I've been doing Pilates once a week since Christmas and this week added in a weights session too so I'm hoping that's it as lots of you are saying similar. Will be good to increase the muscle mass as I am worried about sagging skin 🤦🏼‍♀️

Is anyone taking anything for that? A woman at work recommended collagen?

Yep collagen is said to be good for your skin. My running coach also recommends it for your joints, especially once you reach a certain age....
I do take it daily, I figured it wasn't going to make things any worse!

I read into weight gain after weight lifting and it's down to inflammation from muscles tearing, and weight retention. It's not fat gain. Makes sense to me - when I was super into weight lifting, I was much leaner at a heavier weight, but it was hard to get my head round it!

Currently battling an issue with my hamstring, so running is out for a few weeks, and focusing on upper body. Also battling a cough which is irritating.

@focussingonme I have starting taken ancient and brave collagen since starting MJ. I might be imagining it but I think my facial skin looks better for it. Tummy is too soon to tell!

Well it's the start of week 6 for me, jab number 7.
I've put on 0.5lb 😒 was really hoping for a 2.5lb loss to take me to a stone.

Trying not to feel too disappointed and just look at where I've gone wrong, which seems obvious looking at MFP... too much wine due to celebrations at the end of last week and not nearly enough water.

Onwards and upwards, I'm still 11lb lighter than I was 7 weeks ago so I'll take that as an overall win.

I didn't manage to eat a great deal yesterday, 2 days after my first 5mg jab. So thought I'd weigh today. It's obviously showing as quite light as I wouldn't have had much food in my system but I'm amazed to see that I have lost 1.5 stones since New Years Day. That's incredible.

SW: 1 Jan 25 16 stone 0lb
CW: 10 Feb 25 14 stone 6lb
GW: 9.5 stone (really 10 stone but aiming half a stone under to give me leeway)

It suddenly feels relatively achievable!!

W4 D4 - Ive just slept for about 12 hours - I'm really tired all the time, very low energy but I don't know if it's fully the MJ's fault or I'm not getting enough nutrients plus the weather (I always feel rubbish in jan/feb)
Suppression isn't as strong but I'm still managing not to exceed my 1200 calories per day. I just don't have that slightly full, nauseous feeling anymore and feel like I could definitely eat snacks etc, whereas the first couple of weeks the thought of eating rubbish made me feel sick. My 5mg pen has been sent out today so I'll be jabbing that on Friday and we shall see what happens (hopefully not explosive diarrhoea,)

Week 3 and for the first time possibly in my life I forgot to eat breakfast this morning. I have chosen not to eat breakfast lots of times but to forget is just completely unknown!!

To the person going skiing - welcome! @yomellamoHelly I think it’s you? I would def stay on lower dose as finding a loo on the slopes can take a while - all the in/out of boots and then a line and then shedding layers. . . I would really want to play it safe. Hope you have a lovely holiday.

How about a weighted hula hoop for muffin top/love handles? I'm rubbish at it myself but my dm hulas every day and really trimmed down that area. She watches Emmerdale etc whilst she does it and can go on for hours she said!

You say you're not losing - have you done your TDEE? How many calories are you eating/how tall are you etc? Maybe we can help with more info.

I know I'm ravenous in the lead up to my period so the increased appetite is most likely that combined with maybe being ready to move up to 5mg. I'm due this week and I'm preparing myself for not having lost anything on Friday.

I've been taking a marine collagen called nutrabytes premium marine collagen (off Amazon) it was recommended by other posters. I've only been on it a couple of weeks so a bit early to say whether it does anything but I'm trying to mitigate possible hair loss as my hair has become brittle in the past when I've lost weight.

I will be taking my first 5mg tomorrow, I’m not going to do the bonus dose as I’ve been hungry this weekend, I want the extra suppression!

I lost 14lb in the first two weeks, nothing in week 3, and when I last weighed on Friday- still nothing. I’ve been sticking to 1200 or fewer calories which is a deficit for me so I’m a bit fed up and need to see a loss to get my mojo back!

Week 4 day 2. Weighed Friday. Have finally started to notice some changes on the scales. I am sticking to one set of manual scales at work. 5kg down. Hoping for more losses when I start 5mg this weekend!

Are you eating enough?! I find that I struggle to hit my calorie target, and I know from experience (Fast800, I'm looking at you...) that not getting enough calories can impact energy levels so much.

W6 D7 here, it's jab day tomorrow, 2nd round of 5mg. Suppression is strong, and I'm very lucky to have no nasty side effects so far 🤞🏻

I'm still dithering about whether to go up to 5 or stay on 2.5. Jab 4 is Wed, and I was planning on doing the bonus dose, so I have a little bit of time to decide.

I'm feeling pretty good about suppression levels, do they decrease or increase with time? I mean, will I gradually get used to 2.5 and it will be pointless?

Probably not. I am struggling to eat very much, but I’m working on adding more in especially protein in the shape of chicken

I had first 3.75 on Friday and have been feeling sooo tired and having dreadful head rushes when I stand up since then. Suppression is ok but not amazing. Slightly wobbly today and it all as I don’t feel great!

I felt exactly the same - really faint and nauseous and TIRED, oh my god slept away the weekend! Feel fine today so going to stick to 3.75 this week I think before going up to 5. I’ve lost a large amount of weight (11kg) and not that far from goal weight now but think that’s partly to do with barely eating since last jab and will definitely be putting some of that back on.

Annoyingly I’ve gone up a pound since yesterday but still loosing!

The time has flown by and like others I don’t recognise myself : I’ve not eaten chocolate & crisps since starting! I just don’t fancy it! Apart from the horrific D&V on Saturday symptoms are ok, just praying that was a bug and nothing else!

My jeans are stretchy anyway and I’m that typical very difficult apple shape so I’m not exactly seeing a difference yet outwardly. But I feel so hopeful in my self because I know I can’t fall off this wagon as it were. Which I probably would have done by now!

I didn’t take my 💉this morning, my work diary changed to incorporate a late meeting a train ride away so I figured I’d skip it until tomorrow as I won’t get home til 9pm.

I bought magnesium citrate today, does anyone take that? Good for tiredness and apparently helps with constipation.

I am coming to the end of W5 but only got a scant 7ml bonus dose. Up to 5mg tomorrow and I obviously need it. I’m tempted to inject tonight but I have two important meetings tomorrow so I won’t risk it.

@IBloodyLoveMyBlanket I am about a week in front of you and I think it's wearing off a bit. I'm noticing things to pick at albeit not actually picking at them. I still get sicky if I eat too much, still having a bit of the sigh towards the end of a big meal but not as much.

Am going to see how much bonus dose I get - I'd like it to be over 3 as a stepping stone as I am still getting something.

In more positive news, I am getting the dull ache of an imminent period. This is potentially excellent news as a, it means I've not had any pmt this month except being tired and grouchy and b, if it does bloating weight should be gone by Friday weigh day.

I think I will be lucky to get a lb off this week which is a bit frustrating. I would have loved my first pen to get me the next stone down but I'd need a 3lb loss and that just isn't gonna happen.

Did my first 5mg jab today. No side effects as of yet except maybe a bit of tiredness. Was pretty nervous and was planning on doing my bonus dose from my 2.5 but the one wouldn’t click and I didn’t order insulin needles 🤦‍♀️. But I have officially lost one stone! So pleased!
