@Darlinghag there is a good thread (can't link as on the app) about who offers what for maintenance.
I was with Zava but switched a few weeks ago to Oushk (when at BMI 27) as I felt their potential options for maintenance suited me well.

Today is end of week 32 for me. Am now down by 5st2 (72lbs Shock) and annoyingly BMI of exactly 25 just needing a few more oz to maintain it out or overweight to healthy BMI!

Am hoping to keep going to get down to BMI of 21ish and then hopefully a maintenance plan

weighed myself again today and the scales teased me by showing the 1lb below and my current weight - flickered up and down, but settled on current weight...! The nerve! Am all good about it though - just the flicker has made me think it's happening - I just need to find some patience from somewhere... 🙄

My new obsession - a really small bit (smaller than a dollop) of cranberry sauce with just about everything I'm making - had some today with my scrambled egg and bacon lunch and will have some tonight with my chicken. Still not eating carbs - just meat on a big bed of baby spinach (my other long term love) and some greek yog and now cranberry sauce. Gives me a bit of sharpness and sweetness to the meal, so I thought I'd pass on the tip in case anyone is getting bored and wanted to add something to make meals taste a bit different 😀

I'm so sorry for your loss, @Reginaphalangeeeee. Please be very very kind to yourself. Perhaps consider having some protein yoghurts / shakes etc in so t hat you can reach for something without having to think about it. Flowers

I'm having a bit of a landmark day. -2lb this morning means that I am FINALLY just into an 'overweight' BMI...as long as the figure is expressed to one decimal place as it's 29.8. I'm still taking it as a win! I also hit 100lb / 7st 2lb lost today from my heaviest. I'm now within a stone of the initial target that I set myself, and I am allowing myself to absorb the reality that once it's gone I will have lost the entirety of a petite adult woman!

OMG that's amazing!! Huge congratulations - what a brilliant achievement!!! 😍👑🍾

How long has it taken you? I've plotted a prediction thingy for me and it will take me 13 months to get to just overweight if I lose 1 - 2lb a week!

I hope you can celebrate this week/weekend - fantastic result 😃

RobinEllacotStrike · 20/02/2025 17:39

Wow @VelociraptorsVelociRapping that's amazing. Bloody lovely smashing all those milestones!

alltablenochairs · 20/02/2025 18:11

What an amazing achievement @VelociraptorsVelociRapping. Iirc haven't you been on MJ for a while? Do you have an end goal in sight?

It's half term here and I am so over it already. DS (autistic, PDA, adhd, learning disabilities and some very challenging behaviours) has been exceptionally hard work. He's coming up to 12 but is cognitively much younger. I took him to the local garden centre for lunch earlier and had a bit of a comic moment trying to explain to the person on the till that yes I also wanted a kids sandwich and no, I didn't want an adults one. Their sandwiches are legendarily enormous, to the extent DH and I usually share one if we are there together. Yep, I now order off the kids menu thanks to MJ.

@olivietolivie I could live with tucking my tummy in my waistband but am seriously worried I'll be tucking my boobs in it soon!

Thank you @VelociraptorsVelociRapping

You are amazing loosing all that weight- well done! That is the weight of my 12 year daughter who wear adult size 8!

I can only dream of this weight loss.
How long has your journey been?

I only started MJ in January and have 20lbs (1.5 stone) off. You can't notice it yet and clothes size the same but told myself another 4-6 weeks and same of again and that's 3 stone which is near my half way mark which cheered me up.

Honestly, congratulations this is an amazing achievement! X

Its starting to look like the place I will have the most excess skin in inner thighs.
My legs are shaping up lovely and muscle tone etc is good, but I have so much loose wobbly skin in my shrinking inner thighs.

SilenceInside · 21/02/2025 10:37

Weigh In Day for me:

Current stats at the end of week 33:
SW: 139kg (21st 12 lbs)
CW: 94.2kg (14st 11 lbs), was 94.4kg (14st 12lbs) last week
GW: 90kg (14st 2 lbs) fourth interim goal.
Total of 99 pounds down, or 44.8kg.
Current pen: 7.5mg, 23 weeks on this dosage

Bit disappointed at losing 0.2kg this week as the scales have been well into the 93s mid week so don't quite know why they've popped back up to the 94s in time for Friday. I don't feel like I've done anything different this week, and don't feel there was any difference in suppression etc this week.

In terms of loose skin, my upper arms are definitely in "wings" territory but they always have tended towards that when I've lost weight in the past. My stomach is soft all over now, and a B shape, but I still have over 4 stone to lose to get to a healthy weight range. I think that it will look/feel a lot different when I get to that point.

