W4 D7 and weigh-in complete, calculations done and I’ve lost 1.6lbs taking me from BMI 28.2 to 27.2 and safely past the stone barrier. Total loss is 5.6lb which is perfect and no side effects worth mentioning. Sleep apnea has improved marginally according to my monitor

Bonus dose this afternoon.

SW -11st 5
CW - 10st 13.4
GW - 9st

I'd love to try something like that, but I don't like honey and I can't have dairy 😂
So porridge it is!

They do quite a lot of no dairy alternatives these days - definitely soya or coconut milk yoghurts.

JoanCollinsDiva · 07/02/2025 10:44

Weight day start of week 4 for me and I've lost another 3lbs taking me to 10lbs lost in three weeks, which I'm pleased with.

SW: 13st 6lbs
CW: 12. 10lbs
GW: 11 stone ish

I'm going out to a smokehouse tonight for food and will have a few cocktails - doesn't seem to be harming things so far and I do love a cocktail! It's important to me to have a bit of a cheat day or il go insane. I also think it's a good idea to mix things up a bit and maybe have a day where you have a few more calories - that's also why I jab on a Friday so I don't go too mad at the weekend which has been my downfall in the past. It's hard to binge on this stuff (impossible in fact so far).

Well done all the fabulous losses and those who have sts or gained - remember if you're still on the 2.5mg dose it's only meant as a preparation dose to get your body ready for the big guns! Apparently in trials most people didn't really start to lose until they got on the higher doses.

Those of us who are losing well on 2.5mg are what they call super responders!

Keep on keeping on 💪

mince3point14159265 · 07/02/2025 10:47

@Bumspray apologies for late reply! Sorry to hear your initial few days have been a bit rough. Did you have quite a heavy weekend food-wise before injecting? A lot of people have recommended eating light the day before starting with these drugs. If that was the case, then hopefully things will settle down and will get easier as your body becomes accustomed to MJ. Alternatively, you may find it helps to reduce the dose by counting clicks and gradually working your way up.
You're more than welcome to stick around here (the more the merrier!), but you may find it more helpful to join the February Starters thread so that other posters are at the same stage as you. However I really recommend reading other threads as you will pick up useful tips to help your journey. 🤗

Has anyone had MedExpress price match yet? It looks like you order, then get credit on your account.

Jins · 07/02/2025 11:27

Yes I’ve just done it. Matched with Oxford Online and account credited with the difference

cloudjumper · 07/02/2025 11:32

Here's something I never thought I'd say - I'm struggling to eat enough! Esp this week, since doing the 5 mg jab on Tuesday. Suppression is really good/high, but I'm now getting to the point that I find it difficult to get enough calories in, and it's starting to affect me... I really don't want to go back to 'eat little and often', as this from experience is my downfall - I end up constantly snacking! But I struggle to then eat enough at my main meals, it's a bit of a vicious cycle. I've been feeling very flat this week, low energy, tired, cold, and nothing in the tank when exercising in the gym (the last one particularly bothers me, I usually really enjoy my workouts). Most days I barely get over 1000 cals, which is just not enough! But eating large amounts or really calorie-dense foods makes me feel slightly nauseous.
We're off skiing for half term, and I really need to fuel up appropriately, otherwise I will struggle and not be able to enjoy the holidays. Damned if I do and damned if I don't!

Jins · 07/02/2025 11:43

I’m finding it fascinating how much we all differ in our responses to MJ. I’ve had reasonable suppression and have been hungry for my meals. What it’s done for me is make me able to resist snacking. Apart from the cider, chips and chocolate of course.

I’m hoping to get more suppression with a higher dose but this 4 week period has been fabulous for showing me what I can eat and still lose weight slowly

Same here!
Most days I'm drinking 5 x instant coffee with full fat milk and 1 sugar just to get something in. I'll then have something small in the evening with maybe a banana in the day.
Yesterday we had a long day at work (8.45am-9.15pm) and ate half a nutrigrain bar all day. I had a total of 335 cals.
HOWEVER, DH was not happy and has taken me out for a massive fry up this morning as we are having the day off, (2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 proper sausages, 2 hash browns, beans, tinned tomatoes and toast), and I ate THE LOT.
I'm not particularly happy with myself, but it will be the only thing I'll have until tomorrow now, and I had nothing yesterday.
Due my 3rd 2.5mg jab tomorrow morning, so I'm glad I weighed this morning 😆

Hi, im about to order my 5mg dose. I ordered with Med Express before but is there anywhere cheaper and does anyone know if Med Express price match? x

Constantdieter · 07/02/2025 14:30

Ordered mine from them this week (5mg), and sent them a Chemist4u £139 price match.
Just waiting for them to come back to me.

I switched to pillsorted. Code for £50 off new orders so took the total to about
£105 once delivery was factored in.
Go on monj.co.uk and it will show you the cheapest suppliers and all the codes.

The extra dose left in the syringe when you've taken all 4 measured amounts

Great. I've ordered and sent a price match for a 2.5mg, hopefully they credit it quickly.

If you look on monj.co.uk, you can see the cheapest providers. I switched from Medexpress to Zava for my 5mg pen, it was very easy.

As my iron is often on the low side when I have blood tests and have been feeling particularly crap after a heavy period this week, I thought I would try Spatone water this morning....big mistake. It tastes rank and have feeling nauseous ever since. I have just done my fourth jab and usually feel a bit nauseous afterwards anyway. This is going to be a fun evening 😢

Laura7010 · 07/02/2025 15:44

Feeling much better today after 2 days of feeling absolutely terrible after my first 5mg dose. I can only describe it as feeling poisoned! I could barely eat and was so tired. I had to leave work early yesterday and slept all afternoon. Thankfully I feel much more human now. Hopefully that’s me used to the does now! Though I’m not sure whether to do 3.75mg instead or stick with it in the hope my body has already gone through the awful bits! Anyone else experienced bad side effects from initial 5mg but on with the following ones?

I take this too. I find if I put the plain one in a small glass of orange juice, I can’t taste it. And the OJ helps with iron absorption too.

Jins · 07/02/2025 16:31

I’ve just done my bonus dose and got 0.8ml out of the pen so that’s 3.33 mg and I’ll see if that makes a difference

TheOriginalNutty · 07/02/2025 16:49

Hi hope it's ok to join in.

I took my first dose of 2.5 last Tuesday evening and the following week was great, with good suppression and very mild side effects like tiredness and feeling cold. I lost 4.7lbs.

Took second dose this Tuesday and was fine until last night when I started with mild sulphur burps.
Woke at 4am today with continued burps and nausea. Could definitely feel food sitting heavy in my stomach.
The heaviness has now gone and the nausea has eased up but I still have mild burps.

This now has me questioning whether to stay on it or not. I know this wasn't a horrendous experience but I don't want to be laid up for 12 hours each week if this happens each time. I luckily was able to take today off but won't be able to do that again.

I'm trying to work out if I did anything different this week. I think maybe I'd not drunk as much water on Wednesday possibly, and also I've been a little constipated. Would this make much difference ?

Any tips to avoid this again. I'd really like to finish this pen at the very least. 😊

MummyInTheNecropolis · 07/02/2025 17:03

I’m 24 hours in to my first 5ml dose and haven’t had any side effects as yet, other than being cold but that’s pretty normal for me! Suppression is still strong, no desire to snack and don’t fancy anything sweet at all. Going out for dinner tonight at an Italian restaurant. Think I might just have a starter as I can’t eat a big portion and I’m not really feeling pasta or bread at the moment.
