Wow who would have thought it

We are doing so well. 7mths

Hugs all the auggies and all of us have lost a fair amount of weight

Some still have weight to lose myself included

Equally a few are nearing their healthy bmi or have reached it and thinking about maintaining

And all I can say is an elephants penis 😂😂😂

My thoughts were IQ doctor or cloud.. I'm still bmi 27.2 . So still in the porky state too. Haha.
Still can't see that another 1 stone 4lb I will be a healthy weight, I still feel very fat..

My order was for a 10mg, but at this rate I shall have to order another 7.5 as it seems to be my sweet spot, struggle for 1 or 2 days after but then can eat good healthy full calories rest of the week with 1 side effect.. fucking freezing!!! .

Slimhopes · 12/02/2025 21:11

My last few pens have been from the family chemist and they’ve been really good, it’s been sent out within a day of approval.
has anyone had bad stomach cramps a few days after injecting ? I had my first dose of 12.5mg on Sunday and had been fine until lunchtime today and then had terrible stomach cramps on and off for the rest of the day. Feels mostly fine now, no other symptoms. Nothing that I’ve eaten, very boring week of regular food.

Nicecuppatea2025 · 12/02/2025 21:15

Hope you don’t mind me hopping onto this thread. I’m about 6 months behind you brave lot (week 3!).

If you don’t mind, I’d love to ask how you are all feeling 6 months down the road? Is there anything you would change? Anything to be ready for?

WorriedRelative · 12/02/2025 21:27

Bloody hell, there you all are!!! Lost you for a while!

morbidcuriosity · 12/02/2025 20:29

Nope, not got that email.. had a button I could download GP letter, so gathered it was up to me to tell them.
I just got email saying dispatched and out for delivery for 12th.
I shall email them when I receive it, probably royal mail fault, but I will tell them I don't want to pay 6.99 postage for a date that they don't actually do.

I may look into other maintenence places as its just annoyed me..

That's terrible! Send them a WhatsApp as well +44 7301 001050 xx

Hello @Nicecuppatea2025 ! Six months down the line, I'd feel reassured that all the nerves and most of the side effects most of the time will wear off. Depending on how much you have to lose, I'd say settle in for the long haul, don't expect to go down dress sizes for a while and keep up the fibre! Don't be afraid to change your dose incrementally and as it suits you. Good luck!

weaselyeyes · 12/02/2025 23:08

I just ordered another pen from IQ doctor (I order one every time my credit card issues a new statement 😀). Bearing in mind I've got two new 5mg in the fridge to use after I've finished the current one, I boldly went for a 7.5. @Blondeshavemorefun will be proud of me. Not sure I'll get up to that weighty dose, but thought just in case I'd get one in stock. I'm hoping by then I might be feeling near maintaining, but am pretty sure I'll keep to a (hopefully lowish) dose for a long old while after I hit goal weight. If I'm not at goal by then, I might need a higher dose!

Thank you! That is great to hear!

I’m also curious if things like pelvic floor and general aches and pains improve with weight loss?

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/02/2025 23:23

Same @morbidcuriosity if I get down to 11s which I was 20yrs ago and a size 12 I would be very happy

but I can’t see how losing the last 2s will make me from a 17 (as not fitting into 16 ffs) to 12 and healthy weight

I’m still fat and overweight now

weaselyeyes · 12/02/2025 23:32

@Nicecuppatea2025 I've had a lot of pain in my hips, back and legs due to arthritis in my spine, and that's almost completely gone, which is amazing! I think this is more due to the MJ and its anti-inflammatory properties than weight loss, as it improved loads before I lost significant weight, but the continued improvement has been great and I feel much more sprightly. I think because EVERYTHING is attributed to being overweight, it's hard to tell what causes what until you lose some. I've been exercising throughout, but that's definitely easier now I'm a bit thinner, so there's some all round benefits, I think, from - weight loss, MJ and exercise.

weaselyeyes · 12/02/2025 23:33

@Blondeshavemorefun I think those last 2 stone will take longer to lose but will have a much bigger impact on your size/measurements than the previous 4 stone.

