Thread FIVE of this lovely community. Anyone using weight-loss injections to lose more than 5 stone or 30kg is very welcome to join us, no matter what stage of the process you are on.

Please don’t post discount codes on this thread as your post will be deleted. These need to go in the dedicated thread on this board.

Well I was really put on the spot today when a friend asked me directly if I was using "the injections". Luckily the other person there already knew so I just said I am but I've chosen not to tell many people as I can't be bothered explaining or facing any judgement so please don't discuss with anyone else.

@Darlinghag I moved a while back to Ashcroft Pharmacy who are always in the cheapest five and have been very good. I have to send a picture of me holding a piece of paper with the date written on with each order and answer a few questions. They send by Royal Mail but are faster than my previous supplier were, if you order before about 2pm it arrives the following morning. I have noticed a bit of chatter on social media about a new company called Medicines Marketplace who are legit but much cheaper

MountKilimounjaro · 22/02/2025 06:11

@Darlinghag I'm with Family Chemist, I moved from MedExpress.

They are incredibly good. Very reliable supply and quick to process orders. You get to choose courier too which is helpful.

They always have the lowest prices without having to worry about discount codes. And every now and then they throw you extra discount/money off for being a loyal customer.

You do need to buy needles and wipes separately but it's great having a big bulk supply of them. And only £5 for 100 needles.

Their maintenance plan is good and they're very communicative.

Have been massively impressed. I think I've been with them for about seven months now. Haven't let me down once.

Sorry, I sound like an ad! But genuinely had a great experience.

MountKilimounjaro · 22/02/2025 06:15

@Darlinghag forgot to add that moving was easy, I just sent a screen grab of my current prescription that showed my name, address and dose. They do ask for the usual photo on the scales or full body photo. GP letter wise they send you a letter to download and give to your GP yourself.

From application to approval and delivery of meds was all in four days. It's quicker for standard reorders.

gimmemounjaro · 22/02/2025 08:12

Thanks for the Family Chemist info, I think I will also make the move to them from MedExpress 👍

Weigh day for me today:

SW: 241.2lbs / 109.4kg / 35.6 BMI
CW: 182.5lbs / 82.8kg / 27 BMI
GW: 160lbs / 72.6kg / 23.6 BMI

This week: -2 lbs
Total: -58.7lbs

A good week - stone and a half to go 💪

MamaNewtNewt · 22/02/2025 09:28

Can I join you all? I just got the email to say I've been approved by ASDA and will get my injections in the next day or so.

I'm nervous and excited as I need to lose around 8 stone. I'm just reading all of the threads to get some hints and tips before I start so I can give myself the best chance of success.

I struggle to lose weight as I had an accident that makes exercising difficult (but this should ease if I do lose weight) I also have PCOS and sleep apnoea which can make it a bit more difficult too. Reading your stories has definitely helped me move more toward excited than nervous so thanks for sharing.

gimmemounjaro · 22/02/2025 09:40

Welcome on board @MamaNewtNewt
This is a lovely thread 🙂

Darlinghag · 22/02/2025 11:24

Thanks all for the pharmacy talk!

Well, its that time again for me, weight day!

This week I lost…2.8lbs!! I am thrilled. This takes me weight to 15st 2.6lbs!

I have 2.7lbs to my interim target of being under 15st, which I would like to hit by 12th March, which is more than doable. I am also less that 13lbs from Onederland!! I’d love to be there by the beginning of May!

Some things this week:

  • I have finally removed my last size 22 dress from the wardrobe. I was keeping it in case something urgent came up I needed it for, but nothing has and its way too big now so thats that on Vinted!
  • Vinted and other clothes shopping - I think have said goodbye to size 20 in my searches. I am still wearing a couple of trousers/jeans in a 20, but they are on their way to being too big, so its good bye to that number! I am now very much moving into an 18 on my bottom and 16-18 on top.
  • the sun is out here today and its pretty mild and its made me realise how excited I am for summer!! I actually can’t wait to see what I look like by then and what options I have. Plus - how will the heat feel this year? I do love it, but obviously at 20-21st it wasn’t fun if having to move about in it!
  • salads remain king - I am going to m&s today for ALL the sunmery salad vibes. If anyone has a favourite salad hit me up! I love anything with lots of components, that hits loads of different macros and lots of different textures (except nuts, no nuts here!)

i hope everyone is having a great week!!

