I am definitely still the fattest person in any room! But hoping to not be in about 6 months' time 😀

I love seeing everyone's NSV and long term weight losses - I know I keep saying it, but having hope re: weight loss is something I've never had before...!

I'm not weighing until Feb 26th, which is payday, so when I can order my next injections. I can feel the weight loss has slowed down, but have been eating sensibly, with no desire to overeat, so am OK about it - hoping for 2 - 3 lbs off by then.

SilenceInside · 15/02/2025 11:55

@alltablenochairs that's so brilliant that you can now use the parachute silk for the hoist, rather than the abrasive uncomfortable stuff.

I also have noticed that I'm not the biggest parent waiting at school pick up any more, I'm definitely in the middle territory and not a very obvious outlier.

InfoSecInTheCity · 15/02/2025 12:01

Just been to Primark for a new pack of knickers and had to buy 2 packs because I've no idea what size, all I really know is that the size 18 ones I have are saggier than Nora Batty's tights due to my lack of backside and there's a constant and real risk of them just dropping off one day while I'm walking.

gimmemounjaro · 15/02/2025 12:07

Haha yes I have discovered I have my father's (lack of) arse. Doing squats every day to try and beef it up a bit 🍑

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 15/02/2025 13:16

@alltablenochairs I think your NSV wins in all of the NSVs I’ve ever read about!

NewbieMJ · 15/02/2025 14:15

Well done everyone. Great successes and fantastic to read about them. So inspiring.

I have lost another wee sneaky pound and realise at 15 stone 10, I am 100kgs, so anything lost from now on will put me in the 99's.

Definitely feeling the cold now the weight is coming off. Bought another oodie to keep the chill off.

Here's to a great week for us all.

QueenOfHiraeth · 15/02/2025 16:22

@Darlinghag I had a similar realisation this week. I was walking to meet a friend so was a bit more glammed up than my normal scruff and suddenly felt "not fat" and as though anybody passing me would think "She looks nice", rather than seeing my size. It felt odd but really good Smile

Timetofindme · 15/02/2025 16:50

NSV for me today. I swim outdoors a lot but usually somewhere I don't need a tow float. Went to a different venue today where I have to wear the tow float and had to stop a short way into my swim to do the waist belt up as it was so loose that it was slipping way down and verging on slipping over my hips. Found that oddly satisfying!

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 15/02/2025 17:07

Loving the nsv. Especially the wheelchair fabric!

I am on my second 5mg jab and have lost today. I woke 4am wanting to be sick and have spent today so nauseas I've had to lie down. I've dozed on and off.

Please tell me this isn't it now every injection and I will be okay?

WeAllHaveWings · 15/02/2025 17:42

Saturday weigh in and another steady 1lb loss. I won't pretend I wasn't a bit deflated having two weeks with a 1lb loss in a row when I am still up in the obese range - but hey, it's still a loss!

Since recently starting HRT, after 2 years of none of that hormonal nonsense, I have been feeling a bit hungrier, bloated, sore boobs and feel like I am eating more - maybe I need to have a week or two of calorie tracking again. Still planning to stick to 3.75mg until I see how this plays out/hopefully settles down over the coming weeks/months.

End of week - 34 (5 x 2.5mg, 29 x 3.75mg)
SW - 21st 5lbs BMI 44.8
CW - 15st 10lbs BMI 32.7
Losses (2024) - 10,2,2,4,1,3,3,3,1,3,2,2,3,3,2,3,3,2,1,4,0,2,3,3,1,4,0
Losses (2025) - 0,3,2,1,3,1,1
Total loss - 5st 11lbs (80lbs), 27.1%
Next Target 🎯- 14st 3lb by end June (BMI < 30, 100lbs lost, Onederland!)

It was the last dose of my current pen, tried the hard twist and for the second time it didn't work - just stopped half way down and internal plunger never moved at all - so I had to use a syringe again. Next pen is in the fridge all ready for next week and once I get to the bonus dose I am going straight to syringes and save myself a double jag!

Well done everyone on their milestones, NSVs and losses 💗

Arglefraster · 15/02/2025 17:56

Love the belt NSVs & parachute hoist fabric 🎉

This is my ultimate goal
but I am no longer an outlier among people, or habitually one of the fattest in the room

It's so nice to find people that understand- I hate that being the fattest makes me noticeable I want to fly under the radar!

My scales a still a bit sticky but I'm at that horrible don't feel any smaller but everything is extra squishy stage so I'm keeping on.

gimmemounjaro · 15/02/2025 17:58

80lbs in 34 weeks is absolutely mega @WeAllHaveWings 👏👏👏

Do you have a final number / size / feeling in mind, or just taking things one mini goal at a time?

My NSV this week was buying a size 12 White Stuff top on Vinted, short sleeved for the summer, and it just about fits me now, I mean I could wear it out at a push 🤯
(If it wasn't so flipping cold)
Very surprised given that I am nowhere near healthy weight. I haven't bought clothes from nice shops for ages, but they are obviously on the generous side of things if anyone is looking for a little boost 🙂

Weigh day tomorrow.. waiting to see if my two new tactics of eating breakfast and going for a quick walk after meals are going to pay off 🤞

VelociraptorsVelociRapping · 15/02/2025 17:59

@alltablenochairs I am so thrilled for you and your NSV. I remember you talking about slings on a previous thread, I think in relation to swimming that time.