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/02/2025 23:52

@Nicecuppatea2025welcome. Hope you enjoyed the elephants 😂

Take pics and measure - many of us did (I did) but some didn’t

sometimes you don’t lose weight but do lose cm

ready for - varies - for some like me mj didn’t really take effect till 10 - yes I lose weight but more due to fact I was counting cals and less in

im a rare bred that don’t usually have any symptoms but also don’t have huge suppression. I do maybe for a day or so ,some weeks - around day 3/4 but then this week I haven’t at all and on 12.5 and tomorrow is day 7

then we have our little gentle wee souls like little Crustain @NippyNinjaCrabwho struggles to go over 4/5 and lost weight on a low dose

but I also don’t have nausea or the shits like some do. Yes I have the odd day of feeling sick and to begin with grapes didn't like me but fine with them now

I also eat chocolate /crisps every day. Many can’t even think of eating crap foods but I don’t seem to have that shut off butting that mj does on some people

they talk about food noise. How mj shuts it off. It doesn’t for me

it really does effect us all in different ways

do join the feb group as they will give you support as at the same stage as you are

we have all said on auggies thread that we are supportive and have helped each other - many don’t know we are on mj in the real world so nice to chat to those who are feeling the same way we are

@Slimhopes sorry have a poorly tummy

@WorriedRelativei did link this on old thread

@weaselyeyeswell done for being bold

@Nicecuppatea2025yes it does seem mj helps with pain and inflammation - I have arthritis in ankle knee and hips and def noticed a diff within a month or two and obv has t lost that much weight by then

i don’t really ache much now so if for nothing else I would love to always be on mj tho a lower cheaper dose ideally just so no pain

just seen @weaselyeyeshas written the same as me about pain

qns god I hope these last 2s make a huge diff in sizing

I was really behind so probably missed it. I've had an awful cold/flu bug that I am still not over so I've not been concentrating very well.

Morning all, nothing makes me jump up quicker than a vomiting mutt 😂 ALWAYS on the flipping rug man!!

@Nicecuppatea2025 hey welcome, my tips are...
Drink lots of water
Have deflatine or winzeze handy
Also Peppermint and ginger tea
Eat plenty of fibre
Make sure you are also changing your eating habits, clean eating, portion control, lots of protein.
If you feel good on a dose and are losing weight don't feel you have to go up.
Take pictures and definitely take measurements even every 3 months.
Good luck xxx

NippyNinjaCrab · 13/02/2025 07:56

Ps yes losing the weight has helped my joints, I have arthritis and do take Naproxen daily but MJ has helped with it too. X

Edited to add, don't overload your tummy, eat slowly, your digestion is slowed down with MJ so food can feel it's in your intestines a while, bread is really a no go for me. @Nicecuppatea2025

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/02/2025 09:01

@NippyNinjaCrabpoor pup. Assume not knob dog or you would say - also on naproxen. I had to stop it and the co codimal the other week for an ankle /knee consult so for 48hrs

i was so stiff and struggled to get up the hill to dd school so naproxen and co c def does something and helps with pain

where bread is no issue with me

yes drink water. Forgot that. 2litres a day

someone put up a thing about fat cells and water

Had a lovely NSV this am. I am feeling a bit mer at my slow weight loss /lack of size shrinking

Walking to school and saw an old biddy I often see but haven't for a while

Look at you little shrinking minny

I said I haven't lost that much

She said you have. You look so much slimmer - I notice as I don't see you a lot

Then laughed and said I need to shrink my mouth and cackled again and said I say what's on my mind and you have def shrunk

I said thank you

I still don't really see it. I know I have obv lost weight but when I do my side By side I don't see a huge diff due to chunky thighs and tummy

I saw a pic on another thread 3david I think her name is or something like that

She has lost 6s and looks bloody amazing / her first pic looks like my first pic. Her 2nd. Wow so slim and skinny - def envious

I do hope the last 2s which will prob take ages to come off actually make me look slimmer.

