@TheChosenTwo are you happy with how you look now? Could it be a long stall instead?

Can I ask... does anyone else still need to use the bathroom ALOT? I still seem to have the 💩 all the time.... I go up a dose and its worse... eases off after a couple of weeks but then something triggers it and its back to near liquid again which lasts a week or two at a time! I think its my one real side effect.

AnneinEdinburgh · 08/05/2025 09:40

@Fizzleawayyy1 Yes re bathroom. Like you I get the watery runs 2 days after jabbing. By the end of the week I am at the opposite extreme and nothing moves. So glamorous!

I get the watery runs but it seems to last the whole week and then I have to jab again kind of thing, It sometimes gets back to normal but then I need to move up a dose so it gets worse again!!

Its not enough to make me stop MJ but I would like to have some normal bowel habits for a while ha

Letshavetea1 · 08/05/2025 11:16

@Mincepieinthesky Congratulations! That’s fab - you must be so delighted. Such a huge weight loss. BMI is great too - gives you a nice buffer. I don’t think I dare stop completely when I get there! @HansHolbein i can’t believe I’m thinking about maintenance either!
@recklessgran enjoy your baby show with your girlies! I expect it’s a stall - keep going! I think the gradually going up will help @igivein - glad you had a nice holiday and lost weight too! Well done! @TheChosenTwo - you’ve done brilliantly. I wonder if going up might give you a boost and help you by giving you a bit of wiggle room before you come off? I’ve just titrated onto 7.5mg and am now losing again. 11 stone 6.5 lb this morning (bmi 25.9). So just behind you! Was stuck for ages on my last couple of pens.
@Fizzleawayyy1 - good for you. That’s fab. It is stressful - but it’ll be worth it. Sorry about the hassle with the bathroom. Would you consider going to see the other house sooner to register your interest? In our are things go very quickly - what’s it like where you live?

7.5 mg is working for me. Suppression is right up again. I’m having to ensure that I eat my protein and fibre (mainly veg, salad and fruit, plus some oats at breakfast with seeds etc). Feeling slight nausea again especially on day three. Constipation also paying me a visit again! So glad I titrated up slowly as I think I’d have felt dreadful if I’d moved straight up to it. Delighted to see the scales moving slightly again! Won’t hold my breath though that it will continue! 6.5 lb to first goal of a healthy bmi of 24.9 at 11 stone! Then I’ll book that maintenance call with Oushk.

DeltaAlphaDelta79 · 08/05/2025 11:48

Ok, so 3 days into my first lot of 15mg and my God, the cold! I know its a side effect, and I have felt cold before now, but this is something else. Last night, I had two layers on, plus a blanket while sat on the sofa with the gas fire on and I was still cold!

Also, general nausea, again which I have had before but I have not eaten anything apart from toast since monday and just not fancied anything else. When this has hit before it usually wears off after a couple of days, so hopefully this will be gone by the weekend.

And despite the lack of eating, I have definitely had an upset stomach and diarrhoea not commensurate with the amount of food I have eaten. I have had this before at lower levels, and it has worn off fairly quickly, so I am hopeful that this will too!

I have another 4 weeks of the 15mg pen left (assuming I take the bonus dose) and the second 15mg already in the fridge (I ordered another from a different supplier as there have been supply issues and I am on holiday when my first pen runs out, so did not want the hassle when i got back!)

None of this is anything I have not had before, but seems slightly more pronounced since starting the 15mg. Will keep you all posted - not so much the TMI stuff tho. 😂

igivein · 08/05/2025 12:05

That sounds a bit horrible @DeltaAlphaDelta79 , hope it calms down soon.

DeltaAlphaDelta79 · 08/05/2025 12:41

Thanks @igivein I have been here before, so not something I am too bothered about, but it was probably going from 5 to 7.5 or 7.5 to 10 when it happened last so thought I was over it all now!

Fizzleawayyy1 · 08/05/2025 15:09

@DeltaAlphaDelta79 You just reminded me I needed to order my next pen! I have a whole pen spare but don't want to miss getting one when they have them in stock at the cheaper price! and I'm due to order one anyway, I don't like the gap getting too big in case they refuse me!

@Letshavetea1 We are now viewing the house tomorrow before we leave. If we like it we should be able to get ours on the market by Thur at the latest so iv just booked off the earlier part of the week just in case to get our house together for pictures.

