Hi

I am starting this thread for anyone that is starting their weight loss in March.

I have read a lots of the other threads and have never ordered until today when I looked in the mirror this morning and did not recognise the woman staring back at me, she looked unhappy and ashamed and quite frankly fat.

I got on the scales and worked out my BMI is 32, until 3 years ago my weight was around 9 stone, I am now 13 stone, peri menopause, an under active thyroid, death of a parent and not bothering with exercise and eating too much has left me like this.

My goal is to get to 10.5 stone by the end of May as that is when my son get married, and then keep going.

So who would like to join me, where we can support each other and go onto bigger and better things in life

Which sites are people using to order Mounjaro from?

How have you found them?

I ordered mine from Med Express, submitted the consultation on Thursday morning around 11am and had my pen on Friday at 1pm.

They asked me to re do my photos as well, which I did within half an hour.

They also have referral codes which I used so was £40 cheaper as well.

I used Lloyds pharmacy online. It was recommended to me by my cousin. They've been extremely efficient and I'm happy. I made the initial request and Submitted my ID and weight evidence on Thursday, it was approved on Friday and the pen itself arrived yesterday (Saturday). I've seen that some suppliers don't provide the alcohol wipes but Lloyds did. Plus they offer free support and guidance on diet and other aspects around it.

I know lots of people have used other online places but for me personally it gives me peace of mind to used a recognised, registered and established pharmacy company.

tryingtobesogood · 02/03/2025 11:58

I used Morrisons, submitted everything late Thursday and am still waiting for a delivery date. They were a really good price compared to Boots or Superdrug.

Justformounjaro · 02/03/2025 12:12

This website helps to identify where to buy https://monj.co.uk/mounjaro-price-comparison-by-monj/. If you click on the column heading in the comparison tables, it sorts the prices for you. I used Farmeci, the order came with needles and swabs.

mumofmanydaughterofone · 02/03/2025 12:12

I did my first one Thursday night - had a sicky headache all day Friday and zero appetite - ate a cup a soup and half a bowl of yoghurt but then spent a good hour throwing it all back up again (plus all the water I'd been drinking) since then have felt well and still not much appetite - hopefully that reaction was just a one off!!

SharpOpalNewt · 02/03/2025 12:30

I've had a fairly normal appetite so far but haven't felt hungry in between meals.

Have just had a bacon and egg butty, so let's see what happens!

SharpOpalNewt · 02/03/2025 12:32

I just went for Superdrug as I've used them for private prescriptions before. It didn't really occur to me that there might be a big price difference - d'oh.

Flaitch · 02/03/2025 12:48

So after reading all these threads, undecided when to do my jag as don't want my hunger noise to fall over the weekend, if that makes sense?

SW 13.3
GW 10.3
BMI 30.8 so obese

Have taken all my measurements and pictures today.

I used MedExpress ordered late Tuesday, uploaded a picture Wednesday and it arrived yesterday.

dancemom · 02/03/2025 13:11

I can only assume it's placebo because I only injected this morning but I left a third of my overnight oats this morning and I just returned half of my lunch to the fridge 🤷🏻‍♀️

Fatmumslim01 · 02/03/2025 13:14

Following as hoping to start in march, just need to take the leap and order them! Very nervous!

Trying to work out when would be best day to take them to minimise side effects. Does it have to be the same day each week? I work Mon Tues Fri.

BMI today is 39.8 😱

poppysocks81 · 02/03/2025 15:11

My pen hasn't even arrived yet and I'm already stressing that it's not going to work for me! The food noise is so loud and constant, I just can't believe anything will stop it!!

Sleepeazie · 02/03/2025 15:54

First dose done. I struggled initially to prime, as I hadn’t attached the needle tight enough. But all done.

fingers crossed for limited side effects and for it to work well.

Pipsballoon · 02/03/2025 17:29

First dose done and I wanted to share my experience so far.

I injected late last night as I was going to bed, injection was very straightforward and not even slightly painful, hardly felt it. Slept well, felt a slight hint of nausea when I woke in the night, but was only aware of it because I was looking out for it, that's how slight it was. Felt fine today, usual energy, no nausea.

Now for the best bit. The food noise has gone completely and the appetite suppression is real. I had a banana for breakfast then headed out with DH for the morning, we had a riverside walk, then a coffee, he had cake and I wasn't even slightly tempted. Ate a very light lunch and am still not hungry at teatime, although I will eat a proper evening meal.

