We are doing so well. 7mths

Hugs all the auggies and all of us have lost a fair amount of weight

Some still have weight to lose myself included

Equally a few are nearing their healthy bmi or have reached it and thinking about maintaining

And all I can say is an elephants penis 😂😂😂

There are lots of other suppliers though @Princessandthepie - just apply with another and make sure you get approved before cancelling with Voy. Honestly, I'd never have started if I had to pay those prices. I checked out Voy about a year ago when I first heard about MJ and instantly wrote off the idea when I saw the cost. It was much later when I realised how many others had started supplying and that there was no need for that expense. Others are literally half the price.

Congrats @HellofromJohnCraven! I'm so hoping to join you in the 9s soon. You've done amazingly well!

Not great @Motnight. Earache still raging but I have eaten some jam on toast.

I filled in an Ask my GP request first thing and they've just got back to me with a list of pharmacies they can refer me to.

😞. Though interestingly (or maybe not!) my colleague was prescribed antibiotics by the pharmacist recently for an earache - some pharmacies are able to prescribe in some situations. Do you think that might be why you've been sent the list?

Princessandthepie · 20/02/2025 11:14

Who are you with?

Voy want to charge £279 for 12.5mg moving up from £229 for 10mg!! But after the last debacle I had leaving voy and not getting approved anywhere, I'm too scared to leave voy!! I'm terrified of life after mj!! Truly!!

@Princessandthepie I moved to oushk so I’m with them for maintenance

so got a discount. Think was £165 for 12.5 and so £169 for 15

pkis they use a delivery service that will leave is not in

where I have missed Royal Mail before but another postie did sign for me and leave in safe place

I'll try them, thanks @Blondeshavemorefun

Azuresky68 · 20/02/2025 18:11

@Blondeshavemorefun pretty sure you have to be in for delivery as it's a signed for parcel

Azuresky68 · 20/02/2025 18:14

@Princessandthepie have you looked at monj.co.uk ...it gives price comparisons on there

No but I will.

When I left voy and couldn't get anywhere with asda, I went back to voy in sheer panic.

However, January was probably the worst time to try to swap with suppliers what with everyone's new years resolutions!

I've never had to sign for mine from MedExpress. They have all been RM. I think @Azuresky68 means the specific day delivery with Oushk though that are DPD and require a PIN or something.

I always had to sign for mine from med express and from Royal Mail

I don't have to sign for mine with Oushk royal mail delivery. They just leave it in our safe place. Previously had dpd delivery from them which was a faff with needing to give the driver a pin. Dpd always seems to come to us at school run time when there's no flex to stay in.

Happy Friday everyone!

My nsv this week is that I'm the same weight now as when I was in my early 30s. I bought a gorgeous coat that only fitted for one autumn before i started putting on weight. And now it fits again!!

PoemsForTea · 21/02/2025 07:44

Royal mail also leave in safe place for me, never had to sign.
1lb off for me this morning. Twat scales teased though as I stepped on I saw a 13 .. then they settled on 14.00 😆

Motnight · 21/02/2025 08:44

@Timetochange24 - great NSV!

Motnight · 21/02/2025 08:48

Good morning! Can I ask if people have felt a bit discombobulated emotionally? I am feeling a bit stressed and easily overwhelmed. In a way it's not that surprising as I ate in times of stress but it seems to have got worse over the last few weeks. My DD has noticed me snapping.

NippyNinjaCrab · 21/02/2025 09:21

Morning, I'm a sts this morning 🤗

@Motnight i often feel like that if my dose is slightly higher tbh, my brain is knocked off kilter very easily though. Oushk sent out an email about mood changes and they have a blog post about mood receptors xx

@PoemsForTea well done on lb and 14s. Next week you will get into 13

@Motnight not overwhelmed as such but have had a few emotional days. One I said about on here and being single etx and had the odd wobble to friends

Hate it when the scales do that!! You'll see that 13 next week though I'm sure.

weaselyeyes · 21/02/2025 11:26

Well done @Blondeshavemorefun! You need to remember the body doesn't have a calendar! Weighing once a week, average losses - they're just a convenient check in, they don't mean the body actually has to deliver in a seven day schedule. If you keep on, you'll get there in the end, just like the other sts weeks have passed. Enjoy your dinner!

I managed an impressive 1.2 lb. How can I be so precise? Because I'm in the 9s! 9'13.8" 😀- so my scales now report decimal points because I'm in single figures. Obviously this is a bit of a nonsense and effectively I've lost 1lb, but for this week I'm keeping that 0.2 in there.

Well done on sts @NippyNinjaCrab - good, solid result. When I think of all those years that every week meant a slight gain, I'm beginning to appreciate sts.

weaselyeyes · 21/02/2025 11:28

Oh yes, congrats to @PoemsForTea too! My safe place on the royal mail app is chucking non-breakables over the side gate. I reckon I might as well make good use of all the packaging the pens come in.

Timetochange24 · 21/02/2025 11:30

Well done on your 3lb @Blondeshavemorefun. I weigh every day and the number wobbles up and down (in a generally downward direction luckily) so maybe you were just on a slightly higher wobble last wwj day?

I had an interesting conversation yesterday with someone I hadn't seen for a while. Almost the first thing she said was "You're losing too much weight." Thing is, I'm still overweight - my BMI is 26.5 and I'm about a stone above what I think is my target. Just made me reflect on how people see us, and how different perceptions of healthy size can be. I didn't look huge before I started MJ (BMI 35, squeezing into very tight size 14s but should have been in 16 or 18) but it was causing sleep apnoea for quite a while and I couldn't keep up with my children. But it was only the final couple of kg I gained that made dh comment - before that it felt like I'd just put on a normal amount of weight for getting older.

weaselyeyes · 21/02/2025 11:41

I think it can be very challenging for people when we lose weight! I don't think it's really about looking healthy, just that they have you in their mind as a heavier person and now that's threatened. Sometimes I think people like to see someone as the fat one - either worse than them or the same, in a spirit of solidarity. Anyone making big changes is inherently a bit threatening as all the things we tell ourselves about how we can't do something are undermined when someone goes out and drastically alters. I don't think it's always sinister, though. My oldest friend just clearly has an image of me in his head as overweight (much to my annoyance) and often says, 'I've never seen you look this small!' when I'm thinking, yes you have - when we met and at regular intervals since! You even said that when I weighted two stone more! he's astonished every time, which as a yoyo dieter is quite tiresome 😀

4pink1blue · 21/02/2025 11:52

3lbs here today so happy with that. I weigh in kg though and if I'd lost another 0.2 kg I'd be on 40kg loss! Oh well something to look forward to next week.

Well done to all you Friday weighers. Looks like another successful week 👏

Timetochange24 · 21/02/2025 12:06

Wow @4pink1blue that's amazing. What's nearly-40kg in elephant parts...?

@weaselyeyes I completely agree. The person who said this has some quite significant health problems and an overhaul of diet and exercise would be really beneficial. I think they probably feel like it's too late for them to make changes, so perhaps there's an element of regret there too.

Motnight · 21/02/2025 13:10

Congratulations @Blondeshavemorefun!
