Treated myself to an M&S shop today and they didn’t have the bits I wanted in <stomp feet> so will try another branch tomorrow - anyone got recommendations?

Did pick up a Trip drink to see if that hits the same as a G&T - doubtful!

I've also gone off chocolate, or anything sweet really! We played a board game this evening, and everyone else was munching biscuits - I had 2 and then didn't fancy any more. I don't recognise myself!

Hey all! I’ve been a bit lax keeping up with the thread but amazing progress from the Jan alumni.

I had a very noticeable decrease in suppression but not going to whinge when I’ve already lost 4kg with little effort.

I also have been so busy at work I got lazy with meals and prep - ordered my first takeaway in weeks yesterday and only finished it this evening (it lasted a whole 24 hours, unheard of before)!

I have ordered and received my 5mg and actually looking forward to taking it to see if the suppression I got in weeks 1 &2 comes back. If it does with just as little side effects, I will absolutely not take it for granted!

For now going back to my good diet routines and keeping positive! Have a great rest of the weekend!

I've gone totally off alcohol. Went out for sister's birthday dinner yesterday. Could not finish my meal. But also just had a couple of sips of wine and was done.

Hi all, I’ve been a bit slack at updating, but am now W6 D2.

SW: 15 11.5
CW: 14 8.5
GW: 12 7

i took the bonus dose out of the first pen using a syringe which was relatively straightforward to do (got 0.65ml out). I just started my 5mg pen yesterday, but did 45 clicks to get 3.75 as I was so nervous about getting bad side effects. So far I feel fine, although my period started yesterday so that’s making me feel a bit rubbish.

The suppression had definitely reduced massively on the 2.5 and it was requiring a lot more willpower so I’m hoping the 3.75 will work well and then I’ll up it to 5 if the suppression isn’t quite enough and the side effects aren’t too bad.

Interestingly I haven’t gone off any foods, I still really enjoy a bit of chocolate, but unlike previously where I could eat a whole jumbo bar I am happy with just one or two squares! Same with wine, I’m happy just having one small glass.

I had first 3.75 on Friday and have been feeling sooo tired and having dreadful head rushes when I stand up since then. Suppression is ok but not amazing. Slightly wobbly today and it all as I don’t feel great!

@SneakyLilNameChange hope that passes soon. I get the odd head rush/dizzy thing and always think it's low blood sugar but have no scientific basis for this!

Had day in London with dd yesterday which I was slightly dreading. Saturday can be my worst side effect day plus she wanted to have burritos and I'd been avoiding spicy and pulses after my incident with Dahl last weekend.

But it was fine. Side effects just a bit of heartburn and she wasn't very hungry. We went to a bit of a walk around and she got a bun from a fancy bakery. I didn't want anything (!!!!) so had a small bit of rice from itsu. And no ice cream in the interval at the theatre! Didn't even occur.

I did get my first bar of chocolate though. I am actually not a big chocolate fan but yesterday was actually hungry for one. Got a crappy bar of cadburys in a duo pack and ate one bit when our train was delayed. Ate the other at home with a cup of tea and didn't finish it. It was just enough.

This week I think I need to be smarter with my food. I didn't eat the best last week in terms of a good diet. Not much variety, a couple of ready meals. Also didn't nail the exercise although my steps are increasing every day. This week is a bit all over the place so planning and prep is going to be key I think.

Have woken up feeling much better this morning thankfully! No nausea so far so looking forward to my afternoon out now 😁
Have planned out my week as well so will definitely have time to get to the gym at least twice and get my head back in the game

W6D2 here (although had two weeks "off" on holiday). First 5mg injection was 3 days ago. Definitely feeling off since then - no appetite at all (I had to force myself to eat two meals yesterday), slight tummy issues and constipation. Saw no effects (other than appetite suppression) with the 2.5mg, so this is new! Hopefully it doesn't last too long.