If I could do cartwheels, I would be doing a cartwheel. I really hope this continues because there has always been excessive food noise, for as long as I can remember!

Sleepeazie · 02/03/2025 17:45

I had an upset stomach within half an hour of jabbing. I also felt some nausea. I now feel absolutely fine (about 2 hours afterwards).

I also have no food noise already, and more remarkably feel very alert and clear headed! I normally have a constantly chatty head, setting me off on numerous side quests! This is a welcome result.

Oh I am slightly thirstier than normal too.

MamaNewtNewt · 02/03/2025 18:31

I got over the nausea after a nap, which was a relief. Food noise seems to be at a minimum, I sat next to DH while he was eating an ice cream cone and didn't really feel tempted. But then again when I start a new healthy eating kick I often find it easier at the start.

Interesting to see how everyone else is doing so far.

MamaNewtNewt · 02/03/2025 18:33

@Sleepeazie I forgot to say I'm thirstier than normal too, and when I'm really thirsty I normally crave fizzy pop, but I've managed to stick to water - and one ginger and lemon tea when I was feeling queasy. I guess it's a good side effect as I must admit I probably don't generally drink enough.

Flipper1234 · 02/03/2025 18:36

Knock knock, permission to enter please? Just taken my first dose… omg the instructions! Thought I had a faulty pen or had done something wrong as it didn’t say you had to do eleventy billion clicks to hit the magic number 1! But I think I did it right in the end. Didn’t feel the needle going in which was what I was most scared about and no blood but when I took it out the pen said 0.

I’m post menopausal, 58 years old.

SW 191 lb
GW 147 lb, so 44 lb to lose
BMI 32.4

I’m quite active - enjoy walking, yoga, Pilates, but lately been struggling with knee and lower back pain so I’m really hoping Mounjaro helps me lose both weight and pain.

I sooo hope this is me!!! Thank you for giving me hope!!!

soupforbrains · 02/03/2025 20:18

So I took my first dose late last night. The process was straightforward and painless. I slept well last night and woke up today feeling fine.

I don't usually eat breakfast so it wasn't entirely surprising that I wasn't hungry. However when it reached 2pm and I still hadn't even thought about food I was pretty amazed.

I'm not sure what I was expecting but I was definitely expecting it to take a bit longer to 'kick in'. And I think I expected it to just make me not feel hungry rather than actually make me feel full and the thought of food unappealing.

I have however also been surprised by the eggy burps. They just seem endless and today I was socialising with friends it I felt so embarrassed. I've also had a little nausea this evening but nothing major although my stomach has been 'gurgling' a lot.

I'm hoping that all of this is just an adjustment phase and will go away because I don't feel great overall right now.

Tranquilitybaby · 02/03/2025 21:08

First dose done! Eek - please let it work 🙏

Is it right you don’t store it back in the fridge once opened, just in a cupboard?

Thanks x

good luck everyone!

TryingMJ · 02/03/2025 21:10

Hi guys, enjoying reading through everyone’s posts. End of my second day today and I just feel full, don’t feel any hunger. I am counting calories and still do think “ooh I could just scoff a bag of crisps” but then I haven’t. It was my daughter’s birthday party today and I didn’t have any cake! What I feel like is- I feel as full as I would’ve done from a binge when I’ve only eaten a small amount.

Flamethrowers · 02/03/2025 21:23

Hello!
first dose moujano (or whatever it's called) yesterday
5 foot 4 and 74 kilos, bmi 28 and high cholesterol. Also under active thyroid
goal is fit into my size 14 clothes glowingly by the summer including size 14 knickers!
eat the same as ever today and felt mildly sick. Didn't want coffee though which is very odd for me
have foot injury which is hampering exercise and I don't want to look all droopy skinner from loss of muscle.
any tips for strength training appreciated!

Is this true?

soupforbrains · 02/03/2025 21:31

@Flamethrowers @Tranquilitybaby yes. The paperwork in mine says that they are fine at room temperature for 30 days. So they say they have to be in the fridge until first use. But after the first use the 4 doses will be on day 1,8,15,22 so well within the 30 days.

Tranquilitybaby · 02/03/2025 21:56

Odd question, when injecting did anyone almost get a bitter taste in the mouth, almost if you can taste the medication? As soon as I injected, could sense a bitter taste in my throat.
