@slimhopes I discovered the Sienna jeans elsewhere on Mumsnet and recommended them along with someone else. I don't spend my whole bloody time adjusting them or pulling them up! Vinted is great for them!!

Slimhopes · 09/02/2025 18:06

Thanks for the recommendation @PoemsForTea it must have been your conversation about them that I saw😁 they’re fab, I’m always so pleased when i wear them ! Oh I’ll look on vinted, I’m in a size 12 and got a blue and a black pair but hoping they’ll be too big for me over the next few months

owlyboo · 09/02/2025 18:14

Well done @Timetochange24 ! Very good choices!

Huge change well done @whethertheweather

Well done @Slimhopes

Oh looks yummy @NippyCrab

Didn't get up to much today... slow one.

PoemsForTea · 09/02/2025 18:48

Does anyone use nutritional yeast at all? I've seen it in some recipes but wonder if anyone adds it to anything in its own right?

NippyNinjaCrab · 09/02/2025 18:58

@Slimhopes Are the sienna jeans straight legs? I got the Eva flare ones. I'm going to have a look on Vinted just now. @PoemsForTea it was sooo nice, I love the gonks, I'll never look at any elephant the same again 😂😂
You looks amazing! @whethertheweather
Welcome @Cowey hope you get on okay, it's changed my life.

NippyNinjaCrab · 09/02/2025 18:59

I've not heard about nutritional yeast at all @PoemsForTea x

I use nutritional yeast sometimes @PoemsForTea. I've been vegetarian for over 35 years and go through phases of whether I feel like eating cheese. If I'm in a 'gone totally off cheese' phase, I use nutritional yeast as if it was cheese, sprinkled on top of veg chilli, Bolognese etc.

It tastes a bit nutty to me.

Slimhopes · 09/02/2025 19:35

@NippyNinjaCrab yes they’re straight leg and very comfy

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/02/2025 19:44

Look how trim you look @whethertheweather

eell sone @Slimhopes for loss

late lunch sounds lovely @NippyNinjaCrab

@whethertheweather wow what a difference!

@PoemsForTea - I use it, mostly for DD honestly to help me feel slightly better on the days she just wants to eat rice. But when I remember I add some to my own food - if I’m making any savoury baking, and it’s nice on eggs I find.

@NippyNinjaCrab that meal looks delicious!

I measured my waist out of interest today, then remembered I’d started to do this last year so I looked in my phone and found I’d actually made a note on this day exactly a year ago! Anyway I’ve lost about 3.5 inches, which doesn’t really seem much after 3 stone loss (although this time last year I was a bit ‘down’, I’d lost 2 stone the previous year and hadn’t quite put it all back on by Feb!)

Today I’ve felt nauseous and really strong suppression which is probably the first time I’ve felt like that since I restarted on lower dose. It hopefully counteracts yesterday when I was inexplicably ravenous and went over my calories, so at least it’s balanced out! Had a lovely M&S protein overnight oats in the fridge planned for breakfast but couldn’t actually face eating till evening/ dinner time. Had quite a decent portion at dinner though so think it’s wearing off again.

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/02/2025 02:50

Isn’t Yeast for making bread 😂 or beer /wine ?

3.5 inches off a waist is lots ! Glad suppression has kicked in

I do like protein /oats - I use the ready made tubs and make before school and have after dropped dd off as then the right thickness @AuntieDote

Blondes - awake at 2:50 again….hope you’re ok?

Just checking into the new thread to say I’m still here, reading all the posts and willing you all on.

thanks for all the progress photos on the last thread - I love to see those.

Still on 7.5mg but considering going up to 10. Not just because of the food noise coming back, but because my joints are starting to hurt again and the overthinking is coming back. Both of these have been massively improved since taking mj. I usually jab on a Wednesday night and the joint pain is back just a day or two before. However this week I only got one or two days respite before it was back.

I’ve had lots of comments over the last few weeks about my weight loss - I’m finding these much more difficult to deal with then I thought I would. I’m also in the danger zone now of 13st - never been below this on a weight loss journey as it’s usually the time when I’ve got into a size smaller and start to feel a bit better about myself, then fall of the wagon. I still have at least 4st possibly 5st still to loose so can’t afford for this to happen again.

Thanks again for the supportive thread - I don’t post much but I’m always here reading your updates 😊

weaselyeyes · 10/02/2025 09:55

Hang on in there, @BettyandtheVets! I've been finding being able to keep going the most miraculous bit of MJ. Previously I'd always lose 3 stone (and either be more or less ok, or still have tons to lose) and then falter. I'm now up to 4, so fingers crossed.

