18st 7lbs
CW: 17st 9.3lbs
Total Loss: 12.1lbs

MooBaggage · 20/03/2025 09:24

I'm struggling slightly more this week - bizarrely feeling hungry and thinking about food more, which is annoying. I've got 4 x more 5mg doses to go, as I was content that 5mg was working, but am now thinking maybe it's time to move up to 7.5mg. Just need to get through the next few weeks - or increase the dose slightly and order a 7.5mg pen?

I'm not eating more though - am managing to stick to my new eating habits, just finding it less straightforward!

Don't worry too much yet if it is just one week, if might come back next week.

30 something weeks on 3.75mg and I get occasional days or longer where I need to use a bit more willpower, then it kicks back in. It might be hormonal, it might be your body calling out for some nutrients it is short of, or reacting to weight loss. Or it might be your body has adjusted to the medication and you do need to go up a dose. I plan to wait until I have a good 2-3 weeks where I can't keep to my deficit before considering increasing.

Well done for sticking with it, hope it is only a temporary blip. Keep going!

MooBaggage · 20/03/2025 11:49

Thanks @WeAllHaveWings 😊 I think I'm also still tired and recovering from the stomach bug I had last week, so feeling a bit 'empty' and fed up in general! Will definitely give it another week or 2 before making a decision re: the next dosage - I have to wait until pay day anyway before placing my next order!

Morning everyone...

Weigh in number 12
SW 20st 9lb (BMI 48.1)
CW 18st 2.8lb (BMI 42.5)
GW 16st 0lb (BMI 37.3) Interim Goal

Total loss 2st 6.2lbs

I've felt I've really had to work at this for the last week and a bit. I've got one more dose in my current 5mg pen and I've got my next pen at 7.5mg ready to go. I am taking my last 5mg dose in tonight think I might do a few more clicks.

I started open water swimming last year and can't wait to start it up again. I need to have a look at my swim suit and I think I may need a new one.

This amazing weather has been great and I've been out walking with the dog and getting my steps in - managed over 12k steps the last couple of days.

So, here I am again, back in a gaining and losing the same 3lbs again 🙄 it’s so frustrating.
I’ve started having an omelette for my tea every other night, 3 eggs, mushroom and sweetcorn with a bit of Fry light. Since I started having it I’ve been feeling rough, surely a bit of Fry light wouldn’t affect me?? Also in that same time frame I started electrolytes so don’t know if it could be them. Anyone else suffered with fried food? It’s literally a little bit of fry light, but could the act of actually frying something affect me??