If it sales before we can get ours on the market then its just not meant to be and that's ok!

Letshavetea1 · 08/05/2025 17:07

@DeltaAlphaDelta79, sorry you’re not feeling great. I hope it picks up for you soon.
@Fizzleawayyy1 - that’s fab. I think you’re doing the right thing getting an earlier viewing. Please update with how it goes!

I think its my one real side effect.

I’m really happy with how I look now but I was happy with how I looked before - I just knew I wasn’t healthy and my heart was under strain. I had also recently found out about a heart condition my dad carries which could be hereditary. That combined with some other family health news was the incentive I needed to order. With insulin resistant PCOS I wasn’t likely to lose it without medication!!
it might be a long stall but I’m tall and probably am just meant to sit around this weight. But coming off it will mean the hormones are out of whack again and things will slide in the wrong direction very quickly 😂
I think I’m leaning towards just sticking with the 10 again.

TheChosenTwo · 08/05/2025 20:07

Oh and to answer the second part of your post I have never had the shits on MJ! I’ve always been a bit of a constipated person, maybe go twice a week and that’s also been consistent all the way through my MJ journey too!

Fizzleawayyy1 · 09/05/2025 08:40

@Letshavetea1 - I live in a village but houses selling in the village are hit and miss. Some stuff seems to be hanging around a while and others seem to go really quickly. There's a few houses that have been on for a year (they seem to go on and off with different agents) but other stuff comes up and goes fairly quickly...
From speaking to the agents yesterday it seems the people in the house we want are in a similar position to us in the way that another house has come up in the village they want so have put their house on for it.

Fizzleawayyy1 · 09/05/2025 08:45

Just weighed today (a day early as I'm going away this afternoon) and iv lost 4lbs this week! Deserved as I lost nothing last week and was good all week.

I'm really starting to be able to see the difference now over the last month. I just look slimmer overall now. Feel a bit more like me again now.

Shot day today... 7.5mg jabbed.... debating going up to 10mg soon.

@TheChosenTwo Maybe you are just at the place you are meant to be at now weight wise!

@DeltaAlphaDelta79 I hope you are feeling better soon and warmer!! I still feel the cold a lot but its eased off with the warmer weather.

Letshavetea1 · 09/05/2025 10:30

@Fizzleawayyy1 - we live in a village too and the houses that are on the best roads and are priced right are selling. Doesn’t always seem to be about condition. Others hang around especially if overpriced or on the two main roads to the village. I’m pleased for you with the weight loss! That’s impressive.

HansHolbein · 09/05/2025 20:29

Good evening!

@DeltaAlphaDelta79 Glad 15 is going well... ish. Gosh I am so cold too. I think I will finally freeze then if I try 15! I've been fucking freezing since October. Like you, I am hoping that this means summer won't be like 7th circle of hell like it usually is. Keep us updated...

@recklessgran Hope you had an amazing time today with your family and enjoyed all the stalls! Sorry about your plateau... again. You've done so well to keep going, I know it's been hard for you.

@Mincepieinthesky Wow! Target! So happy for you. Have you got a new wardrobe yet? There's so much out there. I want to buy it all lol.

@igivein The past two weeks have flown by! What a relief to have actually LOST weight! I bet you were dreading that weigh in. Such a boost when you know you don't need to spend the next month sorting that out. Hope you had a wonderful time; was it hot?

@TheChosenTwo Hmm. Tricky situation. I know what you mean about feeling like your body has a point where it's like NOPE, WE ARE STAYING HERE! Whilst being stuck, at least you feel like you're in control and things are stable, especially with PCOS. You don't have to rush your decision, you're right. You have the 12.5 as back up.

@Fizzleawayyy1 God, same. In the past as soon as I'm off the wagon, it goes completely nuts and it's like I am a magnet for weight gain! Then takes forever to get the bastard thing off! New-loo-house-decluttering-onthemarket sounds like a good plan. Moving is truly awful. Never again. Hope house viewing went well! Re my bum... sorry, no. I'm still doing rabbit pellets! Have a lovely time away. 4lbs, woohooooooo! So happy for you as I know it's been annoying you for a while!