SW: 14st 9.3lb
CW: 13st 11.8lb
GW: 12st (to start with, will likely adjust when/if I get there)

Loss so far: 11.5lb / 5.2kg

This kind of loss is unheard of for me. 2024 I was going to a PT twice a week (once for cardio, once for weights), eating fairly healthily and ended the year heavier than I started! Starting back with my PT next week and hoping this is not just a phase as everything has been in the past, and this is it now.

Hi everyone.

W4D7 for me. Will take bonus 2.5mg dose tomorrow.

SW = 76.6
CW = 71.1
GW = 62 (still the heavy side of normal for my height)

Total loss so far 5.5kg which I’m obviously thrilled about, as I’ve shifted from obese to overweight but reckon the next month or two it will slow down a bit. Like others I haven’t achieved such a loss on my own so I’m going to continue on 2.5 for the next month as suppression is still fairly good.

So I'm currently week 6 day 4, after my first jab of 5mg.
I've had no side effects at all, other than the suppression is just too much so I think I'm going to drop back down for my next jab.
I ran 8 miles yesterday so really need to be able to eat to fuel myself, and i struggled to get food in.

Week 6 starts today and have started on my second 2.5 pen.

Annoyingly I’ve put 0.5kg on overnight, despite not even making my 1200 cals yesterday. I wonder if it’s to do with the heavy weights session with my PT where I went up to 67.5kg deadlift. I used to be able to do 75kg on the regular, so I’m hoping to get there next week and lift more than my body weight. Do any other ‘lifters’ on here find they gain on the scales after a heavy one?

@DGonMJ not a lifter but I think that's pretty normal? Don’t your muscles attract your glycogen and you get inflammation and that's how you actually build up the muscle? That's probably 100% crap science but I used to have a PT who was a power lifter and she always said she'd be heavier after a tough session. Then get a whoosh a few days later.

Yes, I do. There’ll be a load of people on the wider boards who will say this isn’t possible but I do seem to weigh slightly heavier the day after a very heavy session..

I’ve hit one of my sticking points. I’ve sat at the same weight for three days and if it’s anything like every time I’ve actively tried to lose weight I’ll sit there for a while longer.

The 3.33mg dose has definitely improved suppression but I don’t get the full feeling some of you do and I certainly don’t struggle to eat. On the other hand I’ve had no side effects so I’m not complaining. 3.75 next dose then I’ll consider stepping up to 5

Just posting so I can keep following. Having a second week break from the mj, just wanting to wait until I’m over this virus and back to full health before restarting again. Still off fatty and sweet foods though which is good.

I took my first 5mg jab on Friday and felt like this yesterday! But I also felt really hungry and then when I ate I couldn't eat very much. Is this a new side effect for you?

Mind you, my DC was particularly irritating yesterday so it might have been a coincidence.

Thanks @myladyjane and @FatGirlLosing glad to know I’m not the only one. I guess it makes sense that muscles would retain ‘something’ in order to rebuild. Not feeling the DOMs today, either the collagen is working or I’ll feel it tomorrow!

I’ll have a mid-week weigh on my Renpho scales in a few days and see if my body fat % is any lower. I got on them yesterday before the gym and I’ve gone from 36.1% to 34.7% since 11th Jan. V pleased with that. I need to remind myself to check body fat when I’m having a weight loss plateau.

Yes I have found this. I lift 3x a week, play an intense sport twice a week and try to get one run on a week. The day after lifting my weight gain ranges from .2kg to .5kg. But I am getting PR’s for a lot of lifts! I also add creatine to my protein powder xx

Pretty much the wholetime so far. Maybe it is the hunger... my body feels it more than my brain??? DCs definitely don't help 😂

@Lilausaurusrex that’s a super impressive weekly exercise routine! Have you found MJ has affected it in any way?
And can I ask how the creatine helps? I’ve seen it in the shops but wasn’t quite sure of the benefit for me (I consider myself a bit of a weedy lightweight!) and also saw it contained taurine which I think would send me over the edge on top of my daily cup of coffee.