I'm another nutritional yeast user. It's good for an extra oomph as a seasoning and has lots of B12. So I tend to stir a bit into anything splodgey that needs pepping up a bit, or put it on top like @poppym12 says.

MabelSpan · 10/02/2025 10:13

Hi everybody!
Hope you are all well and still going strong!
This week on 14th is my 6 months on MJ. I have lost 3st 7.4lbs so far, averaging 1.9lbs a week which is right where I want to be for the sake of my skin, my brain would like the losses to be higher of course, but I am sure when I get to the end I will be glad I took the slow and sensible path.
I have also added in some exercise over the last month, its so much easier with less bulk.
This week I am going back onto 30 plants a week, I have been pretty slack, focusing mainly on protein and fibre, but now its time for the plants.
I still log calories, but mainly for the macros not the cals.

Have a good week all!!!

weaselyeyes · 10/02/2025 11:30

Hello @MabelSpan! Glad you're doing ok. An average of 1.9lb sounds anything but slow! I also hope you're keeping warm.

NippyNinjaCrab · 10/02/2025 11:39

Morning ❤️

@BettyandtheVets that's interesting regarding your joints as I'm the same, I've found my pain has lessened and I felt bionic at times, however, the last 2 weeks the horrible throb is sneaking in. It was good while it lasted 😂 x

@MabelSpan aw good to hear from you, i agree that your average loss is fab. X

Azuresky68 · 10/02/2025 15:40

Hello everyone. Just been catching up on the thread and sending my best wishes to all of you. Lots of things on here that made me smile. I am not going to address the 'elephant in the room' 😅😅😅 You are all amazing for still being here on the thread and well done to us all. I am low in energy today as I have had planned treatment at hospital on a kidney stone. Last week was very draining and upsetting emotionally but I spent Friday to Monday with the BF and we had a lovely time. We went to musician friends play last night and today he came with me to hospital today. I have 1.5 pounds to go to my goal of 9 stone but I might try and get to 8 stone 7 pounds. That's fairly near the top of my healthy BMI weight for someone just under 5 foot. Reduced my dose from 12 5 mg to 11 mg on Thursday and really noticed the difference.. I can eat healthier now than on 12.5 where I could barely eat. I have Sienna straightcut jeans and M&S straight cut magic jeans in size 10 from 18 months ago when I was 10 stone. I am Primark and Sweaty Betty XS now. Great idea to get M&S jeans on Vinted by the way. I might try some Eva ones. Sorry I haven't named checked anyone today and that my post is very 'ME'centered but will be back on form soon. I am so happy that I didn't resort to emotional eating last week after difficult family stuff. Lost a pound this week. I jabbed on Thursday and suppression is still here 👍

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/02/2025 16:31

I was at work @BettyandtheVets - why were you awake ? How are you doing ? Well done for getting to 13s - still a few of us with lots to lose , me included

good to hear from you @MabelSpan- what plants do you eat ?

agree with @weaselyeyes and 2lb a week isn’t slow

@Azuresky68interesting going down to 11 means you can eat again and sorry to hear about kidney stones. Had then twice. Very painful

@NippyNinjaCrab sorry to hear pain is back

whethertheweather · 10/02/2025 16:49

Hello everyone. @Azuresky68 hope the hospital treatment went well.

@weaselyeyes and @BettyandtheVets I'm glad it's not just me that has a 3-4 stone falter point in diets - so many times that's the level my yo-yo starts going back up the thread again.

I went to my first strength fitness class today. It was outside and bloody freezing, but I did it! Let's see if I can walk tomorrow after doing all those squats and if I keep my nerve to go again on Wednesday. I take my 3yo DGD to a dance class on a Tuesday, which involves some carer participation, so I hope I'm capable of galloping up and down the hall .

Hope you've all had a good day.

morbidcuriosity · 10/02/2025 16:51

Well hello new thread!! . Jab and weigh for me today. So last week was another STS and today was 3lb down.
Seems after every STS I always lose 3 or 4 the week after so won't be too sad next time I don't lose any.

So SW 18.6, CW 13.10, GW 12.6
I got belief it will happen..

I got my order approved by Oushk, being delivered Wednesday hopefully.

And just want to add.. @whethertheweather wow, looking good there.. amazing! .

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/02/2025 16:56

It is so cold in blondesland and I’m really missing my blubber

I am just always cold. Freezing on the school runs - have furry boots on

I have arthritis in ankle knee and hips. Was the hips and pain and seeing doc who told me nicely and gently to lose weight and why I started losing in April and read so many posts that started aug with you guys

I do feel less aches and fairly early on so I think it was mj and that helps inflammation rather then weight loss

it’s a good reason to stay on it if I don’t get so much pain. I do get pain but much less