@Letshavetea1 Glad 7.5 is treating you well and the scale is moving!

I'm now 10st 2lbs, so I've lost just over 6st! Amazing really. Another stone to go and then I'm done. I think this will be the hardest part. Last stone always is. My only side effects have been 1) freezing and 2) apathy towards food. It's all boring and I really have to encourage myself to eat. I open the fridge/cupboard and shut it again. Nothing is appealing and it's all very... meh. I have zero interest in anything apart from water/tea/meat/fruit/vegetables. Even meat is difficult; I'm not a big meat eater at all. I'm not having much dairy so I have been eating more cottage cheese and drinking some milk... but yeah, sometimes it is a concern. Eating is such a social and loving thing to do with people and it's thrown me a bit. I'm seeing my dreaded mother on Sunday for breakfast and I already can't be arsed. No idea what I am going to eat because I just don't care.

Sorry about all that word salad!

We usually go away at the weekend but this weekend we are staying at home. I've got lots of stuff to do that I have been putting off. I have an MRI scan on Sunday morning (long story) so will be good to get that out of the way. Can't have any metal on me, I guess I go braless then?! Or maybe a crop top... if I have one. Maybe I can whip the bra off before I go in...

Anyway, hope you all have a lovely weekend whatever you are doing. Weather is going to be nice. I was up at 5am this morning (fucking birds - what are they talking about at 4am? GO TO SLEEP!) so I'm off to bed! Night all x

DeltaAlphaDelta79 · 09/05/2025 20:52

@HansHolbein I do not normally cope well in the heat of even British summers, so I was hoping this will be a good side effect. Altho, unfortunately it seems that the cold seems to be more exaggerated when I am in cool surrroundings (such as being indoors in the shade) and not when I am in direct sunlight 😬

The other side effects seem to have abated as the week has gone on, so the next couple of weeks will tell if its just going up to 15 that has done it, or if indeed 15 is just too much for me.

lickycat · 09/05/2025 23:59

6 stone @HansHolbein OMG! It’s incredible! Well done you!

Well this morning I weighed and I’m no longer obese! I’m over 2 stone down and overweight, and I’m thrilled about that.

Still a slow loser (1lb per week on average) with 2 stone still to go. Last week I took the bonus dose from my 12.5 pen, and it was 6.6ml so actually 13.75mg dose. I’m starting the 15pen tomorrow and I’m a bit nervous there’s nowhere to go after that!

Sunblocker · 10/05/2025 06:31

Another stall!
I have been the same weight for a month now. After 2 weeks of terrible constipation, things have moved (thank God) and I thought the scales would show it but just jumped on and I’m still 13st 11lb! I’m on 10mg and don’t want to move up in case my bowels protest again!
Started at 17st 7 in October 9th, although I was 18st 1lb at my heaviest a couple of months before starting , so I know I’m doing okay but this is my second long stall.
I’ll go back to tracking consistently as I’ve got out of the habit. I know these stalls are normal but it’s so frustrating! I’ve been under calories for over a week so it’s hard to get my head around!

Letshavetea1 · 10/05/2025 06:58

@HansHolbein - that’s amazing! Six stone! Wow! You’ve done so well and you should be so proud of yourself. I agree the last stone might be slow - I’ll be doing mine alongside you.
You get shown to a cubicle to put on a gown for an MRI - so you’ll be able to take your bra off then. I had a knee MRI and that’s what happened to me.
I know what you mean about the eating. I find chicken is the best. Sometimes salmon or other fish. Pulses suit me better and I cook with them a lot - slow cooker casseroles, soups (eg minestrone), lentil cottage pie etc. Good for getting the protein and veggies in.
@DeltaAlphaDelta79 I feel the cold too at the best of times and it has been worse since on MJ. In the recent cold spell I had to resort to layers and resist putting the heating back on!
@lickycat - That’s fantastic news - well done. I’m a slow loser too - average half a pound a week - so we’ll both be here for a while yet! I hope the 15mg goes well.
@Sunblocker - these stalls are horrible - I’ve had a couple of major ones. You will get there though - it’s just keeping going that’s hard when the scales are the same isn’t it? I did find reading the set point research helpful - I expect you’ve seen or listened to it?