Orangesandlemons77 · 22/02/2025 11:37

Mamanewt you might find things like sleep apnoea and snoring are much improved on MJ, I found this helped right from the start, best of luck with it!

Hello! This is a lovely group and has been really supportive and helpful to me since I joined in January! I also have around 8 stone to lose and I have PCOS and sleep allows - I'm really hoping that I can get rid of my CPAP machine in 2026...

if you haven't already got some hand weights I'd really recommend getting some - I've found doing just a few minutes a day (while I'm watching telly!) is making a real difference pretty quickly to my stomach. I'm not an exercise person, but weights feel doable - even sitting down!

MooBaggage · 22/02/2025 11:53

Oops - sleep apnoea!

MooBaggage · 22/02/2025 12:23

My current NSV is that I am very pleased to report that for the first time I can remember, my boobs are not spilling over my bra 😁 They are still ridiculously big, but at least now safely contained...!

gimmemounjaro · 22/02/2025 12:29

@Darlinghag

I'm enjoying this salad at the mo, I add some cucumber slices with seeds removed. (I don't bother roasting and grinding the cumin tbh I just chuck in a pinch of ground.) This week I will be replacing the kale with some spinach that needs eating up.

I have it with some protein, so cooked prawns or tuna chunks stirred in, or chicken breast on the side. Tasty, filling, and it makes me feel better for having eaten it iykwim.

WeAllHaveWings · 22/02/2025 14:58

Stayed the same this week, not unexpected really. At least it wasn't a gain!

End of week - 35 (5 x 2.5mg, 30 x 3.75mg)
SW - 21st 5lbs BMI 44.8
CW - 15st 08lbs BMI 32.7
Losses (2024) - 10,2,2,4,1,3,3,3,1,3,2,2,3,3,2,3,3,2,1,4,0,2,3,3,1,4,0
Losses (2025) - 0,3,2,1,3,1,1,0
Total loss - 5st 11lbs (81lbs), 27.1%
Next Target 🎯- 14st 3lb by end June (BMI < 30, 100lbs lost, Onederland!)

A combination of sons 21st (food/cake) then stopping HRT due to referral for breast investigations and being a bit worried about it (referral and having to stop HRT and meno symptoms returning) have both lead to eating more that I should and reverting to some bad habits. Mood low, but need to snap myself out of it or it is going to be a long 3-4 waiting time for the referral.

Congratulations @VelociraptorsVelociRapping for becoming overweight and your 100lb loss!! 🤩

The talk of pharmacies is interesting and thanks for The Family Chemist link @RobinEllacotStrike - getting a bit nervous about Oushk this week and the direction they are taking. After the previous weeks branded packing fiasco on their facebook page, this week they have decided patients can get discreet packaging if they pay extra 🙈 It is only a small charge, but their lack of prioritising discreet packaging (professional and standard in the industry) over branding (commercial/advertising) on patients medical orders is concerning.

MamaNewtNewt · 22/02/2025 16:44

Thanks for the welcome 😊 Looking forward to getting started now.

Timetofindme · 22/02/2025 17:33

@WeAllHaveWings I've just placed my 2nd order with oushk (previously medexpress ) and noticed they want to charge you for the privilege of discreet packaging. As you say it does make you wonder what their priorities are, particularly with the fb group (and groupies!) I keep hearing about.

I moved to them as they have lots of maintenance options (to be fair a long way off for me) but i think I'm going to look around a bit. Someone, can't remember who or if it was this thread or another, had lots of positive things to say about the family chemist so im tempted to switch again.

Bibulous · 22/02/2025 18:42

Four months since starting and I'm 60lbs down and a third of the way to my target! I'm coming to the end of the last 5mg pen and I've ordered 7.5mg for the next because I panicked a bit with more food noise coming through. But now I've weighed in for the week and looked at my progress I'm still losing a steady 2lbs a week so I might just count clicks to keep on 5mg.

