Weigh in day again, a small loss again. Not sure what's changed gone from loosing a kg every week to losing 500g if I'm lucky. Still eating well and within calories.

Sw 142.8kg (22 stone, 6 lb and 13.12 oz)
CW 95.6kg (15 stone, 0 lb and 12.19 oz)
Loss overall 46.2kg (7 stone, 6 lb and 0.93 oz)
To go 35.6kg (5 stone, 8 lb and 7.75 oz)
Bmi start 50.8 now 34.0

Was hoping to be in the 14s this week but nope! Feels like it's slowing, I'll keep going but its frustrating it's going to take a lot longer than expected.

@TragicMuse marvellous victory. Up, up and away!

TheZingyFish · 01/05/2025 10:12

Had a catch up with some friends and takeaway last night. Had pizza and cheesy garlic bread, I ate less than normal (definitely a win), but a have felt rotten since. Feels like it is sitting really high in my digestive system and so didn’t sleep properly and still feel uncomfortable now. Think I’ll give pizza a miss for a while again, it didn’t even taste as good as I remembered it from previously.

Weigh in number 30
SW 21st 9lb (BMI 44.8)
CW 17st 1lb (BMI 35.3)
GW 11st 9lb (BMI 24.1)
3lb down this week
Losses so far; 4, 1, 5, 1, 3, 4, 2, 2, 2, 4, 1, +3, 5, 1, 3, 2, 4, 3, 1, 1, 3, 1, 1, 3, 3, 1, 1, 0, 2, 3
Total loss 64lbs / 4st 8lb

Tantalisingly close to finally getting out of the 17s I feel like it's taken much longer than any of the other weight brackets. I've ordered some size 20 bottoms and size 18 tops to see if I can fit into them. I struggle to understand how I can still fit in the same size 22 clothes that I wore 64lb ago, although they are definitely loose.

Billybingbong · 01/05/2025 10:47

4th week weigh in today, a day early as we're just heading off for a few days away, with no access to scales (it will feel very strange not weighing myself every day!). Another 2lb off 🙂

SW 22st 8lb
CW 21st 2lb
GW no idea

This is the stage where I usually start feeling overwhelmed with the mammoth task ahead, and give up. But now, and I don't really know how to explain it, but I just feel happy with my progress, and excited about the journey ahead, looking forward to the little victories along the way.

My first NSV, I've lost 4" from waist already!!

Hope you all have a wonderful long weekend, and enjoy this gorgeous weather. Keep the ice cream ideas coming, I may just treat myself to one while I'm away

WafflingDreamer · 01/05/2025 10:55

@Kay2000 Lollies are generally not that high in calories particularly compared to ice cream. Mini twisters depending on the flavour are between 40-50cals, fruit pastilles lolly is 53kcals. Solero depending on flavour is around 100kcals.

Choc ices are normally 110-140kcals depending on size. I love Tesco strawberry and vanilla cones which are 181kcals. My kids favourite is a crunchie blast cone and comes in around 230kcals
Tescos sell lots of chocolate bar ice cream bars which i think are quite nice for a treat;
Snickers- 171
Bounty - 135
Twix - 124
Malteaser - 128
Mars - 132

😆 I spend a lot of time working out what I can fit into my calories allowance!

@WafflingDreamer I am wondering if I will be able to cope with clothes which actually fit. I am getting used to loose clothes.

Amazing!! Well done - what a great start to your holiday. Do you mind sharing your current weight/dress size? Flying for the first time in years soon and wondering how likely it is I won't need one..
Have a great time away 😀

Amazing! Well done you! You will enjoy your holiday even more now after that victory 🙌

I had 2 NSVs today - first I wore a pretty maxi dress that I dug out from the back of my wardrobe which hasn’t fit me for over a decade - I had so many compliments at work and even one from a stranger in the street!

Secondly, I went for a walk in the park after work - the park is a 25 minute walk away and I barely broke a sweat despite the 26 degree heat. This time last year the sweat would’ve been dripping off me by the bucketload!

Motnight · 01/05/2025 18:50

Surr! I’m 17st 5lbs. 20 in Next dresses, my 24 jeans are falling off my arse so I’d say trousers in a 20-22 ish

TragicMuse · 01/05/2025 19:07

I have walked almost 12000 steps today and burned over 3500 calories. I can eat whatever I want tonight!!

eibbed999 · 02/05/2025 07:25

6th weigh in today. Another 3lb down, which is great I know, especially when it has felt so effortless, but today for the first time I have a bit of a sinking feeling when I think about how far I have to go. I know I'll get there, so many of you have and that's inspiring. I suppose it's natural to feel overwhelmed by the sheer amount of weight left to lose every now and then. And at least this time my reaction to that sinking feeling isn't to order a Maccies breakfast and eat 10 hash browns! I will concentrate on the next goals - getting into the teens not the twenties in terms of stone, and fastening my seatbelt on the plane in July without an extender.

SW: 307lb
CW: 283lb
GW: 168lb (maybe!)

PotatoBreadForTheWin · 02/05/2025 08:05

@eibbed999this thread is great for perking me up when I feel like that! Remember the time will pass regardless and every pound makes a difference

i have been feeling very similar to you. Been at this 7 months now and I am a slow slow slow loser. Compare my stats below to yours and you will see that you are doing pretty well after 6 weeks

SW: 315lbs
CW: 272lbs

i haven’t fixed on a goal weight, it’s too far away. I’d like to get down to a size 14, which i haven’t been in 25 years.

eibbed999 · 02/05/2025 08:07

@PotatoBreadForTheWin - slow and steady wins the race, as they say! We will get there.

Motnight · 02/05/2025 08:49

@eibbed999 @PotatoBreadForTheWin I often feel similar, especially when I read posts from the lovely posters on the other long running thread I am on about being near goal weight when I have such a long way to go. Totally my issue though.

eibbed999 · 02/05/2025 08:52

I think we have to forgive ourselves @Motnight - we're only human, and even though we know we shouldn't compare, or look too far ahead, we sometimes will. I suppose the key is not to let it derail us, and to know the downs will be followed by ups. It took me most of my adult life to get to the size I am, it's only fair it takes a couple of years to lose it!

GnomeDePlume · 02/05/2025 09:08

And each loss is a win in itself.

That 3lb loss is 3lbs less that your body is having to carry. That's 3lbs less on your hips, knees and ankles. 3lbs less your organs are having to keep serviced.

Keep on keeping on. Well done on your weightloss so far. Achieving your goal is a 'when' not an 'if'.

Doggymummar · 02/05/2025 11:26

bless you, 💖 I know how you feel. I've been at this over two years now!! And now the end is closer it just is taking so long!! I'm six stone down, with 4 to go to reach my initial goal of 8 stone 7 but I'm not sure how realistic that is to be honest. Just keep doing your best everyday and those pounds do add up. I might be more an eight stone lose than 10, we will see.

eibbed999 · 02/05/2025 11:29

You are doing brilliantly @Doggymummar - and yes, I suspect my end goal might change too! Amazing what you've already lost though.

TragicMuse · 02/05/2025 11:31

Holidays on Mounjaro discovery:

The whole feeing full quickly thing is REAL! I am in the land of mozzarella. I adore the stuff and could eat a whole one, or more. We bought some last night. I had a bit this morning and that was enough. I wanted to have more but simply couldn’t!

This is interesting! I want to gorge myself on it but the capacity is simply not possible!