Good morning all. Wishing everyone the best for rest of week and weekend. Still trying very hard to cut down on phone use but not doing too well! I had another sneaky weigh in this morning and was a tiny bit under 9 stone so definitely going to try and get to 8 stone 11 (top of my healthy BMI) before my trip in 3 weeks. I thought I would look gaunt at under 9 stone but I have a round face!
As mentioned before, having a ton of family related stress at the moment. First time on MJ I really wanted to emotionally eat...popped into local supermarket but resisted!! Last night for tea I had 4 Sainsbury's taste the difference haddock fish fingers plus petis pois ..that felt like a naughty treat but it only added up to 540 calories. The fish fingers were big! I generally eat 2 meals a day so I was under 1000 calories...nice easy and cheap meal as it was under £4 for 8 fish fingers.
Bye for now and have a good day!

Azuresky68 · 13/02/2025 09:24

@Blondeshavemorefun thats a great NSV!! Well done and keep on going....you are the glue that holds this thread together and also you make me giggle too 😅 I might have fallen by the wayside if it hadn't been for this thread and all the lovely people on it. Happy Galantine's Day to everyone. I am off to see Bridget Jones film next week with a friend. Seeing the BF today and tomorrow but he says he only time he bought a Valentine's card was when he was at school!

WorriedRelative · 13/02/2025 09:31

Lovely NSV Blondes, so nice that she noticed and commented in a nice way.

troppibambini6 · 13/02/2025 09:56

Hello everyone! I've not been on for ages and searched to find you lovely lot......To be met with a big elephants nob!!!
Is it wrong I'm slighted peeved to have got to penis level yet and to be slightly disappointed with a hale bale and a few extra strands?!

SW 14.4
CW 10.9
GW who bloody knows at the moment!

My loss is 51lbs and I originally thought I wanted to get to 10 stone but my god this last bit is bloody hard!!! I'm on my seventh dose of 12.5 and it is working so don't need to go up but it's soooooo slow!

I think I realistically I need to get my not as fat arse off the sofa and move more but I'm definitely lacking motivation. Part of me is thinking of sticking at 10.7 for now. I'm 5"8 so not a bad weight. The last time I was 10 stone I was in my 30s and I'm 47 now maybe I'm aiming too low?

WitchDancer · 13/02/2025 10:00

@morbidcuriosity I hope you get your refund. Knowing them they'll probably have something in the small print about it not being guaranteed though

@lookathatbookcase December birthday here so I'm the odd duck

@morbidcuriosity I wonder why we get so cold? I bet there's a proper reason but I put it down to loosing the fat layers

@Slimhopes I do occasionally get stomach cramps but it's usually when I haven't drunk enough water.

@Nicecuppatea2025 I would calorie count from day 1, plus take my measurements. The sulphur burps are horrible so be prepared for that. I take peppermint capsules and drink peppermint tea, which has settled it down. My aches and pains are better than they were but I don't know if that's the MJ or because I lost weight. I hope MJ works well for you with few side effects.

@weaselyeyes get you, going up to the giddy heights of 7.5! I was so much better on 7.5 than 5, why I don't know 🤷‍♀️

@Blondeshavemorefun we may still be fat but we're less fat than we were!

@NippyNinjaCrab always the rug that can't be put through the machine too! I miss my pets very much but then again I don't miss the 0 to 100 out of bed because of that

@Blondeshavemorefun we are the last to see a difference in ourselves and am our own worst critic. It's lovely when someone says stuff like that though isn't it! I would be on a proper high afterwards

@Azuresky68 I try to have a jigsaw or crotchet or something similar on the go so I'm not constantly picking up my phone to doom scroll. It's a proper addiction isn't it Confused The fishfingers sound lovely, thank you for sharing.

I know how to live it up on Valentine's Day - a sleepover with 10 kids from my Scout group. First time camping (indoors) for most of them and the first time staying away from home. Hopefully we don't get too much home sickness 🤞I've been asked to bring chocolate brownies, plus DH has asked for chocolate cookies, so I guess I'm baking today then. I'm going to ensure I stay within my calories though!