I have a strange NSV - I think I need to re-register my face for Face ID on my iPhone. It doesn't recognise me from certain angles any more!

@VelociraptorsVelociRapping face gains confirmed by apple/Samsung * 😁

*other phones are available

WeAllHaveWings · 15/02/2025 19:04

Thank you @gimmemounjaro , I forgot to update that bit, it's 81lbs this week!

No idea what the end target is. The last time I was a comfortable size 16 was when ds(21 tomorrow!) was around 2 years old, I was late 30s, and we were trying (unsuccessfully) for a second dc. I can't remember what weight I was back then probably 13-14st (I was tall so BMI around 27). It would be amazing to get to a comfortable size 14 which would feel like a normal size) but not looking that far ahead. One step at a time for now!

It's hopefully just the increased levels in your body from the second 5mg that has given you a bigger concentration and response. Hang in there, it should get better!
Glad to see you over here, I hope all is going well with your provider.

MooBaggage · 15/02/2025 22:24

I had a good NSV today - am at my dp's this weekend and for the first time I can remember, I wrap his bathtowel around me after my shower and there was no gap at the front 😁😁😁

He doesn't have huge bathsheets like I do and it's always annoyed me - but now is all good!

ElanBridge · 15/02/2025 22:30

We just visited our DS and DIL. I’m on week 7 and have lost 18lbs - only DH knows. But he was diagnosed diabetic 3 weeks ago and so as far as everyone else is concerned, he is eating low carb to get his sugar levels under control and I’m eating the same things to support him. Tonight as we were leaving, DS hugged me, stopped, then said “are you shrinking? You feel very short tonight?” I just laughed and said it was because I wasn’t wearing shoes, but he said “no, you’re shorter”. I can only think I felt different to him but he didn’t realise quite why. Can I claim that as a NSV do you think? 🤔

Thanks. Yes provider is brilliant. Pens arrive on time, nice to have a bunch that started at the same time.

I've reported side effects and I could get a call back but not sure what they can tell me any different really as I know sickness is a common side effect.

I'm going away Tomorrow and I've not managed it out of bed today so I'm going to do travel sickness medication first thing and just pack for all eventualities. Unfortunately the travel sickness meds didn't stop the mausea/sickness.

And next sat I'll have a TV day or something. Long term I so hope this gets better 😬. I've read for some people it's been set off by what they eat but I think for me it's just been the jabs. Grr.

gimmemounjaro · 16/02/2025 08:49

Weigh day for me

SW: 241.2lbs, 109.4kg, 17st 3
CW: 184.5lbs, 83.7kg, 13st 3
GW: 160lbs / 11st 6?

This week -1.1lbs
Total loss: 56.7lbs / 25.7kg / 4st 1

Drifting slowly downwards...

Interestingly I have been doing more strength training this week and my scales do say that all of this week's loss was fat. So that's not exactly a NSV but victory of body composition rather than weight. Also I feel leaner, like I've lost more than I have. So all good and bring on another week 💪

This week's job is to keep up the exercise, maybe start running again if it's going to be a bit warmer, have breakfast every day to try and get my metabolism going and my BMR up a bit.

NearlyNewHip · 16/02/2025 09:00

Had my week 18 weigh in yesterday and stayed the same. Not mad, bound to happen now and again x
But on Friday.......I managed to get a Hobbs suit for work on vinted for £20!!!! The lady kindly told me that although it says 18, it really is more like a 16, so I kept everything crossed and it fit!!!!!!! And I will look absolutely fab when I wear it to work (usually just black bottoms and shirt as with the extra weight, I always thought blazers looked ridiculously bulky on me).

MooBaggage · 16/02/2025 09:08

I had a family belated birthday tea at my Mum's last night and managed to eat sensibily..! Way less than I would normally, but did have a bit of everything so as not to raise suspicion 😄

Today is another birthday meal - this time for my Dad, who's 80 today. Must admit I'll be glad when it's tomorrow and a normal week with normal routines again! Our family birthdays are all between Jan - April - has always been a pain but even more tricky at the moment!

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 16/02/2025 09:24

@MooBaggage Well done! It’s my birthday during the week and DD and DS2 are taking me out for dinner. God only knows how I’m going to eat anything near my normal amount as I’m usually a glutton when it comes to Thai food and this 10mg is another level entirely!!

Burnserns · 16/02/2025 09:38

Hello, can I join? Started MJ on 1st Feb

SW- 124kg
CW- 120 kg
TW- 73kg? Maybe. I literally have not been a "normal" BMI since the age of 7. So no idea what I'd look like in the normal range. One day at a time.

I'm reading back over the thread and it is heartening to read your stories.

Timetofindme · 16/02/2025 11:11

I think I'm going to have to drop back to 5mg. I've done 6 doses of 6.25mg (didn't want to do the full jump up to 7.5) and I've had another night of feeling awful, many loo trips and the dreaded sulphur burps. I only had 1 episode like it at all in the first 4.5 months, and I've had 2 in 6 weeks since I went up a part dose.

Plans for today cancelled and chilling at home drinking loads of water and some of the clear whey protein. May attempt some chicken soup later but arghhhh it's so frustrating. Feels like if I'm 100% perfect with everything including water it's fine but the minute I'm not it results in this. I know I've not overeaten or eaten red meat, I think it's been a slightly lower water and veg intake for a couple of days and bam. Can't cope with it!