Sunblocker · 10/05/2025 07:19

@Letshavetea1 Yes, someone posted an article a while ago and it was so helpful. It always seems to be once I go down into the next stone bracket. I’ve been over 17st for about 8 years, so no wonder my body is in shock! Will give it another read.

EVK · 10/05/2025 07:46

@HansHolbein the birds just love a morning song song! wow - you’re incredible! 6 stone down! Fabulous. I found the last held stone really stone but then I’ve also only lost about 3 stone ! Last few pounds took an age - I was on 5mgs so maybe that partly explains it - I don’t know - 🤷 still had good suppression and was able to eat well but all healthy choices. I liked 5mg and losing slowly because I could eat and enjoy my food! Ta week with no MJ now which I know is nothing😅 but pleased I’ve managed to stay at 8.7lbs I’m definitely finding I can eat more and so have to be mindful of how much I put on my plate! Feeling positive so far and managing to avoid any snacking, not difficult and I’m not unusually hungry or anything like that! Weird feeling in my right side has gone ! Was it the beginning of inflamed pancreas ?!!!! Or was it part of my rib injury ?! That too is much better so probably but it’s nice to not be feeling paranoid about some imminent doom on the horizon ! @Sunblocker your stall will not be forever - if you’ve still got good eating habits and you’re managing to maintain the loss - that’s a win- it will move again. Just stay consistent, keep up the exercise of some sort and drink lots of water. Keep the faith! @letshavetea your menu sounds good, must get into my lentils and pulses!

icantgetnosheep1 · 10/05/2025 08:08

Morning all, happy weekend! Looks like it’s going to be a nice one. Stepped on the scales this morning 8st 5lbs 🤷🏼‍♀️ another pound off my big toe.. to be fair it’s been a rollercoaster week with the merger announcement and a whole host of emotions! Not sure how I sat through that meeting on Tuesday (poker face didn’t work )!! Amazing work @HansHolbein 6 stone 🙅‍♀️ I’ve also had an MRI on my knee the machine is noisy which I wasn’t prepared for.. I laid there thinking how could someone design such an amazing piece of technology that can see inside our bodies but make it so dam noisy!! Hope it goes well. Congratulations @Mincepieinthesky on reaching target! Summer ready - isn’t it the best feeling? Keep going @recklessgran up the dosage a little bit and push on through, that loss after a stall is so worth it. I hope you had a wonderful time at the baby show.

recklessgran · 10/05/2025 10:08

Morning all.
Love reading all your updates and hearing how well everyone's getting on. It's so uplifting feeling all the joy in your posts and it's one of my morning rituals to come here and start my day in such a positive way!

For my part I'm still here and hanging on. I've been a bit out of sorts all week with my increased dose so will definitely be sticking at 4 mgs this week. A sneak weigh in seems to indicate I can expect a small loss tomorrow - my losses are very hard won that's for sure but I'm determined to keep going. I had masses of blood tests earlier in the week and they all seem to be O.K. now after that recent scare so I'm happy with that outcome.
For those of you who might be interested, I'm sorry to say that the baby show itself was really disappointing and I was very underwhelmed. I don't know what I expected but I imagined I would be showering my girls with baby clothes, toys etc and that maybe they would get a few free samples or discount vouchers at least, but no, that wasn't the case. There were hardly any clothes or toy stalls at all but bizarrly some rather odd additions unrelated in my view - dog food anyone? . DD5 was happy though as she settled on the travel system and cot she'd like and found the numerous displays of those very helpful. I loved spending the day caring for DGD while the girls chatted and bonded and DD3 was able to really help DD5 with her decisions being currently at the baby coal face. So regardless of the show content, a lovely day with my darling girls!

lapuf · 10/05/2025 10:51

6 stone is fucking mega @HansHolbein! so proud of you Halo

Mincepieinthesky · 10/05/2025 12:46

@HansHolbein wow 6 stone so so amazing, well done 🤩
When I started I decided to save my share of takeaways/treats/alcohol I’d have been having before so when I reached target I could have a proper shopping spree to celebrate. Embarrassed by how much money I was wasting on shit to eat, but heading to Bicester Village on Monday to buy some nice clothes 🥳

So so glad I decided to go on MJ, though my biggest takeaway from weight loss has been how differently people talk to me/treat me/acknowledge me now I’m slimmer compared to when I wasn’t.