What really cheered me was that one of my work colleagues said that she sees I've lost a lot of weight and that my face is thinner! This is the first time since I started that anyone's said anything. It's nice to know that it's not just me who's noticing.

claudiawinklemansfringetrimmer · 22/02/2025 19:22

First week on 5mg has so far gone ok for me, definitely feeling quite sleepy again but that only lasted a week when I started the 2.5mg so hoping it will wear off again. Very little food noise- I do get hungry, which is good, but if I know say it’s an hour to dinner time I can just carry on and ignore it without obsessing about snacks which is great!

Only downside is that a combo of period + fatigue means I haven’t been to the gym at all this week, but hoping to get back at it next week.

CrazyKats · 22/02/2025 21:43

Been a while since I posted but thought I would update. Nice to see everyone's recent progress.

SW: 109.7kg (mid July 24)
CW: 86.9kg
GW: 69kg

Over half way there. I realised today I have lost 1kg more than the weight of my 6 year old. I have effectively lost a small child.

Doing body combat or weights most days down the gym.

Still on 7.5mg pens. I have been click counting up and am currently on 6.75mg.

Arglefraster · 22/02/2025 21:52

Wowsers some of these losses are almost beyond belief! Huge congratulations all.

Funny to read about Oushk as I got a delivery yesterday & for the very first time there was "ooh what's that" from my daughters (I don't remember a "discreet packaging " option when I ordered it a couple of weeks ago), no one has so much as mentioned the previous parcels so clearly the fancy packaging just looks more interesting.

So I'll be another looking for a different supplier now as after noticing once my girls will be VERY interested if it shows up again!!

I wonder how much business this is going to be to lose them? I was never intending to move so long as the prices stayed competitive.

Arglefraster · 22/02/2025 21:53

& I meant to say hi @MamaNewtNewt & I'm so sorry for your troubles @MooBaggage it sounds hellish.

God please ignore me @MooBaggage I can't edit but I'm mixing you up with someone else on another thread 🫠🫠🫠

I do hope you don't have any troubles!

I really really need a decent sleep 🙈

Love the look of this - todays lunch sorted!

Thanks.

Remember chick peas are very thirsty in the body (according to Ayurveda) and this can cause digestive issues. so drink an extra glass or 2 of water when eating them.

RobinEllacotStrike · 23/02/2025 10:07

The Family Chemist packaging is discrete I think. Just a plain brown box.

RobinEllacotStrike · 23/02/2025 10:25

Great work lovely losers. Imagine being happy about losing a small child 😂😂. This is the place for it. I'm aiming to lose a small Olympic boxer (50kg) but to be fair I've never had parental responsibility for her. Maybe that's why I put on so much excess weight in the first place 😬😄

Another kilo off this week! That's 27.4kg/60 pounds loss to date. @Darlinghag - we are still twinning sister! ✊🏼

SW. 124kg
CW 96.6kg
GW 75kg - 21.6kg to go.

BMI
Starting 41 - morbidly obese
Now 32.3 - obese (beautifully obese)

I had some drinks at a party last night. Fab party, lots of dancing, lovely buffet which I was 100% able to have a delicious meal, and for the first time in my life I didn't have a piece of the offered birthday cake.

Re people commenting - most people I know aren't saying anything. I met colleagues for lunch last week and I saw a pair of fleeting raised eyebrows but he didn't say anything.
A guy I was chatting with at yoga (who I know through work distantly) & he commented I had lost a lot of weight & I was taken by surprise & blabbed on about doing yoga everyday! Which is true but I did feel a bit dishonest.

Right sun is out. I need to speed clean the kitchen then I'm off to beach for my first swim in a while & a sauna. 🧖‍♀️

CrazyKats · 23/02/2025 10:39

@RobinEllacotStrike one person has directly asked me if I'm taking ozempic. I told them I have been losing weight since the summer (true, I started eating better in April last year - more mindfully eating, rather) but I didn't confirm or deny. Just said I'd been eating better and going to the gym more (both true, and gym every day). I did feel like a fraud. Another person asked how I'd done it, perhaps in a less outright way than the first person. I saw something on insta the other day which said their are no prizes for suffering so I'm trying to push the 'cheating' thoughts out of my mind. Ultimately I can move a lot better and faster without the weight of a small child strapped to me and consequently this enables me to go to the gym most days and participate...this is my mantra 🤣 fake it til you make it 🤣. I'm on the cusp of BMI 30 so I need to start thinking about swapping to maintenance provider. Seems like family chemist is getting the votes? Will have to f/u next week.