Oh, me too - they look like crumpled festoon blinds from some angles.

I will be having abdominal surgery for an enormous incisional hernia in probably around 3 months (I've been waiting for 3.5 years and still no NHS, this will be private - gulp!) which automatically includes an abdominoplasty, so I want to get a bit more off before that.

HansHolbein · 21/02/2025 10:54

@SilenceInside Incredible loss!

Reginaphalangeeeee · 21/02/2025 10:55

@SilenceInside that is an amazing achievement and does rally me on.
I was 136 kg starting in Jan and to think by the summer I could be in the 90's is uplifting!!!

SilenceInside · 21/02/2025 11:12

@Reginaphalangeeeee and @HansHolbein thanks. One of the benefits of Mounjaro that really makes the difference for me is the consistency, the ability to persist with a calorie deficit for long enough. I would always get daunted and find it increasingly hard to stick to a traditional diet in the past. Whereas now, even when I'm a bit disappointed in one week's loss or staying the same (or even a small gain) I know that I can keep on with it and the scales will eventually move down again. I don't think I could possibly have stuck to a calorie deficit for a year, which is what I needed to do, without the assistance of Mounjaro.

Darlinghag · 21/02/2025 11:42

@RobinEllacotStrike me too!

i actually am finding them really horrible to look at - lots of fat still there but its really awful compared to the rest of me. Plus scarring from some old hidradenitis suppurativa scarring - luckily the weight loss has meant i have not had a single reoccurence so it shouldnt get worse.

i think if i was to get any surgery when maintaining my goal, it will be there.

RobinEllacotStrike · 21/02/2025 11:44

I agree @SilenceInside - consistancy and the ability to go the distance really is the superpower of MJ.

the outside & back of my thighs are quite firm - inside of thighs is like a bag of deflated jelly beanie babies.

Oh well - these will be the things we live with when we are no longer overweright/obese/morbidly obese.

Just like a have a bright pink bike as my pandemic souvineer (all other colours sold out in the bike I wanted), I'll have saggy inner thights as a souviner of the decades I was obese & morbidly obese.

Darlinghag · 21/02/2025 11:57

@RobinEllacotStrike yes - very similar for me!

true enough, and its better than being 21st again, i think.

i wanted to ask you about the family chemist btw - i was looking them over - the prices are quite good! Do they have good approval/dispatch times and how is their communication so far? I can see they use DPD too, which I prefer, so this could be a great option, like that they have a BMI of 19 as a cut off for maintenance.

did you move to them from another supplier and if so, how was that process?

RobinEllacotStrike · 21/02/2025 12:41

I chose TFC from the beginning as their prices were reasonable and stable and I didn't want to go down the discount voucher route. I thought they looked like a good long term partner and I was aware I'd probably be ordering MJ for a year.

I order, and it takes a day or so to process - I think they say 3 days. And then they ship by DPD. It can be a bit tricky getting the timing right re delivery, but I sometimes will ask them to delay shipping until a certain day etc when I know I will be home all day (which is most days as I WFH but I wouldnt want a Saturday delivery for example). I guess with all MJ deliveries you need to be around.

I supplied a photo when I signed up, and my last pen I had to send more pictures (after the new prescribing restrictions came in recently). I've not really had much dealings with them beyond ordering and supplying the pictures. But they are easy to deal with - no problems. And they do seem to be quite invested in WLI & MJ - lots of information on their website etc, maintance plans etc.

MooBaggage · 21/02/2025 13:16

I'm having a weirdly very high suppression day today. Not sure why, as my injection day is Monday and I'm usually tailing off from Fridays? Struggling to eat much, but drinking water and had my morning smoothie OK. Strange!

Darlinghag · 21/02/2025 13:31

Thanks @RobinEllacotStrike I’m usually pretty good with DPD, I mostly work from home - and would just avoid ordering when there is a risk of me being away in the week after.

I don’t want to chase discounts either, although I am paying way too much really with ASDA - £193 for my 10mg pen with shipping!

I guess I don’t mind sending photos etc and being checked in. ASDA have done no such thing since those changes - but I was disappointed how long they took to respond to my query etc so I don’t think, actually, they are particularly good customer service wise and am conscious I have just been super lucky with how its gone so far. I might do one more pen with ASDA at the end of the month and see about moving immediately after getting that one.

InfoSecInTheCity · 21/02/2025 18:17

Hi all, out of the loop as been off sunning myself in Spain for a few days which was wonderful.

Stepped on the scales this morning to an 8lb gain which I know is mainly water retention from too little water, too much walking in the heat and too many carbs. I will be drinking an absolute shit tonne of water for the next few days and will see where it falls when I do my weekly weigh in on Monday.
