Hi,

Anyone on WLI and in the slow lane v. welcome here for a bit of plodding supportive chat!

Plodders, bobbers, plateau-ers, stallers and stuck ducks come on in! Would be great to chat with others who are in the same boat, ie travelling at the speed of snails on their WL journey.

I have a mountain to move (nearly 5 st), am not ready to give up on Mounjaro yet and would love a bit of company here on this long haul to reach a healthy BMI. 🦥 🐌 🏔️

Come join me if you have a long way to go (either due to slow losses or amount to lose) and would like some peer support to keep going when the scales are being stubborn. It’s hard being on WLI when it’s not working as well for you and progress is slow or stalled. This is a safe space to share anything, the good, the bad and the side effecty. Anything positive (scale or non scale related) as well as freedom to vent and grumble as much as you want

If you taking WLI and trucking along nicely or nearly at your goal weight that is fantastic but please post on a different thread.

Got to be worth a try @tryingtobesogood !

RainbowZebraWarrior · 15/07/2025 14:16

I'm due my 3rd 12.5mg jab this week and have stuck at 87 kilos since 5th June. I can only hope that things move once I'm on 15mg as there's really nowhere else to go.

0ncemorewithfee1ing · 16/07/2025 00:13

It’s really crappy and unfair @RainbowZebraWarrior Hope you get some results soon.

I hope we all do.

Apparently Eli Lilly have higher doses in trials at the moment.

I've just decided to come off it, my BMI is approx 28 and just fed up with feeling nauseous and tired, and the expense etc.

I have a stock of 3 pens in the fridge so I will use that to titrate down I guess. I'm hoping to (if I feel a bit better and have more energy) going swimming etc more and maybe with time get to say BMI 25/26 but am not too bothered.

I'll try not to get back up to BMI 40 plus again though.

Doggymummar · 16/07/2025 21:50

Not sure whether to say congratulations or commiserations @Oranges. 28 IS A great BMI lower than mine ever after over six stone down. If you go careful you shouldn't gain. West wishes

tryingtobesogood · 16/07/2025 21:59

Well done @Orangesandlemons77 at getting so close to goal. 100% get wanting to come off due to the near constant impact MJ has on how I feel.

I’m no where near close enough to a healthy BMI yet so I have to keep plodding on but feel inspired. Hopefully you’ll get to the bmi you want as you titrate down.

Thanks, I can always try again in future if needs be if my BMI heads up too much again, I'm late 40s and not needing to be ultra thin, also thinking of e.g. bones etc

I guess I will see how the hunger goes as well..

OK, here comes my moan😂
I have stayed the same this week but I look different, my clothes are getting looser and looser, and I feel fitter. So ignoring the scales I measured my waist, 10cm off since April when I last measured. I'm chuffed about that.

So the scales are holding out but other things are changing. Hope everyone is having a good week

PlodAlongPolly · 21/07/2025 19:54

Hi all! I’ve been offline a while as has been a mad month and just caught up with the last couple of pages. Sending the same best wishes from me Oranges, you have done so amazingly well to get to your bmi and do feel free to pop bk on here and chat with us plodders as you titrate down and beyond on your journey! 🙂

Still very 🐌 🐌 for me

However I have SEEN the elusive next stone number down! Before it bobbed back up again 🫠 it looks like quite a few of us get the bobbing effect! But it was great to see it and hopefully it might re-appear before the end of the month

Well done, but damn that bobbing effect 🥴

Doggymummar · 22/07/2025 08:06

I get the bobbing effect but as I weigh in pounds it's not so dramatic as seeing the stone change. I think that might be quite motivating I'll look into how to change the scales

Thanks , yeah I wish it would just stay off! Sometimes find the bobbing less noticeable mid-stone, but when it is on the cusp of a new number is tantalising! 😅

Is interesting, maybe weighing in pounds is more neutral? So you don’t register the stone bracket change? I think I’ve found it equally motivating and frustrating bobbing at the cusp of a new number!

Had to do a verification call last week with the pharmacy and felt a bit embarrassed was 2 lbs heavier than what I had put on the form the week before for re-ordering. Period had just started which I told them (I’m sure they couldn’t care less but felt I needed to justify the bobbing! 😂)

So after saying I was going to cancel MJ cos I was fed up with it etc I changed my mind, going to keep going for a while. I am finding a bit more weight loss on 15mg. I'm not eating much though. Trying to have some of those protein drinks.

So I might be here a bit longer :-) plodding along!

No, I have nutracheck set to pounds, always have done so every month I check bmi and stones and pounds am am, oh gosh that's lower than I thought.

tryingtobesogood · 22/07/2025 21:06

I find KGs to be neutral because I can’t do the maths to work out what they are in lbs or stones.

PlodAlongPolly · 26/07/2025 18:41

I think I might start doing the same to switch it up, going to see if my scales can change to either kg or pounds only.

Lovely to still have you with us Oranges! Am glad the 15 is getting things moving for you!

Does anyone know where you can dispose of a full sharps box? Wondering if a pharmacy would take it..

sorry edit for typo

Thanks! In our area the council collects these on a certain day. If you Google the council website maybe it will tell you

Plod plod plod. 1lb away from 2st loss. My body just won’t give it. I mean, eventually it HAS to relent.

Might go up a dose with the next pen.

Orangesandlemons77 · 29/07/2025 19:08

I've decided to stop again for cost reasons, still have 3 pens left though so will continue those and taper down.

Probably still be in the BMI range to start again if I want in future anyway, hmm. I'm on high blood pressure tablets so could qualify at BMI 27.

Hardly eating anything this week on 15mg, still not losing much though. I am very sedentary though due to illness.

Maybe I will start swimming or walking or something as I come off them. I will keep posting how it is going.

womananddog · 30/07/2025 12:47

I am on 15mg and have lost 3 stone (very very slowly - nearly 11 months). I have another stone to lose but have stalled at 11 stone 4. I have just calculated my TDEE and it says that I would have to eat less than 1200 calories a day to lose a pound a week. This is under the recommended daily allowance so I am not sure where to go from here - I have osteoarthritis so exercise is difficult sometimes, but the weight loss helps the arthritis so catch 22
